It was my father...

who made your father like that.

What does...

that mean?

It was an accident caused by my father...

that made your father like that.

How could it be possible?

You are joking, right?

You are just lying.

Tell me that you're joking.

I'm sorry.

After the Imperial Card, they are planning a card for the general public.

- Episode 18-

This Woo Byung Do seems to be someone suspicious.

Have you investigated why he is always staying with Choi Seok Bong?

We are investigating him.

This Woo Byung Do seems to be interested in precious metals.

And his approaching Choi Seok Bong might have some purpose.

Oppa, are you interested in precious metals?

This is made out of precious metal too.

Is it?

Yeah.

Rude Seok Bong's necklace and this are all made of precious metal.

Manager.

Please take a look.

[Second Generation Korean Wealthy Families Interested in Precious Metals]

This...

Please swallow it.

You are back.

Ahgassi doesn't look that well. Did anything happen?

You must be tired. Should I have a bath ready for you?

May I ask Butler Kim to leave for a while?

What?

After all I'm a butler who is as close as a family member...

Although, there might be some conversations that I should not be privy to.

I got it.

Did something happen?

Yes.

Choi Seok Bong's father...

I already told Choi Seok Bong everything.

Oh...

So it's about this matter.

I should have told him myself.

Are you doing okay?

Father...

I did right, didn't I?

Study hard.

Don't think of me again.

Only when you study hard will you be a successful man like your father.

This little kid sure knows how to judge a person's character.

You must keep your promise to look for my father.

Let's make a pinky swear.

You have to...

It sure has been a long time since we last saw each other, huh?

Ah...

It's such a nice weather.

It's time for you to stand up, isn't it?

We might become in-laws very soon,

because my Woon Seok is going to marry Tae Hee soon.

However...

about the things Chul Min left...

You have those, right?

I'm sorry, I should have told you sooner.

Yes...

You should have told me sooner.

But, why didn't you?

Because of my sister,

it's hard for me to acknowledge you.

Whenever...

I thought of you as Chul Min's son,

I couldn't come up with the courage to tell you that it was my mistake.

However, when the time is right...

The time is right?

Who decides when it's the right time?

You made my father like that and you want to decide when the right time would be?

The truth is, you don't want to tell at all, do you?

If your daughter had not told me...

I can't keep my mouth shut any more...

Let's stop right here; please leave now.

Let's continue.

It's okay to say anything until you feel better.

You really only care about yourself.

The reason you want me to feel better is so that you can feel relief too.

No, it's not that easy to forgive the pain in my heart.

Please watch your steps on your way home.

Are you tired already?

Because you were waiting for me.

Are you sick...

of waiting some more?

Your eyes looking at me...

I can tell how hard it is on you.

Your eyes looking at me;

it's hard on me too.

Oh, if only we didn't meet

right from the start.

Then we won't have to face

something so sad.

Are you regretting

having thoughts like these?

Do you want to leave me?

Is that it?

Are you hesitating because

you can't bring yourself to say goodbye?

Or is it because you don't

even want to say that line?

Is it because you're too sick of it

to say anything?

Don't leave me...

Wait for me.

I can't even say

such simple words to you.

I'm even avoiding

your eyes...

[Permit issued to Ha Jeong Tae]

Where is the original?

I thoroughly searched everywhere but couldn't find the original.

I am very sorry.

However, I did find this box that looks like a memorial box.

This...

When the wind is blowing...

take shelter in father's arms...

Really.

Why...?

Now is the right time?

Why is now the right time?

Who decided?

Who decided now is that time?

Let go.

I decided.

Now is the time.

The time is right.

I'm going to reveal my true identity now.

What?

Then...

Seok Bong and President's daughter, that director,

are dating?

It's true.

Our Kang Suk has no hope.

So that's why President was here?

So he can tear them apart?

Who knows?

Ah, it would be nice if he let them be.

Our Seok Bong

suffered so much physical and mental pain

while looking for his father till now.

It would be so nice if he could be with the woman who loves him

and live a happy life together.

Yeah...

But a parent's mind is different.

Even if President was good friends with Seok Bong's father...

After all, Seok Bong is an orphan.

