Original subtitles

Miss, it's you?

I'm Ling.

I'm the one who gave you your name.

Do you remember me?

Did I scare you?

Lots of thread.

It's getting longer and longer. What's at the end?

This dragon is nicely sewn. The dragon matches the Phoenix.

Come on, let's see what else we can pull out!

I've made a mistake. Let me fix it.

There are two dragons now.

Dragon against dragon, here comes a jealous phoenix.

I didn't come for you actually.

But I did want to look for you.

Now, I've found you.

Is this your room?

Are you married?

Someone's coming.

We'll take revenge for Chimp.

Maybe Dawn's discovered me.

So he's sent somebody after me.

Now you're in danger too.

It's hard for me to talk to you like this.

Why not take advantage of this. Let me get you out of here.

Let's look around.

Disguise yourself.

As they haven't arrived yet,

Let's go with the hookers, so they can't find us.

Just relax, I've looked around.

No one is coming, let's take a rest.

We can enjoy this moon.

I've brought your bottle along.

Why don't you talk?

Are you Japanese?

Human language can be so deceptive.

All that flattery,

that's what causes all our troubles.

The men!

Can you understand what I'm saying?

We have grown up in a troubled world.

When we join the troubled world, we grow older and older.

People love the struggle for power.

But I prefer drinking!

I don't think you'd understand it, now or in the future.

We'd never have hatred.

If everybody was like us.

We wouldn't have to leave for peace.

I'll fix it.

Chief, what's the matter?

I came from the capital city.

What are you trying to do?

There's a cliff over there.

Miss.

Where am I?

Fortunately, it is not made from fine steel.

Oh no.

Time to eat.

Miss, is that you?

Don't talk or there won't be a meal for you.

Sun Moon Sect conquers the world.

Long live the Sect.

Long live the Sun Moon Sect.

Long live the Sect.

Why don't you kill Ling?

I have my plans.

I know why he came here.

He came here looking for that girl.

For her?

Yes Master!

For her?

Not moving.

Here's some meat.

Wu!

Master Wu!

Master Wu, I've finally found you!

God bless me!

God really helps!

How dare you fool me! Go to hell!

What? You don't dare to kill me.

Making fun of me? Go to hell!

Wu?

Master Wu!

So terrible!

Are you Master Wu?

Don't be scared!

Dawn locked my bones...

to prevent me using martial arts.

He only gives me water.

He just tortures me!

Enough! Let's continue this outside.

Wu!

You know him? That's great!

Kneel down! Betrayer.

Don't be scared!

He can't do anything to us since Dawn locked his martial arts!

Take him to get our reward!

Lock him up!

Master Wu!

Ling, I'll kill Wu, if you come near.

Essence Absorbing stance?

Dawn forced us to do it.

Please forgive us Chief.

You followed Dawn.

You can't call me Chief.

They were forced into it, please let them go!

I'm back!

Brother. - Ling?

Father.

Welcome back.

Father.

Long life to Chief!

Zen.

Tell all my mans now,

that I'm back.

Tell them the truth and arrest the betrayers.

Chief!

I'm afraid it'd be useless.

Where is justice then?

Justice depends on power!

Your loyal subjects have suffered,

like Cloud, he didn't come for ten days.

His legs were broken by Dawn,

and was thrown to Regret Cliff to guard the graves.

Bao objected to cooperation with the Japanese,

he was forced to admit guilt and was poisoned.

Tung disappeared after 20 days.

I think the corpse towed by the wolf was him.

Chiu was executed.

His crimes were written on his tombstone to be scolded by his men.

And Young, your most loyal man...

Young?

What did they do to him?

He was the first one to follow Dawn.

He is in charge of the execution dept now.

He keeps on investigating us.

The men are all scared.

These two hooks,

were designed by him...

to lock you up.

Chief, Dawn's martial arts have improved a lot.

Compared to us, I think...

Stop!

Are you scared?

Chief. In order to find you...

Zen ruined his face and voice to get into the gypsies camp.

He tried so hard to make contact with Ying.

He just wanted to save you.

I always act heroically.

I'll never say surrender.

Dawn, I'll kill you one day.

I'll cut your body into pieces.

I won't let you die so easy.

I want you to become a cripple!

Ling!

What's the matter?

It's our holy job to kill the evil doers.

We'd better work together.

To kill the bastard!

If you swear your allegiance to me...

I will share my reign with you.

Wu, I'm going to Ox Mountain with my brothers.

I don't think I can help you.

No justice at all!

But our lost blood will be avenged.

Dad!

I'll return these hooks to Dawn, I swear!

Someone's coming. - Watch out.

Dig... I want your eyeballs!

Your heart, your lung.

I've got it.

Who's there?

Come here.

The Sacred Volume?

Give it to me!

We're on the same side, Wu.

