JIM: Hi, I'm Jim Jefferies. Welcome to the 1% Club,
the show that separates the smart from the dumb.
It's not about what you know, it's about how you think.
Unless you know you are stupid, then we can't help you.
Tonight, we're brought together 100 everyday Aussies
to find out who's in the top 10% of thinkers,
who's in the top 50% of thinkers
and who's as dull as a pair of kindergarten scissors.
The questions increase in difficulty.
Get one wrong and you're out.
But get them all right and you could win up to $100,000.
(APPLAUSE)
This is the 1% club.
Let's meet our contestants.
OK.
Toad. Hey.
What do you do for a living, Toad?
Uh, dairy farmer, mate.
Uh, yeah, up the New South Wales in the Bega Valley.
What do you think you'll do with the money, mate?
I told me miss I'd take her on a honeymoon
and buy a truck actually, so...
Where do you wanna go on a honeymoon?
We don't know. Probably up to Queensland
where it gets a bit warmer, I suppose.
Get away from the flies a bit.
Yeah.
Yeah, I feel like it'd fit in, in Queensland, mate.
(LAUGHTER)
Hello, Kate, uni student, you're working?
What are you up to?
I'm a graduate railway signalling engineer.
Did you need to go to university for that?
I did.
Was the first day red and then the next day green?
And then the third day don't mix up red and green.
That's what I thought.
But it actually, they do have a colour combination.
What's the colour combination of the railroad?
It's too hard to explain.
I don't think it will be. Test me.
Alright, so you've got green on top and red on bottom.
What does that mean?
Oh, I would, that would be, uh, go, but go with caution.
Means go at full speed.
And that's my caution, baby.
I just called a contestant, baby.
Alright we've met our players.
Now, let's have a look at the rules.
We've tested our questions on 1,000 Australians
from all walks of life
and arranged them from the ones that almost everyone can answer
to the questions only the biggest brainiacs can work out.
Each player starts with $1,000 in the bank.
If they stuff up, that money goes in the prize pot, and they go home.
If they make it all the way to the end,
they get a crack at a question, only 1% of Australians could answer.
If they nail it,
they take home up to $100,000.
That's the rule sorted.
Time for our first question.
This is the 90% question.
You have 30 seconds to answer your time starts now.
This is our first question, so I'll help you out.
If you've just woken up from a 50-year coma.
The answer isn't that the pictures are in colour,
and I'm not a young Jon English.
I have some bad news about Jon English.
He won't be in 'Pirates of Penzance' this year.
Five seconds.
OK. Time's up.
Let's see who got it right.
We lost five.
If your lights are out, you are out.
Five, that's appalling.
Five.
Let's have a look at the answer.
The answer A, right.
She only ever saw him once through a scope.
Aaron. Ah, mate.
Yeah, mate. You got it wrong.
Not too good with me, presidents, mate.
Um, for some reason, I don't know,
I thought Bush died before the time of John Howard.
You thought Bush had died. Is he dead?
No.
No, you're really bad with your presidents.
Jenny, you got it right?
Yes.
What would you do with the money?
I'd love to travel to Europe to visit my son,
who will be studying over there this year.
Uh, how many children do you have?
I've got three.
I've got twins who are actually here today.
You got twins? Yeah.
Hold on, let me see if I can pick 'em.
Twins, this is going to be a fun game for me.
You don't look like you.
You don't look like you.
You don't look like.
Ah you, yeah, you're a twin?
Yep. And you?
You just got different hairdos?
Yep. Uh, what's your name, mate?
Aidan. What do you do for a living, Aidan?
I'm a student. You're a student?
What are you studying, mate? I'm doing my PhD in engineering.
What are you studying?
Uh, not studying. I'm a programmer.
I feel like you're the one that's not in university,
but gonna make the most money.
Let's move on.
OK. We lost five people.
Your $1,000 goes into the prize pot.
Let's ring it up.
Ohh.
$5,000. Let's move on.
Here is the 80% question.
You have 30 seconds to answer.
Your time starts now.
Serena. Serena, Serena.
It's not bread, its cake, and it's not a wholemeal,
it's a whole meal.
You can't lie to yourself, Serena, I'm eating a sandwich.
What is it?
Red Velvet.
Five seconds.
OK, time is up.
Let's see who got it right.
We lost four on that one.
Four, let's take a look at the answer.
The answer's, bananas.
It's bananas, bananas.
Chris, mate, you got it wrong.
