Original subtitles

I am Ghost Agent K.

A shadow without a name or reputation.

My duty is a nameless battle to protect

freedom and order.

You will soon be abducted.

So it was you.

Ghost K.

Just accept your punishment.

Are you saying everything he said and did

was a disguise and a lie?

Was Do-ha really abducted?

Who the hell are you?

Are your legs okay?

Can you walk? Should I carry you? Come on.

No, it's okay. I'm fine.

Take care of Do-ha.

Okay.

- Thank you. - Why are you thanking me?

Let go!

The ambulance is here.

Both of you should go to the hospital.

Okay.

Okay.

So, during this upcoming election,

let's not worry about funding or positions.

Get the police and everyone involved...

What, you asshole?

If you took my money, you should get me results!

What is the matter?

Find out for yourself.

I hope it will be the world in which the person spending the money

will feel rewarded.

If you'll excuse me.

- Are you okay? - Yes.

Here.

Please check your belongings.

So, how do you feel?

I'm bruised, scratched and cut up. I will be aching all over in the morning.

It is almost the same as if I had shot an action scene, so I'm fine.

I'm glad you are not seriously injured.

Also, here. Please sign this.

Come on now. Do you really want an autograph?

- What's this? - It's a confidentiality agreement.

Today's events are related to national security,

so it is top secret and may not be disclosed to outsiders.

If it is of national security, as a citizen, of course...

- I can't sign it. - I can't sign it. Why not?

I need to hear it from Seol-woo directly.

I'll sign it after.

That will be a problem.

Why?

Where is he?

Isn't he being treated at the hospital?

It's classified.

At least, let her see him and talk to him.

Or should I call the reporters here and tell them what happened?

CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT

I will let you two speak.

Get her to sign it.

How is your wound?

Why are you here instead of going to a hospital?

It's a flesh wound. I'm fine.

You were bleeding a lot.

I got treated.

I was terrified today.

No one will tell me why this happened.

I'm sorry

for making you go through this.

It isn't...

Don't apologize, but explain to me.

Explain what happened to me today and everything I didn't know about.

Also,

about who you really are.

I will sign the confidentiality agreement after we talk,

so please help me understand.

Are you really

a secret agent with the NIS?

Yes.

Being a bodyguard was a disguise,

and I had been carrying out a mission.

Goodness.

"A disguise."

Carrying out...

a mission"?

I can't tell you the details.

However, one thing is certain.

The mission has been aborted,

and I will leave.

You are leaving?

Then are you saying every moment you shared with me

was a lie and a disguise?

I must lie often,

and my days are filled with death and violence.

You are the most dangerous person to me.

Please sign this.

CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT

Just a minute.

Today was a very difficult day

for both you and for me.

I'll keep your secret, so don't worry.

Let's talk again tomorrow,

calmly with a clear head.

You should get some rest.

Do-ha Cha.

So, did you have a good talk with Guard Kim?

We're going to talk again tomorrow.

Really? Tomorrow?

Too much happened today.

He's hurt, so he needs to rest.

That's true.

Good thinking.

Un-gwang.

Thank you so much for today.

Thank you for being safe.

Guard Kim.

When this is over, what will you do about Do-ha?

I will disappear.

Thank you, brother.

Keep your promise.

I will.

Thanks to you running amok everywhere, everything is a complete mess.

Mr. Jang is being investigated by the IA,

and the NIS now knows about your cover.

The bodyguard assignment was finished anyway.

The civilians are safe, the ring and wood carving are unharmed.

We caught the enemy's Ghost.

So? Are you saying you did the right thing?

This isn't so bad for a mess.

Is everything okay with Do-ha?

I got her to sign the agreement.

You weren't yourself today. You acted strangely.

You write the report as you wish.

I deleted your resignation.

I will begin the Black Auction mission tomorrow.

This mission is worth 5 million dollars. You know that right?

The first floor was exposed, so take care of it for me.

Do-ha.

What happened to you? I couldn't reach you all day.

Some things happened.

