I'm a con artist and a scammer who cheats

The angry kidnappers who were mad about the small amount of ransom...

killing one of the hostages.

Hyung!!

Before I entered their stronghold,

that was my negotiation strategy.

I heard your excuses.

He-Hey, hey you jerk, answer me!!

Team Leader!

No!!!!

You still don't know what you did wrong.

You... Who are you?

Pied Piper Episode 2

Episode 2 If there's one thing I missed,

it's that rather than the terrorist,

I should have first persuaded the company, no, the Chairman.

That your employees are not numbers,.

But living persons

Hold on.

You know we can't air any content without confirming it, right?

You mean any content that puts down the media?

Not just us, but I'm sure nobody is releasing this.

K Group is paying a lot to enforce this.

Then, let's make it an exclusive. We even have an opportunity to spread the news of their role also in this.

Not just the suspect, but even a police officer died.

That fact alone is tragic. Why make it pointlessly sensational when it's not meant to be?

I don't understand what you're saying.

It so happens that the time is approaching for a change in the main news anchor.

I'm thinking of recommending you. Do you still not know what I mean?

Are you telling me to make a deal?

I'm giving you choices.

Either kill this item, or kill your career.

Due to the failure of police negotiation, dozens of lives,

the perpetrator, the hostage, the police officer, were jeopardized.

Because of this incident, the controversy over the responsibility

for the police negotiation failure is being discussed.

Chief Kim Sang Ho of Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency stepped down.

Yang Dong Goo, the current Police Deputy General Manager, has been proposed as his replacement for the Police Commissioner of Seoul.

One Year Later This is the next news.

A controversy is brewing prior to the opening of New Town's tourist hotel and a casino for locals.

The New Town investment is situated there to boost the economy.

Although there is no disagreement that a business is necessary

According to the opponents' opinion, the existing reality is that businesses outside of the development area

will be damaged, suffer a decline and be the cause of their death.

Ah! I said don't take pictures!

Don't come! Don't come!

If you come one step closer, then I'm actually going to jump!

Don't come!

Don't come! Or else I'm actually going to jump!

Student! I said don't take pictures!

Don't come! Don't come!

I said go! Leave!

I'm sorry I'm late! All four of my kids got the cold.

- Didn't you have three children?-I have a one more kid. The big one on the special forces team.

There's a suicide attempt on north side of Hangang Bridge. Yongsan police have already been dispatched.

- What about the negotiations team?-Why bother calling them?

Hey, they're about to get laid off any day for lack of work. Let's help them out.

I am Oh Ha Na from the Report Centre.

Don't come! Don't come!

Who is that person?

Perhaps, do you know this song?

Haven't you heard this song recently? Or gotten a weird phone call?

Hey! Aren't you a police officer?

Yes, well, I am a negotiator.

If you are here to make a deal, then you're supposed to make a deal!

Yes, well. I should. What kind of a deal should I make?

Whether you're going to jump or not?

It's a joke.

I'm Joo Seong Chan from the crisis negotiation team of Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.

Have you eaten?

Do you think I would be able to eat?

Aish, the time is so late. How long have you been up there?

I think 2 hours?

Hey, you! Give me some more alcohol!

If I don't drink it, then my whole body shakes.

Ah, alcohol is not allowed.

Ai! Give me that!

Hey! Hey, there!

-Oh!- Oh!

Hey, it's dangerous, stay where you are, I'll come up.

Are you trying to pull me down?

You think a policeman has nine lives? What if we fall together?

You have a family who would cry for you but I'm all alone.

I'll give it to you so just sit!

Aish.

Yes! We're on our way.

Pardon? They're already there?

Our team?

To scare me off the landlord told me to leave if I couldn't pay the maintenance fees.

Store or whatever I should've shaken down everything.

Even though I tried to ride it out, I couldn't even send my son to college and lost everything.

As a father, I'm too ashamed to face him.

Whether you're good or not, you're at least being a parent.

There's a lot of people out there who don't even try.

Right? You know when I was raising him...

