My Sassy Girl

Episode 26

Ghost Mask.

I'll go this way. The rest of you can spread out.

Yes, sir!

Lord Choon Poong!

Lord Choon Poong, Lord Choon Poong.

My lord, look at this.

Let me take a look.

"The rumor of the affair 10 years ago..."

"was all a lie."

"All of the evidence was fabricated."

"The witness was bribed."

"Just like you cannot cover the sky with your hand"

"you cannot cover the truth."

It is all over the palace.

It seems like Ghost Mask definitely knows what happened 10 years ago.

Your Highness, what is it?

"Bool Hwan Yin Ji Bool Gi Ji, Hwan Boo Ji Yin."

That is what Confucius said.

Sister!

Gather them all at once!

The princess and Wonja must never find out.

Yes, Your Majesty.

Ghost Mask or whoever it is...

How could he possibly know this?

Calm down, Your Majesty.

Is it really...

Prince Chuseong returned as a ghost?

Your Majesty.

We need to perform an exorcism.

- Call in the shaman. - The Dowager Queen is entering!

Have you come?

Have you been reading that as well?

Well...

I have already read it myself.

Is that so?

10 years ago, the Minister of the Left

brought Court Lady Kim to me and showed me a letter.

But now they say it was fabricated.

This old lady must be worrying over nothing.

What are your thoughts, Queen?

Pardon me?

Fabricated? That is utter nonsense.

How could something like that happen?

Please do not let the traitors shake you.

Did you see the flyer?

Yes.

I am scared Wonja will find out.

I know he will find out someday, but right now...

You need to clear your mother's name before he does.

I will look into the evidence and witness from back then.

It will not be easy.

A long time has passed and there is a gag law.

We still need to do it.

Why isn't she coming?

Wait a minute now... is she playing hard to get?

Mal Geum.

Mal Geum.

What are you doing here?

Oh, it's Chang Hwi.

I asked you why you're spying on the minister's home.

Oh, it's because, well...

Why can't you answer us?

This is very suspicious.

Are you...

Ghost Mask?

What?

Hey, isn't he a little too small to be Ghost Mask?

Yeah, he's too chubby as well.

No, it is him. Take a look.

Look.

Are you serious?

This is so absurd... so absurd.

What!

You need to answer the question.

We asked you why you were spying on the minister's home.

I came to see Mal Geum! Are you satisfied?

Ghost Mask in the middle of the day. Crazy punks!

Mal Geum? Who is Mal Geum?

Isn't she Da Yeon's maid?

Ghost Mask uses a sky lantern to distribute his flyers.

Then, yesterday...

Get ready to move out right away once sky lanterns are up.

I understand.

What should I do now?

Even that useless old woman is trying to choke me.

Both the Minister of the Left and Wol Myung...

Neither care about what happens to me.

Your Majesty!

"Hak Yi Shi Seub Ji, Bool Yeok Yeol Ho Ra."

That is what Confucius said.

If you learn something and review it whenever you can

will that not bring you joy?

Wonja!

Mother!

Young Master Gyeon, you can end class for today.

What is the reason for that?

Must I tell you the reason for every little thing?

Is there something going on?

Not at all, Wonja.

Your mother would just like to spend some time with you.

The rumors from the flyers are spreading everywhere.

I feel that someone is trying to look into the past incident.

I cannot capture them over just a rumor.

The princess and Wonja will end up getting hurt in all of this.

I am very worried.

You need to stay strong, King.

You never know. He may have a lead.

Back then, there was a very famous calligrapher.

He was very well known in that industry.

What does that have to do with this flyer?

There are rumors that the evidence of the scandal was a letter.

A letter exchanged between Prince Chuseong and the queen.

So the calligrapher actually wrote that letter.

Yes.

I know we live off of writing novels.

But that story is a bit over the top.

Where is that man?

He is already dead.

When the rumors of the affair started, his house suddenly caught on fire.

So his entire family, all of them...

That is why you suspect he wrotethose letters.

How terrifying.

But you know that man?

It is someone you know, Young Master.

- Who is it? - Don't you remember?

Yoon Ga from the ink brush store.

