[insects and birds chirping]

[drone buzzing overhead]

[horses neighing]

* tense, suspenseful music *

[Calvin sighs]

Damn, Coyo.

A few more doses of this, and

maybe I wouldn't have to spend tomorrow night

getting pumped full of poison.

Yeah, first chemo blast is a bitch.

Let me wingman you.

I survived hell week. Come on,

I can handle sitting in a chair solo.

Spent enough time in those places with Monica

to know how soul-crushing they can be.

Hey, man, look, I appreciate that offer, okay?

But your-your priority's got to be on the home front.

How's it been going?

Couple more holes to patch,

a shot-up water heater. [chuckles]

Yeah, I meant Tate.

Yeah, I know.

The, uh, cabin's damage is easier to assess.

Well, like any problem, plan the dive, dive the plan.

[gunshots in distance]

[clicking tongue]

* tense, dramatic music *

[gunshots continue]

I didn't know he was into shooting.

He's not.

[Calvin] Tell that to the target he's peppering, man.

Look at him.

He's got some of your moves, man.

That's what I'm afraid of.

[gunshots continue]

Hey, I'm-a do another lap, okay?

You know, healing power of nature and all.

[gunshot]

Hey. What are you doing?

Keeping front-sight focused.

You got to stop listening to Navy SEAL podcasts.

You once told me I'm the only one who can keep me safe. So...

[Kayce] So you're pumping rounds into Weaver's foreman?

Is that why you're out here?

Hey, buddy.

Look, everything you-you've been through,

if you're feeling scared or angry...

What happened stays where it is.

* somber, dramatic music *

Come on.

***

[Belle] Best interrogator I know

couldn't pry a discount out of her landlord?

[laughs] Well, the place I've been in is temporary.

Now that I'm here long-term...

Living at the office won't do.

-What does that mean? -First one in,

last one out.

When you'd rather be at work than go home...

Something's got to change.

Speaking of,

one of the computers was left logged into an NYPD database.

Some old case files.

Yeah. I've been looking into my dad's murder.

Cops being killed last week I'm sure stirred things up,

but using marshals' resources for something personal,

-that can get you in trouble. -Yeah,

-I'm just passing my downtime. -Well, hell,

why not use all that energy for something else, you know?

Cal needs us right now.

Man does have a lot on his plate.

On another note, "opulent basement storage."

-Let's check it out. -[chuckles]

[door creaking]

[Belle] Huh.

* tense music *

What's wrong?

I'm just not feeling this place. We can go.

Broken Rock is under military invasion,

and you're letting it happen, Chairman.

Mm-hmm.

Military invasion? The Air Force drone testing

is over land that hasn't been recognized as ours

for 200 years, Mr. Whitebear.

Those tools of war screaming across our sky

have spooked livestock into getting hurt, even killed.

The tech they're deploying has caused blackouts.

[tribal council member] Government has long used

military testing as a means to drive our people from our lands.

[Thomas] My hands are tied.

This testing is outside our border.

[Shane] Same as the rare earth mine,

but your hands became weapons when it came

to fighting off potential jobs, revenue for our people.

And now the Feds are punishing us for it.

We knew protecting our water would come with a cost.

[Shane] Housing crisis, poverty, unemployment.

Same old story under your leadership, Chairman.

Broken Rock needs a viable economic driver

to resuscitate us.

[others murmur in agreement]

Ah, I see.

This is all a windup to your absurd pitch

that this council has already rejected five times.

Cannabis farm co-op would create jobs,

teach agriculture, give us a revenue stream

not bound to a government currently bombarding our home.

Recreational cannabis is legal.

We should claim a piece of the market.

Vice, legal or not, breeds problems we don't need.

Let's adjourn.

People out there have lost faith in you, Chairman.

I can bring them back into the fold.

Thank you for your time.

Everyone has the right answer

when they don't have to own the decision.

Right answers are hard to come by on the rez.