I didn't eat or wear clothes to my content.

Why is it so cold today?

Why? Should I take it off for you?

You're very cold right? Ah, why is it so cold? When we get down,

why don't we have a shot of alcohol with a serving of hangover soup?

How's that?

Um, the washroom.

Of course! You have to go to the washroom! But not here, because there's so many people!

Here, let's go!

He's coming down!

See? I told you! He can't jump!

- Bastard! - Hold on.

I'll count to three, and then I will

cover you with this coat.

It's not that you can't jump, it's that I'm preventing you.

Alright?

Now, 1,2,3!

I'm sorry. Excuse me.

Hurry up and go.

One moment, please! One moment!

You're working hard. We're from the crisis negotiation team.

Then, that person is?

I told you not to come, didn't I?! Don't come!

Ajussi

Ajussi, Ajussi! I understand, Ajussi!

My voice might be the last thing a person hears in his life.

I got it, so please wait and talk to us!

Ahjussi don't get overwhelmed!

- No, no! Don't jump! No, you can't!- Wait!

The suicide crisis over Hangang River. Is it still ongoing?

Geez, she should just pull him down. How many hours is she spending up there listening to him?

Are you an orphan?

Yes.

The person who took me and raised me up was a very amazing police officer.

So, you too?

You grew up well.

He must've been very proud of you.

But...

I've never been sweet toward him.

Here.

Oh, that's okay. I'm working right now.

It's okay. There's only a little left anyway. - Yes.

That's not mine. You know that person before on your team?

That person looks like he has skills but he's not that great.

You're the real thing. Stay strong.

Yes.

They're finally coming down.

Jeez.

Wow, that clothing is pretty.

Crisis Negotiation. Since when did the police negotiate with criminals?

Last year, they were talking to some crazy bastard with a bomb.

Didn't they all get killed?

Look at you talk crap about an officer like you who got killed on duty.

Division Head, I heard you became a Team Leader. Congratulations!

What do you mean 'congratulations'?

Which team is it?

It's a really good team.

Go out, Agasshi.

Is that my place?

I'm Lieutenant Yeo Myeong Ha.

I'm Team Leader Gong Ji Man assigned here today.

Here are the division reports...

Oh, that's okay! Slowly, slowly.

He just got assigned. Team Leader Gong Ji Man.

I guess the rumours are correct. - What rumours?

That the boss will get rid of our team.

What?

No way.

The rumours are already spread abroad.

That guy is infamous for making tons of arrests.

He appealed to the saying he got hurt doing all the rough work.

He means to get some fresh air sitting high and mighty.

He was with the Children and Youth Division for about 2 years.

He finally got promoted this time.

But it was a vacant position. Assigning him means they'd want him to stay around.

I wish it were like that too.

I hear the Chief will get rid of the negotiation team.

If he can stand that long, I guess he was told he'd be transferred to the Public Safety Section or something.

Do you have an appointment scheduled?

Uh, no I didn't but I need to report something very important to him.

The Chief is busy with the luncheon today.

- What is it?- I apologize.

Ah, it's okay. Leave it.

Boss! I have something to tell you.

Please reconsider cutting the negotiations team.

That's not something that I can control myself. That decision comes from the opinions and votes of others.

You know very well how the late Team Leader Oh felt when he created the crisis negotiation team.

As Team Leader Oh's colleague, of course I know well. But what can I do when it can't perform?

We have to be allowed to get to the scene in order to perform.

Only big criminal cases count as incidents and civil cases don't matter?

How many times have you been dispatched? Yesterday was the first time in several months, right?

But it was resolved safely.

It took over four hours and in the end he came down. Do you call that a resolution?

If you just haphazardly get him to come down, you don't know when he'll go back up again.

Listening completely to his worries and difficulties...

Those are all excuses saying that they have no skills. Let's just say that something big happens.

- Do you even have any negotiators to be dispatched right away? - Me or my team members can...

In those situations, we need someone who's done it before, not someone who just says they can do it.

Let's go.

Oh, it came up!

