Original subtitles

During a war, a handful of warriors nearly obliterated the Imperial Army.

They were called the Ninku Unit.

The empire was barely able to defeat them,

so they set out to subdue the unit in fear of their powers.

Few even know about the real Ninku anymore.

Colonel Basara's elite unit, the Ninku Wolves, have kidnapped Touji.

It's up to Aichou to rescue him.

But the Ninku Wolves' Captain Kirin is standing in his way.

He used to work under Aichou as the Ninku's Tenth Squad Lieutenant Hamaji.

Thanks to Colonel Basara's special training,

Hamaji has obtained Air Abilities that greatly surpass those of his former master, Aichou.

You've really grown strong, Hamaji.

I can't move anymore.

Now kill me.

Very well, Captain.

If I don't do it, another assassin will come after you soon enough.

If that's the case,

I'll finish you off myself!

Stay outta this!

Stay out of this, Rat Ninja!

Fuusuke!

Aichou-san!

Aichou-san!

Curse you, Rat Ninja!

How dare you get in my way?

I'll kill you first if that's what you want!

That's not cool.

I bet you're super strong to have beaten Aichou up like this.

But I can't turn tail and run.

You're a fool!

You could have saved yourself if you had abandoned him and fled.

Why did you come rescue him?

Isn't it obvious?

Because we're friends!

We've shared a lot of happy and fun times together.

But I wouldn't be a real friend if I only hung out when things were fun

and ran off whenever the going got tough.

I don't have to endure lectures from you!

It's the end of the line!

Fuusuke...

Even if the explosion sent him flying, there should still be some scraps of clothing or something.

I need proof he's dead.

Over here! I found him!

What?!

Damn him! He's been a pain in the butt.

Yeah, he probably tried to escape underground.

Still, I can't help but feel sorry for the brute.

He's still alive!

Find him! We've got to find him!

That won't be necessary.

What?!

Snake Ninja!

I knew you were jerks, but I didn't realize how horrible you truly are!

You set a bomb inside an innocent puppy!

Fool! I'm amazed you showed yourself just to say that.

Or are you plotting something?

You're like a rat in a trap.

Get down here!

Fine, I'll do just that.

What?!

Air Snake Palm!

Touji!

Onii-chan!

That punk... He escaped by himself.

Fuusuke!

Touji!

Onii-chan!

You caught everyone in a rock slide and rode it all the way out here.

How clever of you!

I see, so the three of you are back together.

Very well. I'll take you all on at once!

Bring it on!

We're not gonna attack you.

We're done fighting you.

What?!

Aichou and I were just here to look for Touji.

Since Touji's here, we don't have to fight with you anymore.

Later!

Aichou, are you okay?

Need a shoulder to lean on?

Fuusuke,

he's always been stubborn.

I don't think he's going to let us walk away.

Ya think? That stinks.

You may not have a reason to fight, but I certainly do!

Air Splitting Slice!

What?!

I can see our kindness is lost on you!

You'll be okay. I didn't hit your vital organs.

I won't think any less of you, so just go on back to Kisumi— I mean, Basara.

Tell him this: we'll never give in to you!

I have orders from Colonel Basara!

I must kill you if you refuse to accept his offer.

I can't go back until you're dead!

It would seem I can't handle two Zodiac Ninja at once,

but I WILL kill you!

Isn't that—?!

Ninja Shadow Stomach Technique!

What's Ninja Shadow Stomach Technique?

By whacking an urn in his lower abdomen, he was able to numb his nerves.

The technique increases his power threefold.

But that technique will...

...last until he dies.

Not only is he stuck with it, but he'll be a non-stop killing machine...

until his body falls apart.

Captain, as Ninku we should hurry and put an end to this war so we can return peace to the world.

Hamaji...

Hamaji!

Aichou!

It looks like we've taken really different paths.

Touji!

Yeah!

Air Desert!

Rihoko, Hiroyuki! Get Aichou outta here!

Okay!

Sorry.

Damn, you're a handful.

Now try to take it easy.

Fuusuke...

What is it?

Please kill him.

Please make him human again.

That's the last thing I can do for him...

as the one who...

taught him Ninku techniques.

Fine. Now you relax and rest up.

Damn it! Where'd he go?

Here he comes!

What are you doing, stupid?!

Are those roots?

He fell right for it!

Did you get him?

That's Air Pressure Soaring Fist!

Air Pressure Fist!

It won't work!

Your Air Pressure Fist uses air pressure to damage the enemy's internal organs when it hits.

