Episode 40.

Princess! Although I lied to you,

I know that you've looked after us.

So I gave you my sincere.

To open the reign of the King,

I will dedicate my loyalty with you, Princess.

But the order that your heart was stolen by me,

I cannot accept it.

That I cannot help myself.

I and Jin Gakyung,

Truly truly...

You don't...

You don't have to love me.

The most important thing is that I can't harm you.

So what I'm left with is

To marry you.

Princess!

The reason is

You!

You...

How could Dalsol come here?

The King just passed away.

What?

Is that, is that true?

Yes! So I came to escort you.

Lord!

She's leaving now. Escort her with respect!

Yes!

What are you doing?

We have unfinished business.

What about Eunsol? Is Eunsol following me!

Well, I'm not certain!

Stop it now! Stop!

I was ordered not to stop.

Stop it! Stop it now! I told you to stop!

You stupid! I told you to stop it!

What do you want to know?

Don't speak before I ask you.

Where is the 4th son?

Where is he?

- He passed away. - At where?

Where you assassinated the lord and massacred people.

Where is the 4th son?

He passed away.

You can fool the Princess but not me.

You and the doctor will rather die with the Royal Seal.

You wouldn't conspire with the Princess.

If you only think us as in Haneuljae.

But we were betrayed by you,

we lost the Prince Aja and the lord

and the Prince Mookang.

Now if we can destruct the general,

we can even collaborate with the evil.

Where is the 4th son!

You killed him, you did!

What?

I won't go with you any more.

We're almost there.

Tell me! We've came to south for long time.

What's going on? It's not yours, is it?

Doctor!

The lord...

The lord passed away.

What?

Military police is looking for you.

Then you knew about this and tried to evacuate me?

Yes!

No, you can't go!

I must go!

I have things to do.

If it's for Jang, I already told merchant Jin

to get Jang.

So Jang will evacuate safely. Please don't worry.

So please! Please leave with me.

Doctor, please!

It's because of Jang but it's not because of him.

It's because of Jang but it's not because of him?

What do you mean?

Is it because he's Yeon Gamo's son?

It's actually...

Actually what? What is it?

You're mean.

If you're mean like this, just kill me and go!

Mojin!

Doctor, please. It's once in my life.

Just once, once do as I say.

I'm not telling you to love me.

Just stay alive for me.

A boat will come at sunrise.

Change the boat in Sangdaepo and go to Silla.

Forget about everything.

Taehaksa and your loyalty

Jang and...

Yeon Gamo.

- How did it go? - She wasn't at the Nosaji office.

Then, where did she go?

She will come because of King's death.

Go to the palace and check if she comes.

- Yes. - Yes.

I finish the verification of King's death.

This is 19th layer of shroud. This is the last one.

It's custom to do coronation in between 3 to 5 days in mourning.

Which one should I do?

- Do it 3 days later. - Yes.

The coffin process is over, please move it to mortuary.

Isn't Wooyoung here yet?

Yes, message is arrived so she will be here soon.

She wasn't at the Nosaji office.

What? Not there? Where could she be!

I still... couldn't figure it out.

Lord!

Lord!

- Lord! Lord! - Wooyoung!

What shall we do, Wooyoung!

- Lord! Lord!

Lord! Wooyoung is here.

What shall we do, Wooyoung!

Lord! Lord! Wooyoung is here.

Can you hear me? Can you hear me, lord?

Lord!

- Where is he? - She was in the Royal villa.

- What? Royal villa? - Yes.

How about Dalsol?

He's there to question Eunsol.

Should I go?

Don't worry!

Tell me!

Where is the 4th son? Where are his soldiers?

Tell me! Where is he? Where is 4th son and soldiers?

You killed him. General killed him!

No! No!

You came to palace with only vengeance?

Are you telling me to believe that?

Because of your vengeance,

You can dismiss now!

Yes!

For your vengeance, you dragged Princess Sunhwa into this?

Does it make sense to you?

You guys love to death, but you did it to her?

- Does it make sense? - It doesn't!

But she would do anything for what I do.

