Help...

Let me go

So useless, damn it

Watch me

Help

What happened?

C'mon, speak

I'll speak...we were passing through

our chief set his eyes on these two beautiful girls

Alright, I get the picture

Where have you come from, and what have you done?

Nothing much

So you won't talk

We went to the Zhao residence

Who were you looking for?

Zhao Bai Chang

What for?

Looking for a knife

A knife?

Yes...

Where is Zhao Bai Chang?

He's dead

Why did they kill him?

What are they doing here?

To take away a Deer Knife

Deer Knife? Who did this?

Xiao the rambler

Xiao the rambler?

It's an ambush!

Keep still

Young master of the Jin Yan Bureau

has learnt to lead a covert operation

Your keen observation has exposed me

You could easily rob me

Show your weapons

Who are you?

You don't recognise me, I am Xiao the rambler

Spread out

Shoot...

We'll split the loot

I'll get the cart, you get the bodies

I didn't expect someone would dare

mess with me

Xiao the rambler?

Are you eligible to impersonate Xiao the rambler?

Get lost, quick

Let's go, quick

Impersonate Xiao the rambler

Pal

We'll be in the mountain soon, let's rest

Alright

Good kung fu

Didn't expect you to be not only good with your

Iight' technique but also with your finger skill!

How is it that you're here?

What's the background of these two?

I have always been invincible

who cares about their background!

But there's one thing I don't understand

What's that?

Why have you been following me around day and night?

Be frank

I have a favour to ask

Really?

It's too late

How come?

Who did it?

Xiao the rambler

Him again?

I never expected

there could be so many impersonating him

Xiao, it's been nice seeing you

Xi Niang is as good as ever

It's a shame you are still unable to get married

What nonsense is that

Everyone knows you're beautiful

but other than me

no one dares to marry you

If as you say

I'm unable to get married

I will blame you for it

If you condescend to love me

it would be my good fortune

If you don't say what you mean

I'll skin you alive

Stop scaring me

Xi Niang, I want some info about someone

Who?

The Happy King, Xuan Yuan Wudi

Why do you want information about him?

I have seen this old guy

You have?

What's so strange about that?

He gave me this sword

I heard he wants to dominate the martial arts world

That's right, his kung fu is the best beyond the border

and he has many expert fighters

At his age he is shameless

How's that?

He wants me to be his seventh wife

Then you must promise him

You're happy I am someone else's concubine?

I'm just joking, don't be so serious

You've forgotten about my temper

I remember...

You can't resist showing me something interesting

Compliments to you

What a good sword!

Of all the world only you have it

You have a way with words

Don't be angry with me

for pointing the sword at you

Look, why would I do such a thing?

This sword of Xi Niang is indeed not bad

I don't want it

Why?

Because there's a knife

which is deadlier

What knife is that?

The Deer Knife

The Deer Knife?

I've heard of it

It's a treasure which has been retrieved

When Zhao Bai Chang was harmed, the knife disappeared

Who'd have expected the knife

to be returned to Xu Lu Zi's home?

Everyone knows that, whoever gets the knife

would be king of the martial arts world

It is a good knife;,

too bad it is with Xu Lu Zi

No, it's with the Flying Eagle and Zhao Tai Chi

How come?

Xu Lu Zi asked these two to escort it into the city

Zhao Tai Chi is known as Hero of Chung Chao

The 81 techniques of the Tai Chi sword are mystical

Then there's the Flying Eagle

Her 18 Flying Eagle techniques are quintessential

These two are no nice guys

Do you know who they want to hand the knife over to?

Who?

Master Lian, Lian Cheng Bi

Why?

They want Lian Cheng Bi to kill

a villain for them

Who would that be?

You

Me?

I didn't know I've become a villain

Could you do something for me?

Please say so

I want that Deer Knife

I want you to get it for me

No wonder you've been searching for me

You've wandered right into my path this time

By getting the knife you achieve two things

First, I owe you a favour

Secondly, you'll save yourself

Lian Cheng Bi lives in the city, how about it?

