The league will execute its first assingnment soon. Have you decided who to eliminate first?

Have you chosen your first victim from the hit list?

Yes, I have.

Who is he?

It`s....

It`s not the Tang Chiese but the Goguryeoan traitors who betrayed their own and sold out the country.

Bu Kiwon, Sa Bugu and Shin Sung must go first.

You read the heart of the people correctly. But there is someone else you must eleminate first.

A Tang slave trader name Wang Chun.

Wang Chun?

He is working with Sa Bugu to smuggle the displaced citizens.

He must be rid of first to stop the Goguryeoans from being sold as slaves.

Wang Chun...

Bring me pen and ink.

Pen and ink? Why?

I will declare the existence of Dongmyoungchun league to the Tang Chinese that gather here at Tsui Sing Lau tomorrow.

-Declare the existence of Dongmyoungchun League? -We are a very small secret military organization.

We need to use bold psychological techniques to intimidate and demoralize our prey.

Then...?

-Get them on their knees! -Down on your knees!

Good evening, sire. I appreciate your hard work.

Let`s go inside.

You`ve got the pick of the crop.

You`ll get good money for them. Thank you, sire.

When will I get the rest of the slaves?

-I need to raise the price. -Sire?

It`s getting harder and harder for me to smuggle them out. (Sa Bugu)

I`m told Goguryeo slave are a hot commodity and the price is the seller`s call.

I`ll give you double what we agreed on.

You`ll get hte rest of the slaves by tomorrow night. Remember,

the protectorate must never find out about our deal or Lor Bu Kiwon and I could be in serious trouble.

Don`t worry, sire.

I want the money first. Send it discreetly.

I will, sire.

Hustle, everyone!

The wedding guests will start arriving any moment! No, that doesn`t belong there!

She must think you`re dead. Chulin would never marry Li Kaigu Knowing that you`re alive.

Put all other thoughts aside.

They say marriages are decided in heaven.

General Li Kaigu is your destiny

I know... (Chulin: Li Jinzhong`s Daughter)

I`m going to live only for my child...

Yes... That`s all you can do....

Congratulations.

They are a beautiful couple.

-We have visual confirmation of the prisoners. -How many guards?

Minimum thirty.

Let`s just wipe them all out at once.

-Approach quietly as close as possible. -Got it. Let`s go!

We`re here to get you out! Hurry! Let`s go!

Hurry! Let`s go!

Get out of there! Hurry!

Please...Let me go. I`ll give you all this gold! Please, please don`t kill me!

Girls, what are waiting for? Entertain us!

-We`re just getting started and you`re already drunk. -Wine is to drink and women are to hold.

I will hold you like this,

so pour that wine into my mouth (King Bojan)

Please! I can see your tongue! This is so vulgar!

Yes, there`s nothing more vulgare then your tongue. You curse with your tongue and you lie with your tongue.

What are you waiting for? Start pouring!

(Yeon Namseng:Yeon Gaesomon`s oldest son)

Your Majesty! Get a hold of yourself!

He`s out cold.

Who knew that the King of Goguryeo would be reduced to this!

What the...

General Li, Let me pour you a drink.

There you go.

Don`t drink sd fast, my man.

You don`t want to be knocked out on the first night of your marriage.

I have a delightful announcement to help celebrate this blessed occasion

It appears Yingzhou territory will soon belong to the Khitans tribe.

General!

Khan, you have worked vert hard for me.

Thank you, general.

The fields of Yingzhou lay barren right now. Take as many GGoguryeoans as you need to cultivate the land.

I never doubted you, general Xue.

You kept your word. (Li Jinzhong:Khitan tribal leader.

You risked your life on the battlefiels for me. This is the least I can do.

Here, here, let`s drink to His Majesty the Emperor for his generously granting this request!

Long Live The Emperor!

What`s that you got there?

-It`s none of you business! -Poor Bastards...

Who wants to work on a day like this?

It`s stiffling.

-Have another drink, sire. -Yes, yes.

Yes, that`s enough.

-By the way where is that girl? -That girl?

That girl geumlan. (Xue Rengui)

Oh my, your mind is somewhere else tonight. (Auhong)

Huh? No,no...

I`m afraid Geumlan doesn`t serve drinks.

The general`s wish is your command!

Bring the wench at once! (Hongpei)

No, no, Hongpei.

Whether you serve a master or serve a man it has to come from the heart.

General...

a man name Wang Chun sent this box for you, sir.

Wang Chun?

Who is Wang Chun?

What`s going on?

