(Episode 6)

Power of the Nine Heavens, gather in Yun'e!

All spirits, vanish!

Stop this!

Evil be dispelled! Strike!

Such audacity!

Check on her wounds.

All of her meridians have been severed. I'm afraid she won't last long.

Li Mo excels at medicine.

Send him a message to come back.

Yes, Grandmaster.

What could be so urgent that you'd use a blood curse to summon me?

Long Yuan almost left his position just to join me, you know?

I have no time to explain.

You'll know later. Hurry.

Remember, do not speak casually when you tend to her later.

- Who am I tending to? - Just hurry.

You'll know later. Let's hurry.

Isn't this Four...

Check on her wounds.

Is she a mortal?

Just shut up and treat her.

There's no saving her.

The celestial pills of the Nine Heavens overflow with spiritual power.

She's a mortal. Her body cannot withstand it.

Now, she's seriously wounded.

Her core is destroyed, and her vital energy is flowing in reverse.

Death is the only outcome.

Her core is destroyed?

Indeed.

I suppose she took a pill that enhanced her inner strength by force.

It backfired on her after sustaining serious injuries.

Can you help her regain consciousness?

I cannot treat her.

But I'm confident that I can help her regain consciousness for a moment.

Do it.

I have something to ask her.

The Sun Fruit is a sacred fruit that can reconstruct one's body

and revive the dead.

If the celestial sects get a hold of it,

it'll be beneficial to their cultivation.

However, if the demonic sects get a hold of it,

I fear another wave of bloodshed is inevitable in this world.

Disciples from down the mountain say

that the Yinlian Sect is already making preparations.

Zhang Suan, it'll determine whether or not your Qi reserve can be restored.

Therefore, you guys have to be extra cautious on this trip.

Yes, Sect Leader.

- Zhang Suan. - Yes, Master.

Keep this pill well.

This Hunyuan Pill is the sacred treasure of our sect.

Once you consume it, your power will increase tremendously

within the next four hours.

Our sect has three of them.

Qing Yue took two of them with her during her ascension.

This is the only one left.

Take it with you just in case anything happens.

Thank you, Master.

You're awake.

Grandmaster?

A toy pill from the Mortal Realm.

You wanted to use it to increase your inner strength by force.

But you ignored what it'd do to your core after its effect wore off.

You haven't even formed your Golden Core yet.

Are you trying to stop yourself from progressing any further than this?

Why did you slay the White Snake?

I hold a huge grudge against it.

What kind of grudge?

Grandmaster,

may I know whether or not the White Snake

has descended to the Mortal Realm 11 years ago?

It has.

If so, do you remember where it went?

It was Nanyu Village, right at the foot of Mount Yufan.

The White Snake appeared out of nowhere.

A flood ensued after that.

My mother died during the flood.

What should we do?

Big Brother!

Father!

That darned White Snake!

My house is gone!

Please save us!

My son!

Mother!

Mother, wake up!

Don't leave me behind!

Mother!

Mother, talk to me!

Mother, please wake up!

Mother!

Here.

A devastating flood coupled with the chaos brought by the White Snake

had caused the entire village to suffer tremendously.

I lost my home after that.

I followed my master, Reverend Qing Yang, back to Jingyun Sect after that.

Only then was I able to survive until now.

You've never mentioned your past to me before.

That's because you never asked me about it.

It felt as if you never wanted

to know about my past at all.

I told you before.

The White Snake will die after today.

Why bother going through the trouble...

It killed my mother.

Even if it were to die,

it has to die by my hands.

The flood is a natural disaster.

It has nothing to do with the White Snake.

You're just the gatekeeping disciple of a sect in the Mortal Realm.

However, your killing intent is strong.

Grandmaster, perhaps Jingyun Sect means nothing to you.

But in the Mortal Realm,

it's a highly revered cultivation sect.

All people seek immortality.

But most of them never gain access to it.

I am but a farmer's daughter.

Although I was lucky enough to be introduced to the sect,

I was able to pass the trials and selections along the way

and become one of their members.

I depended on more than just luck.

What else did you depend on, then?

Compassion to heal the world,

conviction to seek cultivation,

and the will to cut down all evil.

If so, what's your motive

for approaching me?

Grandmaster, I'm your wife.

Naturally,

I only have love for you.

Do you think

she resembles her?

She resembles her a lot.

But I trust my medical skills even more.

She's just a mortal.

She would never kill the White Snake if it was her.

- Is the White Snake dead? - Yes.

The celestial sword Jingyun Sect uses isn't as simple as it looks.

It pierces the Baihui point, strikes straight at the skull,

and severs all vitality.