Is something wrong between you and Seol-woo?

Tell me.

I will scold that punk!

Dad.

About that ring...

Ring?

Yes!

Yes, the ring! Did you bring it? Where is it?

Anyway, the prosecutor took it,

so just forget it, okay?

Hey. Wait.

Do you know how much that's worth? How can I forget it?

We need that so that I can buy you an apartment building as a wedding...

It is not even yours!

Do you even know how dangerous it is?

I don't need an apartment,

so please stop it already!

Being a bodyguard was a disguise

and I had been carrying out a mission.

You looked pretty.

I am your head of security as of today.

Then are you saying every moment you shared with me

was a lie and a disguise?

Something bad. Please ignore it.

You looked cold.

This is our first day as a couple.

My days are filled with death and violence.

You are the most dangerous person to me.

One thing is certain.

The mission has been aborted,

and I will leave.

What's going on?

Pick up now.

You still have something to tell me.

Did you really leave like this?

If you lied to me, you should apologize.

If you saved my life,

you should let me thank you.

Did you really leave?

Here.

- Here? - No, to the left.

- Here? - Hey.

- Here? - In the middle. That's it.

It hurts. Goodness.

- Whom did you fight with? - I slept in the wrong position.

No, you didn't. You were hit.

Who hit you like this?

Why? So you can compliment him and take him out?

- Hi, Un-gwang. - Hi, Un-gwang.

- What happened to your face? - Did you get into a fight?

It's nothing.

Everyone is here, so let's go.

- Goodness. - Guard Kim isn't here.

Yes.

Guard Kim...

He quit.

- Goodness. - What?

Because...

I...

I don't know how...

Was he beat up badly?

- That must be it. - He must've been hit hard.

What is with your reactions?

I knew this day would come.

Guard Kim must be really pissed off.

He must fight really well.

We'll pretend we don't know anything. We won't tell anyone.

I told you, it wasn't Guard Kim!

What happened was, I...

I did this and that, and rolled...

He must have been hit a lot.

- Definitely. - I really...

He's just embarrassed.

I'll put up with it because I'm a patriot.

The truth is lonely and the loneliness is bitter.

Where are you going?

Hey.

Wait for me.

I have missed you, K.

It's been a while.

K began the second wood carving mission.

His bodyguard cover is blown, so tell him to be careful.

I'm sure the Baek Infantry will be at the Black Auction.

He'll take care of it. Don't worry.

I'm saying this because K isn't being himself.

I think he's back to normal now.

What about you?

Are you okay?

I'm still being investigated, but they have no evidence.

Did you get anything from Ki-chul Seo?

No.

He has not opened his mouth at all, as expected.

My name is Sung-joong Yoon. I'm your attorney.

I'm here to relay Mr. Mo's message.

"Take responsibility for your failure."

Also, this is my advice as your attorney.

If you want to live, keep your mouth shut.

Okay, then.

I don't need a hunting dog that can't hunt.

Still, if you throw him away like that, he may turn around and bite his master.

- So? - A useless hunting dog

should be put in a pot and boiled.

You're so cruel.

I will prepare for the repercussions, so don't worry.

Also, I will choose someone to replace Mr. Seo...

Taking care of it quietly won't work.

I will have to do what my grandfather used to do.

Then Songsan will be damaged pretty badly.

You will have to become the mayor and president and restore it for us.

Sure, that's a given.

Connect me to the VIP.

"Say it again. This is your last chance."

Why did Guard Kim quit...

Did he really hit you?

Seriously? I said no.

They keep spreading weird rumors, people are going to believe it's true!

You know my skills.

If Guard Kim and I really got into a fight,

imagine how he would be.

He would be relieved and super happy with himself.

- Why you... - Just kidding.

Just kidding. Come now.

But Guard Kim didn't quit because of Songsan, did he?

What about Songsan?

There is a rumor going around that Songsan has it in for us.

That's how Mr. Mo wants to play, is that it?

It won't be easy to find an investor for our movie.

We will have to consider the worst-case scenario.