What did you put down?
Salt. You put down salt.
Yes. You missed out on the bananas.
I hate bananas.
(LAUGHTER) Yeah, me too.
I despise bananas.
I can't stand the smell, the look.
What would've you done with the money?
Not that it matters, but might as well ask.
I was gonna hopefully buy my wife a new car.
But she'll have to wait, now.
It's good having you here, mate.
(LAUGHTER)
Thanks, mate.
G'day, Louie, how you doing, mate?
Yeah, good thanks.
What do you do for fun, Louie?
Uh, I like to run. I like to run a lot.
That's psychopathic, Louie. Yeah.
Do you do it everyday?
Yeah, I try to. Yeah.
I like to catch a train out to the end of the line
and then run back home.
You're a sad man, Louie.
What would you do with the money?
Uh, me and my fiance would love to go to the US
and do the Appalachian Trail.
Oh. When are you getting married?
Uh, no date set. Well, only newly engaged.
Did you get down on one knee?
Uh, no. A little bit less traditional.
We just did it on the couch when we were watching tv.
Ah, yeah.
He's a romantic and then he went for a run.
(LAUGHTER)
Hello, Emma. How are you?
What a lovely smiley face you have, Emma.
Did you find either of these first two questions difficult in any way?
Yes, actually that first one was a total fluke.
I can't believe I got through.
What was so hard about it? I don't know what JFK looks like.
I just thought he looked younger than the rest,
and so I chose A.
And I passed. Yeah, you did good.
You got any kids?
Yes, we have four kids and one on the way.
So, this be your fifth kid? Yes.
Are you gonna have anymore?
No. Yeah.
We're finished.
Alright.
Let's see what that does to the prize pot.
$9,000.
The prize pot is growing.
Will someone here win up to $100,000?
Let's see, after these ads.
Welcome back to the 1% Club.
So far, we've eliminated nine contestants.
91 is still competing for up to $100,000.
This is the 70% question.
You have 30 seconds to answer.
Your time starts now.
I thought this was a complicated hopscotch court.
The girl at my school could do five and nine at the same time.
Very popular girl.
Her name was Serena Split.
If you can find a woman who can do five and nine plus bake,
put a ring on it, people.
Five seconds.
OK, time is up.
Let's see who got it right.
18.
That's a lot of people.
Let's have a look at the answer.
The answer's four.
You go one,
and then you're up to seven.
Then you go cross to six,
then you go down to two.
Then you go across to four.
Jodie. Hello.
Where did you go wrong? Look, I'm not gonna lie,
I just didn't wanna go out in the first round,
so I'm pretty stoked.
Ah, yeah, that's the best answer.
Lisa, you got it right?
Was it easy?
Yeah, fairly easy. No issues.
Oh, what do you do, Lisa?
I'm a financial accountant.
I do budgets and balance sheets and forecasts and things.
Sorry, I blacked out for a second there.
Good luck. Thank you.
Let's see what that does to the prize pot.
$27,000.
This is our 60% question.
You have 30 seconds to answer.
Your time starts now.
If you're colourblind
and you can't get this question, that's OK.
Colourblind doesn't mean
you're stupid.
It doesn't help though.
Don't hate me because I'm black.
Five seconds.
OK, time is up.
Here we go.
Moment of truth.
12 out on that one.
12 people.
Let's check the answer.
The answer is D, 'cause its very clearly D.
Not a lot else I can tell you about that one.
If it was a different pattern, it'd be a different answer.
But alas, these are the cards we've been dealt.
G'day, Angela. This is so embarrassing.
Oh, it's not that bad. You lasted a few questions.
Yes.
There's a lot of people did worse than you.
Not much worse, but a lot of people.
So what do you do?
I'm a naturopath. Are you here with anyone?
My twin Bernadette.
Are you the smarter one out of the two?
Apparently so. Not apparently.
It's a fact.
What's your superpower?
I have photographic memory.
Like if I saw all these questions before I came in, I put 'em...
Yeah, but you didn't. I would've remembered them.
I didn't. No.
These are written by a couple of boffins in a room over there.
Oh, they're an awkward group, the question writers.
Oh, they don't make eye contact with you.
They're going "If Jenny has seven dogs," and I think...
OK, let's take a look at the prize pot.
Ring it up.
$39,000.
That means we have 39 people
who have already been knocked out while 61 still remain in the game,
clinging onto their $1,000.
