Damn, Kyle.

A few more doses of this and maybe I wouldn't have to spend more than that

getting pumped full of poison.

That first chemo blast is a bitch.

Let me wingman you.

I survived a hell of a week. I can handle sitting in a chair solo.

Spend enough time in those places with Monica to know how soul-crushing they

can be.

Hey, man, look, I appreciate that offer.

But your priorities got to be on the home front.

How's it been going?

Couple more holes to patch.

Shot up water here.

Yeah, I'm in tight.

Yeah, I know.

The cabin's damage is easier to assess.

Well, I got any problem, land the dive, dot the plane.

I didn't know he was in the chute.

He's not.

I saw that to the target. He's peppering there. Look at him.

He's got some of your moves, huh?

That's what I'm afraid of.

Hey, I'm gonna do another lap, okay?

You know, healing power in nature, huh?

Hey.

What are you doing?

Keeping my front side focused.

You gotta stop listening to Navy SEAL podcasts.

No one's told me I'm the only one who can be safe.

So? And so you're pumping rounds in a Weaver's Foreman? Is that why you're out

here? Hey, wait.

Look, everything you've been through, you're feeling scared or angry?

What happens stays where it is.

The best interrogator I know couldn't pry a discount out of her landlord.

Well, the place I've been in is temporary.

Now that I'm here long term, living at the office won't do.

What does that mean? First one in, last one out.

Wouldn't you rather be at work than go home?

Something's got to change.

Speaking of, one of the computers was left logged into an NYPD database.

Small case files.

Yeah.

I've been looking into my dad's murder.

Cops being killed last week, I'm sure, stirred things up.

But using Marshall's resources for something personal, they can get you in

trouble. Yeah, I'm just passing my downtime.

Well, hell, why not use all that energy for something else, you know?

Cal needs us right now. Man does have a lot on his plate.

On another note, opulent basement storage.

Let's check it out.

Huh.

What's wrong?

I'm just not feeling this place.

We can go.

Broken Rock is under military invasion, and you're letting it happen, Chairman.

Military invasion? The Air Force drone testing is over land that has been

recognized as ours for 200 years, Mr. White Bear. Those tools of war screaming

across our sky have spooked livestock into getting hurt.

even kill the tech they're deploying has caused blackouts government has long

used military testing as a means to drive our people from our lands my hands

are tied this testing is outside our border same as a rare earth mine but

your hands became weapons when it came to fighting off potential jobs revenue

for our people and now the feds are punishing us for it we knew protecting

our water would come with a cost housing crisis poverty unemployment same old

story under your leadership chairman broken rock needs a viable economic

driver to resuscitate us

Ah, I see.

This is all a wind-up to your absurd pitch that this council has already

rejected five times.

Cannabis farm co-op would create jobs, teach agriculture, give us a revenue

stream not bound to a government currently bombarding our home.

Recreational cannabis is legal.

We should claim a piece of the market.

Vice, legal or not, creates problems we don't need.

Let's adjourn.

People out there have lost faith in you, Chairman.

I can bring them back into the fold.

Thank you for your time.

Everyone has the right answer, but they don't have to own the decision.

Right answers are hard to come by on arrest.

Look at that.

Hey, sorry I didn't make it to the bullet last night.

Again. Hey, Brock's been doing better? Oh, a little, yeah.

That's good, Brock.

Look, as much as I want to be done with Jared right now, my boy needs both of

us. Hey, Lord knows Maddie could have used that kind of stability at all. I

get it.

Matcha has high levels of EGCG. It's supposed to help slow tumor growth.

Good morning, y'all. Hey, did you hear about this drone crash on Broken Rock?

This video's been going around.

Man woke up in that house every day for 70 years.

He didn't stand a chance. A drone caused this kind of destruction?

Military grade. Crashed into a propane tank.

Did you know? It was Uncle Charlie to have the rest.

Loudest voice cheering at all my high school football games. Well, why would

the military be flying one of those over Broken Rock? Nuclear testing, uranium

mining, biological weapons.

U.S. military's long-used tribal lands as its testing sites. Drone warfare is

the next evolution of battle, so testing is going to be a necessary one.

Necessary to terrorize an entire community?

Please tell me that's a fugitive to hunt. Use extraction from all this.

Well, this is Gifford, and it would seem that drone crash is now a marshal's

problem. Sorry, Miles.

Hey, can you get Casey on the phone, please?

Can you explain to me again why Gifford wants me to be a part of this? Me?

He thinks your ties to Broken Rock and the military makes you a liaison.