Same side? I was betrayed by the ones on my side.

Ling, you deserve it.

It's you who's made such trouble.

We're even.

I'm not the one who's going to lose.

We'll leave tomorrow.

I'm not involved in any of your business.

I won't disclose your secret.

I swear.

Brother, what's the matter?

Dad!

Ling, came to me at midnight.

To ask Ying to marry him.

He decided to stay,

so he is on our side.

Kiddo, something's wrong.

You must be kidding!

Ying, won't go with me.

I won't get involved in worldly matters for Ying's sake.

I won't tell your secret to anyone.

So you can relax.

Luckily, it's a joke.

You know we are leaving the martial world behind.

Martial art is meaningless to me.

If you don't trust me. Destroy my martial arts.

Destroy your martial arts?

Wu, you heartless guy.

Don't get close to me! He knows Essence Absorbing Stance.

Right! I'll destroy your martial arts.

Dad, don't think that I've fallen in love with Ling.

I just used him to work for us.

I'm the Chief.

I'd rather kill myself before you, than marry this stranger.

Brother!

Don't be scared, the joke is over.

Kiddo, since we can't sleep.

Let's pack up our things.

We'll leave at dawn.

I've got it.

It's difficult to walk at night.

Ling, you'd better go now.

I can't see you. I cannot accept your heart.

I'll accompany Wahs students on their way at dawn.

Before... - I understand!

I offended the Mainlanders.

Thank you for saving my dad.

I won't see you off.

I understand.

Take care.

Chief...

Why don't you ask him where he is going?

He won't come back.

If you won't, I'll go and chase him.

So you won't live in regret!

It's gone... My wine!

What'll I do without wine?

I've got it! I'll go and search for good wine.

Too late!

Chief, I'm instructed to draw the map.

To celebrate your attack in three days time.

I hope you'll become our new emperor.

You've changed!

Don't be scared!

Even your voice has changed!

Is it because of the Sacred Volume?

No matter how much I change,

I won't forget you Cici.

What a beautiful world.

Making heroes compete for the world.

You'll understand now.

Why I don't sleep with you.

I have the Sacred Volume.

I'll burn it.

Give it to me!

I give you my treasure, the Sacred Volume.

And you try to burn it?

Intruder!

They've seen me.

You are just the same as the common people.

You're heartless.

Chief, I was wrong.

I'll follow you forever. - You won't.

Go now!

I don't know what to do now.

I'd prefer to die than to be abandoned by you.

Who's there?

Ling!

You can speak our language!

I was bored so I thought I'd drink with you.

But I never guessed you're...

What a coincidence.

I'm bored of this unpredictable world.

Since it's unpredictable, let's stop.

We'll leave here tomorrow.

Leave this business to somebody else.

You are willing to die for me,

but no, I want you to stay with Ling for me.

Life is like morning dew, it's hard for me to find a true friend.

Come to me.

Don't let him discover that you aren't me.

Remember me always.

I am coming.

Miss, where are you?

I am here.

What... - Ling!

Miss, I still don't know your name.

Cici.

Cici?

You're crying.

Life is so short and so hard to predict.

We're in the same boat.

All I want is one night with you, please don't ask any more of me.

Long live Chief...

I'm so glad that the outsiders and men are all loyal to me now.

Chief, your voice sounds different...

I've been successful in practicing the supernatural power.

We'll invade the North.

And our kingdom will soon be realised.

Invincible Dawn?

As for Wu, that old fox is useless now.

He'll only ruin my plans.

I've to kill him and all his followers.

Yes, sir.

The needle has entered my artery. I must close my points.

"The seas laugh, lashing on both shores"

"Carried in the waves, we have only the here and now"

"The heavens laugh at the troubled world"

"Only they know, who is to win and lose"

"The mountains laugh, the rain is afar"

"When the waves grow old, the world still goes on"

"The clean winds laugh, such a feeling of solitude"

"My sentiments remain laughing still"

"The earth laughs, solitude no more"

Swordsmen should treasure their swords more than their lives.

Why don't you treasure your swords?

We'll retreat tomorrow.

So we'll have no use for them.

Why don't you take the garlic and season the food?

Don't be so uptight!

Let's not drink too much!

We don't want to miss our trip tomorrow.

Anything else you think we should know?

No.

I just want to sing "Hero of Heroes" with you till dawn.

Come on!

Let's continue.

"The seas laugh, lashing on both shores"

"Carried in the waves, we have only the here and now"

Who really is, the hero of heroes?

Blue Phoenix!

Blue Phoenix, aren't you chasing Ling?

Go! I'll deal with them!

An ill wind.

Dad!

I smell blood! - Blood?

There is trouble with Blue Phoenix.

"The Slaying Sword"

"The Whirlwind Blow"

"The Flying Bomb"

Stop right there!

Go out and have a look. - Where is Kiddo?