Because of me! Because I do it!

She will! She will do it!

You don't get it, do you? You don't get it?

That's not true! People are the same.

Even if people are in love, nobody wants to run into flame!

Surely, surely there must be another reason.

Jang didn't come but Princess did.

Pardon? How about duke Seodong?

Jang is no where to be seen?

What about Heuk? Did he come?

Yes!

The problem is that Giroo is gone.

- Since when? - For a few days.

Heuk Chipyung missed itjust like us. It must be him.

It's certain it's him!

Do you where they might be?

What do we do now?

It's in the middle of mourning,

you two please contact Princess Wooyoung.

That would be the fastest way.

- Yes, let's go. - Yes.

We should change the mountain.

Please inform to guard Wanggoo.

Yes!

I'll go and see Kim Saheum.

General will become the king now.

You don't know how they'll react.

But I still need to see him.

What brought you here?

Where is it? Where did you arrest him?

What are you saying?

When I abandoned my identity, I abandoned the fear!

You'd know reasons of what and who.

I know, I know very well.

And I know the man who general trusts

is my son, Doham.

It's enough he's a Silla person.

That will collapse him in one day.

Tell Doham,

if anything happens to my man,

I'll cut his life off that day!

Remove it.

How do you do? I'm a trainee from Taehaksa.

I have to Princess for funeral matter.

Princess is at the Queen's palace.

- Queen's palace? - Yes.

We should go there.

Thank you.

The coronation will be held tomorrow.

Would he do something to this young?

It'll be alright.

It'll be just fine, don't worry.

Will it be ok?

They shed too much blood already.

They won't do anything.

You say that but you don't look like it.

If I knew it'd happen, I'd hand over the Seal and necklace.

Seoli, come in!

Who's out there?

Soldiers are guarding the Queen's palace.

Deliver this message to Jin immediately.

Make any excuses to deliver it.

Yes!

What is it?

What if you get suspected and look for Jin Gakyung?

Eunsol is arrested in the Royal villa.

Eunsol is not important!

No, you mustn't stimulate Sun!

Bring back Seoli!

- What are you doing! - Go in!

Go in!

What is it!

How rude are you! Where do you think you came in!

It's the general's order who will become the King tomorrow!

You cannot move one step from today.

I'm the Queen who will deliver the Seal and script tomorrow!

That's why we're protecting you, come in!

These people will prepare the coronation.

Make it luxurious as you can! Understood?

- Yes. - Yes.

- What do we do? - We're trapped.

Do something!

- How do I? - Then what?

Why did Woosoo go there?

Woosoo?

What happened?

Princess's trapped in Queen's palace. Nobody can approach.

What about Dalsol Giroo?

I asked a friend in Internal affair but nobody knows anything.

I think I got to disguise and go into military police.

No, guard is very strict that nothing goes in.

She'll be attended in the coronation.

You mean Princess Wooyoung?

Yes, she will attend it.

I think there is a way.

Is it true?

- How? - Well...

Let me ask you one thing.

Let's say I stole the Princess,

No, let me rephrase it.

Let's think about If I stole your throne of Silla.

Did you want to do something on the throne?

Shut up.

To enthrone general Bu Yeosun,

and be his assistant. Did you want to achieve something?

I told you to shut up!

Please...

Please I hope you have one.

If you don't, I hope you can find it now.

You massacred people to get there but if you don't have one.

Wouldn't it be too vain?

I'm being honest.

You know the foundation of Empire is written as people?

That's a lie.

That's called appearance.

It's appearance that people to follow the King well,

when they only put on it, they are people of King.

When people takes it off, they are the enemy!

Massacring people isn't a great thing to do,

but it's not something I can't do.

I got rid of people who will turn into enemies.

Are you Giroo that I used to know?

Or are you rationalizing the evil deed as you committed?

Anyway you're the first gift I dedicate,

for the general who will become the King.

I'm sorry, Mojin.

I should've accepted your heart but I didn't allow it after all.

Is it because of Yeon Gamo?

Jang is, Jang is the Prince Mookang, the son of Yeon Gamo.

