"THE LOST TOMB 2 - Explore With The Note"

"Episode 37"

Slowly now.

I'm telling you,

stop messing around until...

the supply truck arrives.

Is there a doctor here?

Doctor?

Why do you need a doctor?

I feel like...

something's wrong with me.

My memories...

are all garbled up,

I can't remember anything.

And the more I think, the more my head aches.

Our Chief, Shou Shan,

can diagnose you.

But,

he definitely won't help you.

Think about it.

Every man who returns from..

the Forbidden Land carries a curse.

His brother...

suffered from the same odd disease and died.

He must hate you.

Why would he ever help you?

It makes sense that you feel tired.

That's because...

I fed you sleeping pills.

This...

None in there.

I did it to help you.

Do you know...

the person who came back...

committed suicide.

Your symptoms...

are exactly like his were.

-Hold on. -I...

He committed suicide?

That happened...

many years ago.

After he returned to the village,

his body was covered with purple spots.

Then, his skin started to fester...

and stink.

He was rather strong.

He insisted...

to find herbs alone in the snowfield.

But for uncertain reasons,

he committed suicide out there.

His corpse...

was brought back by the mountaineering team.

Mountaineering team?

When did that happen?

It happened ages ago.

Lastly,

they were hit by an avalanche.

I was still a kid then.

My elder sister...

was curious about...

the outside world.

When the mountaineers came,

she was so excited.

When they...

lodged at our house,

my elder sister...

had never before seen...

those fancy gadgets they had.

So she pestered them,

and asked all sorts of questions.

Then, you should...

know them very well.

They...

didn't stay long.

But my elder sister...

still wrote...

to one of the mountaineers.

I read her letters...

and diaries.

So, I kind of...

know what happened.

Why did you ask all this for?

You better rest up.

Don't mention...

the Forbidden Land again.

"Forbidden Land"

Where is this map for?

Is it hand-drawn?

This is our Snow Village...

and the topography of nearby mountains.

Every family...

who hunts...

has such a hand-drawn map.

It's passed from generation to generation.

Each generation...

will update the map.

So this empty space...

is what you call the Forbidden Land?

Yes.

No one ever enter this area.

We mark it out...

to prevent...

trespassing when hunting.

Stop following me.

You may not have...

such luck next time.

Excuse me, may I know...

I don't know anything.

Do you know...

No, I don't.

Uncle,

can I ask you about someone?

He looks...

like a delicate pretty boy.

At this height.

A young guy.

Extremely handsome.

But, not as handsome as me.

Have you seen this person?

No, never.

Please think carefully. Have you seen him?

No, no. I haven't.

I haven't seen him.

Fine.

Anything to buy?

No, I'm fine.

All right.

Can I ask you about someone...

Don't know anyone.

You guys are so unfriendly.

Wait.

Auntie,

Can I ask you about someone?

He's not from your village.

But he's quite young.

Quite handsome. Have you seen him?

No. I don't know him.

Never seen him.

Uncle,

can I ask you about someone?

He's not from your village.

He's quite young.

He looks neat...

and delicate like a pretty boy.

Have you seen him?

No, I haven't.

He's about this tall.

No idea.

Does it know him?

Of course not.

True.

Mr. Naive!

Mr. Naive!

Mr. Naive!

What the heck!

Sir,

I have him here.

Keep him from Wu Xie for the time being.

Understood.

Folks!

My hometown is also in Dongbei!

Folks!

I'm also from Dongbei!

We're from the same hometown!

You've got the wrong guy!

You're mistaken! You've got the wrong guy!

Right, right!

Let go of me, hurry!

Folks...

You.

Wait.

You invited me here,

because you missed me?

Why are you here?

I'm here for the same reason as you.

Are you...

hiding Mr. Naive?

Tell you what.

You're being way too boring.

Do you think you could...

hide whatever's between you and him?

You can't hide nothing from me.

So, let's be respectful,

and talk nicely.

Tell me where's Mr. Naive.

Mr. Naive!

Mr. Naive!

All right already.

You must have...

got here by tracking...

Wu Xie's GPS.

If I had hid him,

you'd never find him.

So, what do you mean?

To tell you the truth,

we're looking for him too.

We don't know...

his exact location.

You talked about being respectful.

Work with me to look for Wu Xie.

Don't cause me trouble.

How do you know I'd cause trouble?

You could be the trouble.

You're hilarious.

This village is very strange.

If you want to find him at the soonest,

you'd better stay right here.

Stay out of trouble.

Get out of my way.

I'm hungry!

Is there anything to eat?

Jin Yang!

Look!

What?

I suspect...

those people...

were not mountaineers at all.

They were here seeking for...

treasures or ruins.

Why do you think so?

I haven't...

heard of any treasures nearby.

Look at this topography.

The back is as wide as its front,

shaped like turtle shell.

It's vital energy.

This is one of the best spots...

in terms of feng shui.

Look.

From the village to the mountain behind,

it fits this feature.

Also,

this Forbidden Land...

is surrounded by mountains.

The surrounding trees stand tall...

and the soil is rich.

This is where the best spot is,

which is the perfect location...

to hide treasures.

