The way I see it, Grizzle must be working for Shere Khan,

but why would Shere Khan want to recruit more henchmen?

Shere Khan has always wanted to control the jungle.

With Grizzle's help, he could upset the balance

of hunting power.

We've got to stop him right away.

Not only did they sneak up on us and steal our food

but they injured one of our fellow hunters.

- They broke the law

and now it's time to make them pay for it.

(all shouting agreement)

- We want revenge! - Get 'em now!

- All right, that's enough!

Quiet everyone.

It seems clear that Grizzle and his cohorts

have committed a hunting raid

which is one of the worst crimes a wolf can commit.

Under the law of the jungle

we must hold a trial

and if they are guilty, punish them.

(wolves grumbling) - Forget the trial.

Let's attack them

and teach them a lesson. - Quiet everybody!

I want to warn you all.

These wolves are desperate.

They won't simply give themselves up.

We'll have to capture them to try them.

That's going to mean a fight, brothers and sisters.

Violence between wolf and wolf.

I never thought I'd see the day when we'd bare our fangs

to our own kind.

We can ask Grizzle to find some shred of nobility

in himself and lead his gang away from here.

Yes, Akru, the years have made Grizzle thoroughly bad

but if I go to him alone, old and feeble as I am,

and explain our point of view to him

then surely even Grizzle will listen.

(wolves shouting)

to deal with Grizzle. - With our fangs!

(dramatic music)

- Well, I hope this experience

has taught you all a very valuable lesson.

When you hunt without the leader,

someone always gets hurt.

what Grizzle's true intentions are.

He wants to take over our hunting grounds.

If he and his gang succeed in taking over

our whole way of life will be threatened.

if I thought it might prevent a violent outbreak

but I see now we have no choice.

Wolf pack, hear me.

The time has come to fight for survival.

(cheering)

There are only three of them.

- [Mowgli Voiceover] It won't be as easy as they think.

Shere Khan and Tabaqui are on Grizzle's side.

Now it's time for me to plan tactics

so let's end this assembly

and agree to meet again tomorrow.

(howling)

- Well, it looks as if there may be a fight.

I think we were wise not to tell the pack about Shere Khan.

We can't afford any foolish mistakes.

and Grizzle together so I don't think

there's any mistake.

- If Shere Khan is involved

then he'll probably come to Grizzle's aid

and bring Tabaqui with him.

This isn't going to be as easy as I thought.

Grizzle is a ruthless and cunning fighter.

With Shere Khan on his side,

he may be hard to beat.

- Akela, I have an idea

how we can chase Grizzle away without a fight.

- Without a fight?

- What if we seek out our friend Hathi

and ask him to help us.

Hathi the elephant?

- Yes, there's only one animal in the jungle

who can strike fear into Shere Khan's heart

and that's Hathi.

If we explain our situation to him

I think Hathi will gladly help.

If he joins us against Shere Khan and Grizzle,

they'll lose their nerve.

Luri, I think it's a brilliant idea.

It offers us the chance to get rid of Grizzle

and his gang without a battle pitting wolf against wolf.

and ask for his help.

If he agrees, I'll come right back with him.

You can say the same about most buffaloes

(elephants trumpeting) (wolves whimper)

you became the boss around here.

(elephants trumpeting)

(thudding footsteps)

(wolves whimpering) And I don't like any

of what I've heard.

You're a ruthless marauder, a criminal.

I'm not going to stand for your presence

in this jungle one more moment longer.

Now leave before I throw you out.

- But we're not really criminals.

We're just high spirited.

- Keep your mouth shut!

(snarling)

Because if you aren't, I'll treat you just like I treat

any other miserable insect who refuses to obey me.

(stomping thuds) (wolves whimpering)