And Oh Sung bought Seok Bong's father's company back then, didn't they?

So would it be possible for President to treat Seok Bong as a son-in-law?

That too... But what else could he do if his daughter likes him?

According to Butler Kim,

Director Lee Shin Mi is deeply in love with Seok Bong.

Besides, they already spent a night outside together.

Really?

So they really are...

Lower your voice. Don't let Kang Suk hear that.

I said, what are you talking about?

You want to delay the engagement ceremony?!

Yes, I want to give Tae Hee some more time.

I already said it's unnecessary.

I'm okay. Let's go on as originally planned.

Daddy, don't worry.

Follow the original plan; it's okay.

What's going on with you two?

Tell me, is there anything wrong with Tae Hee?

Problem... I already told you there isn't any.

Nothing! Nothing what?

If it's really nothing, why would he bring up delaying the engagement?

Nothing... nothing. Just take it as nothing has happened.

I just keep thinking of Rude Seok Bong...

What?!

Hey!

I already told you not to think of Rude Seok Bong.

You couldn't live without Woon Seok

so I went through great lengths to get him for you.

Why are you thinking of that guy?

I don't think of him because I want to.

- All this is because of... - You dare say "because of you"?

Since when did you care so much?

And you want to delay the engagement?!

Stop this nonsense!

It's an absolute no, if it's Rude Seok Bong.

Stop beating around the bush; it's final.

Do you understand it now?

In other words,

till now, I've been living all for this precious metal business.

And I...

I've been living my life for my father.

But I have started thinking of living for a particular woman.

But...

Why?

Why?

To get into the precious metal business,

we need to sign a cooperation agreement with Japan.

Which means...

I need you now.

Our director also needs me very much right now.

I'm inviting you right now.

I need you to do this business.

So I was thinking of proposing to her.

And the result...

I wasn't able to give this necklace to her.

This guy really, only knows to interrupt other people at crucial points.

Hey, You! Are you listening to me?

I'm going to Japan next month.

You need to make up your mind before that. Do you hear me?

Hyungnim!

Hyungnim...!

Hyungnim!

I haven't had such a terrifying dream for a long time.

How could I dream of being captured by that Blowfish?

My whole body felt like being hammered by someone.

I must have been crazy to have helped him borrow money.

I couldn't sleep the whole night.

Why do I have such soft ears?*

(*soft ears means easily convinced by others.)

I really want to put these ears in a bottle

and throw it into the ocean; for it to drift away.

What do you think?

Oh...

Ahgassi.

Ahgassi...

Ahgassi?

Ahgassi... Ahgassi.

My God, you were here all night long?

You drank wine without any food to go with it?

And all by yourself...?

You should have taken some fish from the freezer and eaten it with hot bean sauce.

Also, if you are going to drink imported wine,

then you should have called me...

- What time is it now? - Right now?

Oh...!

Ahgassi, are you okay?

Should I call a doctor for you?

I'm okay, don't worry.

There's still some left.

Please wait a minute!

Good morning.

Wait a minute!

Thank you.

Good morning.

[Let's meet on the rooftop during lunch break. ]

[No, please give me some time to think. ]

Director!

Huh?

Oh...

I'm okay...

I'm okay.

Manager Min, let's go to the meeting.

The meeting is half an hour later, isn't it?

Let's start now.

We have decided to cancel everything related to the engagement.

If Chairman finds out then he will be worried.

I'll tell my father.

Team leader Jeong just concentrate on preparing our new Oil Free Card.

Yes.

What's going on at Smart Card?

This is the report about Oil Free Card.

This time Boo Hoo prepared Oil Free Card to counter our Echo Fashion Card.

Their card provides discounted gas for office workers.

It targets office workers like us.

If this continues, then the market for the working level customer

is going to be taken over by Boo Hoo which has a larger customer base.

How are you going to address this?

This is the upgraded version of Win-Win Card.

It's for students entering the work force; it's centered on the hope for work.

We are preparing for its re-introduction.

We will combine Win-Win Card and Echo Fashion card...

Why is Win-Win Card back up all of a sudden?

