- One night we heard a man talk about a minister that

smuggled bibles into Bulgaria and Romania,

so I went to a seminar in California and signed up

to smuggle bibles in, and my wife didn't know

anything about this until I came home and told her.

God just opened many doors and many miracles for my

wife and I saw, and god was always there and got

us through unbelievable border crossings.

He allowed us to go to all these countries,

and one of the most miraculous things was we

went to Macedonia, a section of Bulgaria.

At the end of the service, this Bulgarian woman at

the back of the church began to scream.

I didn't know what was happening.

And the pastor announced she got saved reading the

Bible that a Bible smuggler brought in,

and she prayed for Bible smugglers all those years,

and it was just, I went back and talked to this

lady and god allowed us to see things like that to

let us know what we were doing was him.

And we saw many miracles.

God is god, and he can do anything,

and he will do it when you're in his will.

- My parents were both from Paris, France.

They met at a guitar class where my dad was the

classical guitar teacher.

They figured there had to be something else to life

besides just getting up, and going to work,

and going to bed, and doing it over and over

again, and thought there's got to be something that

can fill our hearts with joy and with peace.

They went to India a couple of times thinking

maybe they would find wisdom there.

One of the things that they did was also to begin

the process of reading anything that they could

find related to religion, or related to god, or

related to things that might fulfill their lives,

so they read, and they read and many, many books.

And one of those books was the Bible.

They really didn't understand a whole lot of

it, but it intrigued them, so they thought we're

gonna read it again slower and more carefully.

And it was during that second reading that god

really began to speak to them very specifically with

passages of the Bible.

And they began a sort of dialogue between them and

god where they would ask questions,

very honest questions, and as a result,

they realized that they needed god.

They accepted that god was the god of the universe,

Christ had been sent by god to forgive our sins,

and god dramatically changed their lives.

They immediately felt the peace that they

had been looking for.

They knew that through the Bible,

god had changed them.

At that moment, they realized in their heart

that the reason the wise- men were led to Jerusalem

was because god wanted to reveal his son

through his scriptures.

They realized the Bible is the truth.

It has to be the truth.

They simply knew that god was god,

that his son had come to die on the cross

for their sins, and that the Bible was the

inspired word of god.

- Me and my brother and my sister,

mother had taken us to church.

Time went on in our lives.

My mother and father had a lot of problems,

and at age 16 my mother died.

Father drank a lot. He was an alcoholic.

I began drinking.

As I got into my early teenage years, drugs,

in jail, out of jail, do all right for a while,

and I continued in this cycle that I had been

in most of my life.

There were some good times that happened.

I met my wife now, and we had two daughters.

A couple years later,

I get arrested and get a drug charge.

You would think that would be enough for someone

to straighten up, but it wasn't.

I continued in this cycle that I had been in

most of my life.

I'm out on Friday night, and I went into a bar

early in the morning, altercation, I got robbed,

and I shot a man and killed him.

I'm charged with murder, and I'm guilty.

And it starts dawning on me that I have finally

just went too far.

I've done things that cannot be answered to any

longer. I'm going to jail for a long time.

And I'm immediately locked up and start serving a

two year sentence there.

I'm waiting on the big charge,

this murder charge, in Nashville.

Weeks turn into months, and in that cell,

it's dawning on me that I'm probably never

gonna get out. I've got two small kids,

and life is pretty much done for me.

I hear a sound come up the steps and it's some men,

and we're thinking we're gonna be getting lawyers.

We're in jail, we need lawyers, but it was not.

It was some preachers.

These guys were faithful. They come every week.

So I start listening to them, and some of the

things that I had heard when I was a child in

church, they start coming back into my memory.

And I look in that cell, and I find there's a

couple of old bibles in there,

some of them where the pages are missing,

but I found one that had all the pages in it,

and I called that one mine.

As I lay there reading that Bible,

I'm looking at the perfect plan that Christ

had laid out for us, and I realized that

I was a terrible sinner.

I had sinned and fallen short of the things that

god had us to do as his people.

And I asked him to come into my life.

You know, there was a time in my life

I didn't know if I had gotten so bad that

maybe I couldn't be saved.

But god does not make promises he cannot keep.

God saved me, and anyone else that would

call on him, he can save you too.