There's a title I haven't been saddled with before.

I tried to tell him, man. Seals and gatekeepers don't mix, so I think

they're here.

Hey, Colonel Brooks. Deputy Marshal Calvin. This is Deputy Marshal Duck.

Thank you for seeing us on short notice.

This is Gavin Escher, CEO of Horse Avionics. Horse has been developing the

next gen of defense surveillance drones for us up here.

You guys are really on the cutting edge here, huh?

If I ever lose a cow, I know where to come.

U.S. Marshal Gifford assured me this is an elite team.

led by two former Navy SEALs. Well, we, okay.

Well, I guess maybe we are on the same team. Being a warfighter is a little

different than being part of the war machine.

And, uh, we're marshals now. Makes it a little unclear how we can help you with

the drone problem.

Oh. So, just millions in R&D gone in a flash, right? I'm sure the grandfather

that it killed is sorry for your loss.

Well, that man's dead because a cell of domestic terrorists from his reservation

shot it down.

Oh, yeah? You got evidence?

Yep.

Loaded with all the proof you need.

These same three tribe members shot at a drone of ours a week ago. That footage

is on there, along with evidence of them harassing my employees and attempting to

breach our testing facility.

Video is sufficient for a judge to issue warrants, but the military can't arrest

our own citizens.

U.S. Marshals operating on Broken Rock is a delicate situation.

We were told your unit has a special relationship with the reservation.

It's not built on doing the military's dirty work.

There's billions on the line here, not to mention the national security

implications. I think maybe these guys are out of their depths.

Deputy Calvin, can you handle this?

Oh, we understand our orders. We'll find a way to execute without causing any

more destruction.

Hey, y'all. What you got?

Marshal's calling on a reservation.

History repeating itself.

Bad history.

Yeah, well, we're trying to avoid that.

That's why I got Casey out there on the phone ring water right now. All right,

well, profiles on the suspects.

We've got brothers Matthew and Coda Nash and their roommate Jacob Green, all in

their 20s, all very active for Native rights causes and very vocal about their

opposition to the military testing.

Nash's and Green's both come from big family trees on Broken Rock. We move on

them, we're going to have a lot of branches swinging in our direction.

Yeah, but they all have priors. I mean, unlawful assembly, trespassing on

federal property, disorderly conduct.

trumped up charges used to silence protesters.

We really okay being the military's henchmen? Y'all, I agree, but this

Escher guy, he's got a direct line to the White House, so we drop the ball,

he's gonna be held up.

Besides, these Brooklyn Rock guys, they're not exactly clean moms. Doesn't

take five marshals to bring in three non-violent activists.

I'm reinstating my desk duty.

Yeah, so we're gonna go no hard armor, no long guns, right? Just like we're

serving process, okay?

Hey, I know that you're juggling a lot. I was wondering if there's anything I

could do to help. No, please, not you two. Between Casey and Belle, I'm

covered on the totally unnecessary coddling front.

You want to help me?

Get that being Marshall Kendall on board.

That's what you can do.

You do know that part of the job is showing up even when you don't feel like

it?

I finally feel like I'm fitting in on Broken Rock.

All that gets undone if I roll on this.

When I was a kid, a couple guys in my building got wrongfully pinched by some

dirty B cops.

Whole neighborhood showed up, almost started a riot.

How'd it cool off?

My dad.

He was the bridge between the neighbors and the cops, and he kept the bad thing

from turning tragic.

Trailer where the guys live is right up here. Not far from where the drone

killed Uncle Charlie.

I've had cousins out here in the lowlands.

Good people.

Hard luck.

Well, they're not violent offenders, so I'm just going to do this quick and

gentle.

Boy kicking the horn is nice.

Oh, that ship may have sailed.

Did you tip them off?

You think I want people knowing I'm here?

Well, we're here to serve a warrant. That's what we're going to do.

Russ Cloud.

Figured your mouth worked so well for Congress, you'd be able to talk some

sense into your colleagues.

Nobody's happy about this, Jane.

I'll serve a warrant on that address right there. We're going to get it done,

and then we'll be out of y'all's hair. You take any Broken Rock residents into

custody, I'll detain you. We're federal officers.

We're here with the chairman's blessing. Well, the chairman don't speak for all

of us.

I know you're doing what you think is right, Joe. If you intervene, the feds

are going to double down and bring even more heat to the res.

excuse me okay signal as much as stay

here watch our six okay

u

.s marshals got a warrant coming in

Right on brand for the chairman.

Day late, dollar short.

You here for a campaign photo op with the Broken Rock Three?