Now, you 61 have a chance to buy a pass.
If you don't know an answer, you can spend your $1,000
to pass on a question and move on to the next round.
That money then goes into the prize pot.
You can only use it once and you can't use your pass
on the 1% question.
If you're feeling clever, you can hold onto that $1,000
and later you'll get a chance to take it home.
Good? Great. Let's keep going.
(APPLAUSE)
This is our 50% question.
You have 30 seconds to answer.
Your time starts now.
I have a more important question.
Do I still have to get these people Christmas presents?
15 seconds.
Ten seconds.
Five seconds.
OK, time is up.
Let's see who got it right.
After this break.
We're back on the 1% Club.
We left you hanging on the answer to the 50% question.
To remind you the question was.
How many of you got it right?
We lost six players there.
Six players out.
Let's see the answer.
The answer's father.
This would make 'Star Wars' a lot more confusing.
"Luke, I am your father's mother's sister's only nephew."
"No, that can't be true.
"Oh, wait...
"No!"
(APPLAUSE)
Done a bit acting. Done a bit.
John? Yes.
G'day, John. You went out.
Uh, more importantly, you didn't use your pass.
No. What did you think the answer was?
Uh, general panic with five seconds to go.
Pick one. Pick one. You should have hit your pass.
Shelly. Yeah.
How you used your pass.
Yeah, that was too confusing for me.
Too confusing? Yeah.
Like, I'll be honest with you,
sometimes when I read these questions I'm just reading
and then they go, "Here's the answer."
And I read the answer.
Oh, I still dunno what's going on.
You got some tattoos there? What are they?
I do. So, some are from my travels overseas,
so I've got some skylines.
I've got London, New York,
I've got in Swedish, don't cry because it's over.
Smile because it happened. You got that in Swedish?
Swedish, yeah. Can you show us your arm?
Yeah, that's, yeah, no, that's just the recipe for meatballs.
(LAUGHTER)
So, let's ring up the prize pot.
$53,000.
This brings us to the 45% question.
You have 30 seconds to answer.
Your time starts now.
I'll help you a little bit with this question.
There's no Q's.
Wait, hang on, there's a Q.
Hang on, let me count.
Yeah, no, there's one.
No, don't focus on the Q, but if there's a Q,
there's probably a U.
Ah, boom there's a U.
One, two, nah, it's not U.
It's not Q and U.
Five seconds.
OK, time is up.
Let's see how many of you got it.
We lost three people.
Four people use their pass.
Here's the answer.
The answer is T.
Sarah. Sarah. Sarah. Sarah. What happened?
I just went to vowels and just...
Oh, you thought it was a vowel,
because there's always vowels in words.
Yeah, vowels. And so let me guess.
You would've used E. Yes.
E. Yeah.
Yeah. I think you've used too many E's in your life.
(LAUGHTER)
And it's fried your brain.
G'day, Jenny. Hi, Jim.
You're still in? Yep.
Uh, how are your two boys going?
I reckon they're still both in too, yeap.
Now, out of Matthew and Aidan,
who do you think will go furthest in the quiz?
(LAUGHTER)
Nah, come on, you got to pick one.
I know who I think will go furthest.
Do you? You?
Ohh.
No. I think it's him, probably.
OK. Let's see the prize pot.
$60,000.
This is the 40% question.
As always, you have 30 seconds to answer
and your time starts now.
Looks like they're making a nice pizza,
although some people don't like pineapple and pizza
and don't get me started on the nappies.
In Italy, they're like we don't use the nappies on the pizza.
We're using the diapers and we give the baby
a little bit of wine and then we teach them
how to cat-call the other babies, like hey, baby.
What are you up to?
Time is up.
Moment of truth.
Who got it right.
None of you got it wrong.
Alright. None of you got it wrong.
No one used their pass either.
Let's see the answer, you already know the answer,
but let's see the answer.
The answer is grapes.
Turns out it was really easy.
The prize pot doesn't change.
Fast game's a good game. Let's go on to the next question.
This is the 35% question.
You have 30 seconds to answer.
Your time starts now.
They say standard dice.
Now, these dice have standard numbers,
but they're not standard size.
Look at 'em.
They're huge.
I took 'em home with me and my rear-vision mirror fell off.
Five seconds.
Time is up, how did we do?
12 people are out.
Let's see the answer.
That's a three, five, six,
one, two, four, 21.
We're actually showing all sides of the dice.