Lieutenant Yeo, the video clip from last night's Hangang River is getting tons of hits.

You don't have to inform me of that.

That's not Lieutenant Yeo. Who's that?

Let me see.

Wow, he looks very skilled.

Yeah it looks like it. It looks like he's about to come down.

This person.

- I said not to come!- I got it, so wait and please talk to us!

Ahjussi don't get to overwhelmed! Calm down!

This owner.

You know him?

Where did I see him?

Wait, our track record is bad these days, huh?

Even the Code Two incidents that used to occur often are far apart. When we arrive, things are already wrapped up.

Do you think he could possibly be the suspect?

What is that supposed to mean?

The bar fight in Sinchon last time, too.

They said the police came and took care of it all, right? But the police station knew nothing of it.

- The family dispute in Gaenari Aparments, too. - That's right, right.

He shows up before the police show up and takes care of things?

Small incidents like a family dispute or calming down a drunk and sending him home?

Whoever the crazy guy is, he must not have anything to do.

Ah, damn.

Hey... You! Hey!

Hey, you jerks! Give me my money!

Hey! Let go!

Please leave!

What's with putting a casino 200 meters away from a school?

How can it be? How can it be?

K Group, get rid of your casino business!

Get rid of it! Get rid of it!

Respond, K Group's CEO Kang Hong Seok!

Respond! Respond!

What's with putting a casino 200 meters away from a school?

How can it be? How can it be?

K Group, get rid of your casino business!

I went through a lot to obtain this business. But the grand opening keeps getting delayed.

We have a huge loss.

These days, words take care of everything.

Not just pushing it through like the olden days.

Since you've become the Police Chief...

you're seemingly looking out for yourself.

Does it look that way?

There is no compromise as far as enforcing the law. But politics is different.

Wasn't there someone the Chairman had to take care of these kinds of problems?

You mean Joo Seong Chan?

He disappeared with that friend, after that incident.

Public Safety Section

Stop.

This is the car. Hyungnim, can you look this car up?

Now, let's see. Let's see.

Failed

It's an unregistered car.

How can it go faster than the police?

Do you think we're bugged?

Wiretap? That's a serious crime.

There aren't equipments readily available to wiretap the police.

He'd have to import few crucial parts...

Then... whoa.

Ah, awesome.

W-W-What? What?

He bought it so cheap.

If he bought all this at this price, he's the god of negotiation.

Anyway, shall we shake up his background?

Shall we shake it up? Shall we?

Let's shake it... C'mon...

If we shake it up...

Go!

Oh? Why is this guy coming out now?

Is this the same person? He's changed a lot in a year.

Joo Seong Chan?

Are you saying the guy going around impersonating a negotiator is Joo Seong Chan, right?

But why? Is he wanting to donate his talent to our team?

Is he turning into a crisis negotiator from a business negotiator?

There's no way. Because this person is a scammer that has no interest in saving people's lives.

Ugh, really... no love...

If I buy this much, you should give me some extra.

You think I make any profit selling this?

A regular like me is what you gain.

Since when are you a regular?

Since when? Since today.

I got it. One! Okay?

Oh, you can't!

Ugh, really... pests...

They found Joo Seong Chan, but lost him.

It's already been a year. What is he going around doing?

The reason you're looking so hard for him...

if you leave New Town to me,

That's also been a year, too.

Why can't we get the casino yet and being dragged on?

Joo Seong Chan!

Let go, let go, let go! Hey!

What? What is it?

Can't I walk here?

Are you the one going around impersonating a crisis negotiator?

What? Crisis... what did you say?

There's no use lying about it.

You should say that after bringing evidence!

Evidence?

There's a lot in the car.

I got it so let's use words.

You know me, right? We met one year ago.

You had disappeared since that incident.

Why are you going around calling yourself a negotiator?

Like you say, you know me, right?

Why are you treating a high class manpower like me helping you out for free?

I can't possibly believe that you've done it out of the goodness of your heart.

The Joo Seong Chan I know uses even human life as a wager.

Maybe that's why I'm being punished.

