(Episode 11)

Li Mo, help him up.

Master, Grandmistress once sealed you away using the Heavenbreaker Seal.

Right now, that very same seal is the only item

we can use to seal her away completely without hurting you.

Master, please issue an order to activate the seal.

You guys may return first.

- But Master... - Go back.

Hurry and get up.

But Master...

Elder?

(Although I didn't do it of my own accord,)

(I did inherit his techniques after all.)

(I should pay my respect to him.)

(Tomb of Human Cultivator, Xiao Jing Shan)

Lady.

Lady?

Where are you?

I'm here.

Lady.

Lady, you must've suffered.

I've brought you some fruits that I've harvested.

Have this to keep yourself from starving.

What exactly happened?

How did you offend Grandmaster out of nowhere?

Please tell me about it.

This has nothing to do with you.

Stop asking me that and never come again.

Lady,

I suppose you have no idea.

Initially, Grandmaster wanted to send you back to Yuewu Courtyard.

But Immortal Long Yuan kept causing trouble.

I don't know what he did, but he stopped Grandmaster from setting you free.

Lady, I suppose you don't know Immortal Long Yuan well.

He's Grandmaster's lead disciple.

He has the worst temper among the members of Canglei Hall.

We've cursed him out in private plenty of times.

This time, for some reason,

he insisted on targeting you.

Why don't you tell me what happened?

What if I can do something to help you out?

I can't just allow him to bully you like that.

Just let him be.

Can't you change your temper for once?

Grandmaster has already allowed you to continue imprisoning Li Qing Yue.

Why are you still trying to cause trouble?

Master will continue facing a huge threat

until Grandmistress has been vanquished.

I'm doing this for Master's own good.

We have to seal her away with the Heavenbreaker Seal as soon as possible.

Grandmistress and Li Qing Yue are two different people.

Immortal Cang Tu, you might be able to deceive others with your words.

But I witnessed the conflict between Grandmistress and Master back then.

Grandmistress is very cunning. And, she's best at disguising herself.

That was already the case 400 years ago.

She pretended to be on good terms with Master,

yet she stabbed him with the Frostscale Dagger during their wedding.

And later, she sealed him away for 100 years.

I'm sure she pretended to be a mortal to approach Master this time.

You guys were careless and trusted the wrong person before.

That's why Master was seriously wounded.

If so, have you ever considered this?

If Li Qing Yue was indeed a mortal,

she'll perish under the Heavenbreaker Seal.

You're pretty compassionate, aren't you?

Could it be that you've forgotten

that this realm contains the Infinite Stele?

Master's duty is to protect the stele.

His safety concerns the fate of the Nine Heavens.

For the peace of the Nine Heavens,

it's better to kill the wrong person than to let the guilty go free.

If anything goes wrong,

the Three Realms shall be plunged into eternal chaos.

Master, I'm begging you to seal Four Spirits Grandmistress away.

Do not give her a chance to stage a comeback.

Venerable Grandmaster,

you and Four Spirits Grandmistress

are two primordial essences born of the Primordial God.

Since the dawn of creation,

both you and her have been nourished by

the aura of Heaven and Earth and worshipped by all sentient beings.

Back then, after she sealed you away,

she disregarded Heaven's grace, turned her back to the people,

stole heavenly artifacts, laid waste to our realm,

and acted against the natural order.

The crimes she had committed were too numerous to be recorded.

Venerable Hao Tian is right.

If Four Spirits Grandmistress stages a comeback,

the Nine Heavens will be doomed.

- We mustn't keep her around. - Indeed.

Venerable Grandmaster, go and seal her away.

You and she have shared both companionship and strife for millennia.

Why couldn't you seal her away today?

What if Four Spirits Grandmistress's primordial spirit is already gone?

If she's a mere mortal,

she'll perish under the Heavenbreaker Seal.

What if killing her was a mistake?

What should we do, then?

Killing her in exchange for the peace of six other realms,

it's a worthy trade. She should be grateful.

It's easy for you to say.

What if you were her? Would you be willing to sacrifice yourself like that?

Naturally.

If she's truly Four Spirits Grandmistress,

Venerable Grandmaster,

you're essentially letting a threat go unchecked.

Will you take responsibility if the Nine Heavens were to face a calamity?

If so, I shall.

Since I already killed her once,

I'm sure I can kill her twice.

Moreover,

this is a private affair between us.

You guys don't need to worry about us.

Greetings, Xuan Heaven Envoy.

I have something to discuss with Venerable Grandmaster.

- Understood. - Understood.

Envoy, I assume you're here because of Grandmistress.

The Xuan Heaven doesn't care about her existence.

What we care about is you.

Venerable Grandmaster,

will you forget your responsibility and duty...

