Episode 14

Kim Jae Soo, aren't you glad to see me again?

What the...

You are under arrest for illegal fundraising and taxes.

What are you talking about? The prosecutor is right in front of me.

You too, you bastard.

You took the bribe from him, didn't you?

You're grabbing me by the collar again? Let's talk!

Are you...

Long time, no see. You got so impetuous.

You're so happy to see me again your mouth can't shut, right?

If you're happy to see me again...

How about a kiss?

Shut up, you bastard.

What's wrong with you?

If it's revealed you released him because of a bribe

you'll get fired from your position.

I'm going to have both of you arrested. Watch me.

- Get up. - Prosecutor. Prosecutor.

Can you do something about this woman? Prosecutor.

I'll see you soon. I should finish this sashimi. I'm hungry.

She threw me away twice.

Han Joo...

What happened?

When did you get out?

Are you here to see me?

No. I came to see Chun Won.

Is Chun Won home?

How did you know where we live?

Did you get my letter in jail?

I went there to visit you a couple times.

Did you know I went there?

I told you I wouldn't see you even if you came to visit.

Where do you live now?

I went to your old house in Busan.

But the kids weren't there.

I got so worried and that's why I sent a letter to you.

Do you live with the kids now?

I don't want to talk about the past.

When is Chun Won coming?

Prosecutor Seo Do Young and he were there together?

That's what I'm saying. I bet they're in this together.

I think you're going too far.

Seo Do young is Kim Jae Soo's prosecutor. You can't say they're in this together.

How are you going to investigate Kim Jae Soo?

We need to request a search seizure warrants to get evidence.

What if Seo Do Young dismisses the case?

Can we request the search and seizure warrant without Seo Do Young?

Hey, do you want me to fight against a prosecutor now?

Anyway, I can't let Seo Do Young investigate him!

Why is my ear burning?

Were you talking behind my back?

Are you Prosecutor Seo Do Young?

Yes, I'm the heroic prosecutor, Seo Do Young.

You must be Chief Cha, right?

It must be hard for you to handle your junior official here.

- Yeah... - Hey, what are you doing here?

I'm here to direct the police investigation.

Kim Jae Soo...

is mine.

Stop that crap and go away.

What are you planning now?

- Hey, you woman... - Are you crazy?

Why are you being so rude to the prosecutor?

It's okay.

She's a fellow middle school alumna.

I never went to school with a person like you.

You took the bribe from a suspect and had dinner with him. We never went to school.

You, get out.

Do you want me to beat you up again?

Are you out of your mind?

Do you know who helped you return to work here?

- What did you say? - Didn’t you get the paper I sent you?

He asked me to write a letter so you could work on this case again!

You shouldn't have told her that. I was going to surprise her with that.

You're embarrassing her.

Were you surprised? Or were you impressed?

Kim Baek Won. I'm so sad.

I recognized you right away but how could you not recognize me?

If you had recognized me, you wouldn't have stolen the suspect I caught.

That was...

You're right.

Why did I do that?

Fine. It's my fault I didn't recognize the serial killer. I understand that.

What about Kim Jae Soo's case?

You released him before. Why do you want to arrest him again?

I told you that you can't arrest him for dealing drugs.

He'll get probation at best.

But looking at his data, there was something bigger than that.

Hey, you've raised fish before. Don't you know?

You release the small fry and when it gets bigger, you catch it again.

And if we get him arrested, you can come back and work again as a detective.

What do you think? Aren't I so sweet?

You can't find a prosecutor like me in this world.

Fine. I've never seen a prosecutor like you.

Look at your hair. You even dyed your hair.

Are you a Chinese food delivery man or something?

Hey. I paid a lot for this hair.

Do you have bad eyes? Do you need lasik surgery?

Enough.

Get a search and seizure warrant for me.

Sure. Why not?

Before I send him to your office, I'm going to investigate him.

So, give me enough time to do that.