Come. I'll treat you to a bowl of beef noodles

I'll go anywhere with you

I must have that knife

Don't ever think of losing me

Please sit

Master Lian, Miss Shum

Don't mind the humble food, please

Cousin and I are almost drunk

Right?

Mr. Cheng a strong drinker? Do have one more

Your wish is my command

Master Lian, bottoms up

You haven't had anything to drink at all

Master Lian

The community is worried about something

What is it?

They fear Xiao the rambler might rob us

That's right

I'll steal 10 thousand taels of silver from the rich

& twenty thousand from the Golden Lion security Bureau

That's why there are so many fake Xiaos!

Why do you rob the rich and give the poor

and use the stolen money to save the

refugees of the Huang River

while you're so poor that you have to eat noodles here?

By what you say

you're not my close friend

Everyone has his goals

I have taught a lesson

to the impersonators

Also...

Enough

Outlaws and the authorities are looking for you

and won't stop till they kill you

Do you realise what your situation is like now?

Yes

I'll get the Deer Knife for you first

then you could take care of my corpse

Hey, another bowl

Yes

We'll not stand by and do nothing

Regardless of whether Xiao is a thief

or a philanderer

You need not say more

Sooner or later cousin and I will look for him

But you have too much money

and should be worried

You can hire a few more security guards

My cousin might not be willing

to stick his neck out for you

Miss Shum, you can't say this

By protecting us, Master Lian is really protecting himself

He's also a millionaire

But my cousin is totally different from you

he doesn't care about money

My cousin has made a rash comment

please excuse her

Loss or gain of riches entirely depends on one's fate

Mister Cheng, thanks for the feast

we are leaving

Cousin, you should leave Xiao to me

Why?

Because he is a philanderer

so I should rid him for women's' sake

Let's wait till we get the Deer Knife

Help

Sir, spare her please

Help

Come, don't run...

Help

Let go

What, a weakling scholar like you

dare mess with me?

Yes, I'm Lian Cheng Bi and am determined to do so

Oh, Chief Lian...

You should be heavily punished for bullying a girl

Yes, we are wrong

Cousin, let them go

Chief, forgive us

I think they're a bit drunk

Yes

Face the wall and meditate on your wrongs

don't leave till dawn

Yes...thank you Master Lian...

Thank you lady, for pleading on our behalf

Girl, come here

Don't sing at this late hour from now on

Yes

If you bump into Xiao the rambler you're in trouble

This is for you

No

Take it

Thank you, miss

Thank you Master Lian, thank you miss

It's okay, go home

Yes

Thanks

The philanderer

Lian Cheng Bi is a gentleman & a hero;, rich yet humble

and so young too

He's also accompanied by Jiangnan's greatest beauty

If that Deer Knife...

You needn't provoke me

I stand firm on my word

If I meet Lian Cheng Bi earlier

I'll not get the knife for you

Brother Tai Chi

It's Lian residence once we cross the Bai Shek Slope

Yes

Don't move

Zhao Tai Chi, come down and fight me if you dare

Don't fall for their trap

Let's respond flexibly

I'll not fall for your trap

Come down if you have guts

Once Hero Chung Chau sees us he's scared

Since you know who I am

come and accept your death

We have no time

Zhao Tai Chi, we've heard your Tai Chi sword techniques

are of the highest level

why don't you show us how good you are?

Right

Flying Eagle, you dare not come up either?

The Flying Eagle never kills upstarts

Damn, you are wasting time

if you don't come down I'll leave

I'm not coming down

If you dare not come up then get lost

Brother Tai Chi, what's the matter?

Ma Bak Sing, are you alright?

Yes...

You bastards

I'll deal with you after I've finished my matters

We'll wait for you here

Brother Tai Chi, you lost again

Don't bother with them

Let's go

Damn it

Well? Got it?

