Previously on Finding Mr. Christmas.
Why do I have to be in charge of the donuts?
Five holiday hunks were still in the running for a leading role in a Hallmark
movie.
In the festive face-off, they had to sneak Santa's presents without making a
peep. This is absolutely impossible.
Then, in the star quality challenge... Interesting.
Oh, no. What?
The hunks had to create chemistry with a hallmark superstar.
I just want to hold your hands. Okay. Look into your eyes for, like, ten
seconds. Okay.
Some delivered the holiday magic.
I'm not emotional. I'm just... Okay.
Others fell flat. I could use some of that molasses.
Davey, you're going home for the holidays.
Now, just four leading men remain as the hunt for Mr. Christmas continues.
Dude, you guys are going down.
You're going down. Final last words.
Final last words. Told you. Oh, my God.
Oh, man.
Oh. The very first word.
Your last words.
Oh, man. I feel like we're in a Hallmark movie.
I know, right? What a coincidence.
Are we already in the movie?
I mean, dude, we're in the top four.
Yeah. It feels unbelievable.
We all want that leading role in a Hallmark movie. We all deserve it.
It's really splitting hairs at this point. I feel like I've learned
something really special from each one of you. Like, Craig, just being able to
improv in a scene, you know, and not be afraid to really go deep into a
character. Thank you. Angel, I feel like I've learned from you to just be the
suave guy, the cool guy, you know? And then Rustin, you just... What do you
mean? You're always so articulate, and I've learned to, like, show more of my
personality because of you. Thanks, man.
You know, I know my mom, when she finally sees me on the show, is just
gonna probably break down in tears, just in happiness.
Yeah, you're bringing her a lot of joy during the holiday season, man, and
there's nothing better than that. This is kind of surreal.
Just like a month, month and a half ago, my mom was diagnosed with cancer.
It was a hard decision whether I should come here and do this competition, but
she was very supportive of me, like, go do it. So I'm doing this for her. She's
probably so stoked that you're here. She's probably so proud.
So proud of you, bro.
Yeah, pretty neat. Go, go, go, go, go in. Go in.
This is it, man. This is the very last one. What's the bell?
We got to go.
Let's go.
Come on. Come on. It's festive time.
Only three of us moved to the finale, so it's so important to be one step ahead.
I need to win this festive face-off. This is mine.
Vamos!
Hello, hello, hello.
Good morning, guys. Welcome back to the workshop.
Good morning. Thank you. I know the last elimination was tough for everyone.
It's only going to get harder now that there are only four of you left in the
competition.
Because only one of you will be crowned Mr. Christmas and land a leading role in
a Hallmark holiday movie.
All right.
There's no better feeling during the holidays than to open your mailbox and
find a Hallmark Christmas card from someone you love.
So we want you to take some time and write a Christmas card to your biggest
super fan.
Your mom.
In this festive face-off, you'll have 10 minutes to lay your heart out in a card,
be authentic, honest, and really express yourself.
You know, I am a boy mom. I have a son. And I think there's nothing like seeing
something handwritten and to get something in the mailbox. We don't get a
lot in the mailbox anymore. We get magazines and flyers and that kind of
stuff and bills.
So to have something handwritten from my son would mean... Anything. And Riley, I
miss you. Call your mother.
I'm excited about this challenge because my mom was the very first person to be,
like, going to absolutely crush whatever you put your mind to. And so this is my
opportunity to show her how much I love her.
It's time to open up your heart and put some time into the person who has put so
much time into you.
Ready, set, write!
All right.
Um, which one are you going for?
I'm thinking this one. This one.
My mom's a beacon of light for me to look up to. When I first told her I
would love to be an actor, she was like, if it's something you want to do, follow
your dreams. So I want to let her know how much I appreciate everything that
she's done for me.
I feel like my mom has sent me so many cards over the years to show me that she
loves me. Anytime I've gone away for a show, she's found out what my address
was, and she's like, okay, cool, cool, cool. And she's like, break a leg, and
opening night, and she'll just send me stuff.
I feel like I should send her more cards.
I'm writing my mom a poem showing her how it feels to be loved by her.
Just peeking.
Just peeking. Just kidding.
Write like the wind.
How does the wind write?
What'd you have for breakfast?
You have about three or so minutes left. Are you serious?