You're doing the work instead of me. Of course, I would.

Let's stop talking about work. Let's talk about your past.

Why did you leave Busan without telling me?

Is Young Won doing okay?

I don't want to talk about it.

Hey, don't you want to know how I lived?

I don't want to know. Not even a little.

Chun Won became a lawyer?

She got law and an international law credentials.

You have no idea how clever she is.

By the way, she changed her name.

To Ha Bin.

Yoon Ha Bin...

Mom, I'm home. You have a guest...

- It's been a while. - How did you know...

Say hello. He was your father.

Ha Bin...

Can you leave us alone for a second? I need to talk to her privately.

My real dad?

Yes. Kang Dong Pal is sentenced to life.

And he misses you so much.

You should go visit him.

That's not going to happen. I don't want to see him again.

Your father has changed a lot.

If a person is locked up in jail, he goes through a lot of changes.

He also got very weak.

Anyway, you're his one and only family.

He misses you so much. You might want to go visit him before he passes away.

That's something I'll decide.

You have no idea how horrible it was while I stayed with him.

Sure. It's something you should decide.

Anyway, this is what I think.

I heard you've become a lawyer.

Thank you for growing up so well.

Han Joo.

Are you leaving?

You can't just leave like this.

We haven't seen each other for a long time.

I'm so glad you're doing all right.

Thank you for raising Chun Won so well.

If she had been raised by me, she wouldn't have done as well.

I live with my kids, and I'm happy. Let's not see each other again.

We don't have to talk about the ugly past.

Han Joo. Han Joo!

Han Joo.. Han Joo!

- Did he leave? - Yes.

He did.

By the way, what did he talk to you about?

He said he met my real father in jail.

He asked me to visit him.

What a small world. Why don't you go visit him?

No. Whenever I think of him, it creeps me out.

But he gave birth to you.

Mom, I told you I tried to kill myself because of him.

He robbed and killed people.

He assaulted me so much when I was younger. I don't want to see him even in my dreams.

To me, you're my only family.

Okay. If that's how you feel.

By the way, don't you wonder about them?

Baek Won... Man Won...

Sib Won... Yeol Won... and Young Won.

- They were your family. - Do you think of them?

Yeah. Sometimes.

We committed a sin against the kids and Han Joo.

Mom, did you forget this is why we got kicked out of that house?

I feel sorry too, but we shouldn't get caught up in the past.

It will only break our hearts.

Don't even think about finding them, Mom.

Nobody will welcome you.

Only focus on your goal.

Think of how you suffered under Golden Group's Kang Jung Sim.

We should get back at her.

Did you get my letter in jail?

I went to visit you a couple times.

Did you know I went there?

You didn't forget what I said, did you?

If you don't make up the loss you made before the inspection

I don't care if you're my grandson or not.

If it's too much, let me handle it. I can ruin it in four days.

How can you joke in this situation?

You make me lose my appetite by talking about work during our meals.

You should stop it, Grandma.

Are you giving me advice now?

You think being a prosecutor is everything?

What's wrong, Mom? He's just caring about his brother.

You ruined the mood first thing in the morning.

Do Young, this is the kimchi with oysters that you've wanted to eat.

Look at this.

Try this.

The oyster is so fresh it's going to melt in your mouth.

What's wrong with you, honey?

Why? I'm just taking care of my son.

I guess Do Young got you on something.

What do you mean?

If being nice to my own child is a crime, let a cop arrest me.

I'm innocent.

My husband is incomparably handsome.

You're being excessively nice to Do Young in front of Tae Young. That's not good.

Do Young is my son as well.

Tae Young is going through hard times because of Mrs. Kang.

It may be hard to make up the loss even with Tae Young's share.

Is it that bad?

Why don't you help Tae Young?

Me? How?

If you give your share to Tae Young, he might turn a corner.

No. That's our retirement saving.

But he might be kicked out of his position.

You know your mother's temper.