She is outside. - Where's my sword?

The swords so hot.

Take Blue Phoenix to safety.

I know you are here, Dawn.

Wu, we haven't seen each other for six months.

You must be upset that you were fell into my trap.

Once you discovered I had the Sacred Volume.

You would have feared I'd develop supernatural power.

So you would have killed me.

Therefore, I took this risk.

To take action before you, seize your position,

and establish my own kingdom of Highlanders.

History will remember me,

and they'll thank you Wu.

Your voice tells me you are not Dawn.

Who are you?

Supernatural power from Sacred Volume.

Hey! Your sword is hot!

The chicken is still on it.

It's cooked now.

Hey! That's my sword.

You said you don't want it anymore. - Take it here.

How can you be so scared when facing your enemies!

All rubbish!

Chief, come! We have company.

Blue Phoenix.

She is seriously hurt! Take her in quickly!

Chief!

Chief!

Chief!

Chief!

Cici...

Ling?

Long live Japan.

"The Flying Bomb"

"The Whirlwind Blow"

"Essence Absorbing stance!"

Zen.

Blue Phoenix is seriously hurt!

Master Wu. - Luke, don't go there.

Japanese Gypsies, it's a mistake to follow Dawn.

The Chief has defeated you.

You are not qualified to challenge him.

Chief, I think Dawn has come.

He may be nearby.

We shouldn't drag the Wah students into this.

Don't stay with us, go quickly!

Let's all go together.

Our feud is too deep.

We can't just leave with you.

Blue Phoenix is seriously injured.

Please take her away with you.

You had better go now, find some herbs to cure her.

Or, it'll be too late.

Blue Phoenix, if you come back and find our corpses.

Please take revenge for us.

Go! Hurry up!

I wish you luck.

Let's go!

Take care.

"The Slaying Sword"

"Essence Absorbing stance!"

"The Flying Bomb"

"Powerful Hand stance"

"Division"

"Essence Absorbing Stance"

"Timber"

Tell me! Where is Dawn?

I won't tell you anything!

Dawn, come out!

Kill! I want to kill...

Dad! Stop! You've not yet recovered.

Chief! There's a long way ahead, why not get your revenge later?

For Sun Moon Sect's sake, just swallow your pride for now.

I beg you!

Zen! I've heard enough!

Hurry up!

Wu, I'm coming.

Did she hurt you?

I'll take revenge for you.

Take Blue Phoenix away, don't let brother come back.

Go! Kiddo!

Are you retreated?

Bull shit! Sword position. - Yes...

Isn't it Invincible Dawn?

Dawn should be a man.

Scum bag.

You are trapped! Wu has gone.

Brothers!

There is fire over the inn.

Shit! Would Wu do anything to our brothers?

I have to go back and check that out.

Cici, I'll come back for you at dawn.

I want to go with my brothers.

I won't go to Ox Mountain.

If you see Ling, tell him not to wait for me.

My points are breached.

The poisoned blood is running through my whole body.

I can't be cured.

I want to die together with Dawn.

Blue Phoenix...

Should we stop singing "Hero of Heroes".

Blue Phoenix! We need to hurry.

I'll find a doctor to cure you.

I'll take you to Ox Mountain.

Let's retreat.

Chief...

I haven't left you.

I'm happy now I've waited for your return.

Sing, let's sing!

"The seas laugh..."

Brothers!

You have gone into seclusion.

Goodbye.

Ling, you don't understand the world.

Your enemies are afraid of your revenge.

Even if you hide yourself, they won't let you go.

Dawn!

30 thousand of Dawns men have been sent to Blackwood Cliff.

They are waiting for further instruction.

He wants to be emperor.

We'll go to Blackwood Cliff and we may not come back.

Dawn has power from the Sacred Volume.

How deep is his Martial Arts?

You should understand your enemy.

Ling, do you want to look at the Sacred Volume?

See what it is?

Would you let me have a look?

Take it.

We are in the same boat now.

Great!

Dawn and I got this Sacred Volume together.

I knew he was aggressive.

He wanted to own it.

I copied one set.

To practice the supernatural power, you must cut your penis off?

Cut it off...

Wu!

Dawn is so smart and cunning.

He locked my bones.

But in the end, he went too far!

To practice the supernatural power, he was willing to cut off his penis.

He isn't a man now!

For this Sacred Volume... Our Master betrayed us.

Therefore we decided to leave for peace.

Leave for peace?

Ling!

If your next generation can't resist the temptation of martial arts.

And leave you to be swordsmen again.

Can you stop them?

Next generation? I've never dreamt of it.

Swordsman! Once there are people, there is feud.

With feud, there is a troubled world.

Eventually, man is troublesome.

How can you claim you want peace?

Sun Moon Sect conquers the world.

Long live the sect.

Long live the Sun Moon Sect.

