(Episode 37)

Ji Hoon thinks...

that his biological mother abandoned him.

Chairman Han also thought so as well.

It wasn't until later...

that we found out your father has taken away Ji Hoon from my mom.

After her baby was taken away from my mom,

she jumped into this water.

I and my dad found her here...

and saved her.

So,

this place was...

Mom raised...

me instead...

of Ji Hoon.

If Ji Hoon finds out all about this...

He'll fall out with Chairman Han.

But we can't keep this secret forever to Ji Hoon.

Ji Hoon won't...

be able to handle it.

He won't accept that he is...

Mom's son like me.

I need to know what it is...

so I can do something about it.

What is it that he's doubtful about us?

That's enough, Aunt.

Don't interrupt me.

There's something you can't tell me, isn't there?

Stop it already. Dad shouldn't be blamed for anything.

You have no right to say that when you've made this mess!

I've made myself clear.

If I figure out...

anything that you haven't told me about Eun Dong and Ji Hoon,

I won't be watching your back.

So you better be ready when the chairman makes a move.

All right.

You...

need to delete the borrowed account where I sent you the money.

Chairman Han can never find about it.

I told you to stay hidden no matter how.

Until I call you again,

you have to lie hidden.

What did you say?

Cha Eun Dong is who?

She's the daughter of the man...

who found Ji Hoon when he went missing.

Who?

Are you talking about that janitor who died in our hospital?

Yes.

Why would he...

save Ji Hoon, for what?

Haven't you really heard?

That's why Chairman Han hired him as a janitor.

My goodness.

Why? Is it true?

And he ended up dead because you fired him.

What did I do?

He killed himself.

You fired him wrongfully.

You even caused trouble with the hospital's labor union.

So are you blaming me?

Jun Kyung.

Eun Dong beat the crap out of me then.

Eun Dong is notorious for being a bully in school.

Crush her.

Hey.

- Come on. - Kneel.

I said kneel!

- Are you deaf or something? - I told you to kneel down.

Please forgive my daughter this once.

No mother can stay put when her daughter is beaten.

That's why Tae In has been sided with Eun Dong.

So don't take him as your son-in-law.

I knew you were ignorant but can't you really grasp this situation?

That incident eventually killed a person.

If someone determines to dig up, not just my family...

and the hospital, but this whole family will be finished.

What do you think...

will happen when you marry Seo Ju now?

- If Mrs. Choi finds out... - I don't care if I suffer...

but she won't leave my mom alone.

Ji Hoon.

I know...

you are hiding something from me.

What is it?

Tell me.

Why would Ji Hoon look for Director Kang?

I have no idea.

I don't even understand...

why I told him that place.

Soon my husband will be back.

- Hello, sir. - Hello, sir.

What brings you here, Chairman Han?

Well, it's just that...

I couldn't reach Director Kang.

I was wondering what happened to him.

I see.

We're also trying to reach him but he won't pick up.

It's not like him.

Do you have any idea why he'd go missing?

How did you know I was here?

Your mother told me.

But come to think of it, your mother's very strange.

I was wondering what Mom was talking about.

What is the reason that she has to meet me and Dad separately?

I was also there.

It wasn't just that day.

She made food for me.

She was even about to cry when she asked me to get along with you.

So?

- What's so wrong about that? - Are you serious?

No one would see that as normal.

She hates to be our family yet she's so kind to me.

I don't understand why she'd meet my dad behind everyone's back.

If you couldn't understand, you should've felt it with your hunch!

Don't talk recklessly about my mom...

unless if you want to regret laterwards.

I don't intend to talk recklessly about someone else's parent.

- She just acts way too out of... - That's enough!

You should stop.

Please.

Ji Hoon.

Get ready. We're going home.

I'll go later.

I still have things to talk with him.

You should go first.

There could be another rumor if you stay...

I can take care of myself.

Don't worry about me.

I'll see you when I get there.

Help Jun Hyuk's return.

Why would I?

If you help,

I'll prove Tae In's scandal that Jun Hyuk broke was...

actually true.

Go to that address.

It's where Tae In proposed to me.

What are you doing?

Just take a visit.

And see who is with Tae In at that place.

You should go.

I don't think...

Chairman Han knows.

He doesn't seem to know...

that the order of heart transplant surgery was changed...

with your father.

Chairman Han took me with him...

when he scolded Jun Hyuk.

He said he'll make Jun Hyuk regret if there's something he's hiding.

If he was on Jun Hyuk's side,

he wouldn't have taken that disciplinary action.

Then...

Chairman Han had no idea.

So it was Jun Hyuk and Hye Won...

Chairman Choi would've known it.

Or he could've participated.

Although they knew my dad would die.

You have to call off...

your marriage with Seo Ju.