Yeah. My mom, she's a warrior, she's a strong lady, and she has shaped me into
the man I am today.
Are we being judged on handwriting?
My mom and I have a very special relationship.
Her and I are silly, goofy. That's kind of how we bond together.
I can't fit everything I need to say to her in a simple card, but... I'm going
to do the best I can.
Two minutes.
I'm sweating more doing this than I was doing any of the other challenges.
Good. I like to hear that.
So I have an idea, but I need to borrow a little something to make it happen.
I'm telling you, I am that person at a post office. I send cards all the time.
He's putting on lipstick.
Wait, that's mine.
That's so cute.
All right, finish up.
All right, time is up. Pens down.
Now it's time to introduce our guest judge.
Wow.
Come on in.
Hi, Mom.
Mommy.
Mom. What the heck?
You have no idea how much I miss my mom, and this is so special.
What the heck?
Surprise!
We're so glad you're here.
We're glad we're here.
Oh, and by the way, guys, you'll be reading your cards to your own super
fan, your mother's. Oh.
Craig, you're up first.
Okay.
Says, Mommy.
Does that look familiar?
Yes. So my mom sends me cards and kisses the back of them. So why do you always
kiss the envelope for Craig?
I mean, who wouldn't? Look at him.
He's just my heart.
He really is.
Mommy, Merry Christmas from the North Pole.
It's cold here, but don't worry. Your son has won back-to-back star quality
challenges. So your son is hot hot hot Mom without you I'd be lost
The only reason I'm this far along in the competition is because of you
I Love Endlessly and I can
only hope I Make you half as proud as you make me
Love, love, love, Kregis.
P.S.
Jonathan is taken, so don't even think about it.
Oh.
Whoa, I love it. Seeing her eyes start to get watery and her emotions flowing
when I was reading that to her, it's untouchable.
Love you, Ma.
I made the envelope.
Yeah.
I get it, Mom. I get it.
Janet, you must know this. This is very, very, very Craig. It is sentimental, it
is funny, and it is full of heart. He's got all those three qualities.
Laughter through tears is my favorite emotion.
That's, like, our thing.
We'll be doing silly, goofy stuff, walking around the house.
Like, just doing nonsense.
And then it's like Craig and Mommy talking. Yeah.
That's the best. And I'm me because of her. Thank you.
Angel. Okay.
You will always, always,
always be their baby. It doesn't matter how big you get. I will always be her
little baby, yes.
There is so much I want to tell you and thank you for.
I remember...
That moving to the United States wasn't easy and that you sacrificed so much.
I am forever grateful.
I want her to see me shine,
fulfill all my dreams, so she can know that whatever she did
is not for granted.
Rustin, can you please read your card to your mother?
So I went ahead and kept the lights on inside.
It says... What's it say?
It says shine.
Mom.
Shine on, she said.
The light felt bright, a warmth in the night.
I've seen the sky and the stars that shine, but one shines brightest, this
star of mine.
Every night I dream.
of the star she sees.
Oh, my gosh.
That's beautiful.
It's such a gift. It's like an invisible cloak of power that you wear knowing
that you have a mother's belief on you. Beautiful.
Marcus? Yes, of course.
I'm the real super fan. She's the super mom.
To my super mom, thank you for giving me an amazing life.
I wouldn't be the man I am today if you didn't sacrifice working all night at
the hospital and making sure I was provided with everything that I ever
needed all by yourself.
You supported me in every step of my life and continue to pick me up even
when you're in your darkest moments.
I want to cherish every moment we have left together. And I promise never to
take another second of time with you for granted.
You're a super fan.
Marcus, I love you.
I love you too.
I'm just glad I was able to get it out. I'm glad she knows it now.
I'm glad I was able to tell her then.
All right, now we have to get down to business and choose a winner.
Oh, gosh.
The guy that put his heart on his sleeve is... All
of you.
Congratulations, you're all winners.
I was going to say.
You can't measure that.
So you all get an advantage for this festive face-off, and that is spending
time with your moms.
Amen. They will be here until elimination.
And guys, we will see you later at your next star quality challenge, where it
will be tremendous.
Oh.
Get out of here. Have fun. Go hang out with your moms. Go.
Coming up, your co-star for this challenge, Sharon Lawrence.
Wow.
I'm getting to run lines with my mom, which is epic.
Mom. Mom. Mom. Mom!
I was blown away.