You didn't even have to use your imagination, just your eyes.
All the numbers were there.
Emma.
Hi. Out.
Yes, dammit.
Are you going to blame it on baby brain or is it just out?
No. Yeah, that's a good idea, it was baby brain.
Yeah, baby brain. No. Oh, poor you.
Kate. Hello.
You used your pass. I was a bit sleep deprived
and I didn't read the question correctly and I just gave up.
Yeah, but you used your pass, that's the good thing to do.
I know, but I'm disappointed 'cause now that I'm reading it,
I'm like, it's very obvious.
I get, yeah, it is obvious with the answer.
Hello, Kristy. Hello.
Kristy, you used your pass.
Yeah, I saw the dice and my brain just shut down.
I just that rainbow wheel.
You have a rainbow wheel in your head
that just goes do-do-do-do-do-do-dodo-do-do.
Uh, you have kids, husband?
I'm pregnant at the moment. Oh, you're pregnant too?
Yeah. Is this your first?
Yeah, first. And it's a boy. Oh, it's a boy. Congratulations.
Thank you. It's always exciting, your first.
OK. We lost 12.
Seven used their passes.
Let's see what's that does to the prize pot.
75,000.
We have $75,000 in the prize pot
and 40 players still in the running for up to $100,000.
Stick with us on the 1% Club.
Welcome back to the 1% Club.
The current prize pot is at $75,000.
But here's a twist.
Everyone started with $1,000.
Some players spent that money on a pass.
But, if you still have your money,
you can give up and take your $1,000 home.
This is your only chance to take it.
So here are the players who still have their $1,000.
You, 25 can take your $1,000 and cash out.
Or take on the 1% question for a chance to win up to $100,000.
(APPLAUSE)
It's time to decide.
Two people have chosen to leave.
Adi, you took your 1,000.
I did, indeed. Yep. Why?
Well, because I'm planning on going down to Crown
and putting it all on black.
That's the most Australian answer I've ever heard.
Congratulations. Adi, everyone, took the 1,000.
The rest of you still have your $1,000.
You can buy a pass up to the 5% question.
So, keep that in mind as we move on.
This is the 30% question.
You have 30 seconds to answer.
Your time starts now.
I like to let my mind wander during questions like this,
like what kind of bird is big bird?
What would he taste like?
If I was on 'Sesame Street',
would I cook him up for Christmas and share him with Oscar the Grouch?
He had every reason to be grouchy.
He lived in a bin.
All things considered.
He was quite chipper.
Time is up. Let's see who got it right.
Ten people are out.
16 used their pass.
Let's see the answer.
The answer is North.
Bird, third.
Fourth North.
Ah, so they're all fun rhymes.
This question was written by a truck tit,
which is a small bird from Africa that migrates north for the winter.
Fly free truck tit.
Kristy, from the Gold Coast pregnant, you got it wrong.
I actually knew the answer, but I clicked the wrong button.
Oh, you hit the wrong button. Yeah.
Well, I have a surprise for you.
If you look at the screen,
we are gonna show you the moment you pushed the wrong button.
You are going to be a meme.
Oh, that sucks.
(LAUGHTER)
Lisa, you didn't get the answer and you didn't use your pass.
I forgot I had a pass.
Did you think you think you were going to go further?
Yeah, no, I thought about cashing out.
Yeah, you didn't though. Yeah, my bad.
Hello Sam, how are you, mate? Oh, not too bad, Jim.
I'm loving the mullet, son. Get in there.
I like it, let it flow.
Oh, mate. You passed.
Yeah. But you're still in the game.
Yeah, still in the game, so...
Now, what will you do with a $100,000.
Mate, well, I'd like to say, that I'd spend it on drugs and booze,
but I've got a mortgage, a young family,
and another kid on the way,
so I'll definitely have to spend it on drugs and booze.
(LAUGHTER)
It's good talking to you, Sam.
OK. What does that do to the kitty.
$93,000.
Here is the 25% question.
You have 30 seconds to answer Your time starts now.
It's one of these colours.
Don't go making up your own colours.
I don't wanna read any answers like ultramarine,
light puce, eggshell, white.
They're the same eggshell and white are the same.
How did eggshell get its own colour?
Eggs are so many different colours.
I've seen eggs with spots on 'em.
I've travelled the world.
Five seconds.
OK, time is up.
Let's see who got it right.
We lost nine people in that one.
Two people used their pass.
Let's see the answer.
The answer's blue.