Long live the Sect.

Head Chief...

Wu is going to attack Blackwood Cliff.

The guards have been killed.

They'll soon be here.

They can't hurt me.

They are already here.

I'm going to destroy those betrayers!

Only those who obey me can keep their lives!

"Swaying sword!"

"Cool sword!"

"Attacking sword!"

Cici!

Ling!

Are you Dawn?

Sure.

You're joking!

Ying!

Why don't you greet your uncle?

No, you'd better call him auntie now.

The Mainlanders bully the Highlanders.

Now you bring Mainlanders to Black Wood Cliff...

to interfere in the internal business of Sun Moon Sect.

How can you face your ancestors?

You allied with the Japanese Gypsies to kill our men.

And you dare to mention our ancestors!

If the Highlanders can rule the Mainlanders.

Dawn will be famous forever.

Shut up! I will kill you myself.

But before the duel, I want to know.

Did you sleep with me that night?

Brother, you...

You slept together?

I hope...

you found the right hole!

Yes, laugh!

We have grown up in a troubled world.

But we are getting older and older.

People love the struggle for power.

Why not drink instead of fighting?

Sacred Volume is a big joke.

Now you are famous.

Can't you tell the difference between a man and a woman?

How could you sleep with him?

Kiddo, let's finish this here and now.

You know it's our Sect's business.

Why would you go against me with them?

I must take revenge for my brothers.

Take revenge?

I haven't killed any of your brothers.

I saw you kill them.

Actually, the Wah students were not linked with you.

They were killed for no reason.

You'll pay with your life.

Be careful!

"Essence Absorbing Stance"

You've killed your own dogs.

Time to pay back.

Kiddo.

Chief!

Your honour.

Watch my hook!

And again!

I thought you learned this for power.

But you did it because of a man!

You are jealous because I can take both.

Do you think that anyone will listen to you?

It's a pity that Ling has Ying and Kiddo.

You'd be the third even if he did want you.

Betrayer!

Father!

Ling, I'm bored of this unpredictable world.

Since it's unpredictable, let's stop.

We'll leave here tomorrow.

"Essence Absorbing Stance"

Father!

Wait!

Ling, I'm sincere,

so I'm not in full strength.

How dare you try your very best to hurt me?

Answer your lover!

Stop attacking your allies.

Why didn't you attack his weakest point?

You don't want to, do you?

Don't talk about love between us.

We've only hatred.

Hatred?

You did this for revenge, or for the girls?

You heartless guy!

I want you to see them die...

in front of you.

Supernatural power from Sacred Volume.

The wall will fall soon.

Hurry up, to the roof!

It is not safe here!

Dawn!

"The Whirling sword!"

"Merciful hand"

"Attacking sword!"

"The reverting sword!"

Who can you save?

"Combination on four stances!"

Kiddo!

Why have you saved me?

I want to ask you...

Did I stay with you that night?

I won't tell you, I want you to remember me.

I want you to regret for your whole life.

Cici!

Brother! - Ling...

Tell me, you are Cici.

Sun Moon Sect will unite the whole world.

Long live...

Wu, our Chief!

Long live...

It's another Dawn.

Hang Dawn up! - Yes.

Please forgive us!

Yang, kneel! - Yuan, kneel!

Lee, kneel! - Chi, kneel!

Seto, kneel!

Bring those who betrayed me here...

And kill them! - Yes!

Whosoever betrays me deserves to die!

Zen! - Chief Wu.

Anybody else on the list?

Fan, Ching, Lin,

Lui, Hoi, Cheung,

Lee, Kan, Win...

Wu, Tung, Yang, kneel!

Ling! - Ying.

Ling, you must go now!

What's the matter?

You are on the list.

Dad won't trust any mainlander.

Dad holds the power again.

He won't let you go.

I'll lead you to the exit.

Who else can you trust?

Ling, follow me, quick!

Let's go!

The boat is leaving. Take the tea to the boat.

Ling, you can't go to Ox Mountain.

He won't let you go.

The government is going to arrest you.

If you want to go into seclusion, the only way is to go to Japan.

What? Japan?

What are you going to do?

You brought this for me.

I cannot play your favourite song.

Take it back.

Ling!

Zen!

Ling, our Chief wants you to return.

If you don't, I must take your head.

I'll do it!

Ying! - I'm fine.

"Willow sword"

What do you have to say now?

If I die doing my duty, I'll have no regrets.

Do it!

I have no wish to injure you.

Zen!

Ling, I can't arrest you.

I can't finish my job, so I must cut off my arm.

But I envy you, for you can leave here.

Go now! Someone's coming.

The ship is ready.

Please leave me alone.

Go!

Ying, won't you come with us?

Your father won't let you go.

But I am his daughter,

I'll stay with Sun Moon Sect.

The ship is leaving, let me go.