You shouldn't marry her.

What are you doing there?

How did you know about this place?

What do you think you are doing here?

Chairman Han has...

Answer my question.

What are you doing here with Tae In?

Chairman Han sent me here to get him.

You need to stop.

I have no reason to get hit.

Do we look like some joke to you?

- You're just a petty... - It was you...

who hired me.

And it was also you who put me beside Director Kang.

Did you forget?

So is this how you return my favor?

Don't you find Tae In interesting?

If you're saying that you've done good...

by giving me some toy to play with...

Sure.

But this is the end of my patience for that good.

Don't be rude to me.

I see what you got wrong to follow me here,

but it's not what you think.

What is it that I'm thinking?

What are you trying to babble about?

Director Kang and I are not...

the kind of relationship you imagine, so don't worry.

I was about to leave.

Go ahead and see Director Kang.

Are you...

sure you can work for me after what you've done?

I have nothing to be ashamed of.

And I don't want to...

see you as a lousy person who pulls power trip.

Don't get cute with me.

Take Tae In with you.

Don't you tell anyone that I was here.

You drive him back to where he should be.

If you're a maid, act like one.

Do you understand?

Say it again.

Well...

When Ji Hoon went missing...

I saw Ji Hoon in Chairman Han's neighborhood.

And...

you just walked away?

Yes, I know I'm a terrible person...

but then your aunt and Seo Ju whom I practically raised came across...

Dad!

Come on. Think about it.

My sister and her daughter would get everything if Ji Hoon is gone.

The chairman's love, wealth, and even his company.

Didn't you think about the consequences?

If Uncle finds out about that...

That's why I'm telling you.

I went through such risks and put your aunt up where she's now,

but look what she's doing to me and my family!

But that's all.

I just turned a blind eye.

And that's when I lost Ji Hoon from my sight.

Are you sure that's all?

Yes, that's all.

But things got too big.

If Chairman Han finds out about this,

the hospital won't be the only problem.

What should I do, my son?

Are you waiting for someone to call?

Is that the only reason why you're defending Eun Dong?

What do you mean?

Is it simply because she's the daughter of an employee...

who died at my brother's hospital?

Then what else could it be?

Aren't you going to check?

Director Kang and Junior Director Han met at the fishing spot.

Dad, I need to talk to you.

All right. Let's head out.

Director Kang and Junior Director Han met at the fishing spot.

I will keep my mouth shut about the matter you asked me.

Mrs. Choi seems to be suspecting something.

What is it that Kang Tae In knows and I don't?

Is it related to Eun Dong too?

I'm the only one who doesn't know. What is it?

Ji Hoon,

I'll tell you when the time comes.

When?

After making myself a fool to Kang Tae In again?

Please don't be like that to Director Kang.

That's why I'm...

I'm hating him because of your attitude.

Can't you see?

Ji Hoon.

Director Kang will be our family.

Stop deluding yourself!

Kang Tae In is not your son.

I am.

I guess I was wrong to try to rely on you.

I'll figure it out on my own.

Seo Ju, how could Aunt do this to us?

Because of Cha Eun Dong my mom and I...

Let's talk at work tomorrow.

Are you going to let her get to you too?

I'll take her down for you.

Hand me over the company's social media account.

I'll make a big scene tomorrow to celebrate my first day at work.

What happened?

I heard you didn't even go to work yesterday.

Why are you doing this all of a sudden?

I'm sorry. It won't happen again.

Mom,

come and visit me later in the afternoon.

I'll get you lunch.

Just her?

Dad,

I will...

get you something better later.

Gather the feedbacks for the clothes that were...

presented last time and come up with a revision.

- Okay. - Okay.

The employee whose revision gets chosen will...

My gosh.

assist me with my personal show which will be filmed this week.

What is it?

It's...

Junior Director Han, this was all over the company's social media.

Is it true?

It says that Chief Han and Director Kang are marrying soon.

Did I interrupt something?

You must be the new employee.

Go wait outside.

New employee, my foot.

Ji Hoon.

We'll continue with the meeting later.

Maybe he's surprised.

Did everyone see?

How dare a new employee talk in that manner?

Jun Kyung, was it you?

I guess your hunch is still useful.

I'm Seo Ju's cousin. I'm your boss' family.

Does everyone understand?

What's she saying?

What do you think it is? I'm here to get you.

I hope we get along if you all understood me.

I mean, if you want to work here for a long time.

She's just like her mother.

That witch!

Cha Eun Dong, you're dead.

What are you doing?

Did you say hi to Jun Kyung? Take good care of her.

Did you make Jun Kyung post about the wedding?

Yes. Why?

Do I have to report that to you now?

You can't just marry with obstinacy.

You're suspecting Kang Tae In and Eun Dong!

I just helped you out here.

