Episode 8

Did you go outside the palace again?

You do not deserve to be a princess.

Hear me!

Dethrone the Princess...

and lock her inside the chest.

- Yes, Your Majesty. - Yes, Your Majesty.

Father!

Father!

Let go!

Father, I have something to say.

Please lock Master Gyun up with me.

It was Master Gyun...

who talked me into going to the festival.

What?

Your Majesty, I am innocent!

- Please save me. - Come here.

- Please! - I will not be lonely in here.

Your Majesty!

No way.

Is there any way to control that unruly Princess?

Where did they go?

Your Highness, the Queen wants you to visit her residence.

Why are you doing this?

You should greet your mother first.

I asked you why you are doing this.

Do you really not know?

They have done nothing wrong.

They could not serve their master right.

They did wrong enough.

Just punish me instead.

How can I?

Continue hitting them.

Stop.

What are you doing?

I said to punish them!

What are you doing?

Hit me instead.

Do you think I cannot do it?

What is going on?

The Princess went outside the palace?

I went to talk to her yesterday,

but she was not in her residence all day.

She could have been in somewhere else inside the palace.

This is not all.

Even when His Majesty returned to the palace,

she was sitting in her room with dirt on her feet.

I am certain.

Seeing her pretend not to know after deceiving her father,

I was very upset.

My apologies.

How should I deal with it?

- We should let His Majesty know... - Let it slide.

Pardon? But...

The King is under a lot of stress already.

There is nothing good about letting him know of this.

Of course,

I do not want him to worry.

Then this is done.

Be generous and let it slide this time.

You gave her a lesson today as well.

She must be repenting now.

Your Highness,

do not be so upset.

I am sorry. It is all because of me.

We are really fine.

Right, Byul?

Right, we are fine.

There is nothing to be upset.

- Young Sin. - Yes, Your Highness.

- It is not enough. - Pardon?

The bandage is too short for you.

You need to lose your weight.

What do you mean? It is just swollen.

Let us say you are right.

I am right!

Stay still.

You are such a crybaby.

Why is there nothing?

What did they write until now?

Goodness.

Seriously.

Master Gyun.

This is the most popular book these days.

("The Princess' Privacy")

"The Princess' Privacy"?

It is amazing.

I am not looking for things like this.

It is all right to be honest to men.

There is nothing to be ashamed.

You are a man, so naturally...

I said I am not looking for something like this.

Then what is it that you want?

Something about revenge and punishment.

I want everything about taking revenge.

Something about taming girls too.

Master Gyun.

"A Way to Tame a Girl".

- "Kill Your Wife". - That is right.

"Vengeance Is Mine".

"The Taming of the Shrew". This one is a masterpiece.

- Do you need more. - Yes, please get me more.

("The Taming of the Shrew")

Gosh.

("The Taming of the Shrew")

They are all ridiculous.

I will not be able to tame the Princess like this.

("The Princess' Privacy")

Why is this...

Why is this here?

The cover is really...

("The Princess' Privacy")

Your Highness.

You are cute.

Do not even think about going home tonight.

- This should not be done! - Yes, it can.

I am not prepared yet.

- Yes, you are. - Your Highness.

Just stay still. I will take care of this.

Just trust me.

Your Highness.

Right.

"The Art of War" also mentions this.

It is best to avoid situations like this.

Is it not Master Gyun?

Is he...

running away from me now?

I think so.

Master Gyun!

Master Gyun!

Master Gyun!

Are these warts on her face?

(Kim Eun Ji, 18 years old)

She is from a rich family.

That is good.

That would be perfect.

Her father is the Minister of Culture and Education?

She is in.

A blind date?

This is the list of girls who want to get married to you.

Mother, I am not interested in getting married yet.

Do not worry.

I do not have any intention of...

marrying off my son this early.

What? Then why...

I did not tell you to marry someone.

Meet with these girls, but do not agree on marrying them.

Do not reject them either.

Just keep these girls interested in you.

I do not get what you are saying.

It is simple.

She wants to brag about her outstanding son...

to the other families.

In other words, play hard to get.

Son.

Can you not grant your mother's wish...

and be a good son?

Woo.

Mother, I cannot meet all of them.

Just make them in line and take turns in meeting you.

Let me put them in order.

The one from a rich family would be first to meet.

She is the first in line.

Master Gyun?

(Third daughter of the Minister of Culture and Education)

Lady Choi?

It is nice to meet you.

You look very different from the picture.

I meant a little.

Right?

I look better in person, right?

Yes.

This picture is totally wrong.

- Excuse me? - Nothing.

Are you disappointed?

She is warm, modest, and elegant.

She is graceful...

and looks like a warm sunlight in the afternoon.

She is your ideal type.

She is the only daughter.

The family's inheritance will all go to her husband.

What are you waiting for?

She is perfect for you.

Look at this pretty ring.

Shall I buy you a white horse?

This is driving me crazy.

The fortune says she likes men.

She looks sly which is perfect for you.

My goodness.

