Original subtitles

Alexander the Great Volkanovski.

A nickname inspired by one of history's most famous conquerors.

Through a legendary UFC career, the Australian has lived up to the name.

He is the greatest featherweight fighter that this sport has ever seen. This man

is a shoo-in for the Hall of Fame. Ruling over the featherweight division

and establishing himself among the sports elite.

He is a breaker of men.

But his conquest is not complete.

He plans to not only build his resume, but even make it better. I'm still that

fighter that can take out these guys, and this could be one of my best

performances ever.

We about to kick it up a notch like... Come on, Lieutenant!

A new challenger has emerged in the form of an undefeated Russian wrestler.

We ain't stopping now, we going all night.

Determined to end Volkanovsky's reign and claim the 145-pound throne.

We're gonna, we're gonna turn it up. The belt was my goal all my career, and it's

time now. We're gonna, we're gonna, we're gonna turn it up.

I'm gonna dominate and do my thing, and there's nothing he can do to stop that.

In the co-main event, a storied rivalry continues when two-time bantamweight

champion Piotr Jan looks to defend his title against former divisional king

Marat Dvalishvili.

With one win apiece. Marat smothers you with the pace that he sets.

Kyoryan has put a lot of pressure on himself to right this wrong.

A decisive third encounter awaits as the two bantamweights battle once again for

the 135-pound title.

This third time is the most important.

I want to avenge my loss, and I'll do everything for that.

We did it, and we will do it again.

Off the back of two featherweight title reigns and six successful defenses,

Australian Alexander Volkanovski has become one of the most highly respected

fighters in UFC history.

His success has brought with it fame and popularity the world over and opened the

door to new opportunities outside the octagon.

Recently, the Australian made the change from performing under the bright lights

of an arena to the Hollywood stage.

I'm fortunate enough to be good at what I do in the octagon and be able to be

blessed with a lot of opportunities outside of fighting.

Playing a part in Street Fighter, I played Joe.

Joe! Yeah!

How about you, bloody clowns? You haven't seen too much of me yet, but

hopefully that part packed a punch. There we go!

I think he's going to be a fun character. I enjoy it. It's good fun.

The man is super famous. He's done it all. But that has to wait.

Because I'm still the fighter. The iconic, undisputed UFC featherweight

champion, Alexander Volkanovski, still in his prime.

One of the greatest featherweight runs of all time.

This is the career path I chose.

He's such an animal.

I do what I love.

Oh, he got rocked. And still do it at a high level. One of the greatest

champions we have ever seen.

I want to keep building that empire.

and keep defending my title.

Volkanovski's desire to extend his featherweight legacy has seen him answer

the call from a highly touted first-time title challenger.

Over the years, South Florida has become a top destination for many UFC fighters,

due in part to its favorable living conditions.

Of those who have made their way to the sunny destination,

is featherweight title challenger, Mozart Ivloy.

He began making the journey from the Russian Republic of Ingushetia years

ago.

This place is special for me.

First day I came here, we go to the beach and I can't believe my

eyes, so it's so beautiful.

I enjoy every day being here.

You feel like you're in the movie.

I got the best life you can dream about.

The lifestyle that Ivloev has come to enjoy isn't the only thing that brought

him to the Sunshine State, but also the desire to further his combat skills with

the help of a powerhouse MMA team.

So many fighters from Russia used to train here before I even started MMA.

So many good coaches here.

You're competing in the best gym in the world.

Improving never stops.

Upon joining American Top Team early in his UFC career, Yves Loyave was riding

an undefeated streak to aim to keep that record intact while chasing his title

aspirations. Time is running!

From the first fight in the UFC, the goal is...

The belt. When you talk about guys who have the potential skill set to take out

someone like Alexander Volkanovsky, a lot of people leave that conversation

with Ibrahimovic. Oh, big right hand by Ibrahimovic.

I'm the only UFC fighter from the Republic of Ingushetia. It's in

Ibrahimovic's blood to fight.

He's become a big star in Ingushetia.

So for me, to win is important.

Ingushetia, I'm next champion.

The Republic of Ingushetia, Russia.

Oh, right hand by Evloyev. May very well have a UFC champion when all is said and

done. My Republic waiting for my title.

Oh, and that's a nice left. He's coming, searching now.

UFC, there is no excuses, so don't let me fight for the title.

Let's fight.

And 20-0 now for that man, Movsa Evloyev, who wants

his title shot.

When it comes to athletes in any sport, it's easy for the general fan base to

build up their heroes as elusive and untouchable.

