Gee, Yogi, there's an official car at the ranger's station.
(Yogi) 'And it's all the way from Washington DC.'
But what's it all about, Yogi?
Who knows, Boo Boo, they never tell us a thing.
But, uh, with my accumulated knowledge
I would guess that, uh, they are thinking up more rules
to restrict the activities of us bears.
So, you see, Ranger Smith
it's Jellystone Park's turn this year
to provide a couple of bears for shipment
to one of the municipal zoos in the country.
Your last year shows 52 bears
'and 50 is plenty for any park.'
I don't wanna lose any of my bears.
(male 1) 'They are not your bears, Smith'
'and they won't be lost.'
You'll know where they are in a zoo.
You'll have to pick out two to go.
Oh, no, I couldn't put a finger on two bears.
That's out. You'll have to do the choosing.
Okay, I'll pick two.
Uh, number 14 and number 37 on your list.
Which ones are they?
Number 14..
That's Yogi. Gee.
(male 1) 'Let's not get misty over some dusty, old bear, Smith.'
Yogi, that's one.
Now, uh, who's number 37?
Oh, no. Boo Boo!
Boo Boo?
Your bears have odd names.
Well, that's that, and they'll be very happy
at the Cincinnati Zoo.
Yogi and Boo Boo in Cincinnati?
(male 1) 'What's wrong with Cincinnati?'
Well, nothing, except it seems so far away.
Well, thank you, Ranger Smith.
The truck is waiting over on the road.
Now you get the bears into it.
Okay.
[engine revving]
Home breaker.
There goes the official car, Yogi.
What do you think happened?
I would guess that, uh..
...Mr. Ranger may have been transferred.
knock knock knock
(Yogi) 'Mr. Ranger, sir, may we come in?'
Come on in, Yogi.
Bad news, Mr. Ranger?
Yes, Yogi, bad news.
Yogi, I'm afraid our association is at an end.
I'm sorry to hear that, sir. We'll miss you.
(Ranger Smith) 'And I'll miss you also, and, and Boo Boo.'
Gee, that guy from Washington must've told him.
Yogi is sure being big about it.
Uh, when does it happen, sir?
Right now, Yogi.
Well, uh, let's walk to the car together, sir.
I sure appreciate the way you're taking this, Yogi.
Any other animal would be sore
about being shipped to the Cincinnati Zoo.
The zoo?
I thought you knew, Yogi.
I had nothing to do with it, it was orders from the top.
I see, sir.
I don't wanna stay around not wanted.
Uh, Mr. Ranger, if Yogi has to go, I'll go with him.
(Ranger Smith) 'Thanks, Boo Boo, you are going with him.'
Oh..
It's nice to know that I have..
...one friend around here.
Okay, okay, you two gotta go.
I have my orders. Let's go.
Come on, come on, get into the truck, Yogi.
That's it, lock it up.
Take it away.
[sobbing] Well, there they go.
Poor Yogi and Boo Boo.
Maybe the zoo will be fun, Yogi.
It's no fun being locked up in a cage
after being a Jellystone Park bear, Boob.
We have to get outta here before we get to the zoo
in Cinci-whosis.
Hey, the truck stopped.
'Hey, maybe now's our chance.'
Quick, on the double, Boob.
We shall run into the forest.
A clean getaway, Boo Boo.
They'll never know where we are.
Even I don't know where we are, Yogi.
We are hundreds of miles from Jellystone, Boo Boo.
Deep in the forest. Fugitives of injustice.
Like Robin Hood and his merry men
we shall sally forth, taking from the rich
giving to the poor, and there's no one poorer than us, Boo Boo.
Yogi Hood and his merry Boo Boo.
I don't feel very merry, Yogi.
Look, Boo Boo, that farmhouse, you see?
(Yogi) 'The lady is putting a pie on the window sill to cool.'
My, my, a huckleberry pie. Ya-a-ay!
whoosh
A bear? Help! My pie.
A bear! Help!
Both of them escaped? While you were eating?
Okay, thanks for letting me know.
Yogi and Boo Boo.
They know nothing but the protected life
of Jellystone Park, they could starve to death.
Want any more milk, Yogi?
No thanks, Boo Boo.
When I finish these turkey legs
I shall have a chocolate watermelon pie
and, uh, then a nap.
(man on radio) 'Those bears that have been raiding homes'
'for food this past week, are now turning their attention'
'to food markets, today one ton of frozen pizza pies'
'disappeared from a Freeport supermarket.'
Maybe Yogi didn't do it.
'Bear tracks were found all over the floor.'
That's Yogi.
'The mayor has declared open season'
'on bears in this area.'
I've got to get over there, right away.
whoosh
vroom
"Bear hunting in season today."
But they're not allowed to hunt us, are they, Yogi?
In Jellystone Park, no, but out here, yes!
bang bang bang
Head for the cave, Boo Boo.
They're after us, Yogi.
Jellystone Park was never like this, Boob.
From Jellystone Park, eh?
Well, I'll be glad to have you join the hunt, Ranger Smith.
Thank you, mayor.
We almost had 'em once today
'but those bears are fast.'
- 'They got away.' - They did?
Oh, but we'll have 'em by nightfall.
Oh, boy, I gotta find Yogi and Boo Boo fast.
Yogi?
Boo Boo?
A cave? Could be.
I'll take a peek.
(Ranger Smith) 'Psst, Yogi?'
'Are you in there?'
Boo Boo, it's Ranger Smith.
- Don't shoot, Mr. Ranger. - Good to see you, sir.
Arrest them, sir, they shot at us government-protected bears.
I have no authority here, Yogi.
I hear them coming, Mr. Ranger.
Quick, both of you. Lie down, and play dead.
I'll get you out of this mess.
Good, that'll do it.
'Alright now. Remember. Play dead.'
bang bang
Hey, mayor, over here.
I got 'em, I got 'em.
(male 2) 'Ah, good work, ranger.'
Well, have a nice trip back to Jellystone, Ranger Smith.
And, uh, thanks for helping us get those bears.
Don't mention it. All in the line of duty.
I can use those bear skins back at the ranger's station.
How is it up there, Yogi?
It's a little drafty, sir.
It's windy too, Mr. Ranger.
But we'd rather play dead than get shot in the head.
He-he-hey!
