With only 10 days left until the election, the debate still centers on the financial crisis,

the severity of which was underlined this morning

when the Central Bank released new financial performance indicators

the fiscal deficit is still growing, foreclosures are going up

as are the the number of companies shutting down.

Growth is at an all time low.

The Prime Minister remains optimistic, about the government new austerity measures.

but underlines that these measures apply to all levels of society.

However todays overriding topic is that according to sources familiar with the matter

oil and shipping giant Zeeland, the flagship of Danish economy,

are planning to move their entire business to Asia because of the crisis.

Should that happen it would be a serous blow for Danish economy, and the government.

So far neither Zeeland nor the Prime Minster have commented on the matter.