Back to the King's abode

Brother Tai Chi, we're entering the woods

We have to be extra vigilant

I don't feel right about the Bai Shek Slope incident

We cannot go forward or backward

You cannot live nor pray for death

You are Xiao the rambler, I guess

So you've been the problem all along

You've come a long way

why don't you give me the Deer Knife

and let me deliver it to Lian Cheng Bi

Hey, what's going on outside?

Xiao the rambler wants to rob the knife

He has had a bad reputation

I'm afraid my Eagle Claws must go into action today

Zhao, why don't you show us what you've got

Those Eighty One techniques of your Tai Chi sword

Don't fall for it, protect the carriage

Your Flying Eagle Techniques alone

cannot harm me

Both of you should have fought me at the same time

Alright, you're good

I cannot win, I'm leaving

You're not leaving this easily

It's easy

Let's go

The Deer Knife is in the box, don't kill me

I, having a kind heart,

will spare your life

Thank you

Where's he?

The kid might have gone back to get the knife

Damn, we've fallen into a trap

Where's Ma Bak Sing?

We've got the Deer Knife

Gold, silver, bronze, iron, pewter

You five truly have good kung fu

You're too kind

What else could we do for you?

There's still Jiangnan's great beauty

That's simple, the three of us could take care of it

Your Majesty

Hero Ma, thank you

Thanks to Your Majesty

Since you've got the knife

could I have a look?

Sure

Thank you

That's really a treasured knife

What are you laughing at?

I am laughing at the fact that

one bastard has messed up so many people

Who?

How would I know?

First, Zhao Bai Chang's family has been harmed

the Deer Knife was taken

Then several impersonators of Xiao appeared

Then...

What followed then was that,

the Knife was returned to the sword maker Xu Lu Zi

with a letter specifying it is for Lian Cheng Bi

Yes, also designating that hero Lian must use the same

to kill me, the philanderer

Hero Lian is in trouble this time

Why?

Killing me is not that easy

Just think why that knife is a fake

Why frame me as a philanderer?

Why arrange for Lian Cheng Bi to fight with me?

It's a conspiracy

that puts us against each other

I have to get to the bottom of this

Me too

Okay, let's join forces

No need

I'd rather do this alone

If I find out who it is...

You must take away the Deer Knife, right?

That goes without saying. Goodbye

Cousin, where should we find him?

This kid has so many tricks; really gets on my nerves

Master Lian, we are sorry

we haven't passed the Deer Knife to you

We are too ashamed to face Master Xu Lu Zi

You need not blame yourselves

Let's go immediately

Even if we have to search through everywhere

we'll find him

Yes...

I'll go and get packed now

Cousin, you need not go

Why?

You have been protected since a kid

you are not ready to make such a rough journey

Besides

the Lian residence cannot do without a head

So you want me to be your house keeper?

I'm not doing that

I want to go seek Xiao the rambler

Cousin, don't be naughty

I beg you please

We're waiting for Master Lian at the gate

"Lian Residence"

Master...

Take care

In about 1 5 days or a month at the most, I'll be back

If we can't find Xiao the rambler I'll return first

Master, please

Cousin, go back

I'll wait till you've gone some distance

Thank you

Master, return soon

"Wine"

Brother Xiao, haven't seen you for over half a year

What brings you here?

Have you made it rich?

Rich?

I don't even have money for a drink

Drink all you want

I'll treat you

Brother Fok, how can this be?

You're too kind

Am I your friend or not?

Stop talking nonsense

White wine

Come, let's have a toast

I've had enough business today

I'll drink with you

call it a celebration, if you will

Right, let's drink

"San Yuen, Marble rock beach"

Miss, it's late, where are you going?

Siao Tsui, I must defy cousin's orders not to go

I must catch up with them

Miss, don't do this

If old madam found out

I will be blamed for it

No one will know if you keep quiet, out of my way

Miss

You dare stand in my way?