Will you drop the movie?

No! I'm not saying drop it. Maybe push it back a little.

You got an offer for a great comedic action movie.

Should we do that first?

Stop being stupid.

This movie will be made.

It will be premiered and it will be a success.

I can provide the production fee myself.

- So don't be scared and push onward. - Really?

After you ask everyone else and can't find anyone.

It's time to go and get fitted.

Why are you here? I told you to take the day off.

THE 12TH ASIA INVESTMENT FORUM

LIST OF INVESTMENT FORUM PARTICIPANT

THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA PASSPORT

Our chairman became handsome.

Did you meet Guard Kim?

I will kill him.

- What? - I will kill that bastard.

- What did he say? - He didn't say anything.

He left.

All he had to do was apologize.

How could he disappear without saying a word?

If I ever see him on the street, I will shoot him.

- Un-gwang. - Yes?

Buy me a gun.

Don't you want a glass?

Here are the documents on the Hungarian mines as promised.

The real chairman will arrive tomorrow.

Later.

He is coming tomorrow.

I'm free today.

Do you want a tour guide?

Stop being such a jerk.

You're so handsome and romantic.

If romance is what you wanted,

you should have asked for it as a term of the deal.

Just for 10 minutes...

They dated after they finished filming the movie.

They were probably in love while filming that scene, right?

Goodness.

They are just acting.

They broke up once they began their next movie.

Even if they are acting,

the eyes don't lie.

What can't an actor do while acting?

I love you.

I mean it.

You really can lie with your eyes.

You're a gifted actor.

That goes without saying.

Un-gwang Yeo's acting is incredible, no matter how much you see it.

Let's watch an action movie.

Love stories aren't fun.

What are you doing? Seriously.

I see. You're aggressive today.

Hey. Do you want to play?

Did you get the Black Auction invitation?

Yes. Over there.

The account information for sending the auction participation fee is in here?

Yes. Minimum 5 million dollars.

Hey. Mr. Jang is doing

all he can to gather special activities funding.

You have to be especially good with this mission.

You may be a Ghost agent,

but you're the first level six agent to receive many funds.

I'll back you up right.

Back me up?

What, do you think I will take the money and run?

Yes, naturally.

If you're thinking of running off with that money, let me know first.

- Why? - I can't fight as well as you.

If I can't stop you, I should split it with you.

Congressman In-soo Baek of the Daehan Party

has taken the lead in ratings for the next Seoul Mayoral Election with 35%,

which is 2% higher than Congressman Young-hwan Choi.

This punk disconnected his cell phone.

What the hell?

Song-yi.

I think.

Do-ha and Seol-woo are having problems.

He even changed his phone number.

Do you know anything?

She was tossing and turning all night, so something is up, but she won't say.

I'm sure something is wrong between the two of them.

That punk.

I'm sure he looks down on me for working at a place like this.

His ratings passed 30% there, and in Seocho and Gangnam...

Forget it. I can't just sit here.

Where are you going? It's almost the lunch rush.

It's election season.

If I align myself right, I'll hit the jackpot.

Wait. Mr. Cha.

In-soo Baek!

A clean Korea with In-soo Baek!

In-soo Baek!

Congressman. I mean, Mayor. Hello, I'm a Seoul resident and voter.

I see. Thank you.

Here.

My name is Myung-suk Cha. I met you when I worked with Mr. Yoon.

A gallery. Robert Yoon?

I'm Goldfinger.

If you need someone to run your errands in Mr. Yoon's place, give me a call.

Okay. I'll be in touch soon. Have a nice day.

In-soo Baek!

We need to terminate our deal.

We won't need to contact each other anymore, so I'm returning this.

If this is about Jae-young, I understand.

But hold onto it, just in case.

No. I should get rid of everything.

You people can neither protect my child nor me.

The mission is still in progress.

If you mess with my husband again, I'll take his side from now on.

I'll bury all the deals we've made so far. You should bury my secret as well.

I heard you stopped your lessons with Eun-soo too.