If you use that against him, the pressure of his attack will make it backfire and cut you in half!

Here I go!

That bastard!

This is gonna hurt, but I've gotta do it!

You'll get your human heart back!

My heart's right here!

You'll have to get it in one hit or you'll never kill me!

I'm finished if he slows down! It's time to sink or swim!

Air Pressure Fist!

He pulled it off!

Air Pressure Fist hit his heart!

Shit!

Is it over?

No, not yet.

I just hit the Vital Mind and Body Spot with my Air Pressure Fist.

What?

According to the Ninku Medical Scroll, The Body Scroll,

applying strong pressure there can stop the heart's blood flow,

temporarily putting the person in a death-like state.

He may never move again, or he may pop right back up.

He's basically in a death-like state.

Why'd you do that? Why didn't you kill him?

I told you! I'm going to make him human again.

He won't be free from the Ninja Shadow Stomach Technique until he dies.

But if he's in a death-like state, it's like he's dead.

So just maybe...

I see. We'll have to keep our fingers crossed.

When his heart starts up again, will he be human again?

Or will he still be a killing machine?

Or will his heart never start up again and he'll die?

The outcome will be one of the three.

It looks like we're down to two.

We lost that bet.

The poor guy...

He can't even tell if his food's good when he eats.

He can't feel the warmth of his parents,

or care for the man he respected and learned Ninku techniques from.

Looks like we don't have time to reflect on all that!

What was that for?!

Fuusuke, you've got to kill him!

Is that the only way?!

What are you doing?!

Fuusuke, do it!

Let him go, Touji.

What?

I won't kill a man who can't defend himself.

This isn't the time for that!

Do it! Kill him!

Let him go. You're gonna die!

Shut up! I won't let go, even if it kills me!

Do it!

Fuusuke!

Aichou!

Sorry, Fuusuke. I hurt you by asking you to do this.

Victor's Smoke is coming from your body!

He's... Hamaji here should be killed by my own two hands.

Shit!

Aichou, don't just waltz up to him!

Why? Why isn't Kirin attacking him?

Captain, as Ninku we should hurry and put an end to this war so we can return peace to the world.

Captain! How many hundreds of miles more do I have to walk?

Will this really help improve my Ninku skills?

Captain, we're going to get married.

I'd like you to be there.

Hamaji, this is the last thing I can do for you as your master!

Thank you very much, Captain.

Hamaji...

He regained his human heart by letting himself get killed.

Aichou...

I see. So they killed all of the Ninku Wolves?

Yes, sir!

Wolf Captain Kirin tried fighting all three Zodiac Ninja,

but was killed by the Rooster Ninja in the end.

By the Rooster Ninja?

Yes, sir!

What a pity.

Perfect! She's ready for action!

We can fly out tomorrow morning if it stops raining by then.

The Ninku Wolves' Wolf Captain Kirin has died.

Aichou had to kill the one man to which he had taught everything he knew.

As if to match his feelings inside, the cold rain continued its downpour.

The wind blowing against my cheeks soothes my wounds.

hoho ni ataru kaze ga kizu wo keshiteyuku

I can hear your voice both near and far.

kimi no koe ga tooku chikaku kikoeteru

Our promised land isn't all that far away.

yakusoku no basho nara sonna tookunai

Let's use that as our starting point as we set forth once more.

mou ichido koko kara arukihajimeyou

The sky we look upon is endless as it spreads out for all eternity.

miageru sora hateshinaku towa ni hirogaru

Just as my dream is about to fade away,

shibomikaketa yume ga mata

someone makes a noise and wakes me up.

oto wo tatete me wo samasu yo

I cry in anger, laugh, and love someone.

naite okottari, soshite warattari,

dareka wo aishitari

Flowers always bloom before withering away.

itsumo hana wa saki soshite chitteku

But, even so, tomorrow will still come.

sore demo ashita wa yatte kuru

I want to believe in someone, after I free myself from love and everything.

ai wo toki hanachi subete wo toki hanachi

dareka wo shinjitai

There will always be a tomorrow

itsumo kaze wo kanjiteru kokoro ni

as long as my heart can feel the wind.

itsudemo ashita wa yattekuru

Well? Not half bad, huh?

That was in Dolphin.

Huh? You didn't understand a word I said?

I said we'd be holding a dolphin show at Marine Park, so everyone should come watch!

But I'd rather you didn't come if you're with the Imperial Army.

Next episode: The Dolphin and a Boy!