I let you in charge of this project for you to redeem the failure of Win-Win Card.

No, it's too early to call Win-Win Card a failure.

The key points of Echo Fashion Card

are discounted transportation and saving the environment.

By combining Win-Win Card and Echo Fashion Card benefits,

there will be much greater impact in publicity.

Would this be able to counter Boo Hoo's threat?

No.

What I want to propose is not how to counter the opponent's threat

but how to withstand the threat.

This is the affirmation

that Echo Fashion Card is a success.

Listen to me, Jong Heon!

We have spent so much of our efforts in this business.

We can't stop the development of the mine.

You want me to work with the guy who played my sister?!

How could you tell me to do so?

C... Chul Min!

Chul Min.

It looks like I shouldn't keep this anymore.

Your father was a very brave man.

He picked the precious metal business back then

when no one else was interested in it.

We decided to start the business with Jeong Tae.

If we could find the precious metal mine,

then our nation in the near future would become powerful and influential;

just like the other world powers.

He was quite different from me.

Although we were both doing business, he always looked towards bigger things.

That was Chul Min and Jeong Tae's goal

and their lifelong wish.

Father.

It's a special card designed exclusively for salaried workers...

The details are written below...

How are you? Smart Credit Card...

Thank you.

[Introducing Oil Free Card - Bu Hoo Credit Card. ]

How are you? This is the new Echo Fashion Card from Smart Credit Card.

This is the brand new Echo Fashion Card. Please read the introduction.

Thank you. Thank you.

How are you? This is from Smart Credit Card.

Before you get here...

It's alright if I'm all alone.

I hold the world in my hands.

It's alright to be lonely.

My heart's so full; tomorrow's tucked in my bosom.

It's alright no matter how tired.

Manager Min...

Manager Min.

I...

Choi Seok Bong!

Your nose is bleeding.

Choi Seok Bong.

Last night, you worked overtime again?

Yes.

Aren't you overworking yourself?

Everyone say it's frightening when you work.

Director, over here.

Have a seat here.

Just eat your meal.

Manager Min!

Why did you ask to meet here?

Just because Director and Choi Seok Bong used to date here.

I was really envious of them.

Are you tired already? Because you were waiting for me.

Are you sick of waiting some more?

Your eyes looking at me... I can tell how hard it is on you.

Your eyes looking at me... it's hard on me too.

Oh, if only we didn't meet right from the start.

Then we won't have to face something so sad.

Are you regretting thoughts like these?

Do you want to leave me? Is that it?

Are you hesitating because you can't bring yourself to say goodbye?

The combination of Echo Fashion Card and Win-Win Card seems to be working.

We never thought it would have such a good response.

You call this an explanation?

You said this was Choi Seok Bong's idea.

Yes.

Team leader Yoo says, Choi Seok Bong sometimes shows more talent than others...

Call team leader Yoo right away and tell him,

now is not the time to praise Choi Seok Bong's talent!

It seems you still don't understand.

I'll cut anything useless even if it's my arm.

I advise you to straighten yourself up.

Choi Seok Bong is indeed very capable.

You asked to meet with me just to say this?

But, if you spend all your abilities in Oh Sung, then you'll regret it for sure.

So don't waste them.

Are you talking about what President Lee Jong Heon did to my father?

The reason you said I have to be on your side... Are you talking about this?

You only know to use this to threaten me?

Only know to use this?

You really are different from other people.

Correct, I'm different.

It seems you never thought that I would be this capable.

Now that you know, don't make any trouble for me or Lee Shin Mi.

Lee Shin Mi is no longer a woman you can easily take advantage of.

I am very disappointed with you, but still I would like to have some pity on you.

I hope that you won't be left in my memory as a cruel man.

I'm leaving first.

Pity?!

That's your kid's video?

Show me; let me watch too.

Pretty, right?

My God, so cute!

After watching this, I want to marry soon and have a cute baby too.

Team leader, do you have two cell phones?

Oh...

Ah... Wait a minute.

I told you not to call me during office hours.

Could it be...?

Director.

It looks like team leader Yoo has an extramarital affair.

What do you mean?

I am talking about cell phones. He has two cell phones.