That I'm here? Yeah.
I was blown away that I'm here. Yeah, I can't believe it. I feel so supported by
all the guys here.
But my mom obviously being my biggest supporter, it means so much to have my
mom here.
Do you have a favorite moment?
Oh, I remember this one moment where I was standing in the workshop and my mom
came in.
Well,
first of all, I miss your mug.
That's one of the reasons why I want to be here. I do. But then this is where
you are meant to be. It just feels like an unbelievable privilege with life.
Amen, babe. Amen, man. Yeah, yeah.
I have gifts.
It's just a little something. Thanks, Ma.
Wow, nice.
Well, we just wanted to let you know that you always, always are at home with
us. Chipping away at that dream, right? I mean, here we are on Hallmark
together. What the heck?
Together. Crazy.
How have you been feeling with everything that's been going on, like
mentally and physically?
I mean, it's been somewhat hard mentally because, you know, you have to prepare
yourself for the worst.
It can be a lot.
But, I mean, you're strong.
You've already beat it once, so you can beat it again.
And that's what I think, too. I just want you to know that it means a lot for
being here.
Just seeing you come in has already given me a lot of confidence and
motivation to keep pushing through the rest of this challenge. I've always
known that you could do anything you wanted to do.
Yeah. Ever since you were a little boy.
I couldn't ask for any more.
Yeah.
Thank you. Mm-hmm.
What? Hi, guys.
Hello. How do you guys keep getting in our house? I know.
Don't ever leave the key under that rock. Seriously.
Every time.
This is your last star quality challenge before the finale of Finding Mr.
Christmas. Okay.
This is it. This challenge determines which of you three goes into the finale
to compete for the leading role in a Hallmark holiday movie.
Okay. Sounds good to me. This is my last chance to prove myself, so I have to do
the best I can to be in the finale.
Up to this point in the competition...
We've asked you to step into star-quality challenges and embody
classic Hallmark moments.
But there is one we haven't touched on yet, and that is the true meaning behind
Christmas. Family.
The glue that holds any Hallmark movie together.
Yeah, so true.
In this challenge, you'll take on a scene about coming home for the holidays
and having a very special moment with Mom while decorating a beautiful Balsam
Hill Christmas tree.
Really harnessing the Christmas spirit between a mother and a son.
Wow. Okay.
I never feel more loved than I do when I'm at home for Christmas with my
family. We're looking for your emotional side, how you connect with your co-star,
and overall leading man energy.
We want you to give us all you got. And to help you along the way, we are giving
you the greatest gift.
Your co-star for this challenge is a TV legend and iconic actress.
I've worked with her in The Christmas House and The Christmas House 2, Deck
the Halls.
She played my mother.
Award-winning actress Sharon Lawrence.
Oh, my God.
Wow.
Hey!
Wow. Since I was a kid, I've seen her in movies and TV shows. She's an amazing
actress. So it's crazy that we get the opportunity to work with her. I'm so
honored and excited to be here. I'm so proud of my boy.
And to be part of your next step is a gift to me.
Wow. Nobody will ever replace my favorite TV son-in-law. Yeah, don't even
try. We'll see.
That's right.
So, as actors, the relationships you make with your co-stars when you're
playing family is so beautiful and strong, and there's just nothing like
it. And the perfect example is when it came time for my wedding, because my
mom... Happens to be in heaven.
Sharon stepped in to be my mom during that moment in time and was the flower
girl for me and James.
And this is the best TV mom in the world. And so I am so excited to get to
share her with you guys.
Thank you for sharing and thank you for being here.
Now, Sharon, what do you want to tell them before they dive into this
emotional scene?
Try to find that emotional intimacy.
I'm trying to find a way that we become a mind and a heart meld. And it'll be
different with each of us.
Guys, we are looking forward to see you warm our hearts in this scene.
Here are your scripts.
You'll get to rehearse with your moms.
I'm gonna run lines with my mom. I feel so supported and loved by her.
Get to work! All right, thank you. Good luck, gents.
Let's do it, guys.
Thank you so much.
Break a leg.
They grow up so fast.
They're so charming. They're so cute.
Oh, my goodness.
I can't believe it. You're here.
I hated the thought of you being alone this year.
So I had to come.
Merry Christmas, Mom.
So the scene is about Sharon Lawrence is going to play my mom, going to play her
son. And we are going to have the first Christmas without my father, her husband
of 40 years.
