Timing & Subtitles brought to you by the Dancing Fingers @ Viki

I like you!

I liked you since long ago!

Treat it as a parting gift.

Return Cloud Inn

The Wings Mansion!

Where are you going? Wings Mansion!

Do you miss your love?

I think I saw the Wings Mansion last night.

Wings Mansion? Where?

Inside my room.

He came into your room?

Then is it male or female?

Does he look nice?

I don't know either.

How could you not know? You didn't look carefully?

No! It seems like I was dreaming too.

Just what are you saying?

I was still half asleep last night.

Suddenly, I saw a black shadow.

And then, on top there was the "Wings" character.

When I wanted to go look carefully,

he had already disappeared.

In another blink of an eye, it was morning.

So it was a dream.

I remember that the Vermilion Bird's fire lit up.

But it's gone now.

If the Vermilion Bird Wings Mansion is nearby,

this fire would definitely light up.

I think it's possible that you really were just dreaming.

You dream of what you think of during the day.

When will there be a hint?

There won't be a hint even if you sit here and keep thinking about it.

Have you not heard of a saying?

The more you are in haste, the more you cannot get there.

How about this? Let's go and take a walk!

Perhaps, there will be some unexpected things happening!

Let's go!

Su Mo, let me ask you something.

What type of girl does Shangguan Jin like?

I don't know.

Liar!

You've been with him for so long. How can you not know what he likes?

For example, what kind of songs he likes, and what he likes to eat!

Who's lying to you? I really don't know!

You're so petty. You're not telling me, right?

I'll go ask myself.

-Sir Shangguan.-Miss, do you need something?

Didn't we already say that you wouldn't call me Miss?

Such a delicate money bag can only fit

only fits Lord Shangguan who is such an exquisite person.(For the editor: I think exquisite or refined will be a better term than delicate in these two successive lines.)

Miss' magnificent intention, I...really can't bear to accept it.

Then do you dislike my needlework

Or is it me?

Miss, you are being too serious.

It's just that your gift is too valuable.

So, I cannot accept it.

It's just a money purse! What's so valuable about it?

Actually, I understand your heart.

When you're with me,

you don't need to be so burdened.

Even if I lose out a little,

just put whoever you want on your heart.

As for me, just make it up a little bit.

I'll take care of all the money in the future.

I won't lie to you anymore.

I'm just worried that even if we summon the Vermilion Bird,

it's possible that my wish won't be granted.

A woman should plan her future early.

We are fit for each other. You have skills and I have the looks.

Aren't we quite well matched?

Let me tell you. Why not just go ahead with it?

Miss Hong Ling, you are indeed quite upfront.

But aren't you worried that if you find someone you like in the future,

you'll regret the choice you made today?

Like?

I'm afraid that in my whole life, besides money,

there will nothing else that can move my heart.

It's a deal!

Once we summon the Vermilion Bird, if you and I aren't married by then, I'll get married to you!

This is great!

I don't need to worry about my future life anymore.

Little kid.

I told you not to come!

You bad person, locking me inside the room! Don't you know how much it stinks inside?

Wind gets in too! I-!

-You're laughing at me! I'll fight you!-Stop it!

Chi Yu, what do you plan to do?

After night falls, let's go get some news inside the city first.

I'll go wit you.

Two people together can watch each other's backs.

I want to go too! I'll enter the city with you two!

I don't want to stay here with that petty guy!

Who wants to be with you?

You two go with him. I'll just wait here.

-You are such a wimp!-I'm a wimp?

Even if I'm a wimp, I'll live longer than you!

I only said that I'll bring you all here.

I didn't say that I'd play with my life with you.

-He said my life is short!-How about this?

Pei Pei and Xiao Bing, you two stay here.

Watch the ship.

No! I want to enter the city!

It's too dangerous.

This-! What's so scary about danger?

My magic is so strong! I won't be afraid of danger!

I'm telling you, you can't go.

Hero Chi Yu, Hero Chi Yu, let me go!

Fine then. Since you...

then I'll show mercy and accompany you to watch the boat.

Go on! Don't worry!

What did you say to Pei Pei just now?

He was so good and agreed to stay behind.

I said that the ship needs his protection. If anything happens while we're gone and Xiao Bing can't be depended on,

he's the only one who can protect the ship.

You really have your ways!

He's just a child.

(Green Hill)

What is that?

The Green Hill Country has a lot of jades.