That time, your girlfriend passed away right?

Was it Team Leader Oh Jeong Hak?

You also lost your superior, didn't you?

It must've been hard for you.

I understand, so why...

Team Leader Oh's negotiation didn't fail.

What did you say?

Although the police may have closed the case that way,

it wasn't.

Then why did the bomb go off?

There was an accomplice. He set it off.

So while I was with you, I thought I was on the phone with the suspect.

And he told me to confess my wrongdoing in the hostage situation.

And as you know, I did that.

However, no media publicized it.

And then, BANG!

However, do you know what's more interesting?

You still don't know what you did wrong.

Who are you!!!!

The phone didn't get disconnected.

I continued to hear that voice.

And the sound of whistling.

I can still hear it in my ears.

Then why didn't you tell the police the truth?

Do you think I didn't?

I'm sure that even with the evidence the police buried it!

That's why I'm going around alone digging without the police!

Let's go to the station together and tell me everything you know.

They're the police, too, how can I trust them?

Just like you, I also lost someone precious to me.

Okay. The documents are in the car, so let's bring it.

Get in.

Hey you, you!

Open the door.

Excuse me! Excuse me!

Hey! Hey!

Hey!

Hey!

What? Let me go! You said you'd save them!

Damn!

This is not just a tragic incident.

I'm saying that it wasn't.

Why? Because there's someone behind it.

You. You, too. You're colleague died, too.

So, shouldn't you find out why he died?

You should know, too, shouldn't you?

I got it.

Fine...

Fine, fine.

Fine. I guess you don't want to know.

This scammer guy. Can't you track him?

It's not coming up, I think he turned off his phone.

You can't leave his tongue alone.

Could you help me find the data?

Which one is it?

That case from one year ago.

Incident Number 2015-728 Evidence Data, Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency

You should stop watching it now.

That person said it,

that the negotiation hadn't failed.

What wouldn't he say to get away?

Joo Seong Chan is originally that kind of person.

Here, Jung Hyeong Ho is putting out the switch towards Team Leader Oh.

Could he possibly have been doing this to hand it over, not to push it?

Oh, it does look to appear that way.

You know... it's just a guess.

Here. Do you see the light coming on?

But if you look at his thumb, doesn't it look like it's off the switch?

Hey, it really does look that way.

Then, he didn't push it, but it still exploded.

Like Joo Seong Chan said, it means the accomplice could have set it off, right?

If we analyze the debris from the vest that blew up, don't you think we'd find something?

The case is closed. There's no way the evidence still remains.

Joo Seong Chan said that he answered the phone.

I don't know what him going around as a negotiator has anything to do with it, but...

He might be looking for the person from that phone call.

Let's ask him about the details.

I told you to just leave.

You're on your feet for a long time.

Do you feel the air is stuffy because of the fine dust inside?

They're saying you're interrupting business.

- Please just go.- Wait, wait!

I don't want to ask these silly questions either.

They're telling us to do it from higher up.

So could you help us finish it up quickly?

Please just go.

Please just go. Don't be this way.

Ugh, geez. Please leave now.

Customer, if you get a number...

No one move!

Oh, what to do?

I said not to move! If you don't want to die, get down.

Quickly.

Put your heads down.

Hey,

What are you filming right now?

Well, the state of fine dust inside...

I'll kill you!

How is the thesis on Professor Watanabe going?

I sent an email yesterday, but there isn't a reply yet.

Don't just wait around. Find another away to reach him and get it to me before tonight's news...

-Get a response.-Yes.

Everyone, put your hands on your head and come out.

Hurry up!

Come out quickly.

Hurry, dammit!

New Recruit Yoon Bo Ram

New Recruit Yoon Bo Ram

Sunbae answer your phone.

I answered out of curiosity. A newbie like you...

should be busy reporting...

From now on listen properly, I have no intentions of hurting anyone,

so if you follow instructions, nothing will happen, got it?

- What?- You got it, right?

Reporter Kim, where are you right now?

Yes!

New Recruit Yoon Bo Ram

Did she call by mistake?