They may believe that their achievements are so great that the common person

couldn't relate.

For current featherweight king Alexander Volkanovski, nothing could be further

from the truth.

How we doing?

This is going to be a great day. We've obviously got a lot happening.

We're going to be watching the game. We're going to have a lot of fun. It's

going to be pretty awesome.

As the champion serves as an example for all in finding success.

What's happening?

He's good.

I'm good. One thing that everyone's always going to take from whenever they

get to meet me and share enough time with me is who I am as a person.

Cheers, man. Thank you.

Thanks for coming.

They see me in the octagon, world champion, pound for pound number one.

Defending, you know, for how long?

And then they see me and it's like, mate, this bloke is just a normal bloke

that was in their position and just worked hard and got there. So I feel

like that's what they take out of us. Oh, here we go. We've got some

reactions. Yes.

Glory at the other side of this. We ready?

Let's go.

Anything's achievable. This guy is us 10 years ago. All right, let's go.

And they just know that it's...

Just having the right tools up here is what's going to get them there. That's

quite motivating.

No worries at all. Thank you.

I think people think they need to be this perfect somebody.

There we go.

They think it's something that only a few people can do. I was like, no.

There you go.

That's not the case. Cheers, cheers. Well done.

I was able to do what I've done through the right work ethic, right mindset,

mentality, and anyone can do it.

Florida Super Gym American Top Team offers on-site accommodations for its

vast roster of international fighters.

Typically, this would be the option for Russian title challenger Movsar Ivloyev.

But in preparation for the biggest fight of his career,

Ivloyev has opted for the isolation of a private residence.

Sometimes it's better when you stay outside of the gym.

Sometimes you just over-train. Help yourself.

This is for me.

Now, because bigger camp, more important fight, I moved to the house, so nobody

bother me.

Today, we have no diet.

We still have dessert.

It's good to just relax because you need to recover to be able to compete

for the title.

Recharged and ready, Yves Loyave returns to his team at ATT with the sole focus

of preparations for the challenge that lies ahead against an all-time

featherweight great.

Volkanovski is one of the greatest pound-for-pound best fighters to ever

fight in UFC.

Volkanovski is somebody that you have to prepare for everything because he can do

it all.

He can strike, he can wrestle, he can grapple.

So we got to make sure that we're ready for everything, but we are going to pose

our will.

Most of all, he's going to show the new breed of MMA, the change of the guard.

It's his time, and I think his being too physical, too young, too strong, and too

skilled as well.

We're going to go right up to him, and we're going to take the belt from him.

My prediction is us winning by domination.

UFC 333, we're going to have a new featherweight king.

Alex said, the only way I can win is knock him out.

But we're going to prove that he's wrong.

We do homework.

And we're ready for anything.

Nearly 10,000 miles away, the featherweight king is covering all bases

in training and pays extra attention to the threat his opponent will bring to

the octagon.

Anytime you're facing somebody like Mozar, who comes from a part of the

world that has the best wrestling, it's always important to have a bit more of

the focus on that.

Valk's fought some high-level grapplers, but anytime you're undefeated and you

make it to the title fight of the UFC, you are a very dangerous opponent.

Okay, we're ready. Let's put the time on.

Volk, you're up.

Okay, let's go, time.

His pace stands out more than anything.

Prize wrestle.

So you definitely have to be ready for that.

You want to make sure you're really dialed in to the scrambles, to the

positioning, and you have to make sure you crush your teeth and you dot your

I's. What's up, Spar?

Love that.

These challenges that he's going to throw at me, challenges that don't phase

me one bit.

There will be a path for me to go every single time because I put myself in a

much worse position than one man can ever put me.

And I will always find a way to the next position where I'm going to dominate and

do my thing.

That's pretty obvious.

He's going to want to shoot.

And I'm going to force it to be on the feet. Look at Volk. That is in itself so

impressive. You're going to be forced to be put on the feet because I'm not going

to let you get the takedown. I'm not going to let you hold me down.

We are going to stand up and fight because I'm going to make that happen.

And there's nothing he can do to stop that. This is a man who a lot of people

believe is best equipped to beat Alexander Volkanovsky.

The best thing about him is his experience.

But we're going to make our plan work.

To remind everyone why he is the number one ranked contender.

And he will have deal with us, not with him.

It's going to be great to finish the guy who have the belt.

Let's go, Spro!

I've shined before.

I've shined plenty of times.

But this might be where I shine brightest.

He is ferocious, fearless, driven.