If he's not a good CEO, he should be fired.

I'm really worried about Tae Young.

No. I can't give up my share.

I know he's incompetent. What if he loses all my shares too?

Do you want to be at the mercy of my mother when we're older?

I won't give up my share. I can't.

Why is there so much food?

You probably worked hard to make a big breakfast this morning.

- Why do you look so happy? - Hey, I'm always very cheerful.

Think of this as a birthday meal. Enjoy.

Why do you look so depressed, Man Won?

It has been such a long time since he's looked depressed.

You look like you're going to cry any minute.

Sorry.

Guys, leave him alone. If he doesn't do that, we wouldn't notice him.

You guys are terrible!

It's a joke. No one gets it.

Was that really a joke?

I got goosebumps. Look.

Ah. No one's on your side.

That's funny, It is funny.

Congrats, Man Won. You finally have somebody who can laugh at your jokes.

Let's eat, guys.

How can I help you?

I'm a prosecutor from Incheon.

To investigate Kim Jae Soo about the evasion of taxes and embezzlement

we're going to seize and search his data under Criminal Code 113.

You may start.

If anyone interrupts us, you'll be arrested for obstructing an officer.

So, clear the way, you bastards.

Move!

What are you talking about? Boss got arrested?

The cops broke into the hostess bars and night clubs.

His study academies also got searched.

This seems serious. Don't you think you should visit him?

Kim Han Joo?

He was in jail a few days ago in Busan.

If you contact the prison staff, you can find out where his family lives now.

- Please find their address. - Yes, ma'am.

Mrs. Yoon, Kim Jae Soo got arrested.

Again? We got him out of the police station. What did he do this time?

I was acquitted by a prosecutor. Why did you arrest me this time?

I looked through your bank account.

And it was no joke.

You sent money from your pleasure resort to your construction company by laundering.

You invested the money you made from the academies on the pleasure resorts.

Can you do that? Do other stockholders know about this too?

What are you talking about? Call my lawyer.

Even if your lawyer gets here, nothing will change.

I bet you'll be sentenced to at least five years for what I've got here.

If I dig up more information, the sentence will be increased. Don't you agree?

Depending on how you answer my questions, I can take out some of your charges.

What?

You know Yoon Young Hae, don't you?

You made Kim Han Joo smuggle using Yoon Young Hae's debt as blackmail.

I don't know. I said I don't know. What's wrong with you?

The statute of limitation is over. You won't get charged for this anyway.

I just want to know the truth.

You made him smuggle, didn't you?

Hey, what are you doing now?

Are you going to beat him up again?

No. He's fine. Look. He's fine.

And why did you shut the blind down?

I feel like I'm being investigated with that blind open.

You said you're going to let me handle this!

- How are you doing? - Are you here because of Kim Jae Soo?

I heard about him too.

I heard you took care of it last time. Should I take care of it this time?

- I took care of it already. - Good.

By the way, what are you going to do about your daughter?

My daughter doesn't even know about this.

It will take time to convince her.

She's your daughter. You took in an orphan for 14 years. She owes you.

I know she's pretty greedy. I bet she will say yes to the offer.

I know it.

As long as Seo Jin Ki is ready, do it.

My health is getting worse. I can't wait any longer.

So, this is Polar Bear?

Yes. It was so hard to get a picture of him.

- He's such a mysterious man. - And he has no criminal record?

According to rumor, he has connections to politicians.

So, he's never gotten arrested.

He was a moneylender in the past.

And now he's CEO of World Wild Loan?

There he comes.

What? Who is it?

Yes, Father.

I heard you arrested Kim Jae Soo again.

Release him.

No.

Father, I was exposed to the media.

I released him once without asking you why.

Now, it's different.

I should at least know why I have to release him.

You probably found out why after you tracked his account.

Yeah. I borrowed some money from World Wide Loan.

The purpose of that was, as you know, to buy your brother's share.

