When evil threatens the world,

the warriors of hope will always appear.

Garbed in Cloths of the constellations,

they fight by exploding the energy within them:

their Cosmo.

They are the warriors who

protect the love and peace of the world...

The Saints!

Saint Koga's journey to find Athena continues.

He endures a qualifying exam for the Saint Fight.

Volans Argo tries to stop him,

but with Soma's help, he reaches the goal.

Geki disqualifies Argo for impeding his own companions,

granting Koga and Soma, who worked together to overcome difficulty,

the right to enter the Saint Fight.

They are overjoyed,

but then they learn the Orion Saint, Eden,

had reached the goal first, alone.

Young men, let the Cosmo in your hearts burn!

It Begins! The Saint Fight!

It Begins!

The Saint Fight!

That's why I said that Ryuho's gonna win.

Are you stupid?

It's gonna be Eden!

If Haruto hadn't quit the Palaestra, he might've won.

The winner is probably gonna be...

Me.

And then, I'll get to meet Athena.

You're so relaxed...

What's wrong, everyone?

You look down.

Once the Saint Fight starts, we'll be enemies.

It feels kind of weird...

We made it through the qualifier by working together.

Right.

If we all progress through the tournament,

we may have to fight someone here.

But it can't be helped.

Only one contestant can win the Saint Fight.

That's Orion Eden.

The first to make it through the qualifier.

Everyone, including himself, recognizes his power.

He's a favorite to win.

Hey!

I'm Koga.

Pegasus Koga.

Koga!

You idiot!

I heard you're favored to win, so I thought I'd say hello.

I have some stuff going on, so I can't lose this Saint Fight.

I'm going to win this tournament.

Move.

You're in the way.

That's all you have to say?

I said move.

What?

Hey...

We're not done talking.

What?

I can't move...

Koga!

Koga-kun!

Koga, are you okay?

Koga!

Damn it!

Next time I see him, I'll smash his face in.

Well, if he has the energy to talk, he's fine.

This was partially your own fault.

Stop doing things like that.

He did something when he turned around...

Eden's Element is thunder.

I believe he used an Element attack to temporarily incapacitate you.

But taking Koga out in a single attack, huh?

Pretty impressive.

He didn't defeat me...

I just went numb!

What do you think about that?

As the second favorite to win.

I just plan

to take each of my battles as they come.

Ryuho...

Word going around puts the two geniuses,

Ryuho and Eden, as the clear favorites.

But in terms of overall power, they favor Eden by a touch.

But is that really accurate?

Sure, Eden is strong.

But in terms of Elements,

I can't imagine losing to one wielding thunder.

What do you mean?

She means the way in which the Elements work together.

Each Element is stronger than another Element.

Just as my fire is weak to Ryuho's water,

Yuna's wind is difficult for a thunder user.

In other words, Yuna's stronger than Eden?

That's not exactly it.

I see.

Now what?

Eden's first opponent is...

Corona Borealis Dali!

Yes, another wind Saint like me.

He once won an award in his Element class.

And he's gotten good marks in his other classes,

even if he isn't the best.

He's a traditional fighter, who primarily uses Element attacks.

Which means that he doesn't have many obvious weaknesses.

It just might be possible...

To win the Saint Fight,

you'll need luck, not only skill.

The details don't matter.

I'm gonna beat up Eden,

and then, I'll win the Saint Fight...

That's all!

I don't plan to lose, either.

Yeah.

Everyone wants the same thing.

Then we're all rivals.

Yeah, that's right.

Wonderful...

The Saint Fight competitors are bonding.

Who's there?

You are...

Circinus Hook.

A pleasure.

Koga-kun, let me give you some advice.

Defeat Eden?

Fine.

Try to win?

Also fine.

However,

spend too much time looking up,

and you'll lose sight of what's in front of you.

You'll get knocked out before you even begin.

Keep that in mind.

What's his problem?

Hook's your first fight, isn't he?

Mine?

I had no idea...

He made it through the qualifiers, too.

Koga-kun, don't let your guard down.

Didn't I tell you?

My goal is to beat up Eden, and to win the Saint Fight!

I'll kick that wimp's butt.

You're participating in the Saint Fight, correct?

Headmaster, good morning!

Hey!

Well?

Are you nearly ready?

Yes, sir.

Just watch us.

I am glad to hear it.

So you are Pegasus Koga-kun, right?

Yeah, I guess.

I expect great things of you.

Do your best.

So even the mighty Eden

doesn't neglect his pre-fight training?

Please don't joke.

I know...

You have no need to do anything different than normal.

That's what you want to say, right?

What I want to say is

that I don't understand the point in repeating this stupid farce.

The Saint Fight?

