[song concludes]

-[birds chirping] -[waves crashing]

[groans]

Oh, my head.

Huh? [groans]

Wait, where is it?

[gasps]

No! My phone! [groans]

Come on! Come on!

Come on! Come on!

[grunts] No! It's dead!

The proof is in there! I am not losing it! Not now!

[tense music playing]

[pants]

[Aqua Physicist] There isn't much time left.

[groans]

[crowd groans]

Sire, this message just came in from Nerissa and Sasha.

The Sea Witch has Merlinda.

Go. Now!

Help them save my daughter. Bring her back with the cure.

I can almost feel all that dark magic coursing through my veins again.

Fitting, isn't it?

That you are the one who will unlock the Vault of the Deep for me,

seeing how it was your ancestors that betrayed me.

Your people chased me out of Mertropia centuries ago

and ripped me from the magic they were so afraid of.

They stole my powers and they stole my throne.

But all that is about to change.

The tales of a Princess drawn to dark magic. That was you!

[laughs] And my exile will soon be over.

-Thanks to you. -[tracker pings]

[music fades]

[dramatic music playing]

[all pant]

[watch pings]

[sighs]

[gasps]

[grunts]

Right on time.

[grunts]

[Sea Witch] It'll all be over soon. Once I have my dark power back,

I'll take my rightful place as ruler of Mertropia.

And the descendants of those who turned against me will pay.

[grunts]

[tracker pings]

I know how hard it is sometimes to be the princess.

The pressure to do what's right, the responsibility to your people,

but to turn to dark magic.

That was a mistake.

The legends say the magic lock behind this door was so powerful,

-it would drive the user mad. -[grunts] Do I look mad to you?

You seriously want me to answer that?

[grunts] Enough chit-chat. Now open it.

-[growls] -[groans]

[music builds]

[laughs]

Melinda's trident ring. She'll need this.

I'll take my submersible, too. I've never swum this deep as a mermaid.

Ill be back, Beau Jr.

[kisses] I promise.

Good luck, guys.

-[groans] -[growls]

[laughs]

[music concludes]

[sinister music playing]

Finally! [gasps]

[grunts]

-Let no one pass! -[Monster Nixie growls]

What took you so long?

[growls]

Pearl power!

-["Shine & Glow" playing] -? Pearl power ?

? You got the power to love You got the strength to be tough ?

? You got the magic When the pearl's by your side ?

? Under the moon down below Mermaids will shine and glow ?

? You got the magic when the pearl's by your side ?

? Strong as the ocean's spirit, we unite ?

-[mermaids grunt] -[growls]

-[song concludes] -[tense music playing]

[grunts]

[groans]

-[Alex] Echo Strike! -Huh?

[Sasha] Bubble Burst!

-[Merlinda] Hydroblast! -[growls]

[groans]

[laughs]

[grunts]

[laughs]

-[growls] -Sonar Shield! [groans]

-Alex! -[groans]

-[growls] -[Tyler] Nerissa, youre up!

-Thunderbolt! -[groans]

[both groan]

[gasps]

Are you okay?

-Look out! -[gasps, groans]

[grunts]

[groans]

Weve lost.

Maybe not.

Pearl power.

-["Shine & Glow" playing] -? I am strong, I feel the pearl ?

? I have the power to break through ?

? You got the power to love You got the strength to be tough ?

? You got the magic When the pearl's by your side ?

? Strong as the ocean's spirit, we unite ?

[song concludes]

Huh?

[grunts] Sand Blast!

[heroic music playing]

[groans]

-Ah! Perfect timing, Celia! -Merlinda! Celia! Catch!

-[grunts] -[growls]

-[dramatic music playing] -[growls]

[both grunt]

[grunts]

Huh? No!

-[gasps] -[grunts]

-Sand Shield! -[Monster Nixie growls]

Merlinda! The Essence, its gone! What do we do?

Uh, I

I don't

-[Corelia] Merlinda. -Mom?

Merlinda, I am with you.

I have always been with you.

You must use it. Use the Aqualume.

[heroic music playing]

Yes! I am here to help you.

-[music concludes] -[gasps]

-Jelly! -[coos]

[laughs]

Huh?

[gasps]

[groans]

[coos]

[groans]

[groans]

[groans]

Oh!

Lets go!

[both grunt]

[tense music playing]

-[all groan] -[laughs]

It's too late!

[gasps]

This vault was created to keep the dark magic locked inside.

Maybe we can't stop the Sea Witch from getting the power.

But we can make sure she never gets the chance to use it.

[Sea Witch] No!

[grunts]

[all grunt]

[groans] Jelly, hurry!

[grunts]

[screams]

[both groan]

[screams]

Come on! There's no time to lose!

[soft music playing]

[coos]

[both laugh]

-Beau Jr.! You're all better. -[barks]

-Thank you for your magic sparkles, Jelly. -[coos, squeals]

You transformed. It was incredible.

I know. I can't believe it.

Now you're a Mer-Warrior, like us.

-[sighs, chuckles] -We're all warriors.

We're almost over the portal.

I wish you could come with us.

Fred said the submersible took too much damage.

He needs to make repairs before I can dive again.

I'll stay here with Tyler.

The thought of returning to Mertropia as a mermaid

feels like a lot right now. Plus, we have class tomorrow.

-[laughs] -[coos]

[barks]

We're here!