You know I'm a salaried employee so I don't have cash in my hand.

Then did Polar Bear push you?

To release Kim Jae Soo?

Do Young, just as you think, I'm going to take over Golden Group.

In order to do that, I shouldn't hurt his feelings.

Please do me a favor one more time.

No.

Do Young...

I don't care if you take over Golden Group or not.

You do your job, and I do my job.

Until when are you going to work as a civil servant?

Golden Group will be yours in the future.

Don't use me as your excuse. This is just for your ambition.

Did I ever say I needed your help?

You also got humiliated by your stepmother, brother and grandmother.

Don't you want to get back at them?

Of course, I do.

How can I forget the anger I went through in my childhood?

But of all of them, do you know who caused me the most pain?

It's you!

Do Young.

You threw away your own son and your wife for your own ambition.

You told me to submit to other family members just for your ambition.

Yes! Just like you said, I held back and built up my power.

Now that I have the power, I'm going to use it for whatever I want.

I'm turning down your request.

Understand?

Wait.

Yeah. You’re right.

I gave up everything for my goal.

I threw out your mom and you.

I threw out the woman I loved more than anyone.

I ran away from the orphanage when I was 15 years old.

I made a promise to God in a world where nobody stood up for me.

I said I'd climb to the top of the world on my own using any means necessary.

This is how I lived.

I know I've done so many things I shouldn't have.

If you hate having a father like me, you can throw me out too.

I have nothing to say even if you break off this relationship.

What the heck?

Detective Park, what are you doing?

- Where are you going with my suspect? - The prosecutor wants to see him.

What are you talking about? The prosecutor gave me enough time to investigate.

I don't know. Ask the chief.

I'm just doing what I'm told to do.

Detective Park.

Man Won.

What are you doing here? Why are you wearing a suit?

An, my friend had a wedding around here and I stopped by to see you.

How did you know I was here? You know I was moved to the precinct station.

Ah, I forgot about that.

So silly. I'm sorry. I don't have time to talk to you now.

I'll see you at home, okay?

Sure.

- Here. Drink it. - What's this?

Snake soup. Hard to buy during the winter, but I paid a pretty penny for it.

What are you doing? If you have money for this, pay the loan on the restaurant.

Restaurant? This restaurant is done.

You need to be healthy to start a new business.

Drink it.

What do you think? Do you feel the energy coming from the ground?

I just swallowed it.

Father. Father.

I got something!

What did you get?

There's this sashimi restaurant in Incheon and people have lined up to eat there.

Are you kidding me? What's so special about sashimi for people to get in line?

It's all natural sashimi and the way they fillet the raw fish is amazing.

And the fish soup is so good that people fall in love with it.

Is this a mom-and-pop store or something?

How can they do business with this small restaurant?

Let's just give it a shot. Come on.

- Is it snapper? - Yes.

The coloring for this fish should be red. What's this?

Are you from another country or something?

The flesh of its back might be red but the fatty meat should be pink like this.

Mister, I've had seasickness for most of my life.

- Are you showing... - Stop.

You don't need to say a thing. Just try it.

Here. Try it.

I don't want to lose my appetite...

Why is it so delicious?

Are you sure it's snapper?

Dad, let me try it too.

It's amazing. Dad, it's what we used to eat when I was young, right?

Yeah! It’s amazing!

You try it. This is real sashimi.

I don't like sashimi.

Let me try the fish soup.

Goodness. Its taste is kind of weird.

There's nothing special in the soup.

What the heck are you doing to our food?

Soo Pyo, hold me tight before I pass out.

If you want to eat, order for yourself!

Where's the owner? Sir, can I talk to you?

Why are you looking for the owner?

Don't you know why? Whoever he is, he must been an amazing cook.

No matter what it costs, we should scout him.

Do you need anything else?

Han Joo...

Please let me go. You're choking me.

Han Joo, I'm so sorry. I deserve to die.

Do you even know what you're sorry for?

