It was the love of the cold and ruthless Ice Prince

that saved the stand-in princess.

The Sasabara family is finished.

Come on, Father, pull yourself together.

Ever since that letter arrived,

Father has been drowning himself in alcohol and acting like that every day.

And now the letters have piled up this much.

One month later.

A ball hosted by the royal family.

I hear Katrina is attending the ball.

Mother, I have a favor to ask.

I want to go to the ball in a month.

I want a new dress.

A dress? Okay.

I suppose I have no choice. All right. Let’s go to the capital to buy one soon.

His Highness suggested that it might be time for me to start learning the manners

befitting a young lady of noble birth.

You'll become a proper young lady of noble birth

and show those people what they’re missing.

From then on, the people at the mansion began teaching me the manners,

appearance, and knowledge expected of a young lady of the manor.

I’m sorry, it’s still a bit difficult for me.

You’re beautiful. You should be more proud of yourself.

At some point, I started to feel comfortable being by His Highness’s side.

I wish this moment could last forever.

Oh, that’s amazing.

Today, we’ll look at Princess Katrina’s everyday clothes and winter wear.

And let’s go buy a dress.

That many?

Just the bare minimum for me is fine.

Katrina, this is also practice for the future.

Your Highness, you’re saying that again.

Why don’t you just admit that you want to give her a present?

Exactly, exactly.

You just want to do it for yourself.

You’re always making up excuses about practice and whatnot.

That’s right, that’s right.

So that’s how it was.

Let’s hurry up and go shopping.

Don’t run away, Your Highness.

That’s right, that’s right.

Shut up.

Here.

It’s escort practice.

Yes.

Welcome, Your Highness Clarence.

Um, I’m not really...

Lovely! Which one would you like, Lady Katrina?

This pink dress is cute.

That orange one over there would look good on you, too.

Please wrap up everything Nina has picked out.

Your Highness.

I’m glad you found something you like.

I suppose so.

Your Highness. I’d like to go shopping on my own from here on out.

On your own. Why?

Actually, I wanted to thank everyone who’s been so kind to me,

so I thought I’d buy them something.

Well then, we’ll wait in the carriage.

Let us know as soon as you’re done shopping.

Thank you.

I’m glad. I made it back safely.

It feels so good to go shopping again after so long.

Don’t you think so, Mother?

That’s true.

Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my.

I was wondering what kind of sewer rat had snuck in here—and it’s Katrina.

What a coincidence.

Thanks to you, I don’t have to wait until the day of the ball.

Katrina.