I, uh

I'll call you.

Just as soon as you know?

I'll miss you.

[gasps]

-[Merlinda clears throat] -[both gasp]

[all gasp]

-Uh -[clears throat] All of you.

-I mean, Celia will too. -Bye, Tyler.

Good luck.

[uplifting song playing]

? When the sea feels way too wide So much bigger than me ?

? And I don't know where to turn Or what to believe ?

? I often think what she would do ?

? I know she'd tell me stay true Be yourself, remember that ?

? So I try to ?

? So I try to ?

? I'm learning to breathe ?

? Like a wave I rise and fall ?

? But I am stronger through it all ?

? With the ocean on my side ?

? I will always come back Brave like the tide ?

? Where my fears start to rise ?

? Taking over my head (Over my head) ?

? I see the world with open eyes And I don't get scared ?

? 'Cause I'll never have to be alone Together into the unknown ?

? I'll take the cards that I'm dealt ?

? Heart in the water (Heart in the water) ?

? I'll make you proud ?

? Whatever's coming ?

? It won't bring me down ?

? Like a wave I'll rise and fall ?

? But I am stronger through it all ?

? Every crash, it makes me see ?

? There's a brighter part of me ?

? Now I know just who I am ?

? I can hold me back again ?

? With the ocean on my side ?

? I will always come back Brave like the tide ?

[song concludes]

[indistinct chatter]

You three girls are turning into quite the team of heroes.

-[laughs] -[exhales]

Mom was there.

-[gasps] -[Merlinda] I heard her.

She told me to use my Aqualume. Do you know what that means?

-[soft music playing] -Perhaps.

But your Nixie's the one you should be asking.

Your bonding ceremony was disrupted.

Maybe she has more to show you.

Ha! Mm.

[gasps]

[tense music playing]

[laughs]

[grunts]

[groans]

[yells]

Mom!

Merlinda, this is the true shape of the power you use today.

The Aqualume.

[grunts]

Merlinda, a battle is coming.

You must find the source of the Aqualume.

You must unlock your full power.

But how?

[gasps]

[Corelia] Before there were ever merfolk,

there were others living beneath the seas.

[Merlinda] It looks like a map. Or a puzzle.

[Corelia] Follow the path of the one who last found this map,

the human adventurer and friend to mermaids

John Silver.

[gasps]

-[music concludes] -Merlinda, what is it? What did you see?

I have to go back to Morton Bay.

I have to find the source of the Aqualume.

[soft music playing]

I'm learning not to question some things.

I trust and support you.

-[coos] -[laughs]

And in the end, Jelly saved everyone from the poison.

Sounds like it was a close one.

Hmm. Yeah.

Things are finally getting back to normal around here.

[laughs]

But Jelly also showed me the future. I've got to find the Aqualume.

It's the only way to stop what's coming.

Unfortunately, besides seeing Morton Bay, I don't know where to start.

-So, you're, uh, coming back? -All of you?

[Merlinda] Yeah, my dad kind of freaked out about that.

Living with the Princess in Morton Bay? Nonsense!

-Uh -[grunts]

Now that this ordeal with the Sea Witch is over,

I expect you to settle back into your training with the Elite Guard.

[sighs] Dad, I don't know

if being in the Royal Guard is what I want anymore.

I've been learning so many new things and seeing so many more opportunities.

I want to go with Merlinda.

I am sending the King your regrets tonight.

You will go to the academy and you will graduate

at the top of your class like I did.

Enough.

Cyril, we both know that Nerissa is more like you than you care to admit.

Or do I have to remind you that you took time off

from the academy before you committed to that life too?

She gets to find her own path.

[sighs]

Your mother is right.

If you need to explore to see what else life has to offer you,

I just want you to be happy.

Oh, Dad, thank you!

[chuckles]

[Sasha] While Nerissa was doing her best with her parents,

I was laser-focused on getting permission from my mom.

Clown dives! [laughing]

So lame! [laughing]

Fish face! [scoffing] Loser! Ew!

[sighs]

[Katrina] Don't let that girl get to you.

Mom!

I know plenty of merfolk like that in the Royal Court,

always looking to tear someone down.

The best way to deal with them is to smile and be nice.

Advice I myself have a hard time remembering,

but your kindness is your superpower, my dear.

-[laughs] -Uh

Would now be a good time to ask if I can move to Morton Bay?

Yeah, I'm pretty smooth.

[laughing] But Merlinda, if you come back to Morton Bay,

Tracy won't leave you alone for a minute.

I know, but we have no choice.

It's only a matter of time

before Mertropia will be under attack again.

I'm afraid the Sea Witch won't stay locked up for long.

Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is

I hope our room is still available?

Well, I was going to use it to store my pirate collectibles, but

[chuckles]

We'll always have room for you. All of you.

-Mermaids swim together! -Forever.

-[coos] -[barks]

[music concludes]

["Embrace our Power" playing]

? Time to come alive Embrace your power ?

? Yeah, you know that deep inside that it's your calling ?

? Calling us into the magic hour ?

? Yeah, we're swimming up Yeah, we're going up, up ?

? Embrace your power ?

? Yeah, you know that deep inside that it's your calling ?

? Calling us into the magic hour ?

? Yeah, we're swimming up Yeah, we're going up, up ?

? La la la la la la la la la ?