And he takes the call in secret. It's a sure sign of an extramarital affair.

Stop worrying about other people's private lives. Don't spread any rumor.

How could he do that?

His wife works so hard to take care of 3 children. Indeed no man is trustworthy;

except our Manager Min & Choi Seok Bong.

There are two exceptions now.

Manager Min...

Let's take the stairs for exercise.

Exercise at night would increase hormone production and cause insomnia...

Let's go. It's okay.

How long are you going to think about it?

What are you thinking of...

Choi Seok Bong!

You didn't answer.

Should I take it as you think it's time to end our relationship?

Why are we taking the stairs?

We can't ask Director to walk down the stairs.

Can't you wait for my call?

Why are you pushing people so hard?

Why do you keep calling during office hours?

I'll meet you right after work.

These men...

Don't make quick judgments on this kind of matter...

Was it my fault that the card performed well?

Do you know how hard I worked to create troubles here?

What else could I do if the market responded well?

What? No way!

It was dangerous enough that time when I stole the hard drive.

Now you want me to do that kind of thing?

You go talk with Manager Choo. This kind of request is too much...

Bu Hoo Credit Card

has used stolen information from Smart Credit Card to gain market share.

That guy!

What is this?

You!

Are you intending to bring down Bu Hoo?

I am very sorry.

Can sorry resolve this matter?

It's a good thing we delayed the engagement. Get out of here, now!

I will just discard the marriage proposal. Get out of here, right now!

President. What are you doing? Calm down.

Calm down?! Do you think I can calm down?

Your son is going to destroy my company.

How can I calm down?

He claimed he didn't send someone to steal it at that time.

And now they know we stole Oh Sung's intelligence.

How shameful is that?

Listen to me, Woon Seok didn't order this.

You, too.

You're also at fault.

You taught your son to steal and you are going to blame it on whom?

Steal... Steal something?

You are not allowed to mention stealing anymore.

Oppa, are you okay?

Even if Woon Seok Oppa stole something,

there must be some reason to forgive him.

Father haven't you stolen anything?

Father didn't you...

- Hey! - Earrings...!

Haven't you shut your mouth yet?

Besides, can these two things be comparable to each other?

It's all because of your mother that I made that rash mistake.

It's also a mistake for Oppa.

He did it to impress Father; trying to save Frontier.

Right, Oppa?

I already forgave Father, so Father should do so too.

It's a mistake so you must forgive too.

If you don't forgive him then I will really care a lot about Choi Seok Bong.

Aigoo...

Aigoo! My head!

You, come over here. Over here...

What are you doing? Father what are you doing?

Even the engagement was delayed.

What is this? You claimed you can handle it. Is this all you can do?

So much effort to reach the engagement and you can't even prevent it from slipping?

Also,

If you really have a fiance...

But, this...

This guy is...

This...

This is the severance pay that Director said to give to team leader Yoo.

Why give severance pay to a traitor?

Everyone says so too.

Director says to pay you for your services since you did work with us.

Based on the reports,

Bu Hoo Card's performance and the number of current customers are decreasing.

On the other hand our Eco Fashion Card's performance is increasing.

Judging from the current trend, it's only a matter of time before we reach number one.

Please keep doing your best. You have done a great job.

Yes, I worked hard.

However, my efforts can't compare to Choi Seok Bong's.

Please give Choi Seok Bong a hand.

Even with different looks; born into different worlds

So long as it's you.

Choi Seok Bong, you worked hard.

No matter how tiring; how difficult

So long as you're with me.

There's nothing to fear.

So long as it's you...

So...

Did you think it through?

What are you considering that is taking so long?

Why think so hard? The harder you think, the more second thoughts you'll have.

So the reason you came to my house is to do this business with me?

That's why I say...

my father abandoned me, his son, in order to find the person he can do business together.

But...

Why does it have to be me?

Ah...! that's right!

Why does it have to be you?

You should ask your necklace.

When I picked up your necklace and

the moment I realized your necklace is made out of molybdenum,

I...

felt right away you should be the person.

Okay, let's do it.

However,

if you have any intention of scamming me, drop it now.

If you can't drop it...