[drone buzzing outside]

Look at that.

[explosion]

* tense, dramatic music *

[Belle] Hey.

Sorry I didn't make it to the Bullet last night, again.

-Hey. Braxton doing better? -Uh, a little, yeah.

That's good, right?

Look, as much as I want to be done

with Jared right now, my boy needs both of us.

Hey, Lord knows Maddie could've used

that kind of stability at home. I get it.

Matcha... has high levels of EGCG.

It's supposed to help slow tumor growth.

Thank you.

-Hey, morning, y'all. -[Andrea] Hey, did you hear

about this drone crash on Broken Rock?

[Miles] This video's been going around.

A man woke up in that house every day for 70 years.

-He didn't stand a chance. -[Belle] A drone

caused this kind of destruction?

Military-grade, crashed into a propane tank.

Did you know him?

He was Uncle Charlie to half the rez.

Loudest voice cheering

at all my high school football games.

But why would the military

be flying one of those over Broken Rock?

Nuclear testing, uranium mining, biological weapons.

U.S. military has long used tribal lands

as its testing sites.

Drone warfare's the next evolution of battle,

so testing is gonna be a necessary evil.

-[phone chimes] -Necessary to terrorize

an entire community?

[Miles] Please tell me that's a fugitive to hunt.

I could use a distraction from all this.

[Calvin] Well, this is Gifford, and

it would seem that drone crash is now a marshals problem.

Sorry, Miles. Hey, can you get Kayce on the phone, please?

Can you explain to me again

why Gifford wants me to be a part of this?

He thinks your ties to Broken Rock and the military

makes you a liaison.

There's a title I haven't been saddled with before.

I tried to tell him that

SEALs and cake eaters don't mix, so...

Think they're here.

Hey. Colonel Brooks.

Deputy Marshal Calvin. This is Deputy Marshal Dutton.

Thank you for seeing us on short notice.

This is Gavin Escher, CEO of Horus Avionics.

Horus has been developing the next gen of defense

surveillance drones for us up here.

You guys are really on the cutting edge here, huh?

If I ever lose a cow, I know where to come. [chuckles]

U.S. Marshal Gifford assured me this is an elite team,

led by two former Navy SEALs.

Whoo-wee. Okay.

Well, I guess maybe we are on the same team.

[Kayce] Being a warfighter's a little different

than being part of the war machine.

[Calvin] And, uh, we're marshals now.

Makes it a little unclear

how we can help you with your drone problem.

Oh, it's fine. Just millions in R&D gone in a flash, right?

I'm sure the grandfather that it killed is sorry for your loss.

Well, that man's dead because a cell of domestic terrorists

from his reservation shot it down.

Oh, yeah? You got evidence?

Yeah.

Loaded with all the proof you need.

[Gavin] These same three tribe members

shot at a drone of ours a week ago.

That footage is on there, along with evidence of them

harassing my employees

and attempting to breach our testing facility.

Video was sufficient for a judge to issue warrants,

but the military can't arrest our own citizens.

[Calvin] U.S. Marshals operating on Broken Rock

is a delicate situation.

[Brooks] We were told your unit has

a special relationship with the reservation.

It's not built on doing the military's dirty work.

There's billions on the line here,

not to mention the national security implications.

I think maybe these guys are out of their depth.

Deputy Calvin, can you handle this?

Oh, we understand our orders, and we'll find a way to execute

without causing any more destruction.

[Calvin] Hey, y'all. What you got?

[Miles] Marshals collaring on a reservation?

History repeating itself. Bad history.

Yeah, well, we're trying to avoid that.

That's why I got Kayce out there

on the phone with Rainwater, right now.

All right, well, profiles on the suspects.

We got brothers Matthew and Koda Nash

and their roommate, Jacob Green.

All in their 20s,

all very active for Native rights causes

and very vocal about their opposition

to the military testing.

