(Episode 50)

This is not the place for you to barge in.

Ji Hoon.

Dad and I...

will tell the world...

about the relationship between you and me.

What's wrong?

Who is Ji Hoon with?

Don't you ever lay a finger on Ji Hoon.

Don't you dare.

How come you're being so sensitive?

Who's with Ji Hoon?

It's none of your darn business.

Stay here for a moment.

Well, aren't you the mother of Tae In?

Go outside.

Would you like to explain this situation?

Why the son of the chairman is...

seeing Tae In's mother here?

You should go.

After Tae In's marriage was called off,

for what reason do you need to see...

Whatever the reason, why should you now?

Why don't you go and stop the truck driver from talking?

I'll take her to the car.

No.

I'm fine.

You've already screwed up Tae In's life...

so how dare you to confront me?

What do you care about whom I meet?

I did have a hunch about you,

but you're truly a subhuman.

Do you think Tae In would let you get away with everything?

You are Tae In's mother indeed.

Don't you agree, Ji Hoon?

Eun Dong.

Let's go.

Mark my words.

If you wish to earn your wage under my dad's wings...

you'd better keep your hands off me.

Unless you want me...

to take everything from you.

Sure.

What choice do I have?

We'll be always the subordinates,

so we should follow what the boss tells us.

I got it.

I crossed the line.

Ji Hoon.

Dad and I...

will tell the world...

about the relationship between you and me.

Stay here for a moment.

Well, aren't you the mother of Tae In?

I'll bug every place where Han Ji Hoon goes.

Get the car ready.

We're heading the chairman's house.

Yes, sir.

Kang Tae In,

it seems like the table has turned now.

Find out what is between Chairman Han and that woman.

I hear Uncle never came home yesterday.

When he kicked you out of the house.

Calm down.

You shouldn't be losing your cool here.

Then get whatever is between them!

I did.

Just rely on me, Aunt.

What is it?

Is she really...

Not yet.

Don't show any signs of recognition to Uncle...

and just wait...

until I give you a signal.

There, lie down.

Are you seriously ill, Grandma?

Not at all.

This won't do. Let's take you to the hospital.

Don't worry. I'll be fine after some rest.

What happened?

She was a bit startled.

I'm asking what startled her.

I'm really okay.

Ji Hoon.

You should go back to the office.

Here.

Call me if her condition gets worse.

I'll taker her to our hospital.

Take care of yourself.

Don't come out.

I'll be off.

Hold on.

I just wanted to hold your hand for once.

From now on, if you hope to see your mother...

come at any time.

I'll make you a warm meal.

Okay.

Thank you for having me back, Attorney Lee.

From my experience,

the truck driver who tried to drive over Eun Dong...

was getting orders from Choi Jun Hyuk or his men.

There's no way Jun Hyuk had left a trace behind.

That's right.

They must've made the deal online,

and exchanged money through a storage box at the subway station.

Did you check the camera at the station?

Of course.

But as every criminal do, he put a mask and hat...

so it's impossible to identify him.

Chang Wook.

Let's change our direction to intentionality.

So you're saying we should revise the complaint...

about the truck driver?

Yes.

There were no skid marks at the scene.

That means he didn't hit the brake.

If we drive him for deliberate attempted murder,

the drive will have no choice but to meet Jun-hyuk.

Right?

Your uncle was keeping those.

We need something more crucial.

I did hear things from your father.

I heard that the previous chairman did a DNA test...

to exercise Ji Hoon's parental rights.

Who did the DNA test?

Your father did.

What?

That's way too long ago.

Did you discard the results?

No.

I still have them since it's Chairman Han's.

I thought I'd use them someday.

Dad.

I need that paternity confirmation.

Hand it to me.

Be precise and explain to me.

Why couldn't my mom meet me all this long?

When you were just a baby,

your grandfather brought you without telling me.

I also didn't notice at all.

Then is it really true...

that she had to live with her baby taken away?

Yes.

What's there to her life then?

Her own baby was taken...

yet she spends her life raising someone else's child.

That's why you and I need to...

make everything up for her.

And I don't mean by money but heart.

We should reveal...

Mom and me to the public as soon as possible.

I was going to, after discussing it with you anyway.

Eun Dong has a presentation to make tomorrow.