Are you really pulling out of everything related to Un-gwang?

I'm going to stop everything now.

I've ended it with Mr. Jang too, so we won't be meeting here anymore.

You made the right decision.

Mr. Jang is a nice man.

I'll make sure things don't get awkward because of me.

Good afternoon, Sharon. I'm only ten minutes late...

Hi, Un-gwang.

- I'll let you get to work. - Okay. Bye.

Let me ask you one thing.

I heard Songsan is pressuring investors not to invest in our movie.

Does Mr. Mo have nothing else to do, or is he petty?

Is that your excuse for not being able to get investors?

Think as you like.

Ever since his attorney came by,

he has been sitting like that and staring into the camera.

But something is odd.

Especially how he's tapping his finger.

PROSECUTION SERVICE

I can't figure out the pattern. It isn't Morse Code.

What is it?

Can you decipher it?

What is it?

It's a code among Ghosts.

It's a GPS coordinate.

This looks like somewhere in Gyeonggi.

I'll look into it.

Is Mi-eun having problems with her husband?

No way. They are the most envied couple in the country.

Not their appearance, but for real.

I'm sure Mr. Ji told you about our meeting with her and her husband.

It felt odd.

- That was... - Mi-eun

is not happy.

It isn't because of me, is it?

Get over yourself.

Any problems they have are between the two of them.

Whether they are happy or miserable, it isn't your concern.

Hey, Guard Kim.

Let's have some chicken and beer.

Hey, I know you're there. Open up.

Let's have some beer. Come on.

Will you open up while it's just me,

or do you want me to tell everyone and hold a meeting here...

That's more like it.

I had this thought last time too,

but should I build a room like this too?

My house is way too open.

I need my alone time once in a while too.

What brings you here?

I told you to have a drink. I've missed you.

So, how much does an NIS agent make?

Even if they pay more for the danger factor,

it's still a government job.

I'll pay you exactly double of that.

Why don't you come back to being Guard Kim? Come on.

My undercover assignment is over, and there is no Guard Kim.

Thank you for keeping your promise.

You're not my bodyguard anymore, so just call me by my name.

Come, let's drink.

Here.

Brother.

Was it really all just a disguise

and a mission?

- Yes. - Were there really

no feelings whatsoever?

Remember when we ran across the bridge holding hands?

Remember when we were hit with the EMP blast together in Russia?

We have so many memories together.

There were no feelings whatsoever.

You're cold.

Fine.

I understand how you feel.

Then, what about Do-ha?

Did you just use her?

Yes.

You're talented.

It was the first mission in which I made a mistake.

I was very angry...

when I found out she was abducted.

He really changed his number and moved?

It's all over.

I'm moving on too.

What is it?

His picture.

They are all gone.

His pictures are missing?

Did he mess with your phone?

He erased all trace of him and left.

What an asshole. Was that necessary?

It's okay now.

Regardless,

I don't want someone who disappears without a word.

I'll just forget him.

My poor friend will be in pain for a while.

I should be better by the time the seasons change,

since I have you...

and Un-gwang.

That's right.

You know that Do-ha may appear tough, but she's sensitive and frail inside.

It will be tough for her for a while.

But even if you are worried, don't worry about her.

I'll always be by her side.

Don't be too sad, okay?

Of course, I'm always by your side...

I'm fine.

Don't say things you don't mean.

I know that you can't stop thinking about me either.

Please,

do not come here again.

I didn't come here for you.

I came for me.

You became my bodyguard through your connections with Mi-eun, right?

How is she related with NIS?

Regardless of which side she chose, Mi-eun would have regretted

and not regretted it at the same time.

Un-gwang and her husband are both important to her.

They may be different, but both are in love.

She loves both men.

That could mean she loves neither of them.

Mi-eun is miserable because she made the wrong choice.

DONG-HYUN

Don't answer that.

Sorry, but it's an urgent call.

- Did you confirm? - It appears to be Agent Yoon.

