and they're illustrated
brilliantly in this play,

Shadow of Death,
by Erris Vale.

And we're very lucky,
because it opens tomorrow night

at the Garrison Community
Playhouse,

and I don't know if you guys
have seen this around campus,

but here's the poster.

who that is.

The movie star,
Bella Brightman.

She has a vacation home here,

and she loves our community
theatre so much

that she has agreed
to play the lead,

so we're very excited
about that.

And if that wasn't enough,

you get to go and see Lacy
be brilliant in the play.

And of course, Bud,
our stage manager.

Well, we would be nowhere
without our dramaturge,

Professor Winslow, telling us
exactly what the play means.

[laughs]

Oh, and to clarify, a dramaturge
is a literary advisor,

it's someone who researches
the script for clues,

and kind of explains it
to everybody else.

So basically she does exactly
what she does in this class.

[students laughing]

extra credit.

And I know that is shameless
bribery,

but it is for the betterment
of your education,

for the local vicar,

played by that handsome man
over there, Elliot Quirk.

Mmhmm.

When he donated lumber
for the set,

he got bit by the acting bug.