We'll open it after that.

All right.

We'll call in all of the family and make it official.

Okay.

Also,

have you met that person...

who's living with my mom?

Do you mean Tae In's father?

Yes.

I have.

I've met him several times and he was a good man.

Why do you ask?

When Chairman Han and my dad were waiting...

for a heart transplant at Korea Hospital,

your father stole the heart that was going to...

be my dad's in the middle.

Ji Hoon.

Hey, you came.

Let's finish up the final preparation for the presentation.

At the restaurant earlier,

did Choi Jun Hyuk...

Dad decided to tell the family about me...

and my mom tomorrow.

Is that right?

Then, what about Director Kang?

Let's not talk about this.

- Let's go. - To where?

Just follow me.

Why did you bring me here?

We're getting you some nice clothes for your presentation tomorrow.

- I can just wear what I have... - Excuse me.

Welcome, sir.

Can you bring me the ones I've prepared earlier?

Of course.

You look awesome.

Here, change.

That one's nice too.

Wait here.

You better hurry.

I'm sorry. Maybe next time.

Sure.

What are you doing? I've chosen them very carefully.

This is too much.

I can work harder to earn. Excuse me!

Hold on to your money.

Wasting money doesn't look so good.

I'm already so grateful for the job opportunity you gave me.

I'd be too ashamed of myself.

Aren't you kind of ignoring my sincerity?

I just wanted to give you a present for your first presentation.

Then...

I'll take only one of them.

You promised.

But I have a favor to ask.

Tomorrow's presenatation is about the new item as you know.

Why don't you wear those new items?

- Me? - Yes.

I'd be appreciated if you could...

be the model for the items that I'll be presenting.

Well, that's kind of...

I love it. Let's do that.

- Are you sure? - Of course.

Okay, then. Have a seat.

Just take these.

Here.

Eun Dong, how are you Eun Chan doing?

Are Tae In's parents being nice to you?

I was just checking in.

Don't skip meals.

I'll talk to you again.

That girl...

I'm a bit disappointed.

She's practically Tae In's family now.

She barely calls too.

Geez.

What's wrong?

Is something the matter?

Well,

I'm just...

worried about my daughter.

Your daughter?

Oh Hye Won?

Why?

Is something the matter with your daughter?

Well,

it's nothing.

We're like a family now.

Come on, talk to me.

You never know.

I could be of help.

Do you...

Do you by any chance know...

any good clinics that deal with infertility?

Infertility?

Why do you ask?

My daughter can't...

bear a child.

What?

Her in-laws think that she's pregnant,

and I feel like walking on thin ice...

worried about when they'll find out.

And she was told she can't have a child at all.

I'm worried they'd kick her out...

if they find that out too.

I see.

I'll have to at least move in and cook for them.

Sure.

Oh Hye Won is infertile and she lied about it?

This is big news.

How are you thinking of using this?

(DNA Parentage Test Report)

(Genotyping Report)

(Client A: Han Ji Hoon, Client B: Yeon Du Shim)

(Test result: The probability of maternity is 99.9 percent.)

What would you use Ji Hoon's DNA test for?

Can I trust this document?

Don't even mention it.

You could never find anyone fussier than Gwang Hoon's father.

But Jun Hyuk,

if you mess with this,

we could lose the hospital and everything else.

So, Dad,

you don't know who his biological mother is then?

No, I don't.

Why would I need to know that?

By the way,

I hear that Chairman Han is seeing a woman.

What is that about?

- Who did you hear that from? - What?

From your mom.

That feels nice.

Mom, stop. I'll do it.

I'm better at it.

Why?

Are you bothered that I'm making your mother do this?

Good grief.

I have to earn my keep. Hey!

Don't talk. You'll get wrinkles.

Mom!

What's the matter with her now?

Mom, Cha Eun Dong...

What about her now?

I think she's getting together with Ji Hoon.

No, they already are!

What are you talking about? Speak clearly.

I did suspect it, but oh, my gosh.

The two were going around high-end stores.

What?

He got on his knees to put on shoes for Cha Eun Dong.

It's as if he was proposing her.

I did all these works for nothing!

You're done with the work. Let's have a drink.

Here, take this.

- Thank you. - Sure.