Miss

Ask Lian Fok to get the horses ready

Miss, you

Stop your nagging, go on

Yes

Stand still

Who is it?

Who dares to kill at the Lian residence this late hour?

What's the big deal about the Lian residence?

Don't harm her

Yes

No one's alive at the Lian residence

The great beauty of Jiangnan, don't be frightened

Who are you anyway?

You'll know sooner or later

Throw down your sword

Come with us quietly

you're dreaming

Out of the way...

What's the matter?

It's none of your business

Xiao the rambler

You dare mess around with such lousy skills?

Brother Xiao, you surprise me with your real kung fu

So you are Xiao the rambler

What is this place?

My home

You can't move, your are wounded

So you saved me

No... Iie down first

The one who saved you is outside washing dishes

You're awake

Thanks for saving me

It's nothing

It's best if you moved and talked less

I am Lian Cheng Bi

Why are you following me day and night?

You're over suspicious

Anyone could travel on the same road

you can't do anything about it

Stop that nonsense

Your suspicious appearance betrays you are a villain

Three against one?

Brother Zhao, it's our fault

Anyone could travel on the same road

I must beg forgiveness for having offended you

This is more like it

It's lucky you're using a wrecked sword

Were it the Deer Knife

it would make my day

Would you know the whereabouts of Xiao the rambler?

I wouldn't tell you if I knew, good bye

Quick, let's go after her

She might know the whereabouts of the Deer Knife

If she knew she wouldn't still follow us

Oblivious of oriole in lurch, mantis seizes the cicada

Her target is also the Deer Knife

You mean she'll still follow us?

Believe it or not

C'mon... Iet's go

Yes

Go...

The Lian residence has been levelled

Why San Mo Le

didn't bring Jiangnan's great beauty to me?

I'm at fault to tell you the Lian residence situation

I would know anyway

I saw it too

Who else could it be besides Xiao the rambler

What proof do you have?

He has done every immoral act imaginable

and has no scruples

This is no secret

Haven't heard this before?

He is Xiao the rambler

What? Him?

He is Xiao the rambler?

That's him

Miss

Brother Fok

Wake up

Where is he?

Gone

He's gone?

He left this

We've to part somehow so it's better not to go with you

Here's some money and clothes for the journey

they are definitely not stolen

Xiao the rambler

It's he who asked me to send you back once it's dawn

He wants to drive me away

Miss, you still don't believe him

He has not robbed the Deer Knife

You don't believe it?

Then does he have to leave?

Maybe he likes you

Likes me?

Only heavens know

Lady, how come you're not at home under this deluge

have you fallen out with your husband?

Many bad people lurch around in these desolate areas

Lady, be careful

But with me here you needn't be afraid

You beat people

Okay, you'll have your share of fighting today

Miss

Bitch

I'm Xiao the rambler and you're lucky I fancy you

why are you being coy?

The beast...

that you are can't compare with Xiao the rambler!

How dare you!

Who do you think you are

to mess with my affairs?

You are Xiao the rambler?

Then who am l?

You are the real Xiao the rambler

I'll leave a mark on your face

don't run into me again, get lost

Yes...thank you for sparing my life

Damn you, get lost

Yes...

I was wrong about you

A momentary mistake can cause quite a long term problem

Living wouldn't have meaning

if life wasn't like that

One has to go on living, right?

I knew you have been escorting me in secret

Brother Fok

Brother Xiao

Thank you

Go back when the rain stops

If anything like before happened again

I would be dead

before I send Miss Shum home

Right?

Look, so many people are impersonating you

and defaming you

why don't you stand up and defend your reputation?

How many people would believe me?

I stand on my principles

Why should I care about

what other people do?

As long as I haven't done immoral deeds

why should I bother with others?

Isn't it best if I went my own way?

When will we get drunk again?

Why has brother Fok not returned?

He's running an errand for me

You must be hungry

Smells good

You're born in a rich family and never suffered hunger

You seem to be unhappy

Not only that

I'm just like this ancient tree

So you mean your heart is hollow too?