Their national beast is the nine-tail fox.

This is the national flag of Green Hill, jade-faced nine-tail fox.

So a nine tailed fox really has nine tails?

Buy a jade!

Come and take a look!

-It's good jade!-Why does Qing Qiu have so much jade?

Green Hill has many jades. The soft jade is mildly glossy while the hard jade sparkles.

But if we're talking about the top quality, it's a type called Psychic Jade.

Psychic Jade?

They say that this jade is very rare. It can cause two people's heart to be as one.

Is that so? Where is it sold?

Since it's such high quality, how can it be on the street?

What do you think, Miss Fu'er? Is Qing Qiu a good place?

Fu'er.

Do you know about Chi Yu's past?

I don't.

Actually Chi Yu is the prince of Qing Qiu.

But many years ago, he was kicked out of Qing Qiu.

He's a prince of Qing Qiu?

Then is his father a great general of Qing Qiu?

Shangguan Jin is called Sir Jin

because of his great ability.

But he is from a general's family, not of a royal bloodline.

And Chi Yu is a real prince of Qing Qiu.

Then isn't his father the king of Qing Qiu?

But many years ago, a fortuneteller said he is a calamity star.

He also said that he would personally kill his own father.

So, the king of Qing Qiu couldn't keep him here.

General, you've finally arrived.

I've already prepared the villa.

Good.

Brother Bing Yi, go take Miss Fu'er to rest first.

I have something urgent to take care of.

Shuang'er, sit.

General, that Hong Tai has already been locked up at Yun Wu Zong.

This is the strictest prison in the whole of Green Hill.

Right now, General just need to give the order.

- Where's Suen Ju?- He?

So happy in being a King.

That's great.

Let's just let him continue being King.

Return Cloud Inn

I knew that I wasn't dreaming that time.

You're that sure?

Maybe you're also just dreaming now.

That can't be. I felt pain when I pinched myself.

It's really you! Do you know that we've been looking for you for a long time already?

Who really are you?

I'm a ghost not a person.

Don't scare me. I only have very little guts.

Where are you?

If I don't want to, you will never find me.

But...

But you guys need me to summon the Vermilion bird.

That's right.

It's also possible for me to come with you but I need an answer.

What must one do to dissolve the grudges and hatred in this world?

- Dissolve the grudges and hatred?- What's the use of summoning the Vermilion bird?

This strength will eventually be taken advantage of by grudges and hatred and bring more wars and disasters.

It's not like that.

We want to summon the Vermilion Bird to protect the citizens of Jiu Li.

Citizens of Jiu Li?

Then what about Dong Ling?

Nan Yue? Bei Di? Green Hill?

and other tribes and countries?

What will they use to defend against your so-called protection?

Who among you can guarantee

that after waking the Vermilion bird up,

this world won't have any wars and be peaceful?

Don't go first!

Don't go first!

Vermilion Bird Mysterious Lady, let's just talk about summoning the Vermilion Bird again

once you are able to give me an answer.

Timing & Subtitles brought to you by the Dancing Fingers @ Viki

Porridge with scallops and choy sum to warm your heart and stomach.

Taste first my culinary skills

and you'll know that you won't be in a disadvantage if you marry me.

This bowl used up a lot of my money.

Hurry and come over to have a taste.

Thank you.

The Wing Mansion has appeared!

He really appeared! I'm not dreaming.

- Where?- In my room.

But he has already left.

How can you let him go?

He said that if I can answer his question,

he can come with us.

What question?

How can one dissolve the grudges and hatred in the world?

That...what kind of question is that?

How can grudges and hatred be dissolved?

For example me, if anyone hurt me,

I will surely seek revenge.

That's why little by little, grudges and hatred will only become deeper and deeper.

How can it be possible that it will disappear?

But we can choose not to seek revenge and just endure it.

Endure? If someone killed your parents,

killed your siblings, you can endure it?

Actually, whether it's the person who initiated the war

or the person who just passively joined the war,

they all have a wife and kids,

parents, and brothers.

And then war will cause a lot of innocent people to die.

And anyone who experienced war

will always feel that the things they lost shouldn't have been taken from them to begin with.

And their pain will slowly accumulate.

Until one day, these pains will become grudges and hatred.

By this time,

any person will lose their judgement of reality.

They will then seek revenge, continue the hurting. Never ending.

To try to understand and even pardoning your enemy,

that is impossible!

