[Episode 11]

Where is she?

She?

Who is she?

I take the money, so I do my job.

Say that again.

I take the money, so I do my job.

It's you!

We knew each other before, bro.

No wonder you looked familiar.

You spent that money quite fast.

Well, so...

We know clearly when, where,

and what you bought.

I'll give you a choice.

Tell us now, or tell us at Jingzhao Prefecture.

Then I'll definitely tell you now.

I know. You're looking for that lady.

Yes. I... I do remember that lady.

But I really don't know where she is. We were just about to catch her,

but a swordsman suddenly appeared and rescued her.

Why were you after her?

A while ago, Chixie Gang landed on a big deal.

The client paid a high price just to catch that lady.

Do you know her identity?

No, I don't.

Come on. I really don't know.

The client only gave us a location, and said they'd tell us when to take action.

What did the swordsman who saved her look like?

That... That swordsman...

Go!

The swordsman looked ordinary. He was neither tall nor short.

But his swordsmanship was superb. He struck as fast as lightning.

The rest? We didn't see clearly.

And then you continued to chase her,

forcing her off the cliff?

No.

That swordsman was incredibly skilled.

After a few rounds, we knew we couldn't beat him, so we backed off.

One last question.

Who was your client?

I smell a strong scent of jasmine.

Is it incense?

The gardener is here to deliver flowers.

The master uses seasonal flowers to make fragrant beads every season.

How old is your master?

I do not know. He looks about twenty.

He is so young.

That is not what I expected.

I thought he would be an old man.

Our master just got married.

He is a talented young man, well-versed in Six Arts.

In the Capital, everyone knows...

If there is nothing else, I shall take my leave.

Master Wang. Watch out for the moss.

Alright. I've got it.

This jasmine is quite refreshing.

Thank you for your praise, My Lady.

I specially selected double-petaled two-colored jasmine.

The master wants to make fragrant beads. They are also beautiful to look at.

It is quite unique.

Have you worked here for long?

No, I am a florist from the eastern suburbs.

I deliver 20 pots of flowers here every other month.

Just to get by.

Would you like to earn some extra money?

Does My Lady also need flowers?

Please come here.

Yes, My Lady.

Help me deliver a message to the Capital.

After it's done, I'll pay you 100 guans.

What message do you want to send, and to whom, My Lady?

Why is there still no news?

Your Highness.

Why do you look so flustered?

I just saw the Jingzhao Office's guards on the street, heading out of the city.

It seems like something big has happened.

It actually became so serious?

Your Highness?

- Where is His Highness? - I heard His Highness went to Songyue Villa.

Get the carriage ready now.

Yes.

Songyue Villa?

Is this the right way?

It should be.

How do you know?

Didn't Your Highness ask me to check?

You said he'll either be home or in the palace, playing the zither.

You didn't know where else he would go.

Did I say that?

Your Highness! Your Highness, are you alright?

Can you even handle a carriage?

What happened?

Your Highness.

Someone is lying in the road. He is covered in blood.

Go around him.

Wait.

Your Highness, there is news of Her Highness.

Your Highness, do you know him?

No.

If not, why did you save him?

I couldn't just leave him to die.

This...

Go away!

Yes.

His Triple Burner Meridian flows in reverse.

His Qihai is blocked.

How did he get injured so badly?

Did you abuse him?

Why would I know?

Just focus on treating him.

You... why are you undressing him?

How do you expect me to treat him, otherwise?

How do you feel, My Lady?

Tell Mo Jing Li to come see me.

Your eyes are cured.

Do you feel unwell anywhere else?

You are badly injured.

Does it hurt?

I'll ask the doctor to check on you again.

I didn't mean to hide it from you.

I was afraid that if you knew it was me,

you wouldn't be able to focus on your recovery.

I just wanted you to recover.

Li.

Don't look at me like that, okay?

I'm leaving.

- But you haven't fully recovered yet. - I said,

I'm leaving.

Li.

Li, I was wrong. Please don't be angry.

You refused to talk to me, so I had no choice.

I heard that you went to Zhengyi Temple.

I wanted to see you.

But when I arrived, you were already inside the temple.

So I waited outside.

I waited for days before you came out.

But...

But you were with him.