What's with you?

They were seen being taken to the Lakeside lnn

My cousin?

Yes

You should go to him

You needn't attempt to get rid of me

I will leave when it's time

I didn't carry any valuable things

You like to drink

This bracelet will buy us intoxication

I fear we might not meet again

You're smart and should realise this

No, I must tell them

you are not the villain as others have called you

If they don't listen

At least our friendship has been well made

What's this song you keep humming?

An old folk madrigal

What does it mean?

Warm wind in March, the sheep loves the lank grass

the world is cold, who'll feed the wolf?

the world pities the sheep, but what about the wolf?

The wolf alone knows its own agony

Accuse him as a wolf, but know that he is a sheep

To know his true identity, the wolf is like a sheep

If the sheep is pitiful, what about the wolf?

He did it all for his ambition and not for me

I must be drunk

You're gone

and there's no unending feat in this world

Be gone when I'm drunk...

Why?

I can't bear to look...

"Lakeside lnn"

That's her

Cousin

Cousin

Why have you come?

Someone came to Lian residence to kill and arson;

injured me and kidnapped me

Luckily Xiao the rambler saved me

Xiao the rambler?

Go get changed

Where is Xiao the rambler?

Let's go and thank him

Where's he?

Where's he?

At the tavern beside the lake

Brother Xiao...wake up

It's you again

I took Miss Shum's clothes

so I've brought them back

What? She's gone

Gone

Look, you're so drunk

you should go back too

I'm not drunk, I want to drink again

Brother Xiao, look at you, you're so drunk

If your enemies find you

you are as good as dead

How could she have known about my movements?

she wouldn't have told Lian Cheng Bi

Xiao...

You

Xiao...

They now believe you have been framed

From now on you needn't...

He needn't cheat others any more

What? What are you talking about?

Cousin

Cousin, what's this about?

Xiao

You bullied Miss Shum while Master Lian was away

you couldn't even let an innocent girl alone

I must do justice and kill you today

So I am solely

responsible for every bad act there is

You made up a story

to cheat Miss Shum

Your treachery is exposed now

What are you doing?

You bullies, you...

So you...

Cousin

Are you just going to stand by?

Cousin, I'll hate you forever

Let's go

Let's go

Xiao...

Brother Fok

Master Lian

If you let him go you'll have trouble in future

But I have to keep cousin's trust in me

They were all hurt because of me

Cousin, I beg you to let go

I can't bear to see them die for me

Cousin

I know how you feel, go on

Xiao the rambler is heavily drunk

We won't win him honourably

You two go back to the tavern first

Master Lian, by what you're doing

it seems we had a wrong opinion of you

Good bye

Xiao...

Xiao... brother Fok

Xiao...

Brother Fok

Xiao...

Miss Shum

Xiao, you, Xiao

I have caused all this

Xiao, you can't die

I won't, but brother Fok...

Brother Fok

Brother Fok, gather your strength

I'll take you back and we'll have a drink

You need someone to carry you

I fear I have... Iived enough

Brother Fok

Brother Xiao, you always laughed at life and death

The important thing is to have known one true friend

Brother Fok...

Miss Shum, I won't make it

You two are meant to be a pair

I am afraid I might not see you again

Brother Fok...

Who is it?

I am the Happy King

and have been waiting here for a long time

Oh, so he has the Deer Knife

Right

Where is Jiangnan's great beauty? Speak

Leave the Deer Knife first

I haven't finished

So you're responsible for the Lian residence incident!

Where is the Jiangnan's great beauty?

I don't know

It's true, she's hard to find

Who is it?

I woke you

I shouldn't stay here

You want me to leave again

Let's not talk about this for now

I am famished, guess what I want to eat

Vegetable and meat bun

But the shop is far away from here

Small matter

I'll go and buy it

Cousin

Cousin, how come you're here?