Even the immortals cannot do it.

That's why this question of his is really hard to answer.

Then is it non-answerable?

Don't worry.

I will help you to think of a good answer.

Hey, Mu'er, you must be hungry.

This scallops and choy sun porridge warms the heart and stomach.

- Eat some.- Thank you, Brother Shangguan.

Very delicious! Hong Ling, do you also want to eat some?

I...am not hungry.

If you want to live, don't shout.

I'll ask you some questions now.

If you dare to lie to me,

you know what the consequence is.

Hero, please spare me. Hero, have mercy.

Where is Hong Tai?

I-I don't know who is Hong Tai.

He's the spy who was sentenced to die.

Oh, it's the prisoner that the King personally interrogated. He must have been imprisoned at Yun Wu Zong.

Yun Wu Zong?

Right. There's poison everywhere around Yun Wu Zong.

You'll surely die if you forced your way in.

It's me.

You want to save Hong Tai? You'll have your chance in the future.

The King has already ordered the wizards to put up the best quality defense.

If you want to break into prison, that is impossible.

I know that Hong Tai is locked up in here.

Don't forget.

Green Hill and Dong Ling currently are allies.

You also have a part in killing Hong Tai.

I have not even a bit of interest in Hong Tai.

Then what are you planning?

Catch me to seek reward?

What is Prince Yu saying?

Have you forgotten?

We have an agreement. Once you've become the King of Green Hill,

we will have a lot of chance to work together in the future.

Let me tell you.

I returned this time to save Hong Tai.

Hong Tai is an important criminal that the King himself sentenced.

Looks like this time, you're decided to go against your father.

I helped you before.

This time, there's no harm to help you again.

What really are your intentions?

I just want you to owe me more favors.

Don't you worry.

You won't get any benefits from me.

You can't be sure of that.

Maybe one day you'll come around.

If you want to save Hong Tai, I have a way.

Don't know if Prince Yu is willing to listen?

I have a mansion in the western side of the city. You think about it well.

If you come around, then come find me but do it quickly.

I can wait for you but Hong Tai will not be able to.

This is my ball

- MIne.- Mine! Mine!- Mine. Mine.- My ball.

- I got it.- Give it to me.

Don't be afraid.

- I won't hurt you.- You...who are you?

You don't need to know who I am.

Tell me, what happened in your household?

I-it's...Little Miss.

Little Miss was killed by a person named Hong Tai.

General asked Ms. Fu'er to go to his place after dressing up.

He said that he has something important to tell you.

Come in!

Fu'er

What?

Ms. Fu'er doesn't like the style of clothes here in Green Hill?

Why did General asked me to change clothes?

Let me tell you a good news. Chi Yu is here in Green Hill.

Then is there someone else by his side?

There's no one else. He came here be himself.

Why did he come here?

Didn't you say that his father is currently chasing after him to kill him?

This I also don't know.

He'll be here in a while. How about if you ask him yourself?

He'll be here in a while?

General Baili

You're really thoughtful.

Ms. Fu'er

You must change into Green Hill's clothes now, okay?

If he sees it later, he surely will feel familiar, right?

Hey, you. Why are you laughing?

Can't I be bored?

Who cares about your unusual skill?

You guys are finally back

How was it? Did you find anything?

How come you guys are only shaking your head.

The defense in the city gates is very tight.

Information are sealed like a steel tube.

No harvest at all.

I initially wanted to find my old friend and ask her.

But she's alraady dead.

Then we don't have any information now.

We must not act rashly.

I did see Baili Han.

He said that he can help us.

I reckon that it's connected to a trap.

Baili Han?

Xiao Bing, you know him?

I don't know him.

It's just that...this name sounds very familiar.

So what if there's a trap? Who's afraid of it?

Look. The two of you have very good martial arts skills.

Adding my very brilliant brain,

what's there to be afraid of?

Can you not be boastful?

I still won't beat you in being one.

- You...- The two of you, don't argue anymore.

Baili Han's power within Green Hill is more profound.

He surely has more information than we do.

We can only cooperate with him now.

That's our only hope.

How about we gamble it?

We can only do that now.

I'll go with you.

You going alone is very dangerous.

- I also want to go.- You?

Xiao Bing, stay here.

You don't need to risk danger and come with us.

The Baili Han you mentioned earlier really sounds familiar.

Although I don't know where I heard it but maybe he's someone I know.

I want to see him.