I was going to leave, but then you were attacked.

By the time I arrived, you had already fallen off the cliff.

Li.

Do you know how I felt

when I saw you in danger?

How did you feel?

Have you ever thought about how Ye Ying would feel

while you are here with me?

I didn't want to marry her.

Mo Jing Li!

I will say it one more time.

Stay away from me.

Li. Li, don't go.

Li. You haven't fully recovered yet. Li!

Your injuries...

Li.

Li. Li, your injuries...

Mo Jing Li.

I have already made it clear.

I have nothing to do with you anymore.

Please do not show up before me again. Do you not understand?

What would have happened to you if I hadn't shown up?

You fell off a cliff, got poisoned, and were injured.

I was the one who saved you.

I didn't need you to save me.

Why?

You don't know why?

Mo Jing Li.

Before I left the mountain, I told myself to act as if we had never met.

Please do not push me anymore.

I see.

You are blaming me for their deaths.

You want to kill me to avenge them.

Right?

Come on. Kill me.

Come on, kill me!

You're crazy!

Li?

Li, you didn't leave?

Li.

You still care about me, don't you?

Don't worry.

I wouldn't die so easily.

I was a glutton when I was young.

I loved sweets.

I always had a toothache.

Brother Guan once taught me a way to relieve the pain.

He said to press the Hegu acupoint at the base of the thumb.

Apply a bit of pressure when pressing.

Each time, press it dozens of times,

and it will restore the flow and relieve the pain.

Whether it's a toothache, a bruise or an injury on your body,

it's a good way to try.

I heard he died under a hail of arrows.

Did it hurt when he died?

Did he have time to press the Hegu acupoint?

Brother Chen loved children the most.

When he learned his wife was pregnant,

he was so happy he couldn't sleep.

This year, his child is eight years old.

But his child doesn't even know what his father looked like.

Brother Zhou was the youngest.

He was only 12 back then.

He liked you so much

that he volunteered to escort you.

Mo Jing Li.

They all died because of you.

I was from Li Mountain Academy.

I can never forgive you.

Li.

- Listen to me. - I don't want to hear your excuses.

I don't want to hear a single word.

You should be glad that you broke off the engagement.

Otherwise, I might have killed you myself on our wedding day.

Tell those out there to move away.

I'm leaving.

Nobody moves!

The Jingzhao Office is handling a case under orders.

Everyone, stay where you are.

- Li. - Anyone who disobeys will be arrested.

- Your Highness. - Li.

- Li! Li! - Your Highness.

You're injured.

It's nothing.

Let's go.

You're awake.

It's you?

Stop playing weak. Get up.

Who else would it be but me?

And you called yourself a master?

If it weren't for me, you would have died on the roadside.

You are a noble lady from a family of officials and you're married to a prince.

But why are you so mean?

How did you know?

I took your job,

and you think I don't know who I am working for?

You investigated me?

Tell me.

Is she dead or not?

Do you want her dead very much?

I don't care.

I just want an answer.

Just tell me now.

What happened to her?

She fell off the cliff.

But I didn't push her.

She slipped and fell on her own.

She's dead?

Someone saved her.

Can't you just say it all at once?

You hired me to go after her,

yet now you look like you don't want her dead.

None of your business.

This is settled. It has nothing to do with you anymore.

Take care.

They are back. Hurry!

Li--

She's still asleep.

You should go back first.

Okay.

There was another group of assassins in the woods.

Lady, do you like this one?

- There's more. - Come here.

Not bad. Let me see that one.

Alright.

Did those two tables pay?

- Yes. - Master.

- Are you here for a meal or staying the night? - I'm looking for someone.

Looking for someone?

Who are you looking for?

An injured young man.

I heard from the doctor at Renyi Clinic that he is staying here.

I'm his friend. I'm here to see him.

I remember now.

- Take me to him. - This way, please.

This way, Master. Watch your step.

This is perfect. He is looking for you.

My stall!

Who on earth are you?

Your friend.

Your Highness.

Your Highness, are you there?

Where did she go now?

Her Highness probably went out.

Your Highness. You didn't sleep well last night.

Why don't you go back and get some sleep?

Go find her.

Yes.

Tao Er.

Your Highness.