Then tell me.

What are you sorry for?

That's...

If I did something wrong, it would be that I'm just a powerless man.

I was really going to take care of the kids, but Jin Ki called people at the ward.

I was told to kick out the kids.

I'm not lying.

I know I shouldn't have done it but I need to tell you this.

Because the truth should be revealed.

You took the blame on yourself. We should at least take care of the kids...

I couldn't tell him...

You know how terrible Jin Ki is.

He's so spiteful.

You have no idea how much he beat me up!

It's so good, isn't it?

Mom, don't you have to go see what's happening?

Hey, I'm sure everything is fine. Don't you think so?

- How may I help you? - Who are you?

Where's my dad...

Sae Lyun?

Who are you? How do you know me?

How can I forget a woman who used to steal our food all day?

Are you Sib Won?

What?

Are you Soo Pyo?

Goodness. You used to eat like a pig. Your body is so honest.

Did you get a plastic surgery? I barely recognize you!

I just lost a lot of weight. That's it!

She’s right. She her big eyes since she was young! She's as beautiful as before.

By the way, you guys have no shame! How dare you come here?

You think I came here to see you? I heard the sashimi was good here...

We came here because we missed you.

How's Baek Won? I missed Man Won so much.

What happened? Did the cops come here too?

- No. - Then what?

A man named Jo Kwang Do came here and made a mess.

He wanted me to give this to you when you came back.

He wants you to come to this place at noon tomorrow.

Hello?

Yes. This is Yoon Ha Bin.

Hi, how are you? I was going to contact you soon.

You're here.

I'm sorry I came late.

You must be busy with your work. Have a seat.

The estimate for repairing was higher than I thought.

It's not good manners to ask a lady to pay with money.

So I asked you to treat me to dinner.

Will one dinner be enough? I probably owe you more.

If it's with a beautiful woman, it's worth it.

For the CEO of Golden Group, one dinner must be enough.

I am kind of young for a CEO, aren't I?

Golden Group is being managed well because of an innovative distribution structure.

Because of the improvements from a multimillion won investment

the welfare and income of fishermen have increased.

And so has the income for Golden Group.

How do you know the details of my company so well?

Aren't you a lawyer?

Did I go too far? I get aggressive when I talk about work.

When I was in Japan, I was a corporate lawyer for Fuji Industry.

I was acting up in front of the CEO of Golden Group, wasn't I?

By the way, have we met before?

I have a common face.

No. If women in this country looked like you, happiness levels would go up a lot.

Thank you for the compliment. I should buy you drinks too.

Sounds good.

You bastard, come out.

I let you off the hook a couple times and now I look easy to you?

Let's go somewhere quiet and have a talk.

You bastard.

Are you playing with me now?

You arrested him and released him again?

It's my job to prosecute him. You do your job.

What's the reason for doing this?

Did you really take money from him?

You can work for the violent crimes unit, just like you wanted.

You son of a bitch!

I have my limits too. Don't forget I'm your superior.

Do you know how hard I tried to get that bastard arrested?

For 14 years, I bit the bullet and worked so hard to arrest him.

How could you release him so easily?

What are you? Why are you so obsessed with him?

The man who made my dad go to prison. I wanted to arrest him.

I wanted to reveal the truth and show what he did to my dad.

What are you talking about?

He's the one who made my dad smuggle!

He made my dad waste 14 years of his life in prison!

You lost Young Won?

Yeah.

After we heard the people from child services were coming

Man Won stole money from a night club.

On the way to Seoul...

We lost him at the train station.

And the night club was owned by Jo Kwang Do, wasn't it?

Is he the one who took Young Won?

No. Man Won went back to find Young Won. Turns out Jo Kwang Do didn't take him.

I went to my school ...

just in case he was waiting for me.

- And you weren't there either. - When was that?

It was a month later after we lost Young Won.

I couldn't go sooner because of the others.

Then it must have been after I went to study abroad.