Oh, I even thought you've become heroic already.

Never thought, you have your personal motive.

Okay then, let's go.

You stinky kid!

Hey, do you think this dress is pretty?

Pretty.

Is this hair tie not as pretty as the previous one?

Mysterious lady is beautiful a person so you're pretty regardless of what you wear.

Then how about this dress

pairing it with this shoe color, is it a little weird?

Is Mysterious Lady nervous? This color is good.

It makes mysterious lady especially tender and beautiful.

Then do you feel that it's better to wear this hair pin

or this hair pin?

Which one looks better?

- All of them are pretty.- Which one really is better?

- Choose this then.- This?

I feel that this...

Oh, Brother Ping.

What's going on today?

You're like another person.

Really?

Then would I be hard to recognize anymore?

No. You look very pretty.

Hey, Brother Ping, do you feel that it's better to put this on or not to put it on?

Both look good.

So is it better to have this on or not?

Put it on then.

It was already so long since I saw you this happy.

Because Chi Yu will be coming today.

Chi Yu is coming?

Green Hill is his home province.

Brother Bing, do you feel that he will be surprised by me?

Timing & Subtitles brought to you by the Dancing Fingers @ Viki

I've been waiting for you guys for a while already.

Come, please have a seat.

No need. No need.

Let's just talk about business first.

It seems like you've already known that we will come to find you.

I am not a wizard. How can I predict it?

But to save Hong Tai, you guys will definitely come here.

You don't have anyone you can trust in Green Hill.

The only friend you previously have has also died.

- You know?- I don't just know her.

I even know that it's the Green Hill King who killed her

and then blamed it on Hong Tai.

I said that I will help you guys.

That's why I investigated everything.

And also, Dong Ling and Green Hill are allies.

It's easy for me to put some trusted men in here.

General Baili

If I discovered that you did some tricks here,

you know that I won't let you go.

Okay then.

Everyone, do you like to hear my plan?

What are you doing?

General Baili

Have we met?

Maybe.

In this big world, people come and go.

Nothing is impossible.

I really feel that I've seen you somewhere.

But...

But I can't remember it anymore.

You Jianghu big swindler, you can't even remember your surname.

- What else can you remember?- You...!

Just slowly try remembering it. Maybe in the future, you might remember it.

Come, hear my plan first.

Shuang'er!

Come.

Report to Prince Yu the information you've gathered

these past few days and my plan.

Please follow me then.

Come, please come here.

Let's go.

Yun Wu Zong. It has the tightest security system in all Green Hill.

Even if the clouds go there, it will also disappear without a trace.

That's why a prison break is impossible.

Acting rashly will only alert the Green Hill King.

If the Green Hill Kill changed his mind and had Hong Tai killed within the prison,

then all our effort will be in vain.

That's why, the only possible way is to save him on the day of his execution,

which is at the execution venue.

From Yun Wu Zong do the execution venue, you must pass through three roads.

Can we save him during the transport?

Impossible.

The Green Hill king has already set up his best guards for this event.

Within three meters of Hong Tai, there will be 3 martial arts masters.

That's why, the defense is greatest during the transport.

But once in the execution venue, everything is different.

There are only 2 persons that is nearest to Hong Tai.

One is the priest while the other is the executioner.

The priest is weak like a scholar so he's not a problem.

While the executioner's martial arts skill is even inferior than a normal guard.

Hence, the execution arena is our best venue to take the prisoner away.

But how are we to hide prior and how do we get near?

Based on the Green Hill King's decree, the execution will be done at dawn.

What we must do is to merge within Green Hill's soldiers.

It's not good to see during the night, hence, it's our best time to take advantage of.

Hey, sister! You kept saying how to save the person.

But how about after saving the person? Hoards of soldiers will be arriving right away.

By that time, we will be easy targets. We won't even have time to cry.

Hey, you don't plan to use that chance to catch us all with one net, right?

If I want to do that, I can do that now.

- Hey, she's belittling us.- Pei Pei

Enough.

That is my plan.

Prince Yu

What do you think?

Is the execution time already confirmed?

You don't need to worry about that.

How about this then.

You guys stay here in my mansion for the next few days.

This is the safest place.

And also, the Green Hill King will not suspect it.

Ruo Shuang, order the servant maids

- to give the guests the most comfortable rooms. - Yes.

Everyone, please wait for a while. I'll take my leave first.

You!