He is a champion.

Ten seconds!

Volkanovski, one of the all-time greats. Most of all, he looks sensational.

Man, what a card this is.

UFC 323 would mark the end of 2025 with a highly anticipated bantamweight title

fight between the former champion Piotr Jan and the then-champion Marab

Dwalishwili.

In addition to UFC gold on the line, the two combatants entered the bout fueled

by extra motivation.

For former champion Piotr Jan, redemption remained top of mind for a

crushing loss years prior to a young contender that would go on to sit on the

bantamweight throne.

Your new record for takedown attempts is Marab Dwalish-Williams. He's been coming

at him like the tide. This is beyond frustrating if you're Piotr Jan. Marab

just dragged you to that dark place.

Trying to drown you, man. It's so crazy to watch.

Nice uppercut. Another one.

Three impressive wins placed Jan back in title contention.

Bjorian is looking fantastic.

lining up the rematch with now-champion Merab Dwalishwili, who entered UFC 323

with a record within reach.

Merab Dwalishwili becoming the first champion of UFC history to put a belt on

the line four times in a calendar year.

And he's gotten better since he's champion. He is just a dominant force in

this Phantom League division.

And you've seen him become more confident, more skillful. The fact that

he finished Sean O'Malley on the ground in their second fight. The fact that he

almost took out Corey Sanhagen with strikes.

Sanhagen getting his head snapped back here.

In 2025, I try to defend my title four times because I

want to challenge myself.

I take risks.

This is who I am.

And Piotr Jan has been waiting since March of 2023 to get this one back.

And if there is a guy that can defend takedowns, that can actually beat him in

the stand-up, it is Piotr Jan. Good defense by Jan.

He's slick.

Our last fight, me and Piotr Jan, he was feeling very strong and very calm and

patient. He was waiting for me.

Look at that, Marab, that speed is going right back to the legs.

Another shot by Marab. But look at Piotr, nice left hand.

Not only is Piotr Jan defending takedowns, he's actually getting back to

the center and making him strike with it. Nice jab by Jan.

He's the first guy that hasn't wielded to the pressure of Marab so far.

And when Piotr has time to work... Oh, big right hand.

And he can get offensive.

He's too dangerous.

Oh, nasty jab by Piotr. The fight was back and forth.

This is our pace. This is machine pace. Let's work that body when we get the

chance. Oh, good shot to the body by the champ.

But he has big moments.

He studied me.

Oh, he hurt him to the body. He hurt him bad.

And he was well prepared.

Marab is being forced to stand in front of Piotr Jan here.

Because his takedowns haven't been as effective as they have been

in previous fights.

Man, he left hook to the body.

Piotr Jan has solved the puzzle. Oh, another kick to the body. He said he

would be better tonight. He has been better. Oh!

And what a capstone for Piotr Jan!

What a fight!

What a fight!

He's a great fighter.

He came back.

He make a lot of changes.

We didn't see any path to victory against Marab. But Piotr Jan had a

fantastic game plan. He beat me really, really good.

Now it's one and one.

You know what's the best part about it is we'll get to watch him fight again.

Because if anybody gets a rematch, it's Marab Dwalish. Oh, yeah. That is going

to be a huge rematch.

Following the disappointing title loss at UFC 323.

Dvala Shvili would return to Georgia and receive a reminder of the unwavering

support from his homeland.

I'm celebrating my birthday with my family.

And, of course, we have some singers, some dancers, Georgian food.

My home country, Georgia, gave me everything. That's why I started

fighting, because I wanted to represent my country.

I'm always positive.

Yes, I don't have a belt at this moment, but my Georgian people still love me.

And my real friends still love me around the world, and they still appreciate it.

They still support me, you know?

I don't have a belt, but I have motivation to

get this belt back.

And the energy I get here in Georgia drives me all year.

Jan's victory in the classic rematch with Dwalishwili leveled the series

between the bantamweight rivals and lined up an inevitable trilogy.

And anticipation was eventually met with confirmation.

UFC 333 just got announced for Abu Dhabi. Go to Jan versus Marab 3.

This is the UFC 333 press conference.

First to the stage, Marab Dwalishwili.

Am I wrong that this is one of the most difficult trilogies to predict in UFC

history? The trilogy I'm most excited about ever, I think. I've never been

more excited about a trilogy than this one. Here is the bantamweight king,

Piotr Jan.

Me and Piotr, we fought each other two times.

This third time is the most important.

The winner of this trilogy between Piotr Jan and Mirov Dovalishvili is the best

bantamweight of this decade.

