[The Taoism Grandmaster]

[Episode 12]

Are you okay?

- Your hand also hurts? - Yes.

That Magic Egg...

Seriously?

Hey, bros, are you okay?

Maybe you can ask Lian Pixie for help?

We are fine.

We probably ate something bad.

We just need some fresh air.

- Let's go.- Go.

What happened to them?

I have no idea. How could your hand hurt because of eating bad food?

Indeed.

How weird.

I know this charm.

It was on the Imperial Divine Egg, given by Wanshi, that we ate.

Is that damn Imperial Divine Egg activating now?

My hand is aching so much that I can't exert any strength.

The first trial is going to start soon.

What should we do?

Listen. What's that sound?

It seems it's from you.

Nope, it's from you.

It's... No,

it's from both of us.

The first trial of the

Demonic Fate Reaching Illumination Array officially starts now.

Who are you?

Elf the Eighteenth, your Mirror Elf.

I'm Elf the Nineteenth.

It's my pleasure to be your Mirror Elf, Tie Lang.

I wish you success in going through the array and becoming the Righteous Path Seeker!

I'll always be by your side

to cheer you on.

You'll definitely succeed!

Thank you.

Yours is better.

Can we exchange?

It's not allowed.

Or else, I would also want to trade.

Well, let's get back to the point.

You said earlier that the first trial has started.

Elf the Nineteenth, tell them.

My throat hasn't been feeling well lately.

If so, you need more rest.

I'll do it for you.

Listen up.

One hour ago,

around 200 miles from Mount Tai, the Mirror of Sky detected

49 demons making trouble

at 49 different sites.

Based on the analysis of the five alliance chiefs, this is clearly the Phantom World

declaring war against the Alliance of Five Great Mountains.

49 dueling 49.

Look, how mighty

and confident their challenge is!

But why don't they strike the Alliance directly?

Since the array was launched,

there has been a very covert defense

set up within the 15-mile radius of Mount Tai.

If the Phantom World directly attacks, they will just get trapped inside

and then be completely wiped out by us.

The Five Chiefs think that the Phantom World's commander

is a very brave and resourceful strong fighter.

So, the Great Spiritual Mirror gathers information

through the Mirror of Sky to gain enlightenment.

The creation of the first trial of the Demonic Fate Reaching Illumination Array

has finished.

The first trial is an easy task.

You have two hours to reach the site randomly allocated to you

and six hours to kill the demon making trouble there,

then assemble at Return Town.

Oh, there is an Immortal Medical Team

waiting for you in that town

for emergency treatment.

The Immortal Medical Team has six members in total.

They are all eliminated contestants from the Five Great Mountains Tournament.

All are trained in Immortal Medical Skills

and even trained by Lian Pixie herself.

Although they can't raise the dead,

if you are badly injured, it's a blessing to have them around.

It doesn't sound easy.

If it's one-on-one, we will absolutely lose.

Moreover, the enemies are hiding while we are out in the open.

Even before we fight, we're already at a disadvantage.

Don't get so frustrated yet.

Great Spiritual Mirror understands the difficulty,

so she has prepared one Nine Heavens Raika Bomb for each as a defense.

Nine Heavens Raika Bomb again?

Isn't there any weapon that is safer?

And how can we travel 200 miles in two hours?

That's why I'm going to inform you now

to immediately gather at the Spiritual Heaven Hall.

They will send you to the allocated site within two hours.

Nineteenth, can we complain to the Great Spiritual Mirror?

Is everything okay? Are your hands all right?

- Yes.- Yeah.

Has your elf told you about the task in the first trial?

Mine was asleep.

His elf told us.

It's single combat. Do you have confidence?

Not much,

but not totally none, either.

Good.

Let's give the Phantom World a deadly blow!

Yes!

After a millennium, the moment finally comes.

The 49 of you are the last hopes of the Immortal World.

The battlefield of the Second Cleansing War now belongs to you.

The first trial of the Demonic Fate Reaching Illumination Array

officially starts now.

We plan to send you

through the Ancient Logistics Route to allocated sites.

More details will be given by your elf on your way.

Get a move on.

Yes!

Teacher, I'm going to leave for the competition now.

This task won't be difficult for you.

But never take your enemy lightly.

After all, it's the Phantom World.

There is actually an enemy that the Mythical Fire Patriarch puts importance on.

It's either because it's indeed powerful

or that you have changed.

I'm getting old.

My successor is not necessarily the Righteous Path Seeker.

Actually, I always couldn't dare to say this.

I'm fine being or not being the Righteous Path Seeker.

But in order to win the Second Cleansing War,

I'm determined to devote myself to it.

Every teacher has to let go of his disciples one day

and let them go on an adventure by themselves.