If so,

is there truly no way to save her?

I was just about to discuss it with you.

I found out that a sacred fruit

known as the Sun Fruit has appeared in the Mortal Realm.

It can restore flesh to bones,

reconstruct one's meridians, and revive the dead.

Master, if you wish to save her, that's the only way.

Will she truly die?

She won't if she's Four Spirits Grandmistress.

But if she's a mortal,

she'll die for certain.

Most likely, it sensed your return.

That's why it's stirring up a ruckus.

All these years, you've kept making excuses to wander the world.

Are you sure you don't want to check it out?

Master, since you knew that I was avoiding it on purpose,

why are you still trying to persuade me?

Your cultivation has been stagnant for several centuries.

I suppose this is your trial.

Things must fall apart to make way for something greater.

Why don't you give it a try?

Master,

I know my condition the best.

Now that we're outside, we have to achieve something, right?

Master already gave us a mission.

I'll go and check it out.

Jiang Bian!

They're from Chunyang Sect.

A blade to the chest. Both the bone and flesh are rotting.

It should be the work of Yinlian Sect.

Seems like the Yinlian Sect has already arrived.

We were still one step too late.

Watch out. All of you, be careful.

I'm afraid the bats have absorbed the spiritual aura of the sacred fruit.

They've grown intelligent and turned into demons.

Su Guan, be careful.

Do not let the bats hurt you.

Thanks. You're quite concerned about me, huh?

Is the Jingyun Sect here to seek their demise?

Demoness!

I'm a demoness, huh? What are you, then?

You guys have preached the way of righteousness for so long.

In the end, you guys are fools who can't even defeat a demoness like me.

- Su Guan! - Hold this.

- Suan! - Don't fall behind!

- Hurry! - Where are you guys going?

Grandmaster, please save Lady Li.

She wanted to cook for you even when she hadn't recovered from her wounds.

I don't know who has done this to her.

She's so pitiful!

Do you think she'll die?

Please don't let her die!

Despicable.

You're insulting me already? That's rude.

I led you guys here. You insulted me instead of thanking me.

Are all disciples of Jingyun Sect ingrates like you?

You're being unreasonable here.

You lured us here so that you could steal the Sun Fruit

while we deal with the demonic beast.

I know your sect desires the Sun Fruit.

I'm stealing it to save Chu as well. Can't you just help me out?

Those who practice the dark arts are devious and cruel.

I'll never trust you.

Set the Yufan Sword Formation and assist Martial Senior Zhang!

This is bad! We were tricked!

Get out of the way!

Stop right there!

Martial Senior Zhang!

Martial Senior Zhang?

Martial Senior Zhang!

Grandmaster?

Did you save me again?

I acted on my own initiative and slew the White Snake.

Are you still angry at me?

It has to die anyway.

It doesn't matter even if you slew it.

I know that I've done wrong. I've let you down.

Thank you for not holding it against me.

Grandmaster.

From now on, my life is yours.

Grandmaster!

- Are you okay... - Don't touch me.

This is my room. You should return first.

- But I... - Go back!

Grandmaster, you must tell me if you feel unwell, okay?

Grandmaster, is it that time again?

Li Qing Yue received a blow from Grandmaster.

How's her condition?

I heard that she was seriously wounded. She was barely surviving.

What was Grandmaster's reaction?

He descended to the Mortal Realm last night

and retrieved the Sun Fruit for her.

Now, she's doing great.

She's quite lucky.

Ling Er.

You've heard about Master and Lady Li, right?

Now, you know how important Lady Li is to Master.

After this, you shouldn't...

You should stop your wishful thinking.

All right now. Let's forget about the vexing stuff.

We'll go out and have a nice break after my wedding is over.

You're holding another wedding again?

That's right.

Ling Er, you're the wine expert here.

Help me choose the wine I should use for my wedding.

Father, now that you're an immortal,

can't you change the old habits you had in the Mortal Realm?

Geez. Just look at this girl.

Su Guan, how long do we have to wait?

I'll be done soon.

Martial Senior, you haven't recovered from your wounds.

You should lie down.

How long have I been asleep?

It's been three days.

Martial Senior Zhang, you're amazing.

You only fell unconscious for three days after

receiving a blow from the Venerable Grandmaster.

Anyone else would've perished on the spot.

Martial Senior Zhang's Qi reserve was seriously damaged three years ago.

And, he took a blow from the Venerable Grandmaster.

His injuries are even worse now.

I just sealed your Qi reserve and Laogong acupoint with silver needles.

You need to rest and recuperate after this.

If you...

Martial Senior Zhang?

You haven't fully recovered yet. Where are you going?

What will happen to him?