To protect the Infinite Stele

and guard the entrance to the Three Realms, right?

I've never forgotten about that.

I've set up a barrier around the Infinite Stele.

No one can destroy it

as long as I'm alive.

That's for the best.

If something happens to the Infinite Stele

due to the way you handle your worldly affairs,

Xuan Heaven will act.

By then, she won't be the only one who will be punished.

That will never happen.

You and Four Spirits Grandmistress co-exist with Heaven and Earth.

For thousands of years, you two had shared love and bloodshed.

You know her the best.

I'm sure you know the best whether she's Four Spirits Grandmistress or not.

Didn't I tell you not to come here again?

That won't do.

You're a mortal. You'll grow hungry.

I've been so mad for the past few days.

Long Yuan and his gang knelt in front of Grandmaster,

begging him to seal you away with the Heavenbreaker Seal.

In my opinion, he should be sealed away instead.

But Grandmaster will never agree to it.

Not necessarily.

Lady, why did you say that?

Could it be that you are...

Martial Senior Zhang? What are you doing here?

I'm talking to you.

I came here to rescue you.

You're a mere mortal. How did you reach the Nine Heavens?

You're a mortal too.

Aren't you here as well?

Let's escape together.

Answer me first. How did you end up here?

Let's go.

Your spiritual energies are clashing.

You possess both celestial and demon skills.

You took the Heaven-reaching Staircase, right?

How did you know?

Have you lost your mind?

Do you know about the consequences?

You will...

My energies will clash and I'll suffer immense pain.

I know that.

Qing Yue, I'm not afraid of that.

Let's go.

Master.

Grandmaster forbade you to enter.

Get out of the way.

Long Yuan, do not stir up trouble.

As if.

I'll chop you up if anything happens to Master!

This...

Don't fall behind.

Since when were you this powerful?

We can talk about it somewhere safe.

We should hurry and leave now.

Martial Senior!

Martial Senior!

I'm fine. Let's hurry and leave.

Come here.

What are you doing?

Don't come near me!

How dare you point your sword at me?

Li Qing Yue.

You're quite bold, aren't you?

Don't come near me!

Yue.

Will you only be satisfied

when I die?

I don't know what you're talking about.

What have I done wrong

for you to corner me like this?

I don't know what you're talking about.

You said that you fancied me.

You said you would forsake your eternal lifespan

for us to lead a normal life in the Mortal Realm.

I've never said that before.

Though the decades spent in the Mortal Realm were harsh,

you said it was worth cherishing more than the past millennium.

I didn't say that.

When we were at the valley of Mount Xiaoqiu,

you and I swore an oath in front of Heaven.

We were to be husband and wife.

We would grow old together and never forsake each other.

It wasn't me.

All of those were fake.

Am I right?

I've told you already. It wasn't me!

I'm Li Qing Yue. My home lies at the foot of Mount Yufan.

My father's surname is Li while my mother's surname is Jiang.

I'm not Four Spirits Grandmistress!

Even now, you insist on pretending to be ignorant?

You're the one pretending to be ignorant here.

I'm Li Qing Yue. I'm not a substitute for anyone else.

You're still pretending, huh?

Qing Yue, watch out!

I'll give you one last chance.

Come with me.

No, I won't.

Martial Senior!

Martial Senior!

Qing Yue, let's run!

Brazen mortals, there's no escape!

Master!

Martial Senior!

Martial Senior?

Are you okay?

I'm okay.

It's all because I was inept.

I was unable to escape with you.

You were implicated because of me.

It wasn't your fault.

I did it of my own accord.

The Heaven-reaching Staircase was created by the demons to defy Heaven.

Why did you make yourself suffer through that?

And, what's with the brimming spiritual energy inside of you?

Qing Yue,

you used the Sun Fruit, right?

I knew you weren't doing well in the Nine Heavens.

You're a member of Jingyun Sect.

I'm your senior.

How could I stand idly by and let other people bully you?

Martial Senior?

Martial Senior, what's wrong?

Martial Senior!

Martial Senior!

This is the Heart-Devouring Pill. Take it, and you'll gain my trust.

You need to retrieve the antidote from me monthly.

If not, the poison will spread throughout your internal organs.

Martial Senior?

Martial Senior Zhang! Zhang Suan!

Someone!

Bai Jiu Si!

Bai Jiu Si!

Master, you had to recuperate due to your serious injuries.

And now, you're utilized your power time and time again.

If this keeps up, you'll never recover from this.

Today,

I'm going to take Hong Lian to the Jade Pool above Xuan Heaven.

Master, I hope you'll rest and recuperate for the next few days.

Go ahead.

What are you doing?