But I couldn't tell you this.

Are you doing this because of her?

I can't tell you that I will put my life on her son

or to put your life on him.

You're harsh, you're really harsh.

So live without knowing this.

Just like I'd lived to grudge Yeon Gamo,

you live to grudge me.

I'll grudge you.

Do that.

I'll forget you.

Yes, please do that.

It'll be better for you to do so,

I thought you couldn't forget or grudge like me,

I'm worried about you.

Eunsol of military police is here.

Come in!

The preparation of coronation is done. Let's go.

I see!

We'll take care of the Seal and script.

Yes, do that.

We will escort them.

Dress yourself and come to the hall!

Yes!

They're Jang and the doctor. Will you let them die?

What if we get busted? We won't be safe.

Please Woosoo, once. Help us just once.

You can just switch the shift, nothing complicated.

Please Woosoo! Help us just once!

Queen is handing over the Royal Seal to descent.

Praise the lord!

Praise the lord!

Praise the lord!

This is the Princess Wooyoung!

Please show your respect towards King.

Please live for 1000 years, lord.

Where is Jang?

Ma'am Jin sent me here.

It's the Royal villa.

This is the Prince Woochi!

Please show your respect towards King.

Please live for 1000 years, lord.

Where are you going?

I'm a trainee of Princess's clothes.

Princess seems to have headache.

I'm going to get the medicine.

- Off you go! - Yes!

There! There!

It's the Royal villa! Hurry now! Hurry!

Premier Hae Dojoo!

Executive Sa Dokwang!

Manager Heuk Chisangjo!

Secretary Hae Seohyun.

Gene... general

Sataek Giroo!

Imperial Guard Heuk Chipyung.

Followings are the new selected people.

Many things has happened.

And I know it caused many troubles

in between many nobles and officials.

And I will conceal everything.

But one thing!

The cause of disorder was the 4th son,

I will find the truth about it!

So uphold my order!

Yes, lord!

Doesn't he have to fix the 4th son matter with Princess?

That's right!

But why does he want to mention it again?

Doesn't he want to grab us?

If we revolt, the 4th son will be used as the weapon.

Then, what shall we do?

We must avoid rain, when it rains.

Let's just wait, rain will eventually stop.

- Are you disappointed? - No, no.

General commands forces and it's attractive.

And it fits your character,

but the closest, Imperial guard has to be you.

You have to guard right next to me,

so I can relax and do my things.

I'm pleased.

Since general is not here,

he didn't get the answer yet.

It seems like it.

Message general and bring him.

Yes!

What would you do about Queen Hae and Princess?

Bastard! He hasn't visited me yet.

He's not here!

- How about there? - No!

He's not here.

I don't think he's in the villa.

Then did they move him already?

What's the matter?

Jin Gakyung came to your father's store.

Sir told you not to be compulsive.

I see, let's go!

He's nowhere to be seen?

Nothing would have happened to him.

Where is he? Where?

Nothing really happened to him? Are you sure he's alive?

Giroo can't decide by himself.

So he might head to the palace.

Let's go to the palace now.

- Now! - Yes.

I'll chase him with good horse riders.

We can catch him!

Yes, run fast! You must get him out!

I can't wait here. I should've gone with him.

We'll be burden for them.

I even learned how to shoot an arrow.

I can be a strength.

Really?

Can I help you?

Is this Jin Gakyung's store?

Yes, what do you need?

Someone wants to deliver this letter.

What happened to all? How's the situation?

- We don't know now. - You don't know?

After Eunsol went to the mountain with Princess, he's missing.

But the Princess's guard told that they're in Nosaji office.

So Seochung went there but they weren't there.

After that, Princess returned to the palace by herself.

- Then? - But Eunjin hardly and hardly

found out that Sir Eunsol is in Royal villa.

So everyone went to villa immediately.

Does it mean Jang was arrested?

Yes, It seems that Dalsol Giroo is holding him.

- Giroo? - Yes!

I have to go to the villa as well.

What if you miss each other on the way?

If we do, I'll come back. Tell him that!