You wouldn't understand even if I told you.

Martial Senior, look.

Sect Leader, I, Zhang Suan, seek an audience.

Come in.

Master.

Martial Uncle Dan Yang.

You're wounded.

Why are you here instead of resting and recuperating?

Master, I remember you once said

that the Sun Fruit can reconstruct one's body

and revive the dead, right?

Indeed. The Sun Fruit is a rare elixir.

It can indeed reconstruct one's body and restore flesh to bones.

What if an immortal consumes it?

An immortal has condensed their core and ascended,

shedding the mortal flesh and body.

The Sun Fruit won't work on an immortal.

Since it won't work on an immortal,

why did the Venerable Grandmaster descend from his realm just to obtain it?

About that...

In other words,

who in the entire Nine Heavens

would require the Sun Fruit to survive after sustaining serious injuries?

Lady, you're amazing.

Your spiritual power has grown immensely just after a few days.

It's all thanks to the Sun Fruit Grandmaster has given me.

I feel like my Qi reserve is brimming with spiritual power after having it.

Each time I channel energy and regulate my breathing,

I sense the meridians open and the energy circulating smoothly.

I can't believe such a fruit actually exists in the world.

I would've been able to skip decades of cultivation had I found it before.

Grandmaster allowed me to seek revenge and had saved me once again.

I have no idea how to repay him.

That's quite a difficult question.

It's been some time since I came here.

I've never heard of Grandmaster liking anything before.

Last time, I delivered the food I made to him. I think he liked them.

Why don't I cook for him again?

Sure. I feel like having your cooking too.

Me too.

Go and make preparations.

Yes, Grandmaster.

Lady.

Lady, do you need anything?

I saw that Grandmaster was feeling unwell yesterday.

Therefore, I plan to visit him with some food I made.

He's on a retreat. He won't be seeing any visitors for now.

If so, you must tell me when he's out of his retreat.

Yes, Lady.

Primordial Father God above,

I, Bai Jiu Si, was born as an immortal.

I was able to travel across the Three Realms,

enjoy immortality,

and receive the blessings of Heaven and Earth.

I was supposed to be content and not long for anything else.

But there's a person in my heart.

She clings and tugs at my heart every day.

And, it's impossible to cast her away.

Today, I'll swear a vow.

I'm willing to marry Hua Ru Yue.

Bound as one, husband and wife

bear honor and disgrace together.

Fate tied by the red cord,

our marriage is set.

Together in old age, steadfast through life and death.

Yue, I don't want to part with you again.

Why?

Why are you doing this to me?

Because you deserve to die.

Bai Jiu Si!

Yue, stop!

Say, do you think Grandmaster will be hungry during his retreat?

Will he miss my cooking?

Lady, did you forget?

Immortals don't get hungry.

Why are you eating every day, then?

I'm just a glutton.

Moreover, this isn't Grandmaster's first retreat.

Immortal Cang Tu will look after him.

Does Grandmaster go on retreats often?

I think he goes on a retreat once every decade.

- Why is that? - I don't know either.

Perhaps he's doing it to tend to his old wounds.

Lady Qing Yue.

Today's my father's wedding ceremony.

I heard that you didn't receive an invitation.

Therefore, I'm here to deliver it to you.

Lady, please join us.

Immortal Fan and I aren't that close.

His wedding is a huge event. I don't think I should be there.

Lady, you must be joking.

Father is Grandmaster's disciple.

You're his wife.

According to seniority, my father has to address you as Lady Li.

How could you say that you aren't close to him?

I think we should forget it.

After the misunderstanding last time,

I'm afraid my presence will make everyone uncomfortable.

Since that's the case, I won't force you to go.

Lady, I came here because of one more thing.

What is it?

I've always been the one safeguarding Grandmaster's possessions.

Now, you're the female head of Canglei Hall.

Naturally, I should hand them to you.

What are you handing to me?

Grandmaster's possessions.

All right, then. I'll go and take a look.

His private possessions are very valuable.

Lady, I think you should head there alone.

Wait here for me.

What sort of thing would be stored in such a secluded spot?

No one dares to be near Grandmaster's private possessions usually.

I was busy with sword training. I was too busy to clean the place up.

Hence, it looks somewhat deserted.

Why didn't I see anyone on our way here?

Today's my father's wedding ceremony.

Everyone in Canglei Hall is attending it.

Why didn't you attend it, then?

How many daughters in the world

would rejoice over their father's remarriages?

Grandmaster sees these items are his prized possessions.

I was the one safeguarding them usually.

Now that I'm handing them to you,

I suppose I'm returning them to their rightful owner.

Rightful owner?