Why?

Where is Reporter Yoon right now?

Probably the financial district in Newtown?

Bank robbery. Prepare for breaking news.

Code zero! Code zero incident!

A perpetrator is at the scene with hostages.

The four way street in Newtown.

Excuse me. Did something happen around here?

Hostage, robbery, stuff like that...

Looks like you used your head.

Someone is quite sly.

Yes. Let's go.

Hey, hey. Let's go slowly, please. Ah, I'm going crazy.

Wait. But you didn't read me my Miranda rights, did you?

Call me a lawyer immediately.

I was going to after you got in the car. Get in for now.

You're investigating a civilian.

Excuse me. Could you videotape this please?

The police is arresting a civilian without telling a reason.

This is a scary world to live in!

You said last time that Team Leader Oh's negotiation hadn't failed, didn't you?

The accomplice you mentioned last time and the reason why you pretend to be a negotiator on the scene...

I have to hear everything you know.

So, you should explain to me first why I have to tell you,

doesn't that make it a negotiation?

Article 118, if you pretend to be a police or a government worker, you'll received three years...

or less prison sentence and pay penalty.

Oh, what's with you? Where are you touching?

Article 225...

If anyone forges or fakes government related documents will receive up to ten years of prison sentence.

Isn't this reason enough?

We'll see. Let me discuss it with my lawyer first. What would be beneficial for me to say.

Ouch, this is going to several weeks of treatment.

Hey! I'm asking you! Why it had happened!

And why are you living that way? What are you looking for?

But what kind of person are you?

Hey, if you're so great at negotiating... instead of trying to con people with your tricks...

have you ever opened up your heart to the other person?

Have you ever shown your sincerity?

Have you ever told me your inner thoughts?

If not me, to anyone?

A robbery is reported at Segi Bank.

What do you mean confirm?

It seems like a crank call. But the guy was whistling on the other side while reporting the incident.

Whistling?

Let's go. Quickly.

Sergeant Jo, would you please tie him up before you go?

Wait, wait, wait.

You said you wanted to find out something. Let's go.

Let's go. I'll tell you everything.

Now, let's go. Go. Let's go.

Haven't determined the status at the scene?

A crisis negotiation team that was nearby is on the way.

The police has been dispatched.

I got a call like this before.

Don't you know how many crank calls we receive in a day? I was just going to let it pass, but...

Team Leader.

Hey, report to the superior and call the SWAT Team!

No, I'll call the special forces team.

Urgent dispatch. Please cooperate.

Ah, ah... the white car in the front, 6387, 6387. Please move.

Conducting government business.

The black car. 8008, move to the right.

When you're asking for cooperation at the scene,

If you ask generally for people to help you or to move, people don't move.

You have to say specifically to who or which car,

for them to know, "Oh, they're talking to me."

I didn't ask you.

You have to make an illegal left here.

The traffic signal at the four way street takes too long to change.

We really got here before the police.

Ah, hey!

The golden time for crisis negotiation is thirty minutes to one hour.

If you don't feel confident, should I do it for you?

Stay put for a second.

Crime scene wrap up, control the press, status report!

Think about it. What it is that must be done immediately.

Oh, yes... are you from the police station?

Let me borrow the keys for the handcuffs.

Excuse me.

He's a criminal, so please watch him carefully.

Do a good job talking to them. This is a huge case.

Didn't I tell you? I don't acknowledge you as a negotiator.

Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency

Hurry up and pack it up!

Nothing will happen as long you listen to what I say, got it?

Nothing will happen?

He's probably shaking inside.

I'm sure he's a first time criminal.

He came alone to a huge bank like this.

- Hey.- Y-Yes?

You take this.

I can't get into the personal accounts due to insurance issues, but the person in charge...

I don't know what you're saying!

Open whatever you can. Hurry!

Which bastard called the police?!

- It was you, wasn't it?- What?- You reported me, didn't you?

No, I-I-I didn't do it.

I don't care. I'll never die alone.

First time criminal?

Yes, the crime scene at this time is...