The zero goes in the blue box because it has four letters,
and also it has depression.
People keep telling it, it's worth nothing.
Jenny, you're out. Yeah.
Sorry about that.
But, uh, your boys are still in.
Yeah.
Go, boys. Whoo.
I'm gonna go out in a limb and say your husband's rather tall.
Yeah. Not as tall as they are. Not as tall as them.
Uh, my ex-husband. Oh, your ex-husband?
Yeah.
Do you wanna give him the finger on camera?
(LAUGHTER)
(APPLAUSE)
OK. Let's see what that does to the prize pot.
Oh, $95,000.
Who wants the next question.
ALL: Yeah.
Alright, here is our 20% question.
You have 30 seconds to answer.
Your time starts now.
What a fun show.
Aren't you having fun?
You can tell it's a fun show
because you have to calculate GST, what exciting television.
After this, we are going over your receipts
and calculating your deductions.
Five seconds.
OK, time is up. How did we go, team?
We lost eight people there. Eight people. No passes were used.
Let's see the answer.
That question wasn't that hard.
To make it harder,
we put a picture of a good-looking guy to distract you.
Oh, Kosta.
Kate, how you doing?
Pretty sad and disappointed in myself, but we're here.
OK. It was good playing with you.
Brayden, mate.
You were doing well?
Yeah, I was. Uh, what happened?
I was distracted by the handsome man.
(LAUGHTER)
You and me both.
Ah, Jai, you still have your pass.
You're one of two people who still have their pass.
Ah, awesome.
That means you're a front runner. Great.
Yeah, excited, eh? Pretty exciting, yeah.
What do you do, mate?
I am an agent for actors and performers.
The agency's most prominent person probably is Margot Robbie.
Really? Never heard of her. What does she do?
(LAUGHTER)
You're doing very well, mate, you're a front runner.
Thanks. Still got your pass.
Thank you. And Louie?
Yeah. You are the two.
You are the two people with the pass.
Uh, you found this one easy?
Uh, yeah. I don't know why it just came to me.
I have a job for you. Yeah.
Queen Cover band.
(LAUGHTER)
Moving on, folks.
Moving on.
Ring up the prize pot.
$96,000.
When we come back, 11 players are still competing
for a prize pot of $96,000 and growing.
This is the 1% club.
Welcome back to the 1% Club.
Only 11 players remain, and our prize pot sits at $96,000.
Let's keep it going.
This is the 15% question.
You have 30 seconds to answer.
Your time starts now.
Sometimes when I don't know the answer,
I make up my own question and answer it.
Like, what number am I thinking of?
Six?
No, I was thinking of seven.
Ohh.
Five seconds.
OK, time is up.
Let's see who got it right.
Three players are out.
What was the answer?
30.
27, 28, 29.
30.
Hello, Kai, how are you?
Pretty good, how are you?
I'm good, you look very young. How old are you?
I'm 19. Oh, man.
I remember being 19.
What do you do, mate?
Uh, I'm, I'm an actor at the moment.
Yeah.
And, uh, what type of actor do you model yourself on?
Who would you like to be?
Leonardo DiCaprio. Really?
Yeah, why not?
You're too old for him to date now.
What are you going to do with the money if you win?
Oh, far out? I'll probably go.
I wanna go travelling. I'll be wanting to go to Europe.
Yeah, you wanna go to Europe? Don't go to America.
You can't drink again.
Now, 19.
What would I have done with $100,000 at 19?
I'd be dead, mate.
Yeah.
Jai, you're the only one with a pass, how are you feeling?
Pretty stoked.
I didn't think that I would be someone
who would be the last person with a pass.
You can't use the pass on the 1% question,
but you can use it on the 5% question.
We only have two questions.
We have 10%, 5% left.
Mm-hmm. You have a pass.
There is a very good chance you're going to the final round.
We said goodbye to three players that round.
One person used their pass.
Let's see what that's done to fatten up the prize pot.
$97,000.
Let's keep going.
This is the 10% question.
You have 30 seconds to answer.
Your time starts now.
Real question here.
Does Shanique own the entire bottom floor,
or are there other rooms to rent?
Because those apartments are always cheaper, aren't they?
Because they're on the ground floor.
But I don't mind those apartments 'cause I'm big into ankles.
Sure, you don't get as much sunlight,
but I watch the ankles go back and forth.
That's my TV.
OK, time is up.
Let's see how you all did.