Already exploiting them with a folk hero name. I suspected this gathering was

more for my benefit than the marshals.

Thank you for confirming that.

Here to welcome the feds, chairman. Time to retire, rainwater.

Whose side are you on?

Yo, coyote.

Nobody's in there. Whole community could be helping him hide.

I know you think these guys are innocent, Miles, but they were. Maybe

the sentries of wrongful persecution have been at their heels? Come on. They

had that chamber.

Are we really going to tear the roads apart looking for these guys?

No, we're going to RTB. We're going to let the tech dig into this broken

laptop.

I keep

seeing a buffalo.

Long time this season for them to be in the valley. I know.

There's only one.

Stalking you?

I'm not sure it's even real.

Buffalo symbolizes self-sacrifice.

But you already lost everything.

Except for T.

The Buffalo could be here to make you confront your shame.

Spree to take action.

This is Lawrence Green.

His son, Jacob, is one of the young men you've been seeking.

Our son.

He's a good kid.

Protecting our land is one of the few opportunities he had to feel like he was

making an impact.

What can we do for you? That's what Lawrence can do for you. There's

something you need to hear. I haven't heard from Jacob in a few days.

I didn't know the number calling me a couple hours ago. He left this.

Was the Nash brothers? I sound angry with Jacob. I like the thought of my boy

being ganged up on. Why come to us? The drones only raise the temperature around

here. Which is wise, but my tribal officers would rather hinder than help

your investigation.

My fear is, if they do so, this headwind will turn into a tornado.

I'm not one for politics.

I just want my son back safe.

Yeah.

Child cries out in need.

Decent father finds a way to rescue him.

I trust you to do what's right.

Andrea says Jacob made that call to his dad from a landline at this house.

South end of the roads.

Trying to stay off the grid out here.

Homeowner's a family friend of the Nash's.

He's out of town right now. Swore she didn't know they were here.

Guys!

Miles Kittle, U.S. Marshals. I need to talk to you.

On you.

It's Jacob Green.

There's no way the Nash's killed Jacob. Their fingerprints were all over the

house where he was found. And Casey said that they sounded pissed on that phone

call that Jacob had reached out for help. You got means, motive,

opportunity. It's harder to refute the Air Force's allegations after this.

It doesn't make any sense.

They chose to cut and run, okay? We can't let them get any further. This is

now a murder investigation, so can we punt it? Nice try.

DOD priority is answers on the drone. Techs are working through the computer

we found at the brother's place, and I shed some light on all this.

Well, we'll keep our feelers out and attack this again in the morning.

Good night, y'all.

Night-night.

Hey. This came in the mail.

Crestwood University, over by Missoula.

Oh, we don't talk business at the dinner table.

Well, it's not business.

It's your future.

Gonna be 18 soon. You giving it any thought?

I... I'm supposed to focus on if I should take Cindy to the prom.

I went to college for you.

Dreamed you'd have a life beyond this ranch. You're really going to guilt me

with that?

We're talking about what Mom wanted.

You really think she'd want you hunting people from her tribe?

I think there's a lot she wouldn't have been proud of recently.

Which is why I'm trying to square you away.

I keep telling you I'm solid.

Hey, you know, all we've been through, I think maybe we could use a break.

We say we go fishing on the Gallatin this weekend. Like old times.

You really think I want to be anywhere near a river?

How you feeling?

Big day.

I don't know if we can't locate the nashes.

I loaded my tablet with TV shows, got a deck of cards. You know, I wasn't sure

if travel scrabble was, like, too much. What the hell are you on about?

Activities for us to do during your chemo tonight.

Us? Yeah. Look, I'm not your son, and I don't need any helicopter friending,

okay?

What about one is none?

You got bigger issues.

And I don't need a handhold.

Anything new on the Nash brothers?

Oh.

No activity on cell phones or credit cards, no sightings or tips, but our

digital evidence text finally cracked into that laptop.

It turned out to be code in ashes, so check this out.

The Nash's shot all this video of the drones? For what?

Seems they had an audience.

Footage was uploaded to a file sharing site to one anonymous user. These drones

are top secret technology.

Ones that a whole host of people from foreign militaries to rival

corporations, they would love to get their eyes on this. And pay a fortune

for. Whoever was on the other side of this file share got a damn good look at

some forbidden hardware.

Maybe the Nash's wanted to cut Jacob out of the windfall.

Espionage.

Domestic terrorism and murder aren't enough to hang on these guys. Well, I

was just... Following the evidence.

Nothing you're accusing them of rings true.