-That idiot must`ve sent the rest of the money here. -That fool!

Wang Chun?

I don`t know anyone by that name.

I know him, general.

Oh, do you?

He is a wealthy merchant from Tang. Perhaps he sent a contribution for the bride and grom.

A contribution? Open the box.

It must be a hefty sum judging by the weight.

It`s his head. It`s Wang Chun`s head!

What in heaven`s name!

-General, look! -What is that?

-It`s-it`s a hit list! -A hit list?

-It`s a list of men to be killed! -What are you talking about?

Who is going to kill whom?

Villains of the piece that caused the fall of Goguryeo!

We have drawn our swords of justice to remove the evil that brought darkness upon this land!

Evil names are noted on this list by command of the heavens, so listen carefully to their crimes and take this in earnest:

Once a powerful minister of Goguryeo, villainous official Bu Kiwon

betray the people and brought the regime`s collapse. Thereafter, he lined himself with Tang and continued evil acts upon his people.

Thus death does not begin to do justice to his crimes

Sa Bugu was a martial general whose sworn duty was to protect the state, but he turned his sword on his own people

And murdered General Yang Manchun hastening the fall of Goguryeo.

Wicked priest Shin Sung opened the gates of Pyongyang Fort for the enemy.

Thus his crime is also deserving of a hundred deaths.

Goguryeo has never done any harm to the Khitans, but Li Jinzhong, Sun Wanrong and Li Kaigu

joined the Tang Chinese and led the invasion against Goguryeo.

It is bitter lament that despite their failure to protect the state, King Bojang and traitor Yeon Namseng continue.

To carry on their pathetic lives by kowtowing to the Imperial court of Tang.

Lastly, the principal offender of the war crime against Goguryeo protectorate General of Andong Xue Rengui and his henchman Hongpei will be killed and eliminated without fail.

This list is heaven`s decree,

and we are messengers of death sent to punish your crimes, so remember the name Dongmyoungchun League.

Messengers of death.... Dongmyoungchun League....?

Who are these audacious bastards? Who are they?

What the....

Joyoung! Joyoung!

It worked,

They scuttled out of Tsui Sing Lau like scared rats.

Good.

Li Kaigu and Chulin are staying the night here tonight.

-I`ll kidnap Chulin and bring her to you. -I don`t want to talk about Chulin again.

We must focus our energy on killing off our enemy.

-Joyoung... -Leave me alone.

I`m going to take a walk.

Can`t fall asleep?

I`m enjoying the moonlight.

I heard about your relationship with the bride and the groom.

The bride is pregnant I`m told.

Pregnant?

She is with a child?

The rumor is that`s why they had to rush the wedding.

I thought the information mught help you put the past behind.

Are you all right?

I`m fine.

Go ahead and go inside. I think I`ll enjoy the moon a while longer.

Very well.

Chulin, are you asleep?

We will soon be leaving for Yingzhou. That`s where you will give birth and raise the chiled.

I can`t believe I `m going to have a family. Me, orphan Li Kaigu...

You`re giving me such a precious gift...

Chulin, don`t worry about a thing. Everything will work out just fine.

I will protect you and the child.

LI Kaigu will soon be going back to Yingzhou.

So general Sa Bugu will assume his duty as chief of security.

I will not let you down, sir.

Your top priority is ferret out the Dongmyoungchun League.

Impose a curfew and increase street patrols, and don`t let them set foot into Liaodong Fort!

Of course, sir.

Audacious bastards...

How dare they blatantly challenge Xue Rengui! It makes my blood boil just to think about them!

Let`s go!

They must`ve known about our plans to sell the slaves. (Shin Sung)

What do you mean?

Why would they kill Wang Chun of all people? They sent his head as a warning to us.

Then their target is.... (Bu Kiwon)

Most likely us.

Then what do we do?

Shouldn`t we stop our slave trading operation for now.

No, that`s exactly what they want us to do. (Sa Bugu)

We must push foward with it with greater force. I will find other slave traders we can deal with.

-But Dongmyoungchun League is after our heads! -I can take care of them!

If they come after us, that will be my chance to wipe out these rogues!

Very well.

I`m counting on you so don`t let me down.

Just refrain from trips outside for awhile.

I`ll find the bastards and get rid of them.

Please! Please have mecy!

I don`t need shriveled old men. I want the young and strong!

The protectorate is coming down on the people more viciously than ever.

Bastards!

We have to get rid of Sa Bugu first.

Rumors has it he is looking for other slave traders to deal with.

He`s resumed his smuggling operation?