Nashes and Greens both come from big family trees on Broken Rock.

We move on them, we're gonna have a lot of branches

swinging in our direction.

Yeah, but they all have priors. I mean,

unlawful assembly,

trespassing on federal property, disorderly conduct...

All trumped-up charges used to silence protestors.

We really okay being the military's henchmen?

[Calvin] Y'all, I agree, but

this Escher guy, he's got a direct line to the White House,

so we drop the ball, there's gonna be hell to pay.

Besides, these Broken Rock guys,

they're not exactly clean, Miles.

Doesn't take five marshals

to bring in three nonviolent activists.

I'm reinstating my desk duty.

Yeah. So, we're gonna go no hard armor,

no long guns, right?

Just like we're serving process, okay?

Hey, I know that you're juggling a lot.

I was wondering if there was anything I could do to help.

Oh, please, not you, too. Between Kayce and Belle,

I'm covered on the totally unnecessary coddling front.

You want to help me?

Get Deputy Marshal Kittle on board. That's what you can do.

* slow, dramatic music *

You do know that part of the job is showing up,

even when you don't feel like it.

Finally feel like I'm fitting in on Broken Rock.

All that gets undone if I roll on this.

When I was a kid, a couple guys in my building

got wrongfully pinched by some dirty beat cops.

Whole neighborhood showed up, almost started a riot.

How'd it cool off?

My dad.

He was the bridge between the neighbors and the cops,

and he kept a bad thing from turning tragic.

[Miles] Trailer where the guys live is right up here,

not far from where the drone killed Uncle Charlie.

Monica had cousins out here in the Lowlands.

Good people, hard luck.

Well, they're not violent offenders, so

we're just gonna do this quick and gentle,

avoid kicking the hornet's nest.

* tense music *

[sighs] That ship may have sailed.

Did you tip 'em off?

You think I want people knowing I'm here?

We're here to serve a warrant. That's what we're gonna do.

Dust Cloud, figured your mouth worked so well for Congress,

you'd be able to talk some sense into your colleagues.

Nobody's happy about this, Shane.

We're gonna serve a warrant on that address right there.

We're gonna get it done,

and then we'll be out of y'all's hair.

You take any Broken Rock residents into custody,

I'll detain you.

[Calvin] We're federal officers.

We're here with the chairman's blessing.

Well, Chairman don't speak for all of us.

[Miles] I know you're doing what you think is right, Joe,

but you intervene, the Feds are gonna double down,

bring even more heat to the rez.

Excuse me.

Kayce, Miles, why don't y'all just

stay here, watch our six, okay?

-[knocking on door] -U.S. Marshals.

We've got a warrant. Coming in.

Right on brand for the chairman.

A day late, a dollar short.

You here for a campaign photo op with the Broken Rock Three?

Already exploiting them with a folk hero name?

I suspected this gathering

was more for my benefit than the marshals.

Thank you for confirming that.

[crowd member 1] Here to welcome the Feds, Chairman?

-Time to retire, Rainwater. -Whose side are you on?

[Calvin] Yo, Coyo.

Nobody's in there.

Whole community could be helping them hide.

Yeah, I know you think these guys are innocent, Miles,

-but why would they run? -Maybe the centuries

of wrongful persecution nipping at their heels.

Come on. You had that chambered.

We really gonna tear the rez apart

looking for these guys?

No, we're gonna RTB.

Gonna let the tech dig into this broken laptop.

Chairman would like a word.

I keep seeing a buffalo.

Wrong time of the season for them to be in the valley.

I know. And there's only one.

It's stalking you?

* dramatic music *

I'm not sure if it's even real.

The buffalo symbolizes self-sacrifice,

but you've already lost everything, except for Tate.

The buffalo could be here to make you confront your shame.

Spur you to take action.

This is Lawrence Green.

His son Jacob is one of the young men you've been seeking.

[Lawrence] My son, he's a good kid.