The body is badly decayed, so we need to have it tested

to identify the body for sure, but the age and height match,

and based on the ID that we found on the body,

I think it's Agent Yoon.

Wouldn't Songsan and Congressman Baek try to cover it up?

I called the reporters here.

They won't be able to bury it easily if it's all over the news.

A decomposed body was found in a mountain in Gyeonggi.

The prosecutor states the body was confirmed to be Robert Yoon,

who disappeared while being investigated for laundering money

for Songsan's slush fund through art deals and suspects foul play.

The hunting dog bit its master. I should've boiled it as you suggested.

Don't worry.

I'll take care of it before it can harm Songsan.

How?

A murder case will be closed once they catch the murderer.

I have someone perfect in mind.

Is Myung-suk Cha here?

Yes. I'm Myung-suk Cha.

Did Congressman Baek send you?

We're with the police.

You are arrested for the murder of Robert Yoon.

- What? - What? Mr. Cha.

What's this? Hey.

- What do you mean? Hold on. - What are you doing?

Hold on.

What's going on?

Do-ha.

What?

What did you say?

Stop denying it.

I really don't know.

I suddenly couldn't reach Mr. Yoon.

You killed him because you wanted his money.

I did not. I swear I did not.

We have you on camera searching his shop.

It's true I went there, but it wasn't me!

How dare you play dumb? The circumstances,

evidence and motive are all pointing to you.

It makes no sense that Myung-suk Cha killed Agent Yoon.

Something stinks,

but if you look at the police investigation report,

it looks legit.

- What about Ki-chul Seo? - He clammed up again.

No finger-tapping, either.

I'll come now.

Hello? Dong-hyun Lee speaking.

This is Do-ha Cha.

I mean it.

My dad may con people,

but he would never kill anyone.

It's an ongoing investigation, so...

It has to do with the abduction, doesn't it?

It's because of that ring my dad left with me, isn't it?

What is that ring anyway?

It's of national security, so I cannot give you any details.

What kind of national security requires framing someone of murder?

Please tell us the truth.

Please? I need to know the truth.

I'm here.

Please trust us and be patient.

Why do you think he told us the location of Agent Yoon's body?

It's probably his silent rebellion, saying he won't die alone.

The only way to clear Myung-suk Cha's name is if that punk talks.

He must have had a reason for using a Ghost code to call me out.

Turn off the camera for me.

INTERROGATION IN PROCESS

Seeing how you're here yourself,

the camera must have been turned off.

You found Agent Yoon's body, right?

I saw an innocent man was framed for the murder.

But then again,

I'm sure Congressman Baek had that much prepared.

What did you want to say to me?

I have what you want.

Evidence on Robert Yoon's real killer.

What do you want?

I want a certain somebody's death.

It was an honor to have the attorney general join us.

I enjoyed our talk.

My coffer is empty now.

It says in the Bible or in Buddhism or somewhere,

that you must be emptied in order to be filled.

Hi. What is it?

Okay. Got it.

It's going well.

Let's begin phase two then.

- Hi. - Sir.

The special activities account has been frozen.

What?

What do you mean?

Mr. Tae-ho Jang.

You have been dismissed as of this moment.

Please turn in your ID and weapon, and vacate your office.

Mr. Dong-hyun Lee.

You are under arrest for corruption and abuse of authority.

It has been a while.

What's the situation?

Bad enough that I must meet with you myself.

Was Agent Lee had, too?

They attacked all at once, so we can't fix it right now.

It looks like Songsan stepped in.

After tomorrow, the Black Auction ring will be useless.

We'll need a new plan.

If they get the second wood carving, wouldn't the mission fail?

If the wood carving mission fails, what about Agent Lee and Myung-suk Cha?

Will you abandon them?

I'm saying we should wait because we can't do anything right now.

The situation is bad.

We must cease the mission for now.

As in, you have no plan right now.

What are you going to...

What do you plan to do alone...

Goodness.

Do you know someone named Tae-ho Jang?

I hear he's digging into Songsan.

How do you know that name?

He's Sharon's new man. I heard from her.

