(male narrator) As the tourist season comes to a close at Jellystone Park
the hard working rangers relax
by reading or pursing some hobby.
[phone rings]
Hello? Oh, hiya, Bill.
Uh-huh, I've been reading up on my
"Do It Yourself Hypnotism Book."
I need a subject to practice on.
How 'bout you?
What's that?
Use one of the bears?
[laughs] That's very funny, Bill.
I'll be seein' ya, so long.
Hypnotize one of the bears, he says.
[laughs]
Hmm? Why not?
Yogi, Yogi Bear, report to my office at once.
Now what, just as us bears are gettin'
down to some serious hibernatin'.
Duty calls, but I'll be back, Boo-Boo.
[snores]
Bein' a government protected bear has its drawbacks.
Like the ranger, for instance.
Yogi Bear in the fur reporting, sir.
You're getting sleepy, sleepy, sleepy.
You get me out of bed to tell me this?
Look me in the eye, Yogi.
Hmm. Ah, it's a little on the blood shot side, sir.
Just relax. You're getting sleepy.
'You're eyelids are heavy. You're falling asleep.'
Oh, now I get it.
You're right, sir, I am feeling drowsy.
I could drop over any minute.
[snores]
I did it, I put him to sleep! Can you hear me, yogi?
I can't hear so good on an empty stomach.
But a piece of chocolate cake might help the acoustics.
Huh? Oh, okay, just a minute.
- Here. - Oh, thank you.
chomp chomp
Now, can you hear me?
I read you loud and clear, sir.
Okay, Yogi, you are no longer a bear.
You are a dog.
Bow-wow, bow-wow like wow wow.
It worked, I changed Yogi from a bear to a dog.
Bow-wow.
Okay, yogi, you've had it.
You are now a bear again.
What happened?
I dreamed I was buryin' a bone!
[chuckles] 'Just forget it, Yogi.'
'Back to your cave and hibernate.'
I don't wanna hurt the ranger's feelings
but this hypnotisical stuff gives me a laugh.
I'll try it on Boo-Boo anywho and get a few more laughs.
[chuckles]
[snores]
[instrumental music]
Boo-Boo, buddy, you are getting sleepy.
Look me in the eye, Boo-Boo.
You are getting sleepier and sleepier.
Well, I got him good and relaxed.
Now, I'll prove there's nothin' to this hypnotisical stuff.
Boo-Boo, you are no longer my bear-type buddy.
You are a bird.
[snores]
Ah, what I tell ya, nothin'.
[chirps]
[chirping]
oh, no, Boo-Boo bear a bird, it can't be.
Hey, wait, Boo-Boo!
Come back here!
[chirps]
[instrumental music]
Boo-Boo a flyin' bear!
That's ridiculous, Bill.
I don't care how many people saw it.
Bears don't fly.
Hmm. I'll call ya later, Bill, something just came up.
(Yogi) 'Oh, Mr. Ranger, sir.'
Yogi, why aren't you hibernatin'?
Sir, I want to report that my buddy Boo-Boo
has flown the coop, and it's all your fault
'you and your hypnotisical book.'
My book? You mean, you hypnotized Boo-Boo?
Oh, no.
Maybe I can do somethin' about him before the commissioner
hears about this.
You crazy bear.
We're both in this together, right crazy sir?
I do not see any flying Boo-Boos.
There he is, about 300 feet up.
He's headed straight for a cliff.
Look out!
thud
What am I doing up here?
Help, Yogi, help!
Hold on, Boo, help's a-comin'.
Now all you do is jump on the end of that plank.
I'll do the rest.
I read you loud and clear.
boing
clang
thud
Anymore bright ideas, sir?
Okay, sir, lower the boom, I mean bear. Hey, hey, hey.
This bear is heavier than a sac of cement.
Easy does it, sir, easy, easy.
whirr
whoosh
thud
I never thought that Yogi would pass by me without sayin' hello.
And what is this, sir?
(Smith) 'This is a pilot ejector seat I'm perfecting.'
Now, I press this button and an explosive charge
will propel you up.
Grab the bear, release the parachute
and you will float down, are you ready?
For my pal Boo, ready, willing and able.
boom
Hmm. Needs a little work yet.
This'll do it, Yogi.
When I let go, the balloons will carry
you up to Boo-Boo.
When you grab him, the extra weight
will bring you both down, it's very simple.
I understand it, sir.
- I'm simple minded. - Now, don't drop him.
They do not call me sticky fingers yogi for nothin', sir.
- Hi, Yogi. - Hi, Boo.
Glad to have you aboard, little pal.
Where are we going, Yogi?
Into the wild blue yonder, I guess.
Oh, no.
[phone rings]
Ranger smith speaking.
(superintendent) 'This is the superintendent.'
'There are two bears floating over the park.'
'Did you hear me?'
'I said there are two bears..'
I know, I know, I know.