Protecting our land is-is one of the few opportunities he had

to feel like he was making an impact.

What can we do for you?

[Thomas] It's what Lawrence can do for you.

There's something you need to hear.

[Lawrence] Haven't heard from Jacob in a few days.

I didn't know the number calling me a couple hours ago.

He left this.

[Jacob over recording] Dad, I need help. I don't want to run.

-I don't know what to do. -[man] Hey, what are you doing?

[man 2] Who are you talking to? Are you crazy?

Those the Nash brothers?

[Lawrence] Sound angry with Jacob.

Don't like the thought of my boy being ganged up on.

[Kayce] Well, why come to us?

The drone's only raised the temperature around here.

[Thomas] Which is why some of my tribal officers

would rather hinder than help your investigation.

My fear is, if they do so,

this headwind will turn into a tornado.

[Lawrence] I'm not one for politics.

I just want my son back safe.

Yeah.

Child cries out in need,

decent father finds a way to rescue him.

* tense, dramatic music *

I trust you two to do what's right.

[Miles] Andrea says Jacob made that call to his dad

from a landline at this house.

[Kayce] South edge of the rez.

Trying to stay off the grid out here.

Homeowner's a family friend of the Nashes.

She's out of town right now.

Swore she didn't know they were here.

-[TV playing faintly] -[knocking]

Guys, Miles Kittle, U.S. Marshals.

-Need to talk to you. -[knocking]

On you.

[man speaking indistinctly over TV]

...and three-sixteenths this way. You see that?

[Miles] U.S. Marshals.

-Come on out! -Move.

* suspenseful, dramatic music *

It's Jacob Green.

There's no way the Nashes killed Jacob.

Their fingerprints were all over the house

where he was found, and Kayce said that

they sounded pissed on that phone call,

that Jacob had reached out for help.

Yeah, means, motive, opportunity.

It's harder to refute the Air Force's allegations after this.

Doesn't make any sense.

[Calvin] They chose to cut and run, okay?

We can't let 'em get any further.

This is now a murder investigation,

-so can we punt it? -[Calvin] Nice try.

DoD priority is answers on the drone.

[Andrea] Techs are working through the computer we found

at the brothers' place. Might shed some light on all this.

Well, we'll keep our feelers out.

And attack this again in the morning.

Get sleep, y'all.

[Andrea] Night night.

* dramatic music *

[sighs]

Hey.

This came in the mail.

Crestwood University, over by Missoula.

Thought we don't talk business at the dinner table.

Well, it's not business.

It's your future.

Gonna be 18 soon. You give it any thought?

Uh...

I'm mostly focused on if I should take Sydney to the prom.

[scoffs]

Well...

...your mother wanted college for you.

Dreamed you'd have a life beyond this ranch.

You're really gonna guilt me with that?

If we're talking about what Mom wanted,

you really think she'd want you hunting people from her tribe?

* somber music *

I think there's a lot

she wouldn't have been proud of recently,

which is why I'm trying to square you away.

I keep telling you I'm solid.

Hey, you know...

...all we've been through,

I think maybe we could use a break.

What do you say we go fishing on the Gallatin this weekend,

like old times?

You really think I want to be anywhere near a river?

[insects and birds chirping]

-How you feeling? Big day. -Well...

not if we can't locate the Nashes.

I loaded my tablet with TV shows,

got a deck of cards. You know, I wasn't sure

if travel Scrabble was, like, too much.

-What the hell are you on about? -Activities

for us to do during your chemo tonight.

Us?

-Yeah. -Look, I'm not your son,

and I don't need any helicopter friending, okay?

* somber, dramatic music *

What about "one is none"?

You got bigger issues, and I don't need hand-holding.

Anything new on the Nash brothers?

Oh. No activity on cell phones or credit cards.

No sightings or tips, but our digital evidence techs

finally cracked into that laptop,

turned out to be Koda Nash's. Check this out.

