We are moments away
from what is sure to be

another incredible night
of extreme mini golf.

That's right, Joe.

The "Holey Moley" team
has been hard at work

prepping the course
for tonight's matchups,

and I can assure you that
no detail has been overlooked,

including the facilities
over at the Porta Putty hole,

which I personally
tested just moments ago.

You know those are just
set pieces, right, Rob?

What do you mean
"set pieces," Joe?

They're not functional
restrooms.

Oh. [ Chuckles ]

Well, in that case,
my sincere apologies

to the "Holey Moley"
art department.

Okay.
Here's how it works.

We got Round 1 coming up,
with eight golfers.

They face off in a series
of head‐to‐head matchups.

The winners are gonna move on
to a sudden‐death Round 2.

Only the best survive
to the third and final round,

where you're gonna play
for The Golden Putter,

the coveted Holey Moley
plaid jacket,

and most importantly, a spot
in the season finale,

where one champion
will make a putt

worth
a quarter million dollars

on Stephen Curry's
Tomb of Nefertiti.

Tonight's golfers are pumped up.

So let's head straight
to our first matchup.

We've got "Frat Boy" Chris
taking on "Hipster" Aaron.

My name is Chris Morales.
I'm from Denver, Colorado.

I'm 23 years old,
and I am in cybersecurity.

During my college days, I was
a member at Pi Kappa Alpha.

We'd always go golfing
every single weekend.

And I am ice cold
from 5 feet out.

When I win "Holey Moley"...

On my putter,
I engraved on there

a little piece of a poem.

My name's Aaron Hand.

I'm a bicycle‐frame designer
from Portland, Oregon.

If people called me hipster,
I wouldn't be offended.

You know, I'm wearing
flannel every day,

so I think it's just kind of,
like, in my blood.

I enjoy hanging out with
my friends at mini golf courses.

It's all about keeping that,
like, energy alive inside of you

to be a kid.

My strategy going
into "Holey Moley"

is just keep a level head

so I can kind of sneak in
and be the underdog.

Beware those cannons.
They are on "full."

And tonight's first hole
is Water Hazard.

Players must putt
up the wave

to try to get their ball to
the protected island green.

Then they themselves have to
make it across the narrow bridge

while being blasted
by water cannons.

You fall in,
and it's a stroke penalty.

Oh, no!

Joe, I don't know about you,
but it is cold out here.

Oh, it's cold.

Anybody outside right now
without a jacket

would be
a full‐blown jackass.

Oh,

I didn't realize

trying to throw off their shots.

How did we come up with the idea
for Gopher It?

Well, there are really a lot
of gophers all over this course.

It's their home.

When we started
building "Holey Moley,"

we reached an agreement
with the gophers

that we could make the mini golf
course around their home

if they got to design
one of the holes.

So this is the hole
they designed.

They worked really, really hard,
and they did a great job.

Their original plan had
way more gophers in it,

but I think this version
turned out really great.

I'm proud of those gophers.

unnecessarily.

of my family's tartan.

this opportunity to

First round didn't go so well.

It was really very
disappointing.

She launched herself backwards
off the diving board

with just no fear.

And very artistic.

That's why she probably
goes by

of mini golf.

was that it had to end.