Yes.

We might get the chance to kill him very soon (Mimosa)

I`ll leave that th you, Mimosa. We will continue eliminating Tang officials that are not on the list for now.

We will make the Tang court tremble with fear at the mere mention of Dongmyoungchun League.

What are you looking at you bastards!

You lowly scumbags! Get out of here!

I`m told a number of high officials have already been eliminated.

They`ve impose a curfew and tha whole city is trembling in fear.

A secret suicide squad punishing those directly responsible for the country`s fall.. (Dae Jungsang: Dae Joyoung`s Father)

His Majesty made a bold move.

A sword for a sword and blood for blood, he said. Just a thought piercing their heart with my sword brings me relief.

But we can`t rely on a small suicide squad forever.

While Joyoung is doing his job eliminating the source os evil, we have to build an army and build our strength.

Yes, of course.

We already have a good number of men from the area that have joined us. (Jang Sanhae)

Dolbal and Mu Yeom I`d like you to train them. Transform them into an elite paramilitary force that will assist Dongmyoungchun League.

-Yes, general. -We will, brother.

A new battle is beginning.

And our job is to be a strong reinforcement for the league.

(Chang`an, Tang)

-Andong Protectorate is trying is best, Your Majesty. -I`m sure Dongmyoungchu League will soon be exposed.

How soon is soon?

The officials of the protectorate are dying as we speak! (Li Zhi:Emperor of Tang)

Your Majesty,

soon there will be no one left to run the protectorate unless something is done from our level. (Zhao wenhui)

But no one wants to be sent to Andong Protectorate right now.

That`s right.

Our officials are being murdered in broad daylight in Liaodong. They are afraid of the league in daytime.

-and afraid of the spirit of the dead at night. -Stop!

What does General Xue Rengui have to say about this?

He wants no assistance and assures us that the protectorate will resolve the matter on its own.

Resolve the matter on its own? The problem is getting worse!

I want you to take care of this.

Who among you will go to the protectorate?

Anyone?

Is it true that you refused to go to Andong Protectorate on account of me?

I can`t leave you in your ailing condition, Uncle.

We all grow old, sick and die. That`s the law of nature.

Don`t worry about me and go to Liaodong. You must redress the humiliation that Xue Rengui made you suffer.

You still have work to do, Uncle. (Li wen)

You must get well.

No, I have done all I can.

The foundation of the state is solid, so now it`s up to you to make our culture flourish.

Uncle...

Wen, listen closely to what I am about to tell you.

Our founding fathers build this land with their blood and sweat.

But in the process of subjugating our nieghbors, too many barbarians have been included.

As the world changes,

tradition and heritage must be protected

You must preserve the clan`s pride and keep Xue Rengui and the Khitans at bay.

Do you understand?

I understand, uncle.

I`m glad I have you, Wen.

How come!

We still don`t have a clue as to who these people are!

I`ve increased security, and tightened inspections at the city gate,

but the murders have not ceased (Sa Bugu) (Bu Kiwon)

-This means that they are base inside the city. -But we have searched every inch of the fort.

There is one place you haven`t searched. (Shin Sung)

Where is that?

Have you investigated Tsui Sing Lau?

Tsui Sing Lau?

But Tsui Sing Lau is one of the biggest supporters of the protectorate.

Mimosa, the owner of Tsui Sing Lau, is from Beakje. Beakje also fell in the hands of Tang, so it`s possible he harbors a grudge.

You have a point.

General, we may be standing too close to see the whole picture.

Take the troops at once! Search every inch of Tsui Sing Lau!

Yes, General! I will follow your order.

-What brings you here, general. -i need to take a look around your place.

But we have guest. Won`t you come back another time?

Don`t you get what`s going on?

We`re trying to expose Dongmyoungchun League.

And you think I am a part of this league? (Mimosa)

If you don`t cooperate, there will be serious consequences.

May I speak to you alone?

There are men here who wish to see you.

What are you talking about? Who wants to see me?

Slave traders from Tang.

You asked me the other day if I could hook you up.

How many are there?

Six very wealthy merchant barons. If you play this well, you`ll be a rich man in no time.

Please call your men off. I have to make a living, too.

-Dohyeonp! -Yes, general.

-Round up the troops and wait outside. What...?Yes, sir, Let`s go!

This way.

This is General Sa Bugu.

Please sit down.

It`s a pleasure to meet such a distinguished general.

What can I do for you gentlement?

Let us have a drink first.

Have a pleasant conversation

Allow me to pour for you.