I'm sorry. I'm sorry. My hand really just slipped.

What are you doing? Are you releasing wooden spiders again?

Look how petty you are. Narrow-minded ghost!

Hey, what were you drawing?

Were you thinking if you really know that Baili Han or not?

Aiyo, let me tell you.

If you really know him, it must be that you have seen him once during the times when you were swindling.

He and I

didn't just meet once.

Then tell me,

when did you meet him?

I can't remember it.

You guys must be extra careful of Baili Han.

If not for saving Hong Tai,

I will not work with him.

Once we've saved Hong Tai,

he might have something else set up.

For Baili Han to help us, he must have some other motive against Green Hill.

I will never let him get what he wants. Once we saved Hong Tai,

let's immediately leave.

Brother Chi Yu

I have something to tell you.

Let's talk outside.

People who know me ask what my heart is worried about.

People who don't know me ask what I want.

Let me drink and be merry.

Only by this can I not be sad forever.

I've finished drinking the wine. You can go now.

Aren't you even a bit curious

why I would help Chi Yu?

I'm curious.

But would you tell me?

You really know

what is on my mind.

I'm just concerned about Fu'er's safety.

I don't want to worry about other things

and there's no need for it.

Brother Chi Yu

Long time no see.

Fu'er

Why are you here?

I really never thought that we will meet here in Green Hill.

Say, isn't it such a coincidence.

Coincidence?

I don't think so.

That's also right. We've said so before that we'll meet again.

This must be what they call fate.

Fu'er

It's Baili Han who brought you here to Green Hill?

But what do you want to say to me?

Brother Chi Yu

I didn't know your story before.

I didn't know that you have such a rough life experience and past.

But instead I was very stubborn then.

Can you forgive me?

Actually, you don't need to pity me.

Maybe in the past,

I did feel the the Heavens were unfair.

I felt very angry.

But now, I don't think that way anymore.

Why?

Because if there's no past, then there won't be a present.

I, right now, feel very contented.

Because I have a group of friends I can depend my life with.

Brother Chi Yu, be careful of Su Mo.

Su Mo is a very fake person.

Why did you say so?

She treats you as her best friend.

- She misses you all the time.- She never really treat me as her best friend.

She's the one who brought misfortunes to our town and destroyed Peach Blossom Hollow.

She stole my Vermilion Bird Mysterious Lady position.

She even did nothing to save me.

How did she did nothing to save you?

She just left me there to die.

I don't know what you want to say.

She knows that I like you.

That's why she wanted very much for me to die.

This way, no one will compete with her anymore.

Fu'er

I think there are things I must clarify with you.

I'm the one who likes Su Mo.

It's me who wants to be with her

and not her trying to compete with you.

She told me

that only when she gets your blessings

will she agree to be with me.

I will never give her my blessings.

I will definitely not agree.

Why?

Why must it be her?

If there's no her,

will you like me?

I won't.

I only see you as a good little sister.

I don't believe you.

I don't believe that you don't have any feelings for me.

It must be her. It must be her coming in between us, right?

- I hate her!- Fu'er!

Calm down a bit.

I don't want to calm down.

I've already waited for you for this long.

I must tell you everything now!

What magic technique is this?

You can absorb and feed on a human's spiritual energy?

I-I didn't.

Brother Chi Yu, I didn't.

Brother Chi Yu, please believe me.

I will definitely not harm you.

Believe me.

Believe me.

This magical technique...

were you the one who taught her?

All of these are thanks to you.

Please disappear immediately

after you finished saving your friend.

Fu'er, let's go.

Wing Mansion

Wing Mansion, are you here?

- Wing Mansion --- Are you looking for me?

I'm just checking if you're in the vicinity.

Can you answer my question already?

I feel that if there is mutual understanding and peaceful coexisting

then there won't be grudges and hatred anymore.

As long as you are alive, you will unconsciously hurt others.

Hatred will never disappear.

In a world like this, there won't be real peace.

But...we can work hard to learn to forgive.

If someone kills your most beloved person,

your family,

by that time will you still be able to say that people can mutually understand each other

and not be filled by anger and grudge?

No.

If I don't give you an answer then you won't be with us, right?

Right.

You've decided to give up?

No. Give me two more days.

I'll think about it again.

I'll wait for it.

When you've come up with the answer, then we'll talk about summoning the Vermilion Bird.

Wait!

Can you show me what you look like?

And also, what's your name?