Stop it!

Is this Jang? It's Jang, right?

Let him go. Please don't kill Jang.

How did you two become like this?

You asked us to achknowledge Jang in Haneuljae.

What's the reason to kill him?

Even if you had greed for power, why are you doing this?

Didn't you know this would happen?

It is obvious that I achknolwedged him when no one did.

And it was me who I gave him the motivation.

But I didn't know anything about him.

Who recklessly challenged my goal is Jang.

This supposed to happen.

Jang saved you when you came to Baekjae!

Just think you're repaying him...

Please let him go just once!

He saved me?

He killed me then.

Giroo! Giroo!

- Get him now! - Yes!

Giroo!

Giroo! Giroo!

Doctor! Run now. Is duke Seodong alright?

- Are you ok, general? - What?

Lord conferred you as the general.

Please get on the carriage. Lord is waiting for you.

I got it!

Please run, doctor! Doctor!

Mok Rasoo is running! Get him now!

Let's go!

Eunsol, what happened to Eunsol?

Did Jin get him out of there?

Lady Jin, Seochung is over there!

Seochung! Are you alright?

I'm sorry. The doctor has escaped...

He came back?

Yes, fortunately he bought some time.

Finally duke Seodong was taken to the palace?

Yes!

Lord! I, Giroo, couldn't make it on your coronation!

Please punish me!

What's the importance of the coronation?

Your mission for me is more important!

So I conferred you as the general!

Lord! I'm very pleased!

General, make the strongest Baekjae force!

I'm counting on you.

I'm pleased, lord!

I truly congratulate you, lord!

After your greeting,

I truly feel that I'm the King now.

Right, did Jang say about 4th son?

King Wieduk was at the market

where he died.

Can you believe that?

He handed over 4th son's head and necklace to Princess.

Right, Wooyoung had the necklace.

Yes, lord!

Didn't Princess come to you yet?

We'll see

What? Eunsol was arrested and brought here?

Yes!

What's the big deal that Eunsol is arrested?

And look at us now.

If he was arrested, we can't use his soldiers?

We have nowhere to turn to. Decide now.

Go to the King's palace and swear the true loyalty.

Tell him you'll marry Giroo.

What? Prince was taken to the palace?

- Yes! - What do we need to do?

We do we need to do?

We must break the jail now.

Prince is in the jail, I can't stay here like this!

Did you move all soldiers from the mountain?

I did that. They're waiting.

Good job!

But where is lady Jin?

She has someone to meet urgently.

Come with me.

Please let him go.

Wasn't your goal me? Wasn't your vengeance toward me?

So let Jang go!

Then what can you provide me?

I'll give you me.

It's too late.

After my family was destroyed and I came from Silla,

I clearly said to you.

If you follow me, I'll forgive everything.

It's too late now.

You give me you?

I will steal you!

You're talking about the marriage,

but being my wife is too much.

I will make you as my servant!

That's what I called revenge.

For this, I stepped forward on betrayal,

and I stepped on disgrace.

But you tried to turn me around for that.

What do I need to do? Please let him go, let him go!

If you do that, I will do anything for you. Anything!

Let him go, let him go!

Let him go.

I'm so upset!

Lady.

Chogi!

Please get up.

Why are you doing this?

If the palace knows this...

What's so important about that!

If I need to down on my knees to do so, I can do anything.

Lady!

I have to save him. He has to be alive!

I'll go and see the King.

Is there a solution?

Let me see the King.

Yes, let's go!

Princess Wooyoung is here.

Let her in!

What do you need?

What is it?

It's symbol of my loyalty.

This is the necklace and the map of mountain.

Lord! I made a reckless sin.

Please forgive a fool like me.

The 4th son is already dead.

I checked with my own eyes.

I fostered private soldiers,

But it wasn't for the treason.

How can I have treason against you?

After King passes away, I was worried about me and mother,

So I wanted to have my own power.

I was just afraid. Please understand my situation.

Yes, I understand you.

You could be afraid of me.

But without a word, you secretly colluded Jang and Mok

and brought them back, I can't forgive you that.