Yoon Ga?

Well, you never visited the brush store very often.

Gyeon Woo went every day.

I did?

You really don't remember?

You're a little strange lately.

The witness committed suicide?

Yes, there was a maid who told the Dowager Queen that she saw the letters.

Perhaps it was because of the guilt. She killed herself soon after.

There were rumors that it was murder.

People are wary due to the gag law.

Everyone is whispering about it after the flyers came out.

Wonja does not know yet, does he?

I do not think so.

The queen canceled all his classes.

I heard she spent all day with him.

Did you not take care of the evidence and all witnesses?

I took care of it all with no errors.

Then is it not very strange?

You are the only one of Prince Chuseong's former men left.

Who could come up with a plan like this?

There is a former court lady who said she delivered the letters.

Take care of her.

Mother, take your medicine.

Who are you?

Why are you doing this?

I did everything you asked me to.

I took care of both, including their families.

I burned down the brush store to get rid of the evidence too.

No one could have found anything.

You are the only one left who knows that fact.

Are you... doubting me right now?

I do not think you would dare to be so foolish as to betray me.

Catch Ghost Mask for me.

I need to see for myself who he is.

Yes, sir.

Where could he be this late at night?

Apparently, the queen wished to sleep with him tonight.

He is at her residence.

As long as Wonja is fine.

Brush store... Yoon Ga.

"Maeng Mo Sam Mang Ji Gyo."

"Maeng Mo Sam Mang Ji Gyo."

For the time being...

how about you stop working at the clinic?

Is it not dangerous outside the palace?

I am fine.

Princess.

Is this because of the flyers Ghost Mask has been circulating?

Did you know about them?

I am sorry.

You had no choice.

I know that.

Are they leaving us out again to do something?

Why are there so many secrets within one department?

He must not like us because we got in through Chang Hwi.

Hey!

What is the problem? He isn't even wrong.

You are so right... so right.

So, how long do we have to follow this Ghost Mask?

I overheard them talking about Ghost Mask and sky lanterns.

I think they will catch him soon.

I hope they catch him soon.

Hey, let's go eat rice.

Rice?

Sky lanterns?

What do you mean resign?

Minister.

How could you do this along with Young Master Gyeon, at that?

Please forgive me.

It is so sudden. Why are you doing this?

I want to live quietly with my family in the countryside.

I want to live educating future scholars.

You need to be a source of strength to me in these times.

Please forgive me, Your Majesty.

Minister.

"Maeng Mo Sam Mang Ji Gyo"?

The queen was deposed because of that.

There were rumors that she had that kind of relationship with Prince Chuseong.

Someone wrote about them being together.

Then she got kicked out.

Ah, you mean that flyer that was going around?

Yes, that one.

Young Master Gyeon!

Young Master Gyeon.

Are you all right?

I am all right.

I am really fine.

Take this medicine.

You may end up becoming a real doctor at this rate.

Hurry up and take it and do not get sick again.

Why bother taking me home?

I should be taking you home.

I told you that I'm really all right.

Byul, what is that?

Is that a sky lantern?

There is no festival. Why are there sky lanterns?

- Go to the palace, Your Highness. - What is it?

I will tell you after I return.

Young Master Gyeon.

Take care of Her Highness.

Yes.

Young Master Gyeon!

Young Master Gyeon! Young Master Gyeon!

Wake up, Young Master Gyeon!

Young Master Gyeon!

Wake up, Young Master Gyeon. Young Master Gyeon!

Young Master Gyeon, Young Master Gyeon!

Please wake up, Young Master Gyeon.

Young Master Gyeon!

[My Sassy Girl]

Wol Myung has been caught?

Get rid of him.

There is too much that he knows.

We should borrow the knife of another if we can.

I will get you out, no matter what I have to do.

You should give up now.

Do you think the Minister of the Left will let you live?

I would like it if you did not come near my Gyeon Woo again.

There is something you need to know, Your Highness.

It was all my fault.

I feel wronged, Your Majesty.

There is evidence, yet you continue to deny it!

To tell you the truth...

Forgive me... Your Highness.