The winner,

the one who will become a Silver Saint,

is already clear.

You think so?

True, you're a step ahead of everyone in terms of power.

But there might be someone with greater potential than you.

I'm just saying it's possible.

If there were such a Saint here, in the Palaestra,

there is no way I wouldn't know.

So, just three days until the Saint Fight...

This year's gonna be a good one.

Right, right...

We now commence this year's Saint Fight!

We will start with an introduction from the Headmaster.

Everyone,

I'm pleased to be able to open

this year's Saint Fight.

First, a cheer for the chosen sixteen!

Good luck! Go get 'em!

I hope you'll all succeed in demonstrating the results of your training,

and that you will make this a great Saint Fight.

Your tireless efforts will be the foundation of a new world.

Let us make a new world.

I wish you all the best of luck!

The matches will be held in a tournament, among sixteen participants.

All matches will be here, in this coliseum.

Further, the winner will earn the right to be a Silver Saint,

and will be granted an audience with Athena.

Saori-san...

I hereby declare that

the Saint Fight has begun!

How much longer?

The first fight has only just begun.

I'm in the second fight...

After the first one, they'll come get me.

After that is Koga.

And after that is Eden.

There are a lot of big matches on the first day.

Lionet Soma, prepare for your match.

Okay! Time to go!

Hey, I'll go, too.

Koga, you stay here.

Why?

I want to fight you, also.

Don't worry...

I'll just flatten him, and come right back.

So for now, you focus on your fight.

Got it?

Soma...

Okay! See you later.

Win, Soma.

Wow!

Jeez...

I can't stop thinking about it!

I'm gonna go watch.

Pegasus Koga, get ready.

So how did the match go? Did Soma win?

Please move!

Soma!

Koga...

You...

I won...

But it was a bit tougher than I expected.

You win, too.

Got it?

Yeah, I'll win.

I promise!

Get him to the infirmary.

Are you ready?

Yeah.

Then let's go.

Go, Koga!

Koga! Good luck!

Don't lose!

So this is the Saint Fight.

Competitors, step forward.

Stay focused, Koga!

You seem to think this will be easy.

What if I do?

I pray you're not letting your guard down.

What do you think about this match?

Hook isn't that highly rated.

In terms of power and potential,

I believe that Koga-kun holds an enormous advantage.

However...

You can't be certain until it starts, huh?

I now announce the fight between Pegasus Koga and Circinus Hook.

Let's have a clean fight.

Got it?

Then, let the fight begin!

Sorry, but I don't have time for this...

I'll end this here!

Give it a try.

If you can.

You don't need to tell me.

What?

A simple-minded attack, just as anticipated.

Ground Needle!

Koga!

That's Hook's power?

N-Not bad...

Let's see how long you can keep talking.

That's my line!

I'm not done yet...

It's useless, Koga.

I've researched you quite in depth.

You won't even be able to get near me.

What's happening?

He's being overwhelmed!

Hook has researched Koga-kun well.

From the look on his face,

he's spent a lot of time investigating.

And Koga didn't even realize he was paired with Hook.

That advantage is incalculable.

Right now, Hook has the edge.

This will be a hard fight for Koga-kun, I think.

Koga...

If I can't get in close, I can't hit him!

I warned you.

Spend too much time looking up,

and you'll get knocked out before you even begin.

You only looked upward,

even though you have neither the power nor greatness to get there!

You just kept looking up, never looking at me,

when I was right in front of you!

He's right.

I kept focusing on Eden,

never looking at what was right before me.

And I...

Koga!

Why are you just standing there, with that wimpy frown?

Weren't you going to win the Saint Fight?!

Koga, weren't you...

Weren't you going to fight me?

Man...

Aren't you embarrassed, screaming that stuff in public?

I know that.

I promised.

Hook...

The battle begins now.

You haven't realized it's useless?

N-Nothing's changed!

Is Koga just an idiot?!

Nope, that's not it...

Well, he is an idiot.

But I can believe in him now.

Look at his face.

That's not the frown he wore a moment ago.

You're right...

He's after something.

You never learn...

Giving up isn't my style.

Let's finish this.

I'm bored by your futile struggles.

My next strike will end this.

I feel the same way.

To be honest, I don't think I can take anymore.

What?

That's it!

Koga-kun appeared to be merely charging forward,

but it was all part of a plan.

By making Hook attack again and again, he learned how to dodge him.

So Koga plans to dodge all his attacks?

Not yet!

Pegasus...

Stay back!

Senkou Ken!

The winner is Pegasus Koga!

Nice fight!

The winner is

Orion Eden!

N-No way...

He's so powerful, his Element doesn't matter.

He's too strong.

With just one strike?