You like Cha Eun Dong.

So did you bring Jun Kyung for that?

Did you tell her to go hunt down Eun Dong?

I allowed you to hire Cha Eun Dong.

Just throw her out after toying with her sufficiently.

And don't let mine get infested with flies.

It must have been...

so rough for you.

I heard...

that he's the son you were looking for.

Han Ji Hoon.

Tae In.

I got on your way.

It's nothing for you to feel bad.

You've raised me until now.

Why would you...

Mom.

Dad and I are both indebted to you.

What should I do with you?

If their family finds out...

What is this?

Didn't you know? The news is all over the place.

Who did this?

Jun Kyung sent it to me.

It's all over the company!

Who did it?

Who do you think?

I stayed with Tae In last night.

It must have been Kang Tae In.

To settle things down with the marriage.

Chairman Han seemed to have thought through this a lot.

But he still wants us to get married.

I think he wants to...

repay you through me.

What do I do...

with your poor father?

You should live...

for Han Ji Hoon from now on.

You finally found him.

Chairman Han wants you in his office now.

Okay.

Mom, wait for me here.

Don't leave.

That startled me.

Is something wrong at home?

These crazy people.

How could they announce marriage when the scandal is still around?

Who?

Are you talking about Kang Tae In?

Don't even mention his name! It makes me so furious.

- Get me one more. - Sure.

Ms. Gong, bring another glass of beer!

Okay!

Why is that woman here?

Get my beer!

Kang Tae In, this jerk.

(Senior Director Kang and Chief Han announce their marriage.)

Who posted this?

I'm looking into it.

It's either Kang Tae In...

or Chief Han.

This is mad.

Tell Kang Tae In to come in this instant.

His mother is here.

Being in the risk management team...

keeps me so busy.

You seem to be hanging...

onto Choi Myung Hee to evade disciplinary action.

Too bad.

Tae In stopped it using the executive directors.

Permanently staying in your position and losing your voice on the board.

Isn't that practically telling you to leave the company?

Just leave.

Your allies are first,

then you, and your family.

I'll make you pay for your sins.

Check if that woman is by herself in Kang Tae In's office.

You must be Director Kang's mother.

Who is this?

I went to the same college as Tae In.

And Oh Hye Won is my wife.

What made you come here?

You seemed to be meeting the chairman too.

I have no reason to tell you.

Tell Mr. Kang that I want to see him.

I have something...

I must tell him.

What is there to say after doing that to Tae In?

I'll tell him myself.

It's an important matter he should know of.

(Gosh, this is for real!)

It happened without my knowledge.

What?

Then Seo Ju did this without talking with you?

Yes.

Do you think Seo Ju found out...

about your mother and Ji Hoon?

It can't be.

She wouldn't do this if she knew.

Mrs. Choi is here.

Honey.

What kind of a rash act is this?

There's no need to lose time when we're marrying anyways.

We have no other way now.

We'll have to rush with the marriage.

Take care of my daughter.

You stole my son's woman.

How much do you hate Tae In to still torture him?

And you have some nerve to want to see me.

Please calm down.

I have nothing to hear from or say to someone like you.

I won't stay still...

if you mess with my son again.

Going through life...

made me realize that one can't help...

but drink back the dirty water they spat out.

I figured that's life.

Do you know...

who saved you from death?

I do.

My biggest regret is being saved...

by Oh Hye Won.

No.

It wasn't just Hye Won.

There were me...

and Tae In.

Do you know...

what kind of a terrible deal...

your dear Tae In made...

with us to save you?

A deal?

Why did you do this without consulting with me?

Our marriage isn't the biggest problem right now.

Do you know what I'm trying to tolerate?

Just quietly follow what I do.

Father.

I'm sorry, but please give us some room.

Dad, why are you here?

Tell me...

the truth.

How did you save me?

We're not the only ones saved.

Your father was saved too.

It's you who accepted our offer.

What kind of deal...

did you make with Choi Jun Hyuk...

to save me back then?

Finally, you got your hands...

on my dad now.

Did you tell him?

What did you tell Dad?

How much did you tell him?

Cha Eun Dong's father...

who got meddled to save your father.

I told him that you betrayed him...

and used his heart to save your father.

If you don't want your father...

to find that out and die again,

go call it off yourself.

Call off the wedding...

yourself.

(Fatal Promise)

How did you save me seven years ago?

Choi Jun Hyuk would chew Director Kang to his bones...

if he were to find even one weakness.

Have Tae In marry your daughter.

Flirting with both sides... It's so vulgar.

Don't hate Kang Tae In any further.

Tell Choi Jun Hyuk.

Your dad won't be safe either.

I saw you send such texts. What is it?

As long as I'm alive,

Kang Tae In can't do anything.