Where is Princess Ding?

Her Highness left early this morning.

She went to Shende House. Qing Yu went with her.

Go find her.

Yes.

- Look at this. - This one is good.

- The quality is quite good. - Take a look at this one.

- It suits you well. - Come and take a look.

What could be so urgent

that you had to go yourself?

You've just suffered so much, and you haven't fully recovered yet,

but you're already rushing out.

Tanghulu!

Tanghulu!

Two sticks of tanghulu, please.

Coming right up.

Aren't you Li Zhao, the guard?

How are you? Are you badly hurt?

I'm fine. Just a flesh wound.

Where is he?

He's inside.

Wait for me here.

Yes.

It's him, right?

Did you interrogate him?

I didn't.

We just exchanged a few moves.

And he was already injured.

Don't worry. He won't die.

Wake him up.

Bro, wake up.

Who sent you to kill me?

It's you.

You escaped, too?

I'm still alive, thanks to you.

Was it you who saved me on the ox cart back then?

Yes.

I didn't know it was you back then.

But why didn't you say anything?

Seeking rewards for kindness is tacky.

I don't like it.

Besides, it's not weird for someone like you to stab me in the back, right?

I didn't want to hurt you back then.

I didn't know you were Princess Ding.

Then tell me who asked you to do this.

You won't tell me?

The next cut

will land right here.

I'm sorry. It's my fault.

You saved me, but I tried to hurt you.

I owe you my life.

It's only right if you want to take it.

It was that stupid woman.

It was...

She didn't actually want to kill you.

I messed up.

What should I do with him?

As you want.

As I want?

He won't tell us.

What do we do next?

That woman is plotting against you.

If we don't catch her now, she will do it again.

I think I know who it is.

This is Princess Li. Who dares to stop her?

You can leave now.

Your Highness, may I ask why you wish to see His Highness?

This is Prince Li's Mansion. I am Princess Li.

Do I need a reason to see His Highness?

You are absolutely right, Your Highness.

But His Highness is discussing important matters.

If you insist on going inside, I'm afraid it won't be appropriate.

Dancing and singing while discussing matters?

Is it really an important matter, or just an excuse not to see me?

Move aside!

[Tingyue House] This is Western grape wine.

One jar is worth a whole house.

Then we must drink more.

Let's drink his entire house away!

- Exactly! - Come on.

- Drink it. - Your Highness.

Is she your princess?

She's quite feisty.

I've heard Princess Li is a great beauty.

Now that I've seen you, you're truly remarkable.

Why don't you join us for a drink?

She has such a temper.

Your Highness. Do you hate me that much?

While my father begged you to marry me,

you broke your previous engagement first.

If you didn't want to marry me, you could have refused.

Now that you've married me, I am your rightful princess.

Why do you have to embarrass me?

Are you even listening to me?

Don't be mad, Your Highness.

Calm down.

Here. Cheers.

Get out!

Get out!

- Get out! - Let's go!

Go!

Get out!

Hurry!

So, Mo Jing Li saved you?

It was Master Zhu.

Master Zhu?

I fell off the cliff. My life was hanging by a thread.

I thought I would surely be smashed to pieces.

[Li Mountain Academy] [Master Zhu]

Fortunately, Master Zhu showed up in time and saved me.

He used a branch as a sword to kill the venomous snakes at the bottom of the cliff.

But there were too many. I still got bitten.

Then I passed out.

Li Mountain has been sealed for a long time.

How did Master Zhu leave the mountain?

Besides, Master Zhu is a swordsman. He never goes anywhere without his sword.

Why did he need to use a branch as a sword?

I don't know either.

Things are not good for Li Mountain now.

If anyone knows that Master Zhu left the mountain, Master Zhu will be in big trouble.

I will search all the taverns and inns along the way.

Pay attention recently.

Also, get better soon.

Grandmother's birthday banquet is coming up.

I have to trouble you to do me another favor.

[Ye's Mansion]

On a hot day, you bring me such scalding tea?

Have you lost your mind?

Madam, I'll replace it right away.

Madam, someone delivered a letter.

[Pang]

Why don't you just die? So many people die every day.

They die of hunger, illness, or beating, or get torn apart.

But why are you still alive?