Then you do it on your own.

Director, should I make a cup of coffee for you?

Please.

[Credit Card Revolution Perdition]

[After three full years, Smart Card finally regains the number one title]

Han So Jung!

Let's have a party today.

Okay.

[Resignation Letter]

Han So Jung, what is this?

That?

Early this morning, Choi Seok Bong left that there.

Why, isn't he here yet?

Excuse me...

It's cold out here, let's go inside.

What are you doing?

Stay right there!

Little fellow...

Choi Seok Bong!

What are you going to do?

Because of you and Lee Shin Mi,

the relationship between Woon Seok Oppa and father is completely broken.

Our engagement is on the verge of being called off!

What happened to Choo Woon Seok wasn't caused by anyone but himself.

Who did it to himself?

Ah! I don't know... I don't know.

How come it turned out like this?

Do you know how hard it has been for Woon Seok Oppa to try and save his company?

Bu Tae Hee.

Woon Seok Oppa was very tired already.

I kept thinking of you, Choi Seok Bong.

And I can't choose between you two and so gave Woon Seok Oppa more pressure.

How tired could he have been?

I'm warning you, don't make things difficult for Woon Seok Oppa from now on.

You.

Don't keep running into my heart.

If you dare enter my thoughts and prevent me from focusing on Woon Seok Oppa, I'll...

Secretary Yoon what are you doing? Let's go.

Oh...

Just like this... I told you not to do this kind of thing.

Don't catch me when I fall and just stop paying attention to me!

Choi Seok Bong, you're a bad guy; with bad manners.

I'm asking you to change that.

What's wrong? You are going to stay up all night?

How could I?

Oh my...!

Ahgassi! Are you alright?

I'm not okay... I'm not okay!

Aissh...!

[President Lee Jong Heon]

Despite time flying by, this place hasn't changed.

Here, have a cup from me.

No, thanks.

Right now, I don't feel comfortable enough to drink what the President pours for me.

I heard you turned in your resignation letter.

Yes.

That... that... please stop drinking.

You've already had too many.

Not at all, I'm okay.

I'm doing well.

How could you be fine?

You're doing this because of Choi Seok Bong's resignation?

I said I'm doing just fine.

Hey, Han So Jung.

Let's play the staring game.

Forget it.

Let's play the rice barley game.

Rice barley game?

Director, you really are drunk.

Stand up.

I told you no already.

You don't know how to play the staring and rice barley games?

Fine.

Then, let's tell some jokes.

Jokes?

Um, joke...

Director, joking doesn't seem to fit your mood right now.

Joking best fits my mood right now.

I'm in the mood for some jokes.

I am letting you make a joke on me.

Okay, since you insist then I will make a joke.

What kind of joke?

Forget it, forget it.

I don't make jokes with just anyone.

I don't just do that with anyone...

Do you really have to turn in a resignation letter?

You...

even if you can't forgive me and blame me,

you never thought of staying on my side?

Maybe...

If Chul Min knew he had a son like you,

even despite of what I did,

I think...

I might have been able to have you on my side for a long time.

It's not that.

It's me who doesn't want to stay in Oh Sung anymore.

If the reason you want me on your side is out of guilt and regret towards my father,

then I should refuse even more firmly.

You shouldn't be so firm; you can consider it more.

There is no need.

I have no such intention.

It really is a very firm decision.

Chul Min...

he wasn't firm like you.

You...

must be more like your mother.

I get it.

Then let's end it for now.

I would like to stay here a little bit longer.

Let me pour a drink for you.

Please pour me a drink too.

Not as a friend of my father, or President of Oh Sung Group.

I would like to accept this drink from the hand of the father of the woman I love.

Thank you.

For bringing up such a lovely daughter.

To the father who brought this woman, Lee Shin Mi, into this world,

I wish you health and happiness forever.

I don't want you to feel guilty or tired anymore

because you're the father of the woman I love.

I wish you can receive your forgiveness soon if you are seeking forgiveness.

This is from the bottom of my heart.

I am expressing my feelings now.

I am saying you are good.

[Battery is low]

[Choi Seok Bong]

Once it was blowing like a breeze

Your lover destroying love... Your fiery love holds me

When did it disappear?

