a Wishing Bulb in our yard.

of a Wishing Bulb.

And I realized eventually

that he had just painted
a lightbulb green.

But back then,
I really believed

in the magic of it.

that it would grant me one
Christmas wish every year.

So, I wished..

for a merry Christmas,
like we always had.

And he promised me
that it would come true...

presents, decorations,
a beautiful tree.

through a messy divorce

about the art installation

behind you. I know that I am.

Before it's illuminated I think
we should have a few words from

the artist herself to
explain her unique vision.

Ladies and gentlemen,
Hazel Desmond.

Thank you. Thank you all.

I was so excited
to be asked to do this.

Firstly, because it's an honour
for any artist to be asked to

exhibit in such
a beautiful hotel,

and secondly,

because I truly love Christmas.

My art symbolizes our
memories of Christmas past

and how we carry
them with us always.

The light represents
retrospections of

the lives within us.

It reminds us that
we don't need to mourn

the lost experiences of our
youth as long as we keep them

illuminated in our hearts.

And finally, I would
like to make a dedication

to the most artistic
square peg I've ever met.

Okay, without further ado...