Dad sent me there.

I didn't want to stay in this country after your family was gone.

Everything happened because Dad got sent to prison.

This is why I really wanted to arrest him.

But you ruined everything.

You said you were going to help me when we were young.

But you let that bastard go.

It doesn't matter now. You aren't the Seo Do Young that I used to know.

You can just be the smart-ass prosecutor.

I'm going to get him no matter what.

What should we do? We should drink some soju early on.

We don't have to be normal people.

We can refresh our palettes with a cup of wine at a hotel.

But I think I'm too drunk to do that.

I'll book a room at the hotel. A suite room.

My family is so strict I have to sleep in my own room.

I will see you next time.

No. Wait.

Yoon Ha Bin.

I'll be looking forward to drinking wine at a hotel bar next time.

Baek Won.

Man Won.

Where are you coming from?

Ah, after the wedding, I had dinner with other fishermen.

You looked so good in the suit earlier.

I borrowed it.

Why would I wear a suit?

By the way, what are you doing here?

- I'm feeling low today. - Why? What's wrong?

Should I quit being a police officer?

I should've studied harder and become a prosecutor.

I have no power.

I said you can quit if it's hard for you.

Do something you like.

Even if you don't have two jobs, we can still make enough money.

Man Won, carry me on your back.

What?

I don't think I'm strong enough to walk to my house.

My legs are weak today.

Just one time.

- Baek Won. - Yes?

Do you want to quit everything here and go to the countryside?

Countryside?

Yeah. I can catch fish, and you can raise fish.

Father can run a sashimi restaurant.

Then what about the other kids?

Sib Won wants to be an actress.

And Yeol Won has to graduate.

He still has to take the civil service exam.

Yeol Won and Sib Won can stay in Seoul.

We'll visit them often.

No. Families are people who eat together.

I don't want to be separated anymore.

The empty spot between Il Won and Young Won makes me so lonely enough.

I feel like I won the lottery. Your back is so big and wide.

I know I've done many things I shouldn't have.

If you hate having a father like me, you can throw me out.

I have nothing to say to you even if you want to break off this relationship.

I wanted to reveal the truth and show what he did to my dad.

What? Uncle Eok Jo?

Did he really come to the restaurant?

Yes, he did. That shameless man came to the restaurant!

How did he know?

He said he had been looking for us or something.

Do you really buy that?

Sae Lyun and Soo Pyo came with him. Your friend, Soo Pyo. He got so fat!

It looked like his face was going to explode any minute.

- So what happened? - He begged Dad for forgiveness.

That's his hobby, you know.

I'm so glad that I didn't have to see those people.

Don't be so mean to him. Uncle Eok Jo is a poor man.

Dad if he's poor, who else is not poor in this world?

But he stayed with me when I was going through a hard time.

Life treated him harshly, and people cheated him.

He's not a bad person though.

He's the only brother I have. We went through childhood together.

By the way, why aren't you eating, Baek Won?

- Are you sick? - No, Dad.

Hey, why did you come so late? Why did you turn off your phone?

Why were you looking for me? People will misunderstand our relationship.

It's not like I'm done with my probation, and I have nothing to do.

- Prosecutor Seo called. - Why?

He said he's going to re-investigate Kim Jae Soo.

What did you say?

What the hell...

Can you leave us alone for a second please?

Hey, are you playing with me now?

You arrest him and release him. Arrest him and release him.

And you want to investigate him again?

Is this how a prosecutor stabs a police officer in the back?

It's not a bad thing.

Wow, you skin is so dry.

You need to drink more water.

Hey, Seo Do Young!

I'm going to arrest Kim Jae Soo, who you've arrested before.

But he's not the one you've been looking for.

The person you've been looking for is...

this person.

Who is he?

Park Eng, so-called Gwang Hwa Moon Polar Bear.

Now, he's CEO of World Wide Loan.

He was a legendary money lender in the past.