She said he is smart, competent, skilled and he's in the NIS.

Mr. Jang and Sharon are dating?

He is so stubborn and is such a prude, that he wants to take on Songsan,

but he is completely smitten by Sharon.

Is he?

It was in May of 2011.

A convenience store worker...

A convenience store worker misread the expiration date and stole some food.

You have a good memory.

Look, what does any of this have to do with corruption and abuse of authority?

Are you saying the convenience store worker bribed me or something?

I just do what I'm told to do from above.

Who is it?

Who had me arrested for these absurd charges?

AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY

This is Ki-chul.

Please give me one last chance.

What can you do?

I'll eliminate Ghost Agent K

and bring you the wood carving.

Mr. Jang?

May we speak?

I'll get you the best lawyers from a top law firm, so don't worry.

The ring, the abduction and the false charge of murder.

They are all related to NIS.

Do you think we can win in court?

The prosecutor, Mr. Lee said he would look into it, so...

He isn't answering his phone.

What?

He said he would get right back to us, but he won't answer his phone?

The police, prosecutor, NIS...

I don't know who to trust and talk to anymore.

Where are the other agents? Why are you alone?

NIS agents can't be trusted.

Then, that leaves us only one person.

He's with NIS himself, but he said NIS can't be trusted, is that it?

It looked like there was a problem.

Are you saying he still lives here?

I didn't tell you,

in case it would complicate things.

What?

It's true.

I'll talk to him first...

Do-ha.

Do you still live here?

You disappeared without a word, so I didn't even get to thank you.

Thank you for saving me when I was abducted.

I just did my job...

I absolutely cannot forgive you for lying to me.

Hi, dumbhead.

It has been a while.

Congressman. What brings you here?

I came to save you, punk.

No, I doubt that.

I smell something shady. I'm sure you're here to dupe me.

You're the one duping people.

Whom are you with?

Are you with NIS or are you a prosecutor?

Just pick one. Don't make your life so difficult.

Whether I'm with NIS or a prosecutor,

why does the process matter?

As long as I catch bad people like you, I've fulfilled my duty.

Stop being an ass.

Hand over the wood carving and stay away from NIS.

I refuse to.

Do you need to lose your job for you to learn your lesson?

People don't change that easily.

You have no intention of repenting and turning yourself in either.

Idiot.

My grandfather conducted business and politics over food.

Whenever someone shared a meal with him, they ended up with a car or a house.

That's called collusion and corruption.

That's why I want to be different from my grandfather.

Seeing how poorly Songsan is performing financially,

you're already very different from Chairman Mo.

You have spirit.

I like it.

If you bring me the wood carving, I'll make you the director of NIS.

What do you say? Why don't you take my hand?

I don't want to take your hand unless it's to handcuff you.

You need the power to pursue justice.

Justice that doesn't abide by the rules is assault.

Money is the rule and power is the justice.

Don't you know that yet?

Or are you pretending not to?

Do you think the world will move as you want?

Do you want to make a bet?

Finish eating.

I'm not a fan of these foods.

That's right.

Sharon Kim.

You have cheap taste in food, but high standards in women.

I wonder if you can handle her.

You know she's my wife's best friend, don't you?

Let's have wine sometime.

You heard about Do-ha's dad, right?

We can't reach the prosecutor Dong-hyun Lee either.

Please give us some more time, and...

How can I trust you?

Is there a way?

Let me know if I can help in any way.

If it's for the country and for Do-ha, I'll do anything.

We overcame death together.

I can do martial arts, brother.

There is one way in which you can help.

I need money to carry out the plan. In US dollars.

I need five million dollars.

Five...

Do you really need 5 million dollars?

Five million dollars is not chump change!

I feel like Guard Kim is scamming him out of his money.

Wait a second.

I will protect you at all times and stick close to you all day.

Get me a wood carving.

Is there more to the plan?

Our cover will be "lovers tactic."

Let's do it.

The Black Auction mission will be carried out as planned.

Hurry up and press it.

My five million dollars!