[drone buzzing over video]

The Nashes shot all this video of the drones? For what?

Seems they had an audience. Footage was uploaded to

a file-sharing site, to one anonymous user.

[Belle] These drones are top secret technology--

one that a whole host of people from foreign militaries

to rival corporations,

they would love to get their eyes on this.

And pay a fortune for.

Whoever was on the other side of this file-share

got a damn good look at some forbidden hardware.

Well, maybe the Nashes

wanted to cut Jacob out of the windfall.

Espionage?

Domestic terrorism and murder aren't enough

-to hang on these guys? -Well,

I was just following the evidence.

Nothing you're accusing them of rings true.

So why was their friend left dead on a kitchen floor?

I don't know. Everybody's hiding something.

[Thomas] I'm asking for patience.

We are all heartbroken, and we're seeking answers.

[person speaking indistinctly over phone]

That's not even the worst evisceration

I've suffered this morning.

Young man getting killed like that's

got to spark a lot of anger.

Shouldn't be aimed at you.

Jacob was wearing a thunderbird.

Thought maybe you'd want to give it to his father.

[Thomas] The idea that Jacob was killed by his friends,

that one of our own families did this to another...

[Lawrence] Is he in there?!

[woman] Hey, you can't go in there! Security!

You said you would protect him.

And he said, if we went to you, you'd know how to help him.

Looked me in the eye. You're liars.

You've said your piece, Lawrence.

You let the Nashes take my boy away,

and you're still sitting here?

Well, someone's got to take action!

[Mo] Broken Rock knows hunger.

We know heartache.

* tense, dramatic music *

But we don't know division.

Factions, unrest, violence,

and now a multigenerational family feud.

We stay on this path,

and we'll begin to fracture like the Navajo

and Pine Ridge before us.

[Kayce] You've always held this community together,

even in the face of tragedy.

[Thomas] I'm trying to hold on,

but it's all slipping away.

Their faith in me,

my certainty that I know what's best for them.

If there's further bloodshed,

this military testing may have stoked a fire on the reservation

that cannot be extinguished.

[door opens, closes]

Hey. How'd it go with Rainwater?

Well, it seems like Jacob Green's family

is looking for some revenge against the Nashes.

-Well, hopefully it's just talk. -Yeah. Blood feud,

something I know about.

Well, wanting vengeance doesn't mean

they're gonna be capable of getting it.

Yeah. Green did some tours in Iraq,

and his other son was a vet, too.

And the reward for their service

is having the military terrorize their damn home.

Yeah. DoD has a talent for creating collateral damage.

Yeah. As I am reminded with every doctor's appointment.

Your cancer's related to your time in the Navy?

Doc thinks burn pits.

There's a spike in lung cancer rates that tracks

with my Afghanistan service record.

And we thought the demons in our heads

was our only party favor, right?

Hmm.

Least this damage, you know,

can be pinpointed and eliminated.

It's a hell of a lot easier than...

battling the invisible wounds.

Those invisible wounds...

sure make it hard to ask for help.

That's why you can't blame Tate, man,

for not being able to tell you what he needs. Hmm.

Yeah. It's a good thing we're all so great at accepting help,

given everything else that ails us.

[chuckles] Yeah, you said it.

[Andrea] Hey. Just got an anonymous tip.

Someone spotted the Nashes at an old

Broken Rock community center.

If word gets out,

could tee up some range justice, start a civil war.

Let's stop it before it starts.

[Miles] Attended drum practice here as a kid.

Now, I'm about to assault the place.

In the name of keeping this community intact.

[Belle] What's on the other side of that door

-we're going through? -Series of rooms,

all vacant now. Points of entry on north,

south, and east side of building.

Ideal spot for the Nash brothers to lay low.

[Kayce] Broken Rock can't stand any more bloodshed.

We need to take the brothers alive.

Weapons tight, suspects alive, y'all. Come on.