Even when you saw me falling...

You, you are still so cold.

The number you dialed cannot be reached.

[I am at our... ]

My God, what is all this about?

Ahgassi! This is the first time I saw Ahgassi like this.

What's going on?

My God... My God.

Is it because of slimy slimy slimy worm?

That... All of you get out.

Yes.

Father.

Why did you do that?

Do you want to leave me?

[I am at the place near Han river bridge where we came together before. ]

[I miss you. ]

Don't leave me, wait for me.

The number you dialed is turned off.

I can't say even such simple words to you.

Hyung went to Japan with my father early this morning.

Japan?

Japan?!

Yes, he says it is for business.

Are you feeling okay?

What can you do if I weren't?

Let's go.

Here, here, here, here.

How is the right to precious metal?

Success? Negotiation? Did they let us do it? Will it work?

What's going on, really?

You better take this, Driver Kim.

How could you call me Driver Kim?

To an investor whom you should appreciate, yet...

No... What really happened to the agreement?

Failure or success?

The contract was signed.

We'll be receiving the merchandise next week.

Really? Really? Really? Really?

Curly Hair and Octopus

really made the deal with unstoppable force.

You worked hard... you worked hard.

Come, I'll safely take you guys to the office.

Please get in, Director Choi, Manager Woo.

Director Choi first... then Manager Woo.

Please get in.

Yahoo!

Come, come. This is our office.

The proud office of ours...

Manager Woo please make a copy of today's contract.

Just in case...

Is it that hard to do it yourself?

That's what you have me here for, right?

Right, Director Choi?

Director Choi, Sir.

Sir, too?

Forget it if you don't want to.

No. No, not like that.

Director Choi, Sir. Sir. Sir.

How difficult would it be?

I bought these computers.

I rented this office.

To be precise, don't forget you promised to pay me back with a 47 inch LCD TV

and a lease payment for a 32 pyoung size apartment.

(32 pyoung size is a medium size apartment)

Write it on your palm if you are afraid you might forget.

Forget it.

Before that, let's have name plates first.

Okay, okay... I'll have it by tomorrow.

Director Choi Seok Bong, Sir.

Manager Woo Byung Do, Sir.

However, why did you take the manager position instead of the director?

It's usually the manager who holds the real power.

Did you see any handsome rich guy as president in TV dramas?

They are all managers.

Manager, Sir.

Your mouth is so slick.

Can you handle it or not?

Manager Woo, Sir!

Are you looking for me?

Oh... Yes.

You...

bring this...

over to Jeong Tae.

I have no right to bring this to him.

I should have returned it to him long ago.

Many times I wanted to return it to him.

However, every time I see Jeong Tae's face, I couldn't do it.

Now that you know everything,

please return this to him for father.

Jeong Tae is the one who made this.

The health condition of Ha Jeong Tae is getting worse.

But his mood seems to be getting better quite a bit.

He likes to listen to romantic music all day long.

You leave...

and the love is leaving too.

The you, who watched my shaking hands

without a single word...

You leave...

and the love is leaving too.

Left with the scar of love...

Oh!

I never hoped to gain your love.

I simply wish you can stay by my side.

Oh, lovely...

Just like the time you came.

Leaving also...

Oh, just like that... leaving freely.

Draw our Shin Mi and me together.

Pretty.

I haven't accepted your resignation letter yet.

You should.

Does that mean you are not planning to come back?

No.

Listen carefully.

From now on, I will not return to Director Lee Shin Mi's side.

But if it's by my Soon Mi's side, that changes things.

Let's go, Soon Mi.

Don't call me Soon Mi!

Soon Mi...!

- I told you not call Soon Mi. - Soon Mi...

Oh...

You have this picture too!

Your father.

Is he?

He had lots of hair when he was young.

Chul Min.

This is Kang Chul...

This, Choi Seok Bong, is your father.

My father was handsome, right?

Then this is...?

He is right in front of us.

This is... Ha Jeong Tae.

You were really handsome when you were young.

Although I feel sorry for my father in saying this...

But to tell the truth, you are more handsome than my father.