And I believe myself I can beat Piotr Jan.

Ok, my friend, October 24, I will try to break your face.

I will fix your mask.

For his upcoming title defense, Pyotr Ion has chosen to train in the Russian

city of Kislovodsk, a location known for its elite facilities that evaded many

past champions.

My preparation takes place at the Olympic base of the South Sport, which

is located in Kislovodsk.

This is a sports base where there is all the infrastructure to achieve results.

That's why the strongest athletes come here.

Good.

In order to train, abstract from distracting factors and be in this

system.

You accumulate this energy, discipline, stability, which leads to success.

It was the training that was invented.

In our next fight, Mirab will basically do the same thing that he always

does. That is, to fight, to impose pressure, to move forward somewhere

unthoughtfully.

You need to sleep. You get up, one dry, two dry. Then close like this, put it in

here.

Like this, great.

It was perfect.

He has such chaos.

At the same time, he is a strong opponent, a strong fighter who beat

almost everyone in his division.

Excellent, sunny.

Stop.

Let's go.

Time. Second shift. Time.

Get up, Pyotr.

According to our two passing fights, we have enough information about how we

did, what we did, and what we need to do to improve,

to preserve.

Good, you see everything clearly.

Good.

And on October 24, again, do your job.

Add the knee, add the knee. Yes, stop.

Great work.

As Murab Dwalishwili pursues a return to the bantamweight throne, he's called

upon the experience of two veteran training partners to ensure he's fully

prepared for the trilogy fight with Piotr Jan.

I love watching film. I love trying to game plan against people, trying to use

our strengths and their weaknesses.

It's the perfect way to go and approach a fight. But see, this time he was the

one pressuring, but even there you should shoot.

Then it will open up the striking just a little. See, he wants to react to that

so bad.

The good thing for me this time, he's already fought the same guys for 10 full

rounds. So the amount of footage we've got, the amount of holes we can see, the

amount of possibilities we can see and breakdown is huge.

Today's training session, we had me and Aljo to go and do his five rounds,

making sure that the intensity's there. The pace he can put on both the guys is

absolutely unreal.

I think he's got three lungs.

We're both trying to give him good looks, the type of things that Lian's

going to do.

Okay, now we're feinting. You can come up with the strikes if you want, or just

move. Just keep him guessing, keep him guessing.

Pierre Lian, he's one of the best in the world.

Don't go too crazy. Keep the pressure. Make him feel the pressure.

He's got great hands.

He's very, very patient.

And his wrestling defense was fantastic in the last fight, so there's a lot of

things what he's really, really good at.

We just need to make sure that we counteract all the things that we feel

we could have done better or we feel that he didn't do perfect last fight and

we're going to try to capitalize on.

Hell.

There's nothing fun about this.

Last two rounds. Most important.

Most important. Championship rounds.

Now's your time to play.

He's got a very, very unique style, Murat. It's not hard to game plan for

him because he is so good at what he does. That's what you find with the best

guys in the world.

Everybody knows what they're going to do, but it's just trying to stop that.

And all I'm trying to do is refine a few things that help his style and work on

his different attributes that he's already got.

My arm's going to come home with a belt, guaranteed. I know this.

Now he's got the chip back on his shoulder.

When he lost the title, it just made him more determined to go and get it back.

We need these little bumps. They make you better.

Ten seconds.

I think he's used it as just something to bounce back from. Five seconds. In

order to solidify his credibility as the greatest bantamweight of all time.

What a

bantamweight championship fight.

We got to see Murat show his heart, spirit, determination.

And we saw Pjotr Jan level up.

He was a driven man that wanted that title back.

A beast has been unleashed.

The adjustments Pyotr Ion made between fight one and fight two is crazy.

The best fight we've ever seen in life. Pyotr Ion has solved the puzzle.

The greatest 135-pound fighter of all time. He went on an absolute tear.

At UFC 333, I'm planning to beat Peter Jan.

Marab is just a phenom. Avenge my loss.

This man has discipline and determination that cannot be measured.

I beat Peter Jan once, and I will do it again.

The trilogy bout for UFC gold paves the way for the main event.

A reigning featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovsky. One of the

greatest champions we have ever seen. Knocking back number ones time after

time. We'll look to continue his domination over the division when he

faces undefeated Mozart Ivlayev.

The potential skill set to take out Alexander Volkanovsky. 20-0. He's ready

to become a champion.

Legacies will be written when the octagon returns to Abu Dhabi for UFC

333.