* tense, suspenseful music *

-[gunshots] -[Kayce] Take cover!

What do you see?

[Kayce] At least two shooters.

* intense, dramatic music *

Take cover!

[explosions]

-Hey, everybody good? -Who the hell were those guys?

No way the Nash brothers just handed us our ass like ninjas.

It's unlikely Jacob Green's family has

that kind of tactical gear.

One way to find out who we're up against.

[stammers]

* tense, suspenseful music *

Whoever the shooters are, how are they a step ahead of us?

[Andrea] Feds show up, whole rez knows about it.

Look, Nashes might still be here,

so you two on me. Here we go.

If I was running for my life,

I'd seek cover in those woods.

On you.

U.S. Marshals. Don't move!

[Matthew] Help. Please.

[labored breathing, straining]

[Andrea] It's Matthew Nash.

-He's been shot. -[groans]

Gunshot wound to the right shoulder.

I'm gonna need medical.

Yeah, it looks like Koda must've bailed once trouble came.

[Calvin over comms] Hey, Kayce, Miles,

we got a suspect down inside.

We got no eyes on Koda.

[Kayce] Copy.

Oh, this kid's bleeding out. Need a bus.

We're on the outskirts of the rez. Help is far away.

[Matthew groaning]

[Calvin] I'm gonna plus up Miles and Kayce.

Y'all roll medic and render aid to Matthew here, okay?

[Andrea] No, no, no. Take one of us with you.

This ain't the time to be fussing over me

-right now, y'all. -[Belle] We have two unknown

shooters out there, and Koda Nash is likely armed, too.

You need every gun in the fight we can offer.

Hey, Dre, make sure he pulls through.

No, no, no, come on, Matthew, stick with me.

Will-will my brother be okay?

Doing our best.

Could've done a lot more to protect you

if you hadn't been on the run.

We didn't, we didn't do anything wrong.

[groans]

The drone that killed Uncle Charlie, it fell out of the sky.

You're saying his death was just an accident?

No way.

Government claimed to be testing surveillance drones,

but that one was armed.

[groans] Exploded right before impact.

They killed Uncle Charlie.

[Andrea over comms] Matthew's claiming the drone that crashed

was armed, and this is all a cover-up.

True or not, Koda's still in danger.

Hey. Blood.

This way.

[drone buzzing overhead]

Part of the cover-up. War machine's hunting Koda.

That's why we got to get to him first.

Two shooters with an eye in the sky

is gonna be hard to overcome.

Cal,

drone's stalking Koda.

Gonna lead the shooters to him or us.

Yeah, copy.

If this op is off the books,

they could have someone piloting it on the ground here

rather than remotely.

We'll keep looking.

Trail's running cold. No blood.

It's this way. You know this terrain.

If you were gonna hide, where?

There's a deadfall shelter up ahead.

Used to play there as kids. Koda would know it.

It's right here.

[Koda panting]

-U.S. Marshals. -Koda.

We have your brother. We're here to help you.

If this is all a cover-up, why not tell anyone?

Your own military's hunting you. Who can you trust?

[panting] We were documenting everything,

saving it to turn over to...

[sighs] We weren't really sure who,

but some of the Air Force and Horus men in black,

they saw us at the crash site, filming.

[Miles] Crash site video, did you upload it?

Nah, never had enough time.

Still on my phone.

[drone buzzing overhead]

[Miles] It's unarmed.

Yeah, but it circled back. It spotted us.

[Koda] I never meant for any of this to happen.

I just wanted to protect the rez.

[Miles] It's not going to take the shooters long

to spot down on us.

Give me your jacket and your hat.

[straining]

Are you sure?

Only since you're covering down on me.

-What're you doing? -He's buying us time,

drawing the shooter off of us.

* suspenseful, dramatic music *

-Stay right here. -Yeah, okay.

[gunshots]

[gunshots]

* tense, dramatic music *

We need this bird off us.

