Episode 38.

Should I call her?

No, let's go.

I knew he tried to alienate us, I was almost fooled.

Let's go back!

I'll escort her, you do what you have been doing.

Yes!

- You go first. - Yes.

It was true.

Shall we go?

- Chase them! - Yes.

I think they're securing it proerly, you need to do it quietly.

Yes.

It was true, it was true!

Did guard Wanggoo say he'd come here?

Yes.

Are you still here?

I was checking the journal.

I checked it. Go home, it's late.

I'm not used to this, I want to learn it.

Don't try to entrap me.

I trust Jang and Dr. Mok.

They won't use invisible trick.

Also, I knew they escorted King and tried to enthrone 4th son,

and I accepted them.

Yes, if that's what you think, I have nothing to say.

Trust them.

Yes, you can't split us with that shallow idea.

Don't ever touch my nerve with that alienation!

Yes, I won't!

He's late than I thought.

We can't wait like this.

If he doesn't come after half an hour,

we were pledged not to wait for each other.

We have to move.

Let's spilt up.

But, will you be alright by yourself?

Yes, it's the rule for all our security, we have to follow it.

I'll go this way, you go that way.

Yes!

I'm here.

Why didn't you come to the residence?

Someone was watching me. What happened?

He must be sent by Abigi.

Is Prince safe?

We splited up.

- Splited? - Yes!

So I just followed Sir Eunsol,

he went straight to Taehaksa.

- Did you notice any strange thing? - No.

- I see, off you go. - Yes.

She requested to foster private soldiers?

Yes!

I must move faster than I thought.

Yes, how many can you recruit?

About 500 more.

Please do that and we won't use this residence again.

I'll choose another one to contact you.

I got it!

Lord! General is here.

Let him in!

What's your business?

Are you sick?

I feel cold so I called him.

Why are you calling the private doctor?

Taehaksa has good doctors.

Let them treat you.

He's comfortable with it.

He treated us generation after generation.

Lord! Your body does not belong to you any more.

I beg you to let our doctors to treat you.

Can't you trust me!

It's not like that.

I'm very tired! Dismiss now.

Lord! Queen! I'm deeply sorry!

I was compulsive.

I made a foolish decision

and I made you uncomfortable.

Now I made you misinterpret

my sincere anxiety for your health.

Lord! Please tell me anything!

If you tell me to go to Japan, I'll go.

If you tell me to go to a war, I'll do it.

If you confine me in private residence, I'll follow it!

If I can clean my mistake and disobedience,

I'll follow anything!

Lord!

I'll reflect on myself again and again.

I'll observe your mean and observe it!

I got it. It's good that you understand me now.

Off you go.

Yes, lord.

Well done. That's the way of assistant.

Always step back behind him.

Don't try to step on him.

Be the foothold for him.

Sometimes be trailed and sometime lead him.

It's harder to be the great assistant than great leader.

But now you have to stand there.

Let us take care of everything...

You just engrave it in your heart.

Yes, I understand.

Thank you for allowing my propose.

No, I thank you.

You're the great assistant.

A man called Jang visited the merchant and I hid him.

I think I'll accept your proposal.

Please use my vengeance.

What's the reason?

What's the reason that you hid everything!

Sir Sa wanted to see you?

Yes, what do I do?

Meet him.

For the power, he's after Premier Hae.

He use his character to influence greatly.

He indicates the direction of authority, so he's still remained.

Go and meet him.

Jin Gakyung is here.

Let her in.

You can dismiss.

No, we're on the same boat anyway.

Let's discuss together, sit.

Have you found the site?

I'm thinking of forge flower villege behind Minsoojae.

First, foster 1,000 men.

Later, I will combine with my men.

Yes.

Who's the comman in chief?

The merchant is expert in military.

Really? I will supply funds and weapons.

Don't worry and don't poorly train them.

I can supply the fund.

Bring it in!

I can't burden you all.

I want to go myself

But many people have to come with me.

So Eunsol, you can go with her!

- Me? - Yes.

As I've seen their movement, they operated full security.

This time, make a plan. And don't fail it!

Yes!

Here you are.

Here you are.

It's alright. They are our people.

I made many precautions for in case.

- Yes. - Please go in.

Isn't he the guard Wanggoo?

If she supplies the fund,

we can collect 10,000 men.

Where do you recruit soldiers?

I have many merchants all over the regions.

They're gathering strong people secretly.

The owner has been prepararing it secretly,

it shouldn't be a problem.

But if there are too many people, it'll be exposed easily.

How about spliting soldiers?

Yes, the guard takes one side and captain takes another.

Yes!

How do they know?

What are you talking about?