It seems that

today is that very day.

After receiving your instructions,

be at ease that I can go through the array.

We'll surely follow your instructions and be cautious.

We won't bring shame to Green Robe Sect.

Thank you for your guidance.

It's not easy for you to come so far,

but in the future, every step will get even tougher.

I have to remind you that

the danger of the Demonic Fate Reaching Illumination Array

is beyond your expectations.

From now on, at every moment,

you need to be ready

to have life-or-death fights with demons.

Never let down your guard.

We understand.

Do your best to showcase

what you've learned from the Alliance.

- Yes.- Yes.

Dad,

I'm leaving.

My hand doesn't hurt now, but it's still numb.

Wanshi really has gotten us into big trouble.

We are bound to lose in the second trial.

Not really.

Shall we hug each other?

That's weird.

After all, we are teammates.

And in this trial,

I can't take care of you anymore.

Take out your Bright Moon Mirror.

Eighteenth, wake up.

We've got something to ask you.

Go ahead.

Where are we going?

Moon River Village, 200 miles ahead.

Mr. Tielang, you need to go 200 miles southward to Bright Moon Village.

Are the two far from each other?

Not too far.

If you walk fast, it takes less than one hour.

Let's team up so that we can help each other.

Fine. Wait for me at Moon River Village first.

I'll bring the demon there and join you.

Okay!

The Ancient Logistic Route is in place.

May all competitors be ready to go.

Teacher, take care!

Stop right there.

Zhang Dashun is your father, right?

Does it have anything to do with you?

Like father, like son.

What do you mean?

Nothing.

You--

We've got to go.

But why does this witch keep talking about your father?

I'm not in the mood to talk about it. Let's go.

Five Great Mountains Technique!

This is the legendary Ancient Logistics Route,

which can take you to

roads more than 200 miles away in a very short time.

With the launch of the Demonic Fate Reaching Illumination Array,

its seal has also been broken.

This route is so ancient that

it'll collapse after being used three times.

So, unless there is no other way, we won't use it.

Now, you can go get your own skateboard.

Where are your destinations?

Moon River Village.

Bright Moon Village.

Moon River? Bright Moon?

I'm at Moon God Village.

We are less than one hour away from each other.

What a coincidence!

Exactly. So if you get into trouble, come find me.

Okay. You should be careful, too.

If you meet any difficulty,

just send us a signal to ask for help.

I ask you for help?

I'm kind of worried about Feifei.

I'm more worried about you!

These are your Nine Heavens Raika Bombs.

May the Way be with you.

Five Great Mountains Technique!

Next one.

How fast!

S-S-Speed up!

Why is mine so slow?

One mile in the Ancient Logistics Route equals to 50 miles in the human world.

So we don't need to go that fast to arrive at the destination.

Can you now tell me what kind of demon or elemental I'm fighting?

I need to tell you first that

in order to create a level playing field

in the Demonic Fate Reaching Illumination Array,

we also have some rules to follow.

One rule is to tell you all that we know.

But if you don't ask, I won't tell.

Quite principled.

So if I ask you how to pass this trial,

you'll also tell me?

Surely I can.

But so what?

Like this time, you just need to kill your rival.

The problem is, can you do it?

I...

I'm now all alone.

Can't you give me some encouragement?

You enjoy lies?

Forget it.

Seriously, who's my rival?

I don't know.

How could it be possible?

The Great Spiritual Mirror can see demons

from the Mirror of Sky, can't she?

It can see all enemies, except yours.

The elemental aura in Moon River Village is too strong.

It is so strong that we can't see its real body.

I even don't know who I'll fight against.

Is this fair?

I'm doomed.

You can absolutely quit.

I'm considering it.

Too late. We're here.

As we know nothing about the enemy,

help me find out something.

It's not my duty to help you fulfill the task.

You...

You're just talking rubbish.

How weird.

The village is foggy and no one is here.

Go in and have a look.

Isn't that too rash?

Just saying.

It's up to you.

You...

All right.

I found it.

Good.

What elemental?

It entered my breathing tract.

Fog Elemental. A Fog Elemental.

Did you say that my enemy is a Water Elemental?

Exactly.

The worst thing is that it can seep in anything and has no definite shape.

So, firstly, you should find out its real body.

Does the Water Elemental look like water?

Yes, every drop of water might be the Water Elemental,

so never let water touch you.

Are you okay?

My enemy's sword is not only fast,

but also unprecedentedly heavy.

It's not its sword, it's the Sword Elemental.

It's coming!

Your swordsmanship is just one routine.

Well, I'll give you one more chance.

As long as your sword is faster

and heavier than mine,

I'll just... chop off your hands

but spare your life. How does that sound?

You'll be sorry.

