I have the best idea of what to do for my mom.

For her birthday, I found the owner of

My mom has got to be

the most sentimental person on the planet.

So about ten months

before my mom's birthday, I started

to think, what would be her dream birthday?

And the only thing that came to mind

was the house that we grew up in.

It just meant the world to her.

So we're gonna have la scala

cater it, which was my parents' favorite restaurant.

And then we're gonna rent all of

our old cars that we had from our childhood,

and they always had really fun license plates

that said, like, "2 die for."

and I'm gonna have those all made up

as replicas and put them on the exact cars.

All of us are so busy and have such crazy lives

that it's fun to take that minute

to just celebrate each other when we can.

We had, like, the white rolls-royce

and the black rolls-royce and the station wagon.

If I just got, like, their station wag--

if I got the cars, and put 'em in the driveway...

You're gonna recreate the '80s.

I'm gonna recreate the whole scene.

-We have to make a list. -I'm excited. Selfishly,

I'm very excited, 'cause I just want to

go there and see it, 'cause that was our childhood.

-Yeah. Yeah. -And I feel like that is your mom--

out of all the homes that your mom has ever had,

that is your mom's favorite house.

That master bedroom, the master bathroom,

like, all of it-- that was, like, her favorite house.

Oh, do you remember the wallpaper in the kitchen?

I would find that and make the cushions for the chairs

that we sit outside, and umbrella all in that.

Recently, I decided to start the process of freezing my eggs.

I realize there's nothing wrong

with having this insurance policy.

So eight and six make 14,

so it's in that range that we like to see.

Khloe: The doctor is really happy

with the amount of follicles that I have at the moment,

so this is gonna be the perfect month

to start hormone injections, and hopefully, those will help

my follicles grow to a healthy, mature size.

-If I have 15 or whatever... -Correct.

Then you see if they're strong before we freeze them?

-We will only freeze the mature ones. -Okay.

So once the eggs are out, then we'll be able to see,

"ha. This one's mature, this one's mature,

this one's not quite mature."

-and then we'll freeze all the mature ones. -Okay.

Even when we freeze the mature ones,

we don't know which one will be good.

That takes putting it with sperm, creating the embryos.

Then we can test the embryos, okay?

And that's a big difference between freezing the eggs

-and freezing embryos, okay? -Mm-hmm.

-So... -But you can split it, right?

-We can split it, yup. -Okay.

Definitely if you want to take some of those eggs

and freeze those and count some as embryos

and freeze those, that's great.

Khloe: I might be able to freeze

25 eggs. Doesn't mean any of them are healthy.

The only way of having the knowledge

if you have a strong embryo is if you mix

egg and sperm together.

And if you're gonna go through this process,

you want to go through it with the best guarantee

that it's gonna be a success at the end of the day.

What if you're 40 and you want

to thaw your eggs, create embryos,

and they tell you, "uh, all your eggs are bad."

and you're like, "I'm 40.

Can I even make embryos at this point?"

it's like a tug-of-war.

I don't really know what to do.

but the evidence that put him behind bars

is now in question.

Kim: My team of attorneys

has been reaching out to so many different people

that are in a position of power in the state of texas

that really can have an influence

over rodney and his case.

But, so far, rodney is still scheduled to be executed

in just a few days.

I was able to get clearance

to visit rodney through my attorney.

And I have never...

Experienced anything like this,

where someone is days away from execution.

So I just want to make sure

that I just lend my support in any way that I can.

I just landed in houston, and I'm on my way

to go meet with rodney.

I know, right?

He has to already know, right?

because his attorney is waiting for us.

He hasn't gone in yet.

I had a lot of fun celebrating corey's birthday

and being with my family,

but now it's time to get back to work.

When I landed, we find out

that the board of paroles and pardons

recommended that the governor

stay rodney's execution for 120 days.

The governor would still have to sign that,

so now it's waiting to find out what the governor will do.

-Um, four solid, but then up to ten. -Okay.

Khloe: So, I had my final doctor's appointment,

and he said that everything was good to go.

So today, I'm gonna get this egg retrieval surgery done.

After talking to my sisters,

I decided that the eggs he does retrieve today,

I'm gonna freeze.

And if I want, I can still dethaw them

and put them with sperm.

But I want to see how many eggs I have

before I make that decision.

Hopefully, I can retrieve a bunch of eggs.

Right now, tristan and I,

we're in this strange transitional period

where we're figuring out boundaries,

and it's just not the right time.

But who knows?

Maybe that could change one day.

(muttering)

-kim: Hi. -Hi. Tell me everything.

When we were in there, the warden knocked on the door

and pulled his attorney out.

And then they told him that the courts ruled

they would grant their motion of his stay of execution,

which is, like, unheard of.

Khloe: Wow.

The courts have issued

an indefinite stay of execution.

They will then move the decision

of what's gonna happen with rodney's case

to the lower appeals court,

and then it'll either mean

that they'll entirely throw out the case

or they'll issue him a new trial.

Either one is great news.

So, it was really emotional.

I think that was, like, the first time

he was just, like, kind of, like, quiet for a minute.

I-I... He got, like, a little teary.

Khloe: Well, you're doing a great thing.

Just hope the best for this.

Um, so I just got a phone call from dr. Huang.

And, you know, I was freezing my eggs, and

when I got out of the surgery, they said I had five,

and then the other seven or so,

they were hoping would mature,

and I just got word that actually all of them matured,

so I have a total of 12 eggs.

Wow, good.

The whole egg retrieval process

was really not as bad as I thought it was gonna be.

Dr. Huang retrieved 12 eggs,

but he is very confident about five.

The other seven

are the ones that matured the slowest.

So, what dr. Huang said:

The first five that matured naturally on their own--

those, he thinks, have, like, the greatest chance of survival

and are probably the strongest.

Not to say the other, the other ones are not.

-Yeah, for sure. -So, I am, um...

Thinking about doing a second round of egg retrieval

but this time making embryos.

I'm open to doing that and down to doing that

and, you know...

End of the day, I want you to feel...

Whatever's gonna make you feel comfortable

and also feel, you know, safest and everything like that--

You know, I have no idea what my future holds

for tristan and I, but I really think I will feel a lot better

knowing, "okay, I have five embryos in a freezer.

If I want to use them, I have them there."

I'm in such a blessed position

and I just got to look at the positive.

I'm grateful for it.

It... Isn't ideal that I have to go through

all those hormones and stuff again,

but I feel like I handled it well last time.

I do want you to know, you might be uncomfortable,

you don't really show it, so I tip my hat to you on that,

but, you know, I'm all on board, so however I can help.