Way to go.

It sounds logical.

But, I can't read much information...

with a map like this.

Thanks to...

the map being hand-drawn,

those terrains...

are very detailed.

And I...

just got back from there.

But,

aren't you curious?

This map was...

handed down...

from your ancestors.

Don't you want to update it?

Forget it.

The marked area...

is wide enough for hunting.

We needn't risk it.

Isn't there...

a gold mine near the village?

That's why your ancestors...

moved here,

and took the surname "Gold".

Also, look at this landscape.

I suspect...

the gold mine...

is in this Forbidden Land.

Want to check it out?

My friend.

I'm happy with...

having food to eat and clothes to wear.

Why go looking for trouble?

Jin Yang.

You said...

you wanted to find your sister in the Forbidden Land.

She's your only kin.

Are you giving up so soon?

I think...

she must be dead by now.

Dead or alive, you should see her.

It's human sentiment...

and a family's form of care.

I believe...

you're not like...

the other folks in this village.

You lied to them...

to shelter me,

so, you won't...

give up on your sister.

By the way,

I have a tube of Piyanping ointment.

Bring it with you.

In case,

you get a rash or something,

you can use it.

Jin Yang.

Come with me!

-Hold on. -Wu Xie!

Take Wu Xie away!

-Chief. -Move aside!

Today is already the seventh-day!

We need to take Wu Xie away!

If the Mountain Deity gets mad,

no one can stop Him!

Chief,

isn't today the seventh-day?

-We'll be doomed if it happens! -But...

Move aside!

-Chief! -Take him away!

-Take him! -Let me go!

-Let me go! -Move it!

Chief!

-Stay out of this! -Jin Yang!

Let's go!

Chief!

Check all equipment!

Ready to go!

Yes!

Hold on.

You needn't go on this mission.

Wait here.

You'd better not show up first,

to avoid...

a confrontation with them.

I can go by myself.

I have confidence.

We'll wait outside the village.

Don't play any tricks.

Don't worry.

I don't wish him harm.

Go ahead if you have...

any suggestions.

Why don't we let him go?

If we chase him away,

nothing will happen.

We can't just let him go.

What if the disease...

outbreaks in the village again?

I think...

it's safer to hold him for a few days.

Our grandson...

has been having a fever.

I don't know if...

it's because of him.

He's been here...

for several days,

and nothing's happened.

It's kind of weird.

Maybe we let him go for now and see.

No way we're letting him go,

just in case.

Chief.

What are you doing here?

We're talking business here.

Don't meddle.

In fact, it's not hard to decide.

It's the fairest to hand...

Wu Xie over to the Mountain Deity.

He broke the taboo,

the Mountain Deity will punish him.

If not,

we can't malign a good person.

All right, you crooked little man.

No.

Is there anyone more vicious than you?

You exile a life...

into the wilderness.

Even without punishment,

will he even survive?

Where on earth did you come from?

How dare you insult our Mountain Deity!

Who are you to talk!

Right!

Do I look like I'm from the wilderness?

Rookie!

Tell you what.

The one whom you kidnapped is my friend.

Where did you hide him?

Tell me now.

If not,

this is the end of your village.

Get in.

Behave yourself.

Behave yourself!

Let's go.

Go.

I'm here to send you food.

Drink some water first.

Here.

Is it poisonous?

How can you say that!

I'm here to send you water.

Biting the hand that feeds you?

A cultured woman...

must know reason better.

Well...

Listen to me,

those that they do are all illegal.

If my friend...

is really sent into the mountains,

he won't come out alive.

You have to let me go.

I have to save him.

My dad must have...

his reasons for doing so.

There's something wrong with your friend.

I'm only here to send you water.

I shall leave now.

No!

He's a good person.

He's as kind as you, lady.

Can you watch a good person...

be trapped in the snow mountain...

and eventually die?

Do you know...

I was an orphan since I was a kid.

It's his parents...

who took care of me...

and brought me up.

I promised his parents...

to look for him...

and get him home.

I came all the way from Beijing.

I climbed the snow-capped mountains for 3 full days.

All that I do...

are to repay their kindness.

I promised them.

I know you promised your dad too.

But, I made my promise to them first.

Seeing as I promised them first,

you should help me...

with my promise first.

After that,

you can do your promise to your dad.

So, can you understand...

such a logic?

It's called first come, first served.

If according to you,

I promised my dad first,

but I didn't promise you.

And my dad said...

you're not a good man.

I can't promise you.

Lady,

not only can you reason but you're smart too.

He's sick.

Incurable disease.

He has had...

many sessions of chemo therapies.

Do you know...

Do you know he needs drugs...

to maintain his life?

Such drugs...

can only be found in big cities, so...

he must meet his parents...

before he dies.

Do you understand?

So, let me go now.

I have to save him.

Sir,

are you all right?

I'm fine.

Give it to me straight.

Yes.

We lost contact with Shun...

after he went looking for the village chief.

Wu Xie is hidden.

Wang is tracking down Shun,

but...

we haven't an update yet.

Sir.

Find Wu Xie immediately.

I don't care what you have to do.