Kim Jae Soo only works with pleasure resorts and the construction industry.

He's not interested in private loans.

And that man is Kim Jae Soo's boss.

If Yoon Young Hae borrowed money from somebody

it must have been from this man.

Then we can arrest him.

We can arrest him for doing shady deals with Kim Jae Soo.

We can't.

It turns out he only has the title of CEO. He doesn't do any work.

Now, he's in a hospital.

Even if we arrest him for money laundering

he can get away with it easily.

No point talking about smuggling gold that expired the statute of limitations.

Then what should we do?

There's someone working behind him.

We need to arrest that person first.

Han Joo.

Did you forget what I said?

I said I don't want to see you again.

I know but...

I can't just pretend that I don't know you're out from prison.

You spent so many years in prison because of me.

It's what I decided. It's not because of you.

I got punished for killing my own child.

Han Joo...

Please let me be.

Wait, Han Joo.

I know you hate this.

- But with your kids... - Are you going to make me mad like Jin Ki?

Young Hae, I've lost one of my brothers.

Please don't make me give up on you.

Han Joo.

What are you doing now?

Grandma...

Am I your grandma in the office?

I'm sorry, Mrs. Kang.

Are you planning how to make up the loss?

Yes. I told the executives to come up with ideas.

I'm not asking about them. Explain to me how you're going to make up the loss!

You can't explain again? Are you mute?

I'll make up the loss no matter what.

Are you talking back to me now?

Are you going to gamble again?

You thought I didn't know, did you?

Whether you gamble or steal, you're going to have to take responsibility.

I'm going to keep my eyes on you, okay?

So, you're going to do it?

Yes. But promise me one thing.

If things aren't going well, Golden Group must not be mentioned.

Don’t worry about that.

Long time, no see. Jo Kwang Do.

Hey.

How about we talk later? I'm in the middle of a meeting here.

You made a mess in my office and asked me to come and see you here.

Why would I care about your meeting?

Hey, Kim Man Won. You've grown up a lot.

Let's see if I really have or not.

Come out.

Let's make it short since I'm busy. Whoever loses gives up this apartment construction.

Okay?

You said you're busy but you talk too much.

You bastard...

You should have promised what you said.

Don't even think about coming here.

Man Won.

- Who are you? - You're Kim Man Won from BuSan, right?

Don't you recognize me?

I was your classmate in high school, Seo Tae Young.

What are you doing here?

We met for the first time in ten years. Aren't you happy to see me?

I just want to talk business with you. It won't do any harm to you.

There's some money in it.

Weren't you supposed to call me first before I called you?

I released you twice. Don’t you have a heart?

Sorry. I've been busy lately.

I'll refill your drink.

Because of you, I'm in a sticky situation.

People from World Wide Loan asked me to release you so I did it.

But this might get me in big trouble!

I will repay your favor for sure.

Speaking of which...

I need some money.

I'm planning to do some business with my friend.

As you know, a civil servant doesn't make much money.

I know. How much you need?

A billion won?

Mr. Kim, you must be kidding me, right?

If it's only that much, I wouldn't ask you for help.

Then... ten billion won?

Prosecutor, that's beyond my ability.

I didn't ask you to borrow it.

You have a connection to World Wide Loan.

And I want a low interest.

But I need permission from my superior.

Who is that?

I dug up some information on it...

I hear that Mr. Polar Bear doesn't work these days.

- Did you get any? - Yes. We'll get a fax from Japan soon.

The person behind him is Japanese?

It says the person's name is Ishiyala Kyoko.

No. According to Kim Jae Soo, a Korean person.

But he only knows the Japanese name.

It's coming now.

What's wrong?

I'm their guardian. I'm their mother.

Thank you, ma'am...

Ma'am...

Where have you been?

Ishiyala Kyoko... Yoon Young Hae.

I'm arresting you for evasion of taxes and money laundering.

Do you recognize me?

I never forgot about you.

Are you...