So how was their friend left dead on the kitchen floor?

I don't know.

Everybody's hiding something.

I'm asking for patience.

We are all heartbroken.

And we're seeking answers.

It's not even the worst.

I've suffered this morning. A young man getting killed like that's got to spark

a lot of anger.

Shouldn't be aimed at you.

Jacob was wearing a Thunderbird. Thought maybe he'd want to give it to his

father.

Yeah, I do.

And Jacob was killed by his friends.

And one of our own families did this to another.

Is he in there?

Hey, you can't go in there.

Security.

He said you would protect him.

And he said if we went to you, you'd know how to help him. Look me in the

eye. You're liars.

You saved your peace, Lawrence.

You let the Nash's take my boy away.

And you're still sitting here? Well, someone's got to take action.

Broken rock knows hunger.

We know heartache.

But we don't know division.

Factions, go and rest.

Five Hunts, we're now a multi-generational family feud.

We stay on this path that will begin to fracture like the Navajo in Pine Ridge

before us.

You've always held this community together, even in the face of tragedy.

I'm trying to hold on.

It's all slipping away.

Their faith in me, my certainty that I know what's best for them.

If there's further bloodshed, this military testing may have stoked a fire

on the reservation that cannot be extinguished.

Had to go over rainwater.

Well, it seems like Jacob Green's family's looking for some revenge

against the Nash's.

Yeah, hopefully it's just talk.

Blood feud.

Something I know about.

Wanting vengeance doesn't mean they're going to be capable of getting it.

Yeah, Green did some tours in Iraq, and his other son was a vet, too. Another

reward for the service is having the military terrorize their damn home.

Yeah, DOD has a talent for creating collateral damage.

Yeah, as I am reminded with every doctor's appointment.

Your cancer is related to your time in the Navy. Doc thinks burn pits.

There's a spike in lung cancer rates that tracks with my Afghanistan search

record. We thought the demons in our heads was our only party favorite.

At least this damage, you know, can be pinpointed and eliminated.

It's a hell of a lot easier than battling the invisible wounds.

Those invisible wounds sure make it hard to ask for help.

That's why I can't blame Tate, man, for not being able to tell you what he

needs.

Yeah, it's a good thing we're all so great at accepting help, given

everything else that ails us.

Yeah, who said it? Hey, just got an anonymous tip. Someone spotted the

Nash's at an old Broken Rock Community Center.

Before it gets out, could tee up some range justice.

Start a civil war.

Must stop before it starts.

Attended drone practice here as a kid, now I'm about to assault the place.

In the name of keeping this community intact.

It's on the other side of that door we're going through.

Series of rooms, all vacant now.

Point of entry on north, south, and east side of building.

Ideal spot for the Nash brothers to lay low.

Broken rock can't stand any more bloodshed.

We need to take the brothers alive.

Weapons tight, suspects alive, y'all. Come on.

Take cover!

Everybody good?

Who the hell were those guys?

No way the Nash brothers just handed us our ass like ninjas. It's unlikely Jacob

Green's family has that kind of tactical gear. One way to find out who we're up

against.

Whoever

the

shooters are, how are they step ahead of us?

Ted, show up. Paul Rez knows about it. Look, Nash's might still be here, so you

two on me. Here we go.

I was running for my life.

I'd sit cover in those woods.

On you.

U.S. Marshals, don't move.

Help, please.

It's Matthew Nash.

He's been shot.

Gunshot wound to the right shoulder.

I'm going to need medical.

It looks like Coda must have bailed. What's the trouble, Ken?

Hey, Casey, Miles. We got a suspect down inside. We got no eyes on Coda.

Copy. Oh, this kid's bleeding out. Need a bus.

We're on the outskirts of the res. Help is far away.

I'm gonna plus up Miles and Casey.

Y'all roll medic and render aid to Matthew here, okay? No, no, no. Take one

of us with you. This ain't the time to be fussing over me right now, y'all. We

have two unknown shooters out there, and Koda Nash is likely armed, too. You need

every gun in the fight we can offer.

Hey, Dre.

Make sure he pulls through.

No, no, no. Come on, Matthew. Stick with me.

Will my brother be okay?

Doing our best.

Could have done a lot more to protect you if you hadn't been on the run. We

didn't do anything wrong.

The drone that killed Uncle Charlie fell out of the sky.

You're saying his death was just an accident?

No way.

Government claimed to be testing surveillance drones, but that one was

armed.

It exploded right before impact.

They killed Uncle Charlie.

A crash was armed, and this is all a cover-up.