I'm living the best life now.

How could I bear to leave you?

Yuan.

You're just pretending to be tough.

If I really died, you would be heartbroken.

Yuan. Why are you so mad?

This is the last time.

That's what you said last time.

Yuan.

Ying Er married Prince Li and became Princess Li.

How has she been lately?

Don't you dare mention Ying Er.

I'm warning you.

If you dare go near her, I'll kill you.

Fine, I won't mention her.

Yuan.

I didn't want to go to Ye's Mansion to see you.

But Shende House has a new manager.

The shops hired new employees.

I really had no other choice, so I had to do this.

You went to Shende House?

- Yeah. - Then you...

Don't worry.

They have a new manager and new employees.

I immediately noticed something was wrong.

I wouldn't walk right inside.

Yuan.

You're my lucky charm.

You're my lifesaver.

Of course, I always consider you first.

At least you did use your brain.

I'm a genuine scholar.

If you hadn't been so heartless, abandoned me,

left me heartbroken, and made me lose my way,

I would have passed the exam and become a high-ranking official.

I would have ended up like this.

Who are you?

What do you want?

- Mr. Li. - I just want to ask Madam Ye to do us a favor.

Do you know where we went today?

It... It was Mr. Li's residence.

I went to Shende House with Your Highness?

Then what did we do today?

We went to check the shops and the accounts.

Your Highness.

Your Highness, you're finally back.

What's wrong?

We haven't seen you all day.

His Highness is worried sick. He sent many people to look for you.

Hurry and go back.

Your Highness. We still haven't found the Princess.

- Keep looking. - Yes.

Don't be too anxious. Maybe Li is already on her way back.

Your Highness. Her Highness is back.

Why did you come back so late? Where have you been?

Sorry to make you worried, Sister-in-law.

I'm fine. I was just walking around.

You're still injured. You shouldn't have gone out.

What should we do, Your Highness?

Watch your mouth.

Close the door.

Honestly, where did you two go today?

We went to Shende House to check the accounts.

Nonsense. I went to Shende House twice today.

My men are still waiting outside Shende House. They didn't see you at all.

His Highness is really furious this time.

Her Highness is in trouble.

Will His Highness hit Her Highness? Will he scold her?

Based on what I know about His Highness,

he wouldn't hit or scold her.

But for the next few days, he probably won't speak to her.

And he might give her the cold shoulder for a while.

Your Highness.

Don't you have anything to say to me?

I...

Where do you think you are?

Li Mountain?

The Taoist temple?

Where you can come and go as you please?

Ye Li,

you want to go outside to do what you want, and you want to open a shop.

I have never interfered with that.

You left for the mountain as you wanted,

staying for four or five days, without sending a single word.

I didn't stop you either.

But something happened to you.

You were barely saved yesterday.

It's still unclear who is after you.

It's still unclear whether the same thing will happen again.

And you've been gone for a whole day today, completely out of touch.

Do you think you're a wandering knight?

Let me explain.

Don't go!

How dare you!

Jin, come here.

Don't move.

Weren't you the one who came here in a rage to question me?

But why do you refuse to hear my explanation?

I want to tell you now. Will you hear me out?

You are quiet.

Then I'll take that as a yes.

I'll do it myself.

You tried to push it with your injured hands?

I told you, His Highness can't give her the cold shoulder.

Her Highness wouldn't allow it.

What do you think?

What's your explanation? I'm listening.

Do you want to know about my relationship with Prince Li?

I don't.

You have to, even if you don't.

Because I want to say it.

Mo Jing Li and I have known each other since childhood.

He was sent to Li Mountain to recover, and we grew up together.

Later, the late emperor bestowed our marriage.

In the 14th year of Jinghe, the late emperor fell gravely ill.

The late crown prince summoned Mo Jing Li back to the Capital.

My grandfather was worried about him,

so he sent 18 disciples of Master Zhu to escort him back to the Capital.

[On the Next Episode]

Your leg injury has been left untreated for too long.

The bones need to be broken and reset.

Breaking bones is very painful.

I am not afraid of pain.

You trust me very much?

I trust you, so I let you treat me.

There is no harm in trying.

It cannot get any worse than this.

I will definitely cure you.