It still feels surreal.

Your mother?

Yes.

I was always confused...

about why Tae In's mother was so worried...

about me.

But you must have realized as you sensed something.

Then the reason Tae In canceled the wedding was...

that he found out about Mom and me?

Probably.

How did Tae In...

take the truth about Mom and me?

He seemed to worry more about his mother than himself.

He knew that his mother longed for you her entire life.

You know a lot about Tae In.

Well, yes.

Why? Is there something on my face?

There's foam.

Do I have anything on here?

No, you don't.

- Cheers. - Cheers.

That should be good enough for the pattern.

Who could it be at this hour?

Let's go. It's late.

I'm...

going to stay by your side.

Stay with me.

Go to Ji Hoon. I'll let you go.

You'll get punished for burning the meat.

My dad would always say that.

That you'd get punished if you burn the meat.

You should say so when you're dropping something off.

Why did you just leave?

My secretary got it for me to eat,

but I forgot to eat it.

I see.

How's the preparation going for the presentation tomorrow?

I'm all ready. Ji Hoon helped me out.

Don't be careless and prepare it thoroughly.

I'll be merciless with the criticism.

Go as harsh as you want.

By the way,

I heard that Ji Hoon met up with Mom today.

Yes.

Don't tell Tae In...

about Jun Hyuk barging in today.

I don't want to trouble him again because of me.

He'll reveal the truth about his mother and proudly see her.

I knew he was tough.

Yes, Mr. Bong.

You have to get here quickly.

Okay.

I'll see you at home later.

Everyone, go home. You can leave too.

I'm certain he got orders from Choi Jun Hyuk!

The surveillance camera shows him withdrawing money.

What do you mean he dozed off?

There's no witness.

And the one who passed the money had his face all covered up.

That's why you should investigate that person!

Hold on.

You...

You are the one who imprisoned Eun Dong back then.

You took money from Choi Jun Hyuk.

You are him, aren't you?

What are you talking about?

What is this? Let go of me.

I handed you...

to the disciplinary committee. How are you still here?

How are you still working as a detective after doing that?

Do you know what she went through because of you?

Why would I care about someone like her?

What did you say?

Her life changed because of you and Choi Jun Hyuk.

I'm home.

You're late.

Yes, I had to deal with something.

Yes?

Mrs. Yeon wasn't feeling well, so ironed them myself.

I could have done it myself.

Thank you.

Thank you.

About what?

Just... For everything.

Find out where Tae In and the chairman...

will be at tomorrow.

We will now begin the presentation...

on the 2020 new summer product design concept.

I'm Cha Eun Dong...

in the Product Development and Design Center.

I'm sure you might wonder...

how I'm standing here.

Yes, I was once fired from this company...

being told that I had no right to be here...

and only caused trouble.

Despite everyone holding prejudiced views against me...

due to my past,

there were three people...

who gave me a chance...

to work.

I still have lots to learn,

but I'll do my best to live up to the expectations...

of those who gave me the energy to live, and for the company.

Please watch me with an open mind.

Good luck.

(Test result: The probability of maternity is 99.9 percent.)

It's the maternity test...

the former chairman forced her to take...

when he took Ji Hoon.

(Client A: Han Ji Hoon, Client B: Yeon Du Shim)

Yes.

The woman who gave birth to Ji Hoon is...

Kang Tae In's mother indeed.

The combination of originality and retro will...

shift the trend.

The design concept for the 2020 summer is...

composed of refreshing colors...

that came up by mixing a refreshing flower theme...

with the original black and white check pattern.

Everyday clothes will be made trendy using unique patterns.

These kinds of items look good...

if the simple patterns are worn along with minimal items.

I believe this can be a competitive product...

on the online store...

targetting women in their 30s and 40s.

Let go of everything you have...

and leave this company.

What do you think you are doing?

If you don't want to get humiliated in front of these people,

the two of you,

give up everything and leave!

(Fatal Promise)

You bit your master who fed you your whole life to death.

I ended up ruining Tae In's life.

This is a setup. How could you do this?

The one who had an affair is kicking you out instead?

Bring that woman to me this instant before I drag her here myself!

From today on, we're over.

Put your heads together among brothers and think hard.

There's no need to waste more time.

Reveal this right away.