Four people out.
We lost four people.
No passes are left.
Here comes the answer.
There are no passes left
because Jai didn't use his pass and he is ducked out of the quiz.
Well done, Jai, you did really good.
Thanks. Well-played game, mate.
(APPLAUSE)
Matthew, Aidan?
Yes. Yep.
My brainiac boys.
Look at you go.
The two of you.
How are you both doing it?
Been lucky, there's been a few maths questions in a row,
which is...
Oh, you're a big math guy, are you?
Yeah. Are you a math guy, as well?
Yeah, but he's more of a maths guy.
Is that what he used to fight over as kids?
Louie? Yeah.
Louie, one more question at the 1%.
How are you feeling? I'm lucky it's smaller numbers.
I'm good with small numbers,
but the last question in the 20s, no idea.
Kai, you're, you've been the quiet achiever of the game.
Yeah, I guess I have, yeah.
You are one question away from the 1% question,
do you think you'll get it?
Maybe.
I'm hoping.
OK.
Our prize pot has hit the maximum for tonight,
a staggering $98,000.
When we get back, our final four compete for $98,000.
Keep watching the 1% Club.
Welcome back to the 1% Club.
We are down to our last four players,
and the prize pot has reached $98,000.
Let's keep going.
This is the 5% round.
Only 5% of Aussies got this right.
Will you be one of them.
You have 30 seconds to answer.
Your time starts now.
I actually have a statement I need to make.
Apparently, there's a video going around that shows me,
oh, hang on, you've got it.
The only copy.
Never mind.
I've never been to the aquarium.
Time is up.
For a shot at the 1% question.
Let's see who got it right.
We lost two players,
meaning Matthew, Louie,
you're going onto the 1% question.
(APPLAUSE)
But first let's see the answer.
Aidan?
I got it after the time ran out.
Yeah, that's part of the game though, isn't it?
Yeah. Uh, you're going home with nothing.
Oh, well.
But you still have your brother. Yes.
You be nice to him, get a few bucks.
Yeah, bit of incentive.
Mum, this one's the dud.
Matthew's my favourite, now.
(LAUGHTER)
Kai, mate, you came far.
Didn't happen for you.
No, not quite.
Well done, mate. You played a great game.
Give him a round of applause.
(APPLAUSE)
Congratulations, Matthew.
Congratulations, Louie.
You have made it to the 1% question.
Please join me on the floor.
(APPLAUSE)
Congratulations on making it to the 1% question.
Louie, did you expect to make it this far?
No, I did not.
Really? No.
It seemed like you're a fairly bright fella.
Uh, I know some people think landscapers are dumb.
They're dumb.
You're smart, don't put yourself down, Louie.
You want a hug.
Yeah. If you win the money.
OK.
Matthew, did you expect to make it this far?
Had a dream, but not an expectation.
The worst Martin Luther King speech ever.
By making it to the 1% question, you have won a share of $10,000.
Which split between you is $5,000 each.
Now, you can take that money home
or you can take a shot at the 1% question
and win a share of the entire prize pot,
which stands at $98,000.
Take a moment and think about your choice.
You both decided to play on.
(APPLAUSE)
Well done, lads.
I'm loving it.
Louie, Matthew, time for the final question.
Only 1% of Australians answered this correctly.
Are you confident, Louie?
Yes, I'm confident.
Good. I'd love to hear it.
Are you confident, Matthew? Not really.
Too late, now? Yeah.
Here is the 1% question.
You have 30 seconds to answer.
Your time starts now.
15 seconds.
Five seconds.
Time is up.
Matthew, Louie,
what are your answers?
I did E and I.
I wasn't really sure.
E and I.
Louie?
UR.
Louie, Matthew,
you have both given us different answers.
If one of you is right,
you'll go home with the entire prize pot of $98,000
or you are both wrong,
and you'll both go home with nothing.
The answer is...
Louie. Come on.
Louie. Come on.
This means Louie has won $98,000.
How do you feel, mate?
Oh, I'm ecstatic.
Sadly, Matthew, that means you go home with nothing,
but you played a great game.
Ah, you proud of him? Yes.
Yeah, you did a great game, mate.
Let's have a look how the UR fits in.
Let's give another huge round of applause for Matthew
and congratulations, Louie.
You get go home with $98,000.
Welcome to the 1% Club.
That's all we have time for tonight.
We'll see you next time
when someone might walk away with $100,000 on the 1% Club.