The citizens passing by, the reporters, and the police who arrived late...

It is chaotic.

The police isn't able to do anything noticeable just yet.

Just now, the close up of the criminal

video clip has been captured.

In order to give more efficient assistance to the police,

the Night News will accept information on the criminal

from the viewers.

Report your counterattack strategy!

Yes, well... first, let the criminal know that the negotiators have arrived

and let him know that we've seized the crime scene area.

Seize, whatever...

For now, drag it out until the SWAT Team arrives.

What? What are you looking for?

Where's my notepad?

Take the pictures!

What should I do? Should I contact the bank or not?

Hello?

I'm Lieutenant Yeo Myeong Ha from Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, crisis negotiation team.

Who is this I'm speaking to?

What are you? The police?

Yes, I'm with the police crisis negotiation team.

Is everybody safe inside?

Crisis what? I don't know what that is.

Call someone high up. A man.

If you tell me, I'll get it to the superiors...

I'll help you.

I'll...

just take what I want.

Don't touch me. That's all.

We have an important tip from the viewers.

Night News is breaking it to you exclusively.

We have the identity of the bank robber.

The suspect is Heo Tae Woong, 44 years old and unemployeed.

He lives in Deungchondong.

Currently, he can't repay his loans and has a bad credit.

Here is another important information.

Recently, Mr. Heo purchased online...

a model gun.

This means that the gun he is holding is

likely fake.

Good work, everyone. The SWAT Team will take over the status room.

- What?- Wait a minute.

We still need to negotiate with the criminal...

What negotiation with the guy holding a fake gun?

The Chief ordered us to subdue him.

Are you sure about that?

- What is it's not... - In case of an emergency...

I'll leave the negotiation channel open.

Deceive the suspect as though you're listening to him, then conduct the plan.

While the negotiators earn time, SWAT Team, get ready to enter swiftly.

The negotiator shouldn't just hear the story.

He must listen eagerly ready to empathize with the person.

Cooperation between the negotiator and the intelligence division team leader is essential.

Ah, yes. Thank you so much for such obvious words.

Yes, I understand.

Only if the crime scene turns out this way...

how nice would it be?

How much longer!

This!

Here.

- Is this right?- Yes.

Heo Tae Woong.

This is Team Leader Han Ji Won of the SWAT Team.

The bank is completely surrounded by the SWAT Team and the police.

Where is that woman from earlier? The woman who said she'd help me?

We gave you an opportunity, but since you refused to cooperate,

it's been turned over to our special forces team.

To give you a warning,

if any of the hostages get killed or injured

the SWAT Team will enter the premises immediately.

I also don't have any thought of hurting the hostages.

But in return, I do have a condition.

I'll release few of the hostages. Have a car ready at the entrance.

We'll need some time to get a car ready.

Thirty minutes.

Snipers, here's the status. Secure the premises and standby.

What's that noise?

I don't detect any movement from the suspect.

Entered the premises. Secured the way.

That's not it.

- What are you?- Pardon?

Now that I see you, you're a reporter, aren't you?

What were you doing with that?

- Nothing.- Give it to me.

Give it.

Don't move!

Don't move.

At the moment, the SWAT Team is at the front and back doors...

getting ready to enter the premises.

Hello?

Hello?

Don't run! Police!

Timing and subtitles

- Hey, what is it! - I've been shot.

Retreat! Retreat, punk!

Take it, take it! Take the shot!

Geez, look at this. What a mess, a mess...

Crime scene is like this.

Ugh, excuse me. What was that noise?

Weren't they gunshots?

My daughter is in that bank! Please save her!

Ah, please save her. Save her.

Please save her.

I'll take some time to say hello. But the incident that just broke out.

Allow me to go in.

What? The police will take care of it.

You're watching the news, right?

This must be the place.

But, is it okay?

For the Chief to not be at the site and just be eating here?

What? Where are you a reporter from?

Joo Seong Chan, how did you...?

I called the Chairman in a long while.

He's deeply concerned.

We will switch our strategy to kill as necessary.