It's unarmed, but it's allowing them to track us.

We're still searching.

[Calvin] Yeah, that's him, remote setup.

[Belle] I'll draw them out.

You got a boy to go home to.

Don't need hand-holding.

* tense, suspenseful music *

U.S. Marshals!

Drone operator down.

Shooters are now blind.

[Kayce over comms] Miles, I got a run of dead space here.

Can you give me some cover fire?

Copy.

Two shooters down hard.

All clear.

Like to believe we weren't just at war with our own military.

Horus Avionics. Escher's body man.

All this to keep the dark money flowing.

[Kayce] Military-industrial complex

doesn't have a lot of honor.

There was a lot in that decoy run you just made.

I did it for my brothers.

All of 'em.

[Calvin] This day, y'all,

saved two lives, exonerated three young men,

and we just prevented an insurrection at Broken Rock.

Anyone else wondering why Escher came to us

if he already had his own hired guns?

It's 'cause the Air Force really believed

that the drone was shot down.

So, I mean, Escher, he had to play along.

[Belle] So, that investor call was him

trying to keep the Broken Rock Three out of our grasp.

He knew they had video

proving they were illegally testing armed drones.

Yeah, well, now, Koda sent the video to Air Force OSI,

so it's in their hands.

Hopefully, justice is served.

Good work, y'all. I'm-a get to my thing.

Hey.

You sure there's nothing

-we can do? -[Calvin] Look,

I ain't taking another lap on that, okay?

Hey, this is my battle.

Well, hell of a thing,

saving Matthew's life like you did.

You sound surprised.

Dark room, unknown threats.

I was worried you might spook like you did in that basement.

Belle, I'm solid.

Yeah.

[newswoman over TV] Horus Avionics CEO

Gavin Escher was arrested today...

Huh. Looks like Escher's going down.

Would've sworn the DoD would sweep this under the rug.

[Thomas] You two kept a tragedy from becoming Broken Rock's

doomsday.

And there's a moratorium on testing near our land.

Awful big of the government.

Well, thanks to you,

the men who stood up for our people

will rightfully be seen as heroes.

If Broken Rock keeps needing heroes and martyrs,

it means something's deeply wrong, and it needs to change.

[Lawrence] Chairman Rainwater.

Thank you for getting justice for my son.

Just sorry we couldn't get to him sooner.

Thanks to you, I know who took his life,

and I know he's a good boy.

[Thomas] I'm so sorry for your loss.

Thank you, Chairman.

Tribe seems to remember how you fight for 'em.

Well, Lawrence does.

The Nash family still blames me for what happened.

Miles is right about change.

I need to consider other paths.

Open my eyes to other visions for Broken Rock's future.

Other visions?

I gave my blessing to a tribal member who wants to start

a cannabis-growing co-op on our land.

-Pot farm? -Yeah, he argues

it'll bring new life to the community.

Jobs. Hope.

-You believe him? -Well, what I believe

is that, if I don't try something new,

drastic,

the people I care so much about may slip away from me forever.

* quiet, tense music *

[muffled straining, grunting]

[muffled grunting continues]

-[panting] -[Randall] Come here.

[grunting]

[gasping, panting]

* somber music *

[sighs]

[sighs, sniffles]

[sniffling]

[exhales deeply]

You can fight me all you want.

You are not facing this alone, Peter Calvin.

* optimistic music *

[door opens, closes]

Hey.

Why don't you get on up to bed. We got to be up at 7:00.

I told you. I don't want to go fishing.

Not fishing.

-Taking you to see a therapist. -What?

Are you serious?

It's the last place my father would've taken me,

the last place I would've gone myself, so I'm...

hoping that makes it the right place for you.

-I don't need a shrink. -I know it seems drastic,

son, but outside help is the best thing for you.

-I'm not going. -Damn it, Tate.

There ain't no disobeying me on this. Go to bed.