You kind of knew it all.

Jang and Jin, how do they know each other?

It's done. I thought you'd believe them.

General is here.

I came to apologize to you.

Apologize?

In the process of our father becoming a King,

it's true that I intentionally excluded you and Queen.

It was my self complacent.

So I placed compulsive decision,

and I made an obstacle to enthrone our father!

And you'd be disappointed,

also Queen knows my temper,

so she'd have feared future.

I couldn't be your solid strength

and I made you worried. I'm sorry.

It's my lack of virtue.

But since father is the King,

there won't be any compulsion.

Although we have different mother, you're my sister.

Dr. Mok Rasoo is here.

Tell him to come later!

I called him.

Did you want to see me?

It's the same as Dr. Mok and Jang's lives.

There won't be any threat to you.

The enemy of yesterday becomes the friend of today,

The friend of yesterday becomes the enemy of today.

For Baekjae and for you,

I know they are essential people.

Who knows I may need them in the future.

Don't waver yourself.

Just like you wavered general,

They are trying to waver you.

Trust is like a plate.

If there's a little crack, it'll break on little impact.

Jang and I won't work for general.

Trust me.

Can I really trust you?

Yes.

Eunsol is here.

How did it go?

I decided a site in Minsoojae for now.

If numbers are grown, I'll split them to Neungsangol.

How do you supply weapons and foods?

Jin Gakyung will take care of supply.

She is the big help!

- Sa Dokwang? - Yes, he wanted to see me before.

He reached me today. Tell me about him please.

Even if he had chance to form a connection with Imperial.

He could've been the son in law of King,

And father in law of Prince Aja, but he avoided cleverly.

Why is that?

Being a relative of Imperial can be a strength,

But he knows it can be a trap as well.

He sees things far and long. Don't act, just watch him.

What? Private soldiers were prepared?

Yes!

- How many were there? - More than 500 roughly.

500? It mean they recruited before!

Yes, more surprisingly,

What?

The guard of King, Wanggoo was there.

I think he was commanding those soldiers.

Then, they used me.

- Arrest them, now! - Yes!

Wait!

Wait there!

Find out more. Jin Gakyung or the owner,

Do a complete search of all people come and go.

Yes!

Just like you wavered general,

they are trying to waver you.

Trust is like a plate.

If there's a little crack, it'll break on little impact.

I hope you were saying the truth.

- You, Jin Gakyung! - Yes.

- You, the merchant! - Yes.

- You, the steward! - Yes.

You write everyone who comes in and goes out.

- Yes. - Move it now!

Yes!

You were issued within royal relatives,

people said it's capacity. But I think it was foolish.

So people were interested in you, but I wasn't.

This is the same.

If you came to palace with the vengeance of King and Prince,

and chose the Princess.

You have no value to me.

Then, I have no value to you.

Do you?

But how did you persuade Dr. Mok Rasoo?

I'm curious.

He's never been persuaded even from Prince Aja.

He has the different character from me,

but his conduct is very similar to me.

That's what got me interested in you.

How did you persaude him?

Doctor is weak on my foolishness.

Really?

Your foolishness has something then.

- Gongja said, - Gongja said,

- The wiseman behave seriously. - The wiseman behave seriously.

- If you learn, you'll be calm. - If you learn, you'll be calm.

- Gongja said, - Gongja said,

Who is it!

I'm telling you to come out!

Were you hiding here?

We rather came to play.

Master! It's time to rest.

Yes, come back in half an hour.

Feel my pulse.

I ate a lot, but I don't feel like eaten.

I drink a lot, but I don't get drunken.

I think this is serious disease.

I know this sickness.

What is it?

Work! You played too much and energy was lost.

It feels so empty. And doctor kind of misses you.

You need to go back. The break is almost over.

You should have meal with us.

Why did you talk about doctor?

You fool! She wanted a fresh start with me,

why did you poke her?

You should never poke heart of woman and fire!

Still, she won't be disappointed.

Stupid! Tie a connection with me!

Stop it! I tried 10 years, and it never worked out!

What about you? You tried to tie up with Eunjin,

have you ever been tied up with her?

No! I still...

- Eunjin! What do you think? - Well, not really.

Hey! If you do this, I'll go out with Chogi.

I don't care! Do it!

But if you do that, it doesn't mean that you liked me.

I don't marry with that sort of man! I'm going.

What does she mean?

Approaching man is dirty, a leaver is bad.

Something like that.

What am I then?

I don't know.

- Have you inquired? - Yes!

Jin Gakyung is as you know.

She's a daughter of Sir Jin and debouched from Sangdaepo.

And she's from Soo so it' hard to get more information.