Didn't you hear what the suspect said? The hostages will be in danger then.

- Then what can we do?- I will negotiate with him again. We have to first pull out the injured hostage and...

You will face him? The crazy robber who's got a loaded gun?

After seeing what happened to Team Leader Oh a year ago, you still don't know?

There are situations when negotiating works and times when it doesn't.

You were arguing like this a year ago, too.

Even if you don't want to admit it, that negotiation didn't fail.

- What?!- Now, now, let's calm down.

Let's rotate athletes.

- What is he?- You...

Get out! Get out right now!

Hold on. The suspect has already lost all credibility in this special forces officer so

even though it's lacking in so many ways, we need to shift our focus to the one who has built a rapport with him.

A civilian comes in and dares to offer up advice. This is great!

And who should be responsible for this? The answer is in the commanding officer. No.

The commander is missing from the battlefield so how can we expect anything to go right?

Get out. Get out!

Do as he says.

Now, from now, we will realign our commanding structure under the Chief and we will restart our negotiations.

First of all, we will reorganize the scene. Except for those needed for negotiations, everyone, please leave.

Push all the civilians back behind the police line.

It's a little too late but from now on, secure confidentiality on what can be released to the media.

The reporters won't leave this alone.

We only need to provide them with contents. We can just brief them in 30 minutes.

But if they still make a fuss, tell them to file a formal complaint through the public affairs department.

Hey.

What? What is it?

"The negotiator must focus only on the crisis." That's what is written on the notebook.

Ah, the notebook...

I'll be behind you so just focus on the one in crisis.

Yes. But why are you not doing it yourself and turning over to me?

The suspect probably already feels overwhelmed. It will be worse with a new face.

How do you know that?

What do we do now?

Be quiet! Don't move a muscle and stay still.

This is Yeo Myeong Ha with the negotiations team.

In order to speak with you,

I'm sending a phone in. Don't be alarmed.

Do I look like an idiot to you? Are you kidding?!

I'm sorry. I apologize for the behavior of the special forces team.

What is this? Why did you turn out the lights? Do you want to see everyone die?!

It's the truth. But it might take some time.

I told you I'd give you an hour. There isn't much time left.

I got it!

In any case, bring it as quickly as you can.

Because it's all give and take.

I'm sorry, but Heo Tae Yong, you're going to have to help, too.

It's because I'm worried.

He might need to be treated by a hospital. Could you send him out?

I didn't shoot him, you guys did that!

Of course. I know that. It isn't your responsibility,

and I believe that you aren't someone who would prevent an injured person from being treated.

Shut up!

What do you know about me?

Yes, that...

Weren't you only planning to take what you had wanted?

I'm going to do my best to help you do that.

He is sending one hostage out.

Satisfied? I don't lie.

As expected, you aren't someone who would harm a person.

But how is it that you came to do this?

Eh?

Do you perhaps need anything?

Like water, or even a cigarette?

May I smoke a cigarette?

Now we're getting somewhere.

Wow, at this rate she'll become best friends with the suspect.

Even sharing a cigarette.

Don't give him the whole pack, just give him one cigarette.

You did well up to now. Don't mess it up at the end.

I'm sorry. I guess I misunderstood you.

Although our methods were slightly different, we were ultimately going the same direction.

I told you to focus, didn't I?

Tae Yong, can I come in?

What? What about the cigarette?

You said you smoked menthol, here.

Actually, I didn't want to do this.

Things got out of hand.

Do you have a plan?

Is there anything that's troubling you?

That...

I'll be the only one to hear it.

Stop it!

No!

I know, right?

The flute. The one who played the flute.

This concludes the nightly news.

Do you know the story about the man who played the flute?

I'm saying that the one I'm chasing is that person.

-Do we negotiate or not?-I'll try.

Is there a reporter that would go into the fire?

There's an expert over there.

I'll go in myself.

I can't take responsibility for your safety.

Is that how you make news?

Are you crazy?! I told you to come out!

I'm sorry, Mom! I'm sorry, Mom!
