let the pack go hungry?

(gasping)

their food reserve.

and they thought one of their own

had stolen it.

(growling)

demon's trick, right?

Then the demon played
a more dangerous trick.

It whispered lies.

And the monkeys fought with each other.

(gasping)

- An ugly tale.

- Indeed, but it's instructive.

demon must have done this.

- Excuse me, what do demons look like?

- They can't be seen,
even by the sharpest eye.

The keenest nose will
never smell them out.

(gasping)

- If we can't see them or smell them,

then how can we chase them away?

(jungle sounds)

and I got caught.

(thundering)

That's the story.

It was stupid of me.

But when you're really good at something,

and then you can't do it anymore,

it's hard to face.

(thundering)

- Was Alexander really your friend?

- No, I made that up.

I only met him once.

He saved my life when
I was being attacked.

(wolves running)

- Mowgli, Fargas!

(thundering)

(growling)

(dramatic music)

- Demons.

(snarling)

(growling)

(thundering)

- I don't think you'll have
any more trouble, Akela.

The demon attacked Fargas.

But together, Mowgli and Bagheera

came to the rescue and
drove the demon away,

never to return.

Now we can be at peace.

(gentle music)

(fire crackling)

- Red flowers, they finally came.

That means game in the jungle again.

Fargas, come and see. Fargas!

- Fargas is gone, Mowgli.