The situation is growing...

increasingly volatile.

You need to keep it at bay.

I'm running out...

of patience.

Wu Xie was taken away by the villagers.

Eat this.

-Smells good! -You eat, too.

You tied me up here!

Eat while it's hot.

It'll get cold soon.

It won't be nice then.

Tell you what!

When my brothers are here,

it'll be the end of your village!

Understand?

-Here. -Let me go!

Let me go now!

Or you'll be sorry!

Let me go now!

This is illegal detention!

He's so annoying.

Chief!

I was sent by the Mountain Deity...

to punish you!

You tied me up here.

I'll get a bunch of people...

to send you all up the mountains!

All hail the immortal Chief!

Dad,

I'll go and take a look.

Stay put.

Sit down.

No one goes without my permission.

All right.

What's that?

Coming for me?

You're illegally holding...

my handsome face captive...

here in broad daylight.

Don't you know the law?

What are you doing?

Taking a shower right before me?

I'm not into stuff like this, you know?

So good at shouting, huh?

What are you doing to me?

Illegally holding me captive,

then abuse me?

Let me calm you down.

Trying shouting now!

I'll calm you down!

Trying shouting now!

I'll calm you down!

Miss Ning,

the campsite has been moved...

a hundred meters inwards.

Are you sure...

our routes won't clash?

Yes.

Have you found Fatty Wang?

If you find him,

it's best that we work together.

Find Wu Xie before he gets...

into the Forbidden Land.

Just now,

we detected that Mr. Wang's signal...

had disappeared.

Where did we lose it?

The Chief's house.

Keep monitoring down the hill.

Yes.

Come at me, won't...

Don't shout.

I came secretly to give you food.

You're the kindest.

Wait. Why don't you...

just free me?

Right, you...

Tell you what.

The longer we delay,

the more risk my friend will face in the mountains.

Also, it's useless...

for your dad to lock me up,

right?

Don't worry.

I...I definitely won't back...

and trouble you.

I'm here to save him.

Wait! No...

Why are Dongbei girls so stubborn!

Wait.

Lady,

haven't you realized...

how serious this is?

My friend was tied up by you in the mountains.

If he dies,

your dad would become the murderer,

you'll be his accomplice.

Do you know that you'll be sent to jail?

Nonsense.

No one went to jail...

when my uncle died.

Why should my dad go to jail?

No.

Well. Fine.

Are you...

Are you messing with us?

Fine.

You illegally hold me captive.

You're done!

I won't eat nor drink.

You...

I won't eat nor drink.

I won't eat nor drink and starve to death.

If I starved to death, you'll be sent to jail,

right?

-You'll be sent to jail then. -You...

I think it was...

stewed pork vermicelli in the basket.

I won't eat nor drink even if you're back.

You'll starve me to death anyway.

I'll starve and die.

I'm done, I'm dead.

Here, dad.

Offering sacrifice seems...

too exhausting for you,

let me do it next time.

I had no idea that...

the animal for offering...

wouldn't cry...

after so many prayers.

I was a bit flustered indeed.

Luckily, the Mountain Deity accepted.

Hope everything goes well.

And see what will happen...

to Wu Xie next.

Who are you?

Where did you hide Wu Xie?

Who's Wu Xie?

I don't know what you're saying.

Listen to me,

my dad is exhausted now.

If you bother him further,

then excuse me for being rude.

I know...

you're all from big cities...

and very capable.

But if I find out that...

you're secretly...

plotting against my dad,

I'll do my best...

to make you pay.

Mr. Jin,

I think you got us wrong.

We're here...

to make a deal with you.

We'd like to buy the information we need with money.

I don't need money.

No villagers are short of money,

we can cater to our needs.

We don't have...

what you want here.

Please leave,

and don't come again.

What about coal in exchange?

What?

Coal?

Heavy snow cut off the road,

I suppose...

you've run out of coal.

You should know better than me...

how much coal you have left.

Tell me where Wu Xie is.

The coal will be delivered tomorrow.

Well...

Shun Zi took him away overnight.

Bury what you can't take away,

discard what's necessary,

what don't you understand?

I'm in a rush now.

I'm ordering you...

to show up immediately!

Shun Zi took him away overnight.

He took Wu Xie into the mountain?

Why did he do that?

He'll take Wu Xie...

to the site where it all happened.

If Wu Xie can survive...

one full day...

in the mountains,

it proves he's innocent.

No one can last a full day...

in subzero temperature.

There are wild animals,

and Wu Xie is still injured.

Are you insane?

Little Master,

what's going on?

Why is Ning here?

What are...

we all doing here?

Where are we going?

And,

do you know where Mr. Naive is?

I was poisoned.

I can't recall...

what happened.

Lost your memory again?

You remember how you got here,

don't you?

Someone sent me a message saying...

Wu Xie is in danger here.

So, I rushed here right away.

So,

we were tricked.

Follow the plan...

and find Wu Xie first.

But where are we going to find him?

You don't know that I've seen...

the parochial villagers here...

and their implacability.

It's already the 21st century,

I can't believe...

a place so superstitious exists.

Preposterous.