- The problem is... - Problem?

The merchant under Jin.

- What about him? - He met Jin at Sangdaepo.

So?

He rendered a huge merit in the battle and extempted execution.

- I know that. - Do you what crime he committed?

He's related in Yeon Jungkwon case.

Isn't it treason!

He and his 3 sons were killed with treason,

his soldiers and servants plotted revolt.

So he was one of them?

I think he is!

He has no name and is called 'captain'.

I think he's the captain among his soldiers.

Did you call me?

I have a question to ask.

A few years ago, do you remember the treason of Yeon?

Why?

Who was decisive witness of Yeon's crime?

Wasn't the merchant Jin Gunsoo from Soo?

Yes, the father of Jin Gakyung, Sir Jin was the one.

Then, they both have the deep grudge.

Nobody is alive.

But why do you ask?

Nothing, I meet her often so I had to know.

How could servant of Yeon Jungkwon?

What are you thinking?

I have things to talk to you.

What is it?

It's about Dr. Mok and Jang.

What about them?

As Mok recommended me to foster soldiers secretly,

so I entrusted it to Jin Gakyung.

That's great!

But did Sun find out about this?

No, I had a doubt so I investigated.

Guard Wanggoo was the commander of private soldiers.

What?

Already there are skillful soldiers.

What?

And the owner of Jin Gakyung's merchant

is the servant of Yeon who was cleaned up by Sir Hae.

The incident of my brother and Jin Gunsoo?

- Yes. - There is a plot.

- If it's their plot... - There's only one.

Perhaps, 4th son is alive?

Stop the foster and arrest them all!

But one thing is still mysterious.

What?

If 4th son is alive and all of them are using me,

and I can understand the merchant's loyalty for his master.

But the problem is relation of merchant and Jin.

The merchant is servant of Yeon and Jin is a daguther of Sir Jin.

- Then? - They are enemies.

But they manage the store together.

Plus Jin is the merchant from Soo.

It's weird for her to intruded in,

and she's dancing on the rope between me and brother.

I don't understand her behavior.

That's right!

What's her intention?

Isn't it better to reveal it before strike them?

Yes, they're hiding something.

What is it?

I found a new information.

- What is it? - The merchant of Soo, Jin Gunsoo is dead.

What? When?

- Is this true? - Yes.

I sent men to Sangdaepo,

and they heard it from Soo's merchant.

I see.

As I heard Sir Jin hasn't

Come to Baekjae for a few years.

I took care of a business of family Yeon in Wolangun.

Yeon Jungkwon, you mean?

He's been cautious after that so he couldn't come.

Will you manage here as a woman?

If you think that, I'm little disappointed.

Since I was a baby,

I followed my father every business place.

I didn't mean that way.

I meant wouldn't Sir Jin take a part of this?

Yes. He will put things on my hand.

Then he won't be coming to Baekjae any more?

He's focusing on a business in west,

and even he may have time to come, I won't make him to.

You guys are doing so much.

I have no break so it's little hard.

Don't you have a break? Do it slowly.

No, she has no time to call Bumro.

- What? - Ma'am!

Here you are.

- Let's go inside. - Yes.

Why did you come?

I was so busy, I wanted to feel the breeze.

I know, a day in palace seems to be a second.

Selecting people and soldiers are all firgured out.

So I need to inspect the trade.

Of course.

It should be beneficial for trade with Soo.

Commercial rights are big so return is different.

So I want to meet Sir Jin.

Can he come down to Baekjae once?

I'll give him a chance to meet the King.

He won't come back to Baekjae.

Is there a reason?

He already put his hands off the trade,

he wants to spend his life in the hometown.

Really? For my urgent request?

He's very stubborn.

Anyway I'll do my best for trade with Soo.

I see.

A daughter doesn't know father's death?

She's a fake! A fake!

- Did you come back? - Yes.

I'm arranging the documents. Please wait little.

Jang, Jang!

It's all done, let's walk to the royal palace.

Have you ever been betrayed?

Pardon?

I asked have you ever been betrayed.

I have.

You mean Giroo.

How did it feel?

Well, it felt like lumping my sincerity

and throwing it on my face.

It hurt more than stone.

Then, have you ever betrayed someone?

No.

I don't do that to who I gave my sincerity.

Right.

You're not like that.

Then...

You've never given me your sincerity.

You have never!

Who sent this?

This is a letter from general Bu Yeosun.

- General? - Yes, he wants to see you urgently.

What is it?

I told him about extending the store and give more return.

Isn't it about it?

- Where do you need to go? - To his residence.

- Seochung! Seochung! - Yes.

- I'm going to general's house. - Yes.

It's late, follow me.

