As Your Highness expected,

Tang Zhiluo indeed didn't take the antidote on time.

She also forced her inner energy

to expel the Gu worm for Yuwen Jingxuan.

I'm afraid she won't live much longer.

But with her death,

Your Highness will have to search for him privately again.

I don't know when we will find him.

There is no need to search.

Without the Soul Jade, Yuwen Jingxuan

won't last until Tang Zhiluo returns.

Yes.

The highest good is like water.

Water benefits all things and does not compete.

I was negligent in this matter.

Jingxuan.

Yuwen Jia and the Shang family are sinister.

It has nothing to do with you.

I will go to the Shang family now to demand the antidote.

The doctor said

it's already too late.

You're awake.

Drink the medicine first.

How much time

do I have left?

Don't talk nonsense.

You don't have to hide it from me.

The Shang family has always used poison to control

those adopted daughters.

They must take the antidote every ten days.

I haven't taken the antidote for over ten days.

So how long do you think I can live?

Three days.

It seems I can't keep my promise.

Don't worry.

I won't let you die like this.

Why is Your Highness staring at me?

Xiyao.

Don't we look like an ordinary couple like this?

Does Your Highness no longer want the empire?

I was confused for a moment.

Did Your Highness invite me to this banquet

just to embarrass me?

Am I not the one who is more embarrassed?

I won't argue with you.

Have a seat.

I invited you here today, Mr. Su,

to discuss an important matter.

Since I have chosen Prince Shuo,

I will never stand on your side.

What if Prince Shuo can't even protect himself?

What?

Are you going to drag the entire Su family

down with you, Mr. Su?

If that day really comes,

I hope Your Highness

won't implicate Xiyao because of me.

As for my woman,

it's not your place to speak.

Your Highness is absolutely right.

Didn't Your Highness have matters to discuss?

Why are you back so early?

I finished my business,

so I came back early.

I see you took it off. Do you not like it?

I accidentally tore it, so...

It's fine. I'll just mend it.

I had the kitchen make some pastries.

Eat them first. Tomorrow we'll go to the Shang family.

What happened to your hand?

Ah, it's nothing.

This poison will penetrate the bone marrow

and seep out from the skin.

But don't worry.

It will only burn the skin and won't...

Do you think I'm worried about that?

I've never been afraid of death.

I'm even less afraid of dying with you.

But you said that

as long as there is a glimmer of hope,

we should fight for it.

I don't remember saying that.

But I remember.

Stop worrying, okay?

We'll go to the Shang family tonight,

okay?

Your Highness, Your Highness, don't be anxious.

How about this? Tomorrow,

we'll go to the Shang family together.

Why don't you want to die anymore?

Someone told me

that as long as there is a glimmer of hope,

one should strive to live.

Then I will give you another ten days.

Within ten days,

between you and Yuwen Jingxuan,

only one can survive.

I didn't agree.

I know.

Let's go back first.

I didn't agree to the Shang family's terms.

I just trusted my own judgment.

I don't think Your Highness is a wicked person,

and I don't want to help the Shang family do evil anymore.

So Your Highness really doesn't have to do this.

Do you really think

I'm doing this because you showed me mercy?

Then Your Highness has even less reason to do so,

just because I look like an old friend of yours.

You really don't have to.