Mythical Fire Technique,

Scorching Sun Three Styles!

My name is Gui Huo (Ghost Fire).

I'm really fond of playing with fire.

Five Great Mountains Technique.

Shinto Spiritual Bird.

Five Great Mountains Technique.

Ling Ting,

have you sent out the Shinto Spiritual Birds?

As you instructed,

I've sent out 3,000 of them.

Good.

The Mirror of Sky is changing all the time.

It contains millions of mysteries.

It can also observe the whole world.

What an amazing treasure!

The Mirror of Sky is the master controller of the Demonic Fate Reaching Illumination Array

created by our five founders with their utmost energy and wisdom.

Before they became immortals,

they used the supreme immortal technique

to refine their lifelong wisdom into a drop of blood,

put it into the mirror, and created the World of Mirror.

That's why the Great Spiritual Mirror can control the whole array and set the tasks.

But I don't know why, since the launch of this array,

I keep feeling uneasy.

Really?

Why do you feel the same as me?

It's you who feels the same as me.

Do you also have a foreboding?

Indeed.

I thought I was just worried about my disciples.

It's the atmosphere of killing.

Am I right, Chief?

Yes.

But where is it coming from?

From the Phantom World?

No, from the Demonic Fate Reaching Illumination Array.

Once it's launched,

the biggest enemy of the competitors is not the Phantom World,

but the Great Spiritual Mirror.

Although Great Spiritual Mirror won't attack the competitors directly,

she will make every effort and use all means

to wield the power of both good and evil in killing all 49 competitors.

It doesn't make sense.

If the competitors all die, who can be the Righteous Path Seeker?

Mythical Fire Patriarch, until now, don't you still understand the rules of the Demonic Fate Reaching Illumination Array?

The Righteous Path Seeker is the person that the Great Spiritual Mirror fails to kill.

Deputy Chief Lian is right.

While those who are eliminated may survive,

for those who survived to go through the array,

I'll try every effort to kill them.

Why are you so cruel?

Only when you overcome all hardship

can you be free from worldly concerns and be qualified to be the Righteous Path Seeker.

So I'll seize every opportunity

to put competitors to death without any mercy.

Don't forget.

The Demonic Fate Reaching Illumination Array can only be launched once.

We only have one chance.

I've been connected with the 3,000 Shinto Spiritual Birds.

The Mirror of Sky can monitor the change on land,

while the Shinto Birds can enter the array to observe closely.

Now, we've got every piece of information about the array under our control.

Here are five Bright Moon Mirrors especially for you,

through which you can freely observe every competitor

and contact me at any time.

Why can't I find my disciple Lian Changfeng?

Maybe the Shinto Bird hasn't arrived at Changfeng's site.

Chief, I found Kun Lun.

I told you to speed up and you really did.

You aren't a gentleman indeed.

In facing the vanguard of the Phantom World,

I don't need to be a gentleman.

I forgot to tell you that I particularly like men who are not gentlemen,

especially those who use their sword faster than I do.

How delicious they are.

But I wonder if your sword can indeed be faster than mine.

Enough talk!

What a trumpery!

You really let me down.

Those who lose to me taste bad.

I'd rather kill them.

Kun Lun is already top-notch among all competitors,

but he was reduced to fleeing away.

I saw Han Shang!

It's Ju Xiong.

Use your sword, Ju Xiong!

We have 49 competitors.

There could have been many ways to combat the Phantom World,

but why must we choose the stupidest one-on-one strategy?

That's what I meant earlier.

The ones that Great Spiritual Mirror wants to kill are not the Phantom World

but those competitors.

I found Changfeng.

It seems...

I can't witness the birth of the Righteous Path Seeker.

What a shame.

Teacher...

Sorry, I've tried my best.

Tie Lang, hang in there!

Don't pass out! Stay with me!

Who saved me?

Not yourself?

Who else can it be?

No, not me.

I suddenly felt I was moving.

No, the armor was moving.

Be careful. The Water Elemental is still alive.

It's meaningless. You are wasting Thunder Beads.

You can only buy a little time.

Nineteenth, do you know how to defeat this Water Elemental?

Nineteenth, do you know how to defeat this Water Elemental?

Of course.

Every elemental has its own core.

As long as you destroy its core, your mission is complete.

How do I find its core?

Each elemental has its own way and place to hide its core.

The Water Elemental doesn't even have a definite shape.

So, Tie Lang, you need to find it by yourself.

This place is surrounded by water.

How can I find it?

I have confidence in you.

You have, but I don't.

How do I get to Moon River Village?

Turn right from here and you'll be there in an hour.

Tie Lang, escape is of no use.

You must kill the Water Elemental; otherwise, you'll get eliminated from the competition.