Lord! It's a sin that I didn't discuss with you.

But we had pressure from the nobles.

Also bringing them back here,

I still think it was a good decision.

What?

This is the national policy they built.

They are from Taehaksa,

I know them better than you.

If I wanted to have my own authority,

Why would be them?

They have talent and capacity but they don't know politics.

Nor power or strong family to support them.

I just wanted to use their talent

to support King's reign.

This is true loyalty that I wanted to use good talented people.

They'll be useful for your reign.

I'm telling the truth, lord!

I got it. You can leave now.

Arrest all private soldiers!

Yes!

Jang and Mok Rasoo,

You can't go anywhere else.

Please walk up to the Queen's place.

Has everything prepared well?

There mustn't be a little error.

Our aim is right over there!

Aren't you hungry? Please have this.

Alright, just for a minute!

Thank you!

Jang? Are you ok?

What about doctor? What about my lady?

They're all safe! You're worried.

Explosion will be occurred!

Explosion?

You have taught some time ago, right?

Cut the rope with it. I'll open it after the explosion.

Is everyone alright? Did you check them?

They're all ok.

Why don't they start it?

Tell my lady that I'm fine.

I don't even have scratches and I don't die easily.

So don't worry about me.

Dad! Throw it high over there.

Alright!

Shoot it! Shoot it!

Why doesn't it explode?

Huh? It should explode, maybe I missed something.

You got to go now.

I still have...

No more!

Eunjin! Tell her that please.

- Yes. - Let's go!

You stupid!

What happened?

What happened!

I'm stupid that I trusted you.

Bumro! You really...

Do you know how Jang looks now? He looks so miserable!

I'm sorry! What went wrong?

I've born this idiot as my child,

I even fed you all those luxurious foods.

Bumro! Please!

Aren't you worried about them?

Aren't you even worry what the doctor went through?

Jang might die like that.

Mom! They're Jang and the doctor!

I understand how you feel about Jang.

But how can you do this?

How can you do this to the doctor?

You've lived your life for him.

Why on earth now? Why now?

It's fortunate that I stopped now.

Mom!

I'll move to Imgok.

Private soldiers need to be dispatched.

I thought about breaking the jail, and it's impossible.

Before get into the jail, we'll be killed by military police.

Still we need to give it a try!

The Prince's life is depended on this.

If it's treason, they might execute him at the market.

What about we strike them then?

It's now always like that.

After executed at the palace and just hang it at the market.

I can't do this. I got to see him again.

Again? Who?

Don't even think about begging me.

I won't beg.

I made a decision.

I will reveal my identity.

You've seen me so you'd know well.

I was abandoned by palace and came to Baekjae

And even bent on my knees to you.

So for this love, I will sacrifice myself to it.

Even if I die, I will save him.

The moment Jang dies, I will reveal you and my identities

to the King.

Like you said I was too foolish.

If I can't have the love, I'm rather to be dead.

I'd rather confess myself.

Doham! You mustn't do that!

It has been and it will be a too big fetter to us.

This could kill me.

We could be killed or forgiven.

I don't think so.

Now I'm not even a spy from Silla.

And you're not an official of Silla.

We still have a half hope.

If we fear the half of despair, Jang will be saved.

And he will stand in my way.

Doham! Think deeply.

I will believe in you, lord.

He's already the King,

he might need us who used to be the nobles of Silla.

But still, it's not easy.

Father, you need to hide yourself first.

Please speak out.

Lord! General is here.

Come in!

Please go in.

Welcome.

Lord! I have things to tell you.

Yes, what is it?

You can say it.

Lord!

It's so unlike you. What is it? Tell me.

Lord!

Lord!

Lord! Mok Rasoo is captured!

Really?

Bring Jang and Mok Rasoo to the court!

Yes!

What will you do?

I have to find out whether the 4th son is dead for last time.

Do you have an idea?

Yes, do as I say.

Doctor!

Jang!

General, start it now!

Yes!

Kill Dr. Mok Rasoo with your hands!

Kill Dr. Mok Rasoo!