My hunch was right, Sa Bugu is here with his men.

What? Then we better gey out of here now!

The situation is under control, so don`t worry.

It`s time to start crossing out the names on the hit list.

-Sa Bugu will go first. -Yes, of course.

But a shocking event will take place very soon.

Are you planning something?

I will let you know in about it in due time.

Hey! My brother Joyoung is the leader of this League. You`re not doing anything without his approval!

I have shosen King Bojang as my master. I am not here to take orders from general Dae Joyoung.

-What did you say? -That`s enough!

We are comrades with one goal. If what ever you`re planning is for the people.

I have no reason to stop you.

Sa Bugu will be visiting us frequently for a while. You will need to stay in the brewery.

I don`t like that man.

What does he think he is? Our boss? Cocky bastard!

He`s a man of extraordinary talents.

I don`t know what hes planning, but I`m eager to find out.

-General, it`s Gulsabiwu. -Come in.

Sit down.

I couldn`t sleep, so I thought we might have a chat.

Drink.

Who do you think is behind Dongmyoungchun League?

A man is not made in day, (Xue Rengui)

A man that can orchestrate such bold and meticulous work has to be someone you or I know.

I want to hear your opinion. Who do you think is leading this group?

Deeper the well, (Gulsabiwu)

the longer it takes for it to dry out.

A deep well...

Yes, Goguryeo was a thousand years old regime, so if it were a well, it would be quite deep.

A new man rising over the graves of Gom Mojam and Dae Joyoung?

I supposse it is possible.

More than anything,

I`m glad and proud that you are not involved.

When Dongmyoungchun League first reared its ugly head, I thought for certain that you would leave me.

But you are still here, which assures me that I don`t have to worry about you anymore.

Here, take it. it`s my special gift to you.

To a warrior, his sword is his heart. It`s a token of my trust from my heart, so keep it near your heart.

I don`t deserve this.

I have never given anyone my sword before.

But who says only subordinates are supposed to show layalty to their superioe? I am returning your layalty with trust.

Over here!

There may not be a chance to talk once you leave for Yinzhou, so I had to see you tonight.

If this is about my baby, forget about it.

I will be in Yinzhou when the baby is about due.

You`ll be wasting your time.

The only reason why I stayed here is because of the baby.

I`ve come too far to turn back.

Have a safe trip.

I`ll see you in Yingzhou.

Until now, I have thoroughly hidden you from the world and protected you.

But now I need you to step to the fore for me.

Will you do as I ask?

Will you obey my order?

My life is yours, master. (Geumlan)

This could be treacherous work hard for a women to bear.

I am not a women, I am Geumlan.

What do you mean, Mimosa has gone to Andong Protectorate?

He took that girl Geumlan with him.

Mimosa`s secret plan.... Could be.....!

I am a busy man, so make this brief.

Not long ago, General Sa Bugu came to my establishment his men.

And?

Tsui Sing Lau is a gisaeng house where men come to drink and relax.

How can I conduct business with armed guards showing off their shiny swords?

General Sa Bugu is the chief of security. I am not in a position to tell him what to do.

Tsui Sing Lau has made generous contributions to the protectorate without asking for anything in return.

If you can`t do a simple favor for us....

I know, I know.

But the protectorate is under a lot of pressure because of Dongmyoungchun League.

I`m busy now, so let me get back to work.

Then I will just leave the gift I`ve come to give you.

I don`t need your gift, I tell you!

-Come in. -Mimosa!

General, perhaps you should reconsider that last statement.

She was not raised as a gisaeng but an artis. She can`t speak,

but I`m confident you will find her service satifactory.

What...do you want from me?

I just want to be able to conduct my business without fear.

That is all.

Geumlan, was it?

There`s something mysterious about her. Something very mysterious....

You can fool the others but you can`t fool me.

What is this? I am merely trying to run my business and make profit.

No, you`re trying to evade suspicion.

Suspicion?

You are part of Dongmyoungchun League... Aren`t you?

What are you trying to get out of me?

Who is the leader of Dongmyoungchun League?

It can`t be just anybody.

Stop barking up the wrong tree. Goodbye.

I will expose Dongmyoungchun League myself.

Remember.

You will have to kill me first before anyone else.

And to do that,

your leader will have to show up in person before me.

Stop!

What`s in the cart?

You ask me the same question every single day! We`re delivering wine to Tsui Sing Lau!

You`re welcome to look inside.

-Pass! -Pass! Pass! Let`s go!

Who`s that?

Brought to you by:robster38