Will you be ok?

You must be tired, go in and rest.

Yes.

What are you saying? She's not come yet?

I went in to check but she's not there.

And I don't see Seochung.

Perhaps she might go to mountain.

Didn't she get arrested by general?

What do we do?

I'll go to the mountain.

Bomyung, you go to palace and tell Jang!

- Yes. - Chogi, you go to general's house.

And find the situation.

It's cool.

Who opened the door.

Hey!

What's up? Nothing on the store?

- Something happened so I'm here. - Yeah? What thing?

Did my lady and guard Seochung come here last night?

Last night?

There wasn't any guests yesterday.

Really? Nobody came?

No.

Then when did general come in?

He didn't return from palace at all.

Really? Oh, gosh!

Were you here?

- Why? - What's going on?

Jang! We've a problem. Jin Gakyung is missing.

She went out last night and nobody heard from her.

What?

- Is it true? - Yes!

Lady Bomyung asked me to tell him urgently.

- Wasn't she in the mountain? - No, she didn't.

I thought soldiers were exposed but nothing happened.

Then, what's happening?

- Maybe? - Do you have a catch?

Yes! Please watch the general, doctor.

- Yes. - I'll watch the Abigi.

Yes!

What brought you here?

I have an urgent matter.

- Come in. - Yes.

What did you do?

What are you talking about?

Lady, what happened to lady?

I know you put Abigi to watch us.

What did you do? Why did you hide her?

You got me wrong. I don't know what you're talking about.

I have no reason to do so.

As you know, we're untouchable for each other.

Don't get me in trouble for your mistake.

Otherwise I won'tjust watch it.

This may be the feeling that you saw me.

Princess is looking for you.

- Really? - And Jang as well.

Go now, it felt very warlike.

But Princess asked you to come to residence.

Residence? That must be empty now?

I don't know. She wants you urgently!

We have to go. Find her please.

I see!

Residence? What's going on? Guys!

How can I help you?

Why did you want to see us here?

We were almost in trouble.

- Pardon? - What are you saying?

I made a mistake. I shouldn't have trusted her.

This woman is not Jin Gakyung!

What are you talking about?

Sir Jin Gunsoo is already dead.

What kind of daughter doesn't know her father's death!

You not only fooled me,

But I can't trust your existence at all.

So,

I'll get rid of you quietly.

Execute her now!

Yes!

Stop it!

What are you doing! Retreat your soldiers!

It's the order of Princess. Retreat your soldiers!

What are you doing?

Have you ever been betrayed?

I asked have you ever been betrayed.

How did it feel?

Then, have you ever betrayed someone?

Can I really trust you?

Captain!

Dismiss your soldiers and remove your swords.

Remove your swords!

Remove them!

Remove your swords and down your knees.

We committed a crime.

We couldn't tell you earlier.

Honestly, we escorted King at the abdication.

His soldiers escorted 4th son afterward.

But after losing the 4th Prince and the King,

we wanted to go back to palace.

But he wanted to foster soldiers continually

and plot to revolt.

He tried to persuade us but it didn't work.

Who is he?

I'm the son of Yeon Jungkwon, Yeon Kyunghoo.

You weren't his servant, but his son?

Yes, my servant saved me,

and died for me.

Then, those soldiers are

the soldiers that you fostered long time ago?

Yes, you'd know why I plot to revlot.

Yes.

It's persuasive.

Then? Who is this woman?

She disguised herself and as a merchant,

why did she plot to revolt where no profit can be gained?

Also you knew her long time ago.

Is she relevant to 4th son?

Did she tell you about 4th son?

No! That's not true!

- Yeah? - Yes.

What is it? Explain to me so I can understand it.

You can't tell because they're to enthrone 4th son.

The only reason you can't tell me is the 4th son!

Execute these traitors now!

Yes!

Princess!

She's a Silla woman!

What? A woman of Silla?

She is who I love!

As Giroo said about the benefit enemy,

she is the Silla woman.

She came to Baekjae because of me.

The only reason she is relevant in this dangerous road,

is I'm standing on this road.

This woman has nothing to do with this.

Please forgive us.

Please forgive us that

we didn't confess to you.

We were trying to persuade Sir Yeon Kyunghoo.

Yes, all of us will be your inferiors.

If Yeon's strength adds up to your strength,

it'll be profit to you.

Would he accept it?

Rehabilitate my father.

That's all I'm asking.

Let them go.

Yes!

Are you alright?

I'm alright.

Lean on me.

Would it really end like this?

We have to be more cautious.

But this isn't too bad.

Right, when Sir Yeon Jungkwon is rehabilitated,

we'll gain one noble authority.