I've waited for you for a day

Cousin you shouldn't have come

Cousin, as long as you don't detest me

I will wait for your change of heart

Cousin, we are destined to be apart

you must take care of yourself

Lian Cheng Bi is a hero, he's rich yet humble

and so young too

He is also accompanied by

the greatest beauty in Jiangnan

A pair comprising a hero and a great beauty

They are the envy of all people

I must abide by the martial world code of ethics

Master Lian

Please stay, I am Xiao seeking an audience from you

Hero Xiao, what else do you want?

Nothing much

but to thank you for helping me out

and secondly to ask you to take Miss Shum back

Miss Shum's heart is taken

so this matter should rest

A gentleman doesn't take what doesn't belong to him

A real man ought to stand tall before heaven & earth

If you don't take Miss Shum back

I'll become a laughing stock of the martial world

Say no more

Your kung fu is renowned

so I must see how good you are today

Master Lian, thanks for your mercy

Xiao, you really live up to your fame

I insisted but you didn't unleash your weapon

I am not only very impressed

I am also speechless

We will meet again some day

I'm assured my cousin will be well taken care of

Xiao, haven't seen you for a few days

what are you doing all on your own here?

It's a long story

And why are you here?

Is it because you have some news?

Did you really think the Deer Knife was in my hands?

Who has it?

In fact none of us expected

the real Deer Knife would be in Happy King's hands

Zhao Tai Chi and Flying Eagle have been slain by him

They must have destroyed the Lian residence as well

I don't believe it, I'll look for him

He's not far from here, I'll take you to him

Don't go

you'll slow me down

You are no match for him alone

Xi Niang, don't worry

I am still capable of taking care of him

Farewell

He's gone

Xiao

Where's he gone?

Xiao

So it's the Great Beauty of Jiangnan

You know Xiao the rambler

Where is he, miss?

His wounds have not healed completely

but he's okay

Where's Master Lian?

He might still be at the tavern by the lake

Go with me to look for him quickly

What do want with my cousin?

To go to the Happy King's abode

Go look for Xiao the rambler, quick

Who are you?

Fung Xi Niang

Matters are urgent, let's talk on the way

Alright

Though I lived outside the border

I have heard of your great name

The fact that you have come to me today

is something to be rejoiced

Er Yu, please pour wine for Master Xiao

Yes

Rejected by the martial world I seek refuge from you

It's unexpected that I've been well received by you

I'll be serving you from now on

Well said

With your help I'm confident I'll dominate the world

Please pardon me

A true hero's quality

We both share the same interest

These two are for you

You must treat them well from now on

Who dares to trespass?

Who dares disturb my drinking?

Lian Cheng Bi

So I see, my apologies

A trespasser must drink 3 wine bowls as punishment

Come, pour wine for Master Lian

Yes

No need

I seek a battle

I want to drink blood; as for wine, no thanks

Right, there aren't many men in this world

who dares to fight with me

I have yet to establish my credibility

so please give me some leeway in this fight

Right, I look forward to see how good you are

Step down

Yes

I spared you last time

now we meet again

Stop the rubbish

May I use the Deer Knife

so as to rid you of your enemy?

Alright, take it

Xiao

Move

Who are you? I don't know you

Don't know me?

Step down

Fung Xi Niang, I should be thankful to you

It's because of you

that Master Lian and the Great Beauty of Jiangnan

have come here together

I have come here especially to see you

I was your honoured guest last time

now I am your prisoner

Cousin...

Cousin...

Cousin

Forget it, death is the end of everything

Tears can't bring him back to life

I can kill someone but I can't convince someone

This is a congratulatory gift

I won't be at your wedding

Xiao, I didn't get you this time

you should give me the Deer Knife I want

Alright

Xi Niang, I have something to discuss with you

Just tell me what you want

I'll safeguard this Deer Knife for now

until a good owner is found

Do you agree?

Yes, for a limited period of one year

If no owner is found, I'll use force

What's your plan?

After one year I would use force to grab the knife

and grab you too