Grandmaster, can you please check on my martial senior?

There's something wrong with him.

So, you lured me here by hurting yourself

just so you could save him?

Grandmaster, please send someone to check on him.

He's in grave condition.

Is Immortal Li Mo still around? Can you please tell him to come?

Are you that concerned about him?

Have you forgotten who your destined cultivation partner is?

Grandmaster,

if I've made you upset before this,

it's all my fault.

If you want me to be a substitute for Four Spirits Grandmistress,

I'll do it.

I'll do it as long as you're willing to save my senior.

Sometimes, you do make me feel like killing you.

Yue,

you always knew how to push my buttons.

Grandmaster, I'll correct all of the mistakes I've made.

Please rescue my martial senior.

What if you have to give up your life in exchange?

All right.

If so, I shall grant you your wish.

Someone will tend to him.

As for us,

it's time for us to end this.

Master, I've already made an announcement for you.

Tomorrow, Four Spirits Grandmistress shall be sealed away

at the Hour of Wu on Tianwu Peak.

Master, I will cross the line and accomplish this goal

even if it means you'll blame me for it.

Even if what she said was true,

even if she was a mere mortal instead of Four Spirits Grandmistress,

she shouldn't be pardoned as she colluded with an outsider to harm you.

Master,

she has already killed you once.

Are you going to give her the chance to kill you again?

If you can't bear to witness it, you may choose to be absent.

But after tomorrow,

no one else in the entire world

will be able to harm you.

No need for that.

I'll seal her away myself.

Don't be impatient.

It's almost time.

Lady Qing Yue,

please.

Grandmaster, Long Yuan has escorted Lady Qing Yue to Tianwu Peak.

Is that really the case?

Why is Grandmistress Si Lin involved all of a sudden?

Let's see what Martial Senior Long Yuan has to say.

Has he located any evidence?

Perhaps so.

Is Lady Qing Yue truly Four Spirits Grandmistress?

Martial Senior Long Yuan is Master's first disciple.

He's also one of the few guys

who has seen Four Spirits Grandmistress before.

If he's saying so, I suppose it's true.

Immortal Long Yuan,

Lady Qing Yue is Grandmaster's destined cultivation partner after all.

Moreover, right now, we don't know whether she's Grandmistress or not.

Even if she's not Grandmistress,

she has committed a heinous sin by colluding with outsiders to harm Master.

Master is the lord of the Nine Heavens.

She has already received a great blessing from the heavens.

She's just a mere mortal.

I can forgive the fact that she's not being grateful.

But she actually brought an assassin with her.

Don't you think she should be executed?

This...

Immortal Long Yuan has a point.

We mustn't keep her here.

That's right. Even the Mortal Realm punishes people for the same deed.

She actually brought a man with him to assassinate Grandmaster.

It's simply unheard of.

She didn't cherish such an excellent opportunity.

She was the one who asked for it.

This medicine can suppress the poison inside you for the time being.

However, the poison has spread throughout your internal organs.

I can only suppress it. I cannot neutralize it.

You can proceed with a treatment after Immortal Li Mo's return.

It's you?

Hurry and come with me. If not, it'll be too late.

What's wrong?

Long Yuan has captured Lady Li.

They said they would seal Lady Li away

with the Heavenbreaker Seal at Tianwu Peak.

Grandmaster's disciples have to form a formation

before the seal can be activated.

After that, the seal will only be completed after

the victim receives 81 heavenly thunder strikes.

Lady Li is a mortal.

How could she withstand that?

Once the formation is activated, she'll be done for.

Are you okay?

I'm fine.

Let's hurry and save Qing Yue.

Grandmaster has arrived.

- Master. - Master.

Master.

What else do you have to say?

Grandmaster, thank you for rescuing my martial senior.

Is that all?

Before this, my master said

that rising to the top in one step isn't a good thing.

Now, it seems like his prophecy has come true.

Grandmaster,

if we have to relive the past,

I would never offer you any bride price.

After my death,

I might encounter Grandmistress in the Nether Realm.

Do you have any messages for her?

I'll deliver the messages myself.

Begin.

Yue, I'll ask you one last time.

Are you willing to tell me the truth?

Master, stop hesitating!

Hurry and cast your spell!

Grandmaster, don't forget.

You must deliver my martial senior back to Jingyun Sect.

Qing Yue!

Brazen mortal, how dare you seek death?

You guys are trying to murder my martial junior. Of course I have to come!

Qing Yue!

Go now.

Sunseeker!

I'll ask you one last time.

Are you Hua Ru Yue or not?

I'll stop it immediately

if you say yes.

My name is

Li

Qing

Yue!

Get out of the way!

Ling Er?

Grandmistress, catch!