I know how to read fortunes by looking at people's palms.

If you do not mind, may I?

I will read your fortunes.

My goodness.

Goodness gracious.

You are very healthy.

Your hand is so...

Think of her as your mother and depend on her.

I hear you are the Prince's teacher.

How much is your income?

She must be good at calculations.

Her first question is your income. That is unusual.

Stop already.

Did you say that to me?

Oh, not you.

I heard Master Gyun is having blind dates every day.

You wanted Da Yun to be your in-law.

Have you given up on that?

It is nothing. They are all meeting him for nothing.

What do you mean?

He is meeting those girls for his mother's sake.

Those whom Mother wants to make her daughter-in-law are not on the list.

My brother is only meeting them to make his mother happy.

But he has the sassy girl.

Are you sure the girl is clinging to him?

Are they really not lovers?

That is nonsense!

- How dare you! - My apologies.

I am sorry.

Be careful.

If you continue on crying,

I will just make you live with me.

Let us stop and eat something.

Stop the horse.

Will you eat or kiss me?

Stop! Please stop the horse.

Will you eat or sleep with me?

He came for drinks.

Hey, Woo. How was your blind date?

How was it?

Let us stop here.

- Gosh, you stink. - Stop.

So the image of her keeps showing in front of you.

Right, and she is like the enemy whom I do not wish to see again.

That must be because of your eagerness to take revenge.

Right, that must be it.

- The eagerness to take revenge. - Feeling suppressed.

By the way,

how is your relationship with Lady Hye Myung?

I do not even need to explain.

He has been talking about her ever since the festival.

You fool.

If you are not interested,

introduce her to me.

She is not someone you can handle.

That is her charm.

She cannot be described by the rules. She goes ahead of time.

She is my ideal type.

Charm? Ideal type?

Write one more novel if you have time to long for her.

Dating her will eventually make me do well on my work.

Come on.

You have no pride.

Goodness.

It is love that we are talking about.

Stop treating my love so lowly like that.

- Do not hit me. - That is enough.

Give up on that woman.

Do you like her by any chance?

The girl that you keep thinking about is...

That is ridiculous!

It is more suspicious to see you react this way.

Right.

Do not be this way and just be a bridge.

For me.

Who is that?

- Get him! - Yes, master!

Stop!

Stop!

Over there!

- Get them! - Stop!

- Get them! - Stop!

Get them.

Stop there.

- Arrest them all. - Yes, master.

From here is the Gentry Village.

You cannot enter without the King's orders.

Did you get what I meant?

Did anyone follow you?

- No, my lady. - No, my lady.

You must not let others know of this.

Take a look.

Eagerness to take revenge.

Feeling suppressed.

Right, that must be it.

Hey.

We must be meant to be.

I see you wherever I go.

Is it not that you followed me?

We are caught, master.

Maybe we made it too obvious.

Is it a new flyer?

We just found this on the ground.

Well,

it says the Princess came to the lantern festival.

Why are you surprised?

It is surprising news.

It is too early to be surprised.

It also says she enjoyed the night with a man.

That man is...

Kang Jun Young, the lieutenant of Office of Investigation.

You remember Do Chi, right?

The leader of a gang.

It turns out the three of them are in a love triangle.

- What? - Kang Jun Young...

finds out that the Princess is dating Do Chi.

Thus, he arrested Do Chi and locked him up in prison.

That is not true.

How do you know?

I heard from my friend's...

friend's friend.

I heard from my friend's friend's friend too.

Did you not say she has a lover already?

I heard that is why she keeps sneaking out of the palace.

That royal commissioner?

She must have gotten over him now that it has been three years.

The Princess' lover?

I only read it in the flyer.

The guy's name is Min Yoo Hwan.

He went missing three years ago...

while doing a secret investigation.

He went missing?

Yes, it is because...

he got caught taking bribes.

He must still be on the wanted list.

Let me see that.

(Lieutenant Kang and Princess Hye Myung)

(Lieutenant Kang and Princess Hye Myung)

The Princess, Lieutenant Kang, and the leader of a gang?

This is exciting.

The King's trustworthy Lieutenant Kang is on the flyer too,

so he will not let this pass this time.

Is this true?

Tell me this instant if you have anything that you hid from me.

My apologies, Your Majesty.

What should we do?

It is all over the palace now.

If His Majesty finds this out...

- Do not make a fuss. - I am not just saying this.

I am worried.

His Majesty is here.

Why did you go outside?

For what reason?

(Lieutenant Kang and Princess Hye Myung)

Did you not say she has a lover already?

I heard that is why she keeps sneaking out of the palace.

(My Sassy Girl)

You deceived the King and broke the rules.

I cannot forgive you this time.

Locked in her residence?

Being in probation is not enough.

Who is behind all this?

I will be back by night.

Why are you so reckless?

Pretend you did not see me.

It is all because of her lover.

Please keep this safe with you. I shall return no matter what.

The longing heart for something.

That is the scariest of all.

Who are you?