True or not, Coda's still in danger.

Hey, what?

This way.

Part of the cover-up. One machine's hunting Coda.

That's why we gotta get to him first.

Two shooters with eyes in the sky is gonna be hard to overcome.

Cal, drone stalking Coda could lead the shooters to him or us.

Yeah, copy. If this happens off the books, they could have someone piling in

on the ground here rather than remotely.

Okay, Paul.

Trail's running cold.

No blood.

It's this way.

You know this terrain. If you were going to hide, where?

There's a deadfall shelter up ahead. It's probably there as kids.

Coded with no one.

It's right here.

U.S. Marshals.

Koda.

You have your brother?

We're here to help you.

This is all a cover-up. Why not tell anyone?

Your own military is hunting you. Who can you trust?

We're documenting everything.

saving his turn over to We're really sure who some of the Air Force and

horsemen in black They saw us have the crash site filming crash site video.

Did you upload it? I never had enough time Still my phone

It's unarmed yeah, but it circled back spotted us I never meant for

any of this to happen.

I just wanted to protect the res It's not going to take the shooters long to

spot down on us mere jacket in your hat

Are you sure? Only since you're covering down on me. What are you doing? He's

buying us time, throwing the shooter off of us.

Stay right here

This

bird

office still searching

Yeah, that's him. Remote setup.

I'll draw them out.

Now you got a boy to go hunt.

Don't need hand holding.

U.S. Marshals!

Get drone operator down.

Give me some cover fire.

Copy.

Two shooters down hard. All clear.

I like to believe we weren't just at war with our own military.

Where's Savionics?

That's his body, man.

All this to keep the dark money flowing.

Military industrial complex doesn't have a lot of honor.

There's a lot in that decoy run you just made.

Made it for my brothers.

All of them.

This day, y'all, saved two lives, exonerates three young men, and we just

prevented an insurrection and broke around. Anyone else wondering why Escher

came to us if he already had his own hired guns?

That's because the Air Force really believed that the drone was shot down.

So... I mean, I sure you had to play along. So that investor call was him

trying to keep the Broken Rock 3 out of our grasp. He knew they had video

proving they were illegally testing armed drones.

Yeah, well, now CODA sent the video to Air Force OSI, so it's in their hands.

Hopefully, justice is served. Good work, y'all. I'm going to get to my thing.

Hey.

You sure there's nothing we can do?

I'll take another lap on that, okay?

This is my battle.

Well, saving Matthew's life like you did.

You sound surprised.

Dark room, unknown threats.

I was worried you might spook like you did in that basement.

Bella, I'm solid.

CEO Gavin Escher was arrested today. It's like Escher's going down.

Would have sworn the DOD would sweep this under the rug.

You two kept a tragedy for becoming Broken Rock's doomsday.

Man, there's a moratorium on testing near our land.

Awful big of the government?

Well, thanks to you, the men who stood up for our people will rightfully be

seen as heroes.

Broken Rock keeps needing heroes and martyrs. It means something's deeply

wrong, and it needs to change.

Chairman rainwater Thank

you

for getting justice for my son, just sorry we couldn't get to him sooner.

Thanks to you I know it took his life. I know he's a good boy

I'm so sorry

for your loss

Tribe seems to remember how you fight for them. More Lawrence does.

Nash family still blames me for what happened.

Miles is right about change.

I need to consider other paths.

Open my eyes to other visions for Broken Rock's future.

Other visions?

I give my blessing to a tribal member who wants to start a cannabis growing co

-op on our land.

How far?

He argues it'll bring new life to the community.

Jobs.

Hope. You believe him?

What I believe.

as if I don't try something new, drastic.

The people I care so much about, they step away from me forever.

Yippee!

All right, relax.

um is

You can fight me all you want.

You are not facing this alone, Peter Calvin.

Hey. Once you get on up to bed, we got to be up at 7.

I told you I don't want to go fishing.

Not fishing.

Taking you to see a therapist.

What? Are you serious?

It's the last place my father would have taken me.

The last place I would have gone myself.

Hoping that makes it the right place for you. I don't need a shrink. I know it

seems drastic, son, but outside help is the best thing for you. I'm not going.

Damn it, Tate, there ain't no disobeying me on this. Go to bed.

Stay tuned for scenes from our next episode.

What brings you here? Just a top 15 fugitive.

Yeah, what's the stakes up, Nate?

It's bad, you know, it's made a tone for him.

Help!

Martial Arts is all new, CBS next Sunday.

Tracker is all new, CBS next.