I'll find Zhang Ling. He'll surely find the core.

I can use the Invincible Sword Technique in two hours.

This time, I won't miss the opportunity.

The Fog Elemental seems poisonous. It has now entered your body.

You can force it out.

You can force it out

However, your cultivation is far from enough.

What can I do?

Use your brain. You are the competitor, not me.

Don't be lazy.

You are the competitor?

People like you dare to join the Second Cleansing War?

Your enemy is too powerful.

It seems that resistance won't work.

Our relationship had just started to develop, but I never thought you'd be dying this soon.

Dying so young.

Poor man.

With a couple of magical weapons, you dare to uphold justice for all?

Humans are always so arrogant.

Let's see how long you can flee from me.

This armor is really strange.

Indeed, the armor was moving earlier and saved your life.

I thought it was a sure death for you.

Shut up!

You'll be happy if I die, right?

At least, I won't feel sad.

Does the armor have unknown power?

What happened?

There is no single person alive in this village.

Have all of them been killed?

The Vanguards have been sealed for a thousand years.

Every one of them is full of hatred.

In coming back to the mortal realm this time, how could they leave any people alive?

In coming back to the mortal realm this time, how could they leave any people alive?

Damn it.

Once the Nine Heavens Raika Bomb is activated,

it takes one hour to absorb raika energy from Nine Heavens

to create a raika and stamp it on this token.

So, in order to kill the Fog Elemental,

you must pin the token on her within one hour.

But the real body of a Fog Elemental is fog itself,

which has various shapes.

So, if you can't find her core,

even the Nine Heavens Raika Bomb can't kill it.

That means we only have one hour to find out its core.

Why don't you wait to meet up with Donghuang Feifei and Tie Lang?

You then don't need to kill it yourself.

How can I do that?

You know, the first trial is far more difficult than we perceived.

This Fog Elemental is so cunning that none of our preparation will work.

If Tie Lang and Feifei rashly come here to help me,

if they get tricked by this Fog Elemental, it may be disastrous.

So, I must defeat it before they come.

That's the direction of Moon River Village.

It must be the Nine Heavens Raika Bomb that Zhang Ling summoned.

Maybe he's fighting head-on with his enemy.

Zhang Ling fired his bomb.

There are two possibilities.

One, Zhang Ling has discovered the enemy's weakness

and decided to give it a deadly strike.

Two, his enemy is too strong and Zhang Ling may be in danger.

Two, his enemy is too strong and Zhang Ling may be in danger.

Hence, he placed all his hopes on it.

Or neither.

You never know what Zhang Ling will do.

Maybe I was wrong, but one thing is for certain.

Zhang Ling has enough on his plate, so he can't rush here in time to help you.

Look, it's getting colder.

Although you have armor protection, according to my calculation,

you have less than one hour to kill the Snow Elemental

and get out of this Snow Maze.

If you fail, your blood will freeze and you'll die.

Run! Run!

Only one of us can survive.

Isn't that your purpose for coming here?

Come out!

Have you figured out the way of finding its core?

Not yet. How about the others?

The mirror elves can contact each other within the World of Mirror.

So far, to my knowledge, your situation is the best out of 49 competitors.

What?

How are the other guys?

I don't want to upset you.

You'd better focus on your own task.

Come on! Stop playing me along.

Tell me now!

Tie Lang. How is he?

You made me say it.

Tie Lang is currently being chased by a Water Elemental, but he just has minor injuries.

So he's safe now.

As for Donghuang Feifei, it's much less optimistic.

What?

[Moon God Village]

[Moon God Village]

Tie Lang, I got an important message from Zhang Ling.

- What did he say? - He said Feifei is trapped in a Snow Maze by the Snow Elemental.

She will die soon of frozen blood.

He asked you to immediately go to Moon God Village to save her.

Feifei... How is Zhang Ling then?

As far as I know, like you, he is looking for the core of his enemy

and plans to kill it with the Nine Heavens Raika Bomb.

So, he's fairly safe now.

But can he manage it on his own?

I don't know.

By the way, Zhang Ling also said

that he knows your enemy is the Water Elemental.

Besides fire, water is also afraid of the cold.

The Fog Elemental must have its weakness.

Why can't I figure it out?

I must have missed something important.

That must be from Tie Lang.

Right. I just got Tie Lang's message.

He told you to hold on.

After he saves Feifei, he will come for you.

Hopefully, I'll still be alive.

I got it!

What are you doing?

You'll expose yourself.

You want to die?

Fog Elemental, come catch me!

I'm here!

Fine. If you want to die,

I have nothing to say.

I'm kind of sleepy. May I take a little nap?

Sleep tight.

Fog Elemental, do you dare show up and face your grandpa?