Also you knew her long time ago.

If rehabiliation gets on surface, nobles will make a move.

You need to look carefully.

Yes.

Rather go back to Silla.

This is the beginning of danger.

So please go back.

Why?

Do you like Princess Wooyoung meanwhile?

What is that?

Women have intuition.

Princess!

Both of us can't do this.

Even if it's dangerous, I'll go with you, so you know.

Their hidden story is the love.

Love.

Love, love...

I never knew

I never knew...

I never knew

Princess! We've a problem. Lord is...

How is he?

Pain is getting stronger.

Like Sun said,

Taehaksa doctors should treat the lord.

Bring people who won't leak their words.

Yes.

You need to go to Lord's bedroom.

- Something happened? - King is sick.

Where is he sick?

You'll see, come with engineer Gomo.

How's the lord.

Tell me.

Did you know he had diabetes?

Diabetes?

I knew it.

But he's struggling more recently.

Is it complication?

I think he has the tumor already.

Also, other disease seemed to be added due to blood loss.

Other disease?

Recently his arms and legs must be sored,

and his calves must have hurt.

He did.

Then, it wasn't simple symptoms?

That's right.

Diabetess is dangerous because it outbreaks other disease.

Now it anything grazes him,

he will appeal his pain.

What do we do?

I can't use acupunture now.

What about decoction?

I'll use Sangjingamro decoction.

Is there a chance?

When diabetes is complicated with other, there's no...

How can you say it as a doctor?

What's going on?

Lord has severe sickness.

Then?

He can't stand for long.

Pardon?

The relation of Princess and Jang

has the strong bond that it can't be wavered?

I think Dr. Mok and Gomo are doing King's doctor.

Really?

Wooyoung truly trusts Mok Rasoo and Jang.

But this is about lord's health.

If they poison him,

- Let's go to his bedroom. - Yes.

Lord, are you alright?

Pain is getting relieved.

Please recover your strength. Don't lay down like this.

Please think about us.

Lord! General is here.

Let him in!

Are you unwell?

King Sunwang suffered with damp disease,

I think it's family genetic.

I heard you made Dr. Mok and Gomo as lord's doctors.

Yes.

This is caring lord's health.

Do you trust them this much?

I have no complaint of their medical skill.

And they healed the King Sunwang's damp disease.

It's not abot skill. Even if they are the merit official,

There's line to trust and restrain.

I'm worried as a son, so bear in your mind.

Yes.

She was insisting hard so I didn't say more.

Yes.

They say it's damp disease, find if they're doing other things.

We have to know this.

Have you found anything?

It's not damp disease.

- Not? - It's diabetes!

Diabetes?

But why did they say other things?

Looking at the prescription, he's very serious.

That's why they hid it!

They tried to blindfold me.

What would happen to us?

But how could they deceive me with sick father!

They fear you that much, general.

You were 100% correct.

I lower myself and waited, the time has come.

I will embrace everything. Everything!

Can we really trust Dr. Mok and Jang?

That was solved.

But even if they help us, what can we do without the lord?

Finally, Sun will be the King.

If Woochi was grown enough, there could be another way.

But how quickly,

we have no place to lean to.

Nobles change their mind everyday.

You decide yourself!

What do you mean?

I'm talking about Dalsol, Giroo.

Although he's not a noble, if you marry him,

Wouldn't he protect you?

I'll protect you.

So don't do anything strange.

You must not turn your back on general.

If you go too far, you'll suffer that much.

She is who I love!

Are you alright?

I'm alright.

Lean on me.

When was it?

Since when...

It is a big problem to us.

We were planned to revolt before general is enthroned.

If King passes away before we get ready,

it's a disaster!

Even if we're compulsive, we have to train more soldiers

And ready for all the time.

You have to make a decision.

You don't have to decide now so don't be nervous.

Don't anxious, either.

No, I won't be anxious about it.

So please get your hands out of this.

Go to the cottage where I and my mother used to live

or go to Soo.

It's a favor and an order.

Now I really go to the death of way! Baekjae 4th Prince's way,

To Crown Prince's way! To the way of King!

Please vanish in front of my eyes!

To fool me, he let go of necklace which will prove himself?

In any situation, I won't vanish in front of you.

That is the love I know.

I won't hurt you in any circumstances.

Was it the necklace?

The man who brings this letter, is the 4th son.

You deliver this letter to my brother.

- Open it. - Is he going to die? He's going to die!

- Jang! - Don't go like this.

You can't do this.

Don't let Jang come to the palace.

Find out if Dr. Mok is going to Jin Gakyung's house.

Important thing is that I can't hurt you,

so the choice I have left is...