She's trying to pretend she's OK, but I know she's hurting.
This is an emotional scene, but... I'm up for a challenge.
So interior living room evening, mom's 70s. You're not 70s, you're 60s.
Stands in front of a Balsam Hill Christmas tree.
I've actually run lines with my mom before.
She's not an actor, of course, but I'm convinced she's a genius. Actually, like
Albert Einstein type genius.
I hated the thought of you being home alone this year. I had to come.
Don't be silly.
I'm not alone.
In fact, my calendar is packed.
She once read an entire physics book, cover to cover.
and then taught me it in one day to where I got an A on the test.
I thought I was doing so well.
You're doing it.
You're doing it awesome.
This looks beautiful.
The cookies are done.
The pressure's on.
This is a huge scene, but I actually feel really at ease because my mom's
here.
Merry Christmas, Dad.
You said you wouldn't be back in time.
The first of anything after 40 years without your husband is going to be
hard.
Don't be silly. I'm not home alone.
I've got things on my calendar.
You can just read the lines. You don't have to look at me.
Doing an emotional scene, you have to go very deep and bring so much more to the
character than just, you know, what's on the page. I love you. I love you.
Look at Armand.
Ah, it's on my teeth.
Ready?
All right, let's do it.
Hey, have fun, man. Yeah, break a leg.
Do yourself.
Coming up... He's acting with Sharon Lawrence. Here he goes. Knock, knock.
Mom, it's okay not to be okay.
I get it. I know exactly what you're feeling.
These chairs, they really aren't the most comfortable.
Welcome to set life, Janet. Welcome to set life. What's up, Craig?
How's it going? Good. How are you feeling? I feel good.
Sharon, Craig, meet your son.
What's up, Ma?
I'm so glad to have you home. I'm glad to be home.
It's really, really tough to be able to hit specific emotions at specific times.
You really have to jump out of your own body.
and put yourself into the skin of the character.
All right, this is it, Craig. You got it.
Picture's up!
Wait, it's gonna start.
All right. Okay. Put it by your ear, and you get to watch.
All right, get to watch your son.
He's acting with Sharon Lawrence. Here it goes. Action.
Knock, knock.
Trying to surprise her.
That's amazing. He always enters his scene so beautifully.
Anybody home?
Oh, my goodness!
I don't believe it. You're here?
I'm here, Mom. I'm here. Oh!
Merry Christmas.
But you said that you weren't going to be able to make it. I rearranged some
things. I hated the idea of you being alone.
Don't be silly. I'm not alone.
As a matter of fact, I have a very packed calendar.
You know, your Aunt Carol, she's coming by tomorrow.
And I've got Tuesday, the girls' annual holiday brunch.
Mom! What?
It's okay if you're not okay.
I'm not okay.
Is it that obvious?
You could pretend everything's normal.
But doing the first of anything without your husband of 40 years.
It's hard.
The truth is, I don't really know who I am without your dad.
I don't know who I am without dad either, Mom.
But I do know that dad loved presents.
Yes. Right?
You'd hate to see us crying on Christmas Eve.
Right? Right.
Go for it.
You always called me your North Star, so that seems fitting.
It is perfect.
Thank you.
Love you, Mom.
Merry Christmas, Dad.
Wherever you are.
And cut.
And cut. That's it.
You can clap. That's your son.
Yeah. Thank you.
Thank you. Oh, you're taller than I thought.
Yeah, I'm about the size of your average Christmas tree right there.
All right, Angel and Beatrice, we are ready for you.
I've never played a son before.
I have to stand out, impress the judges, impress my mom, and get through to the
finale. Here's your boy.
Here it is.
Action. Knock, knock. Anybody home?
Oh, I don't believe it.
You're here?
Mom.
We're here. Merry Christmas, Mom.
I had to rearrange some things.
I hated the thought of you being alone this year, so I had to come home.
Oh, honey, don't be silly.
I'm not alone.
In fact, my calendar's packed.
Your Aunt Carol, she's coming by tomorrow.
And on Tuesday and Friday, I have something that's even... Mom! What?
It's okay not to be okay.
Is it that obvious?
Thought I was doing so well.
The first of anything.
Without having your husband of 40 years, that can be hard.
The first Christmas is enough to break your heart.
The truth is I don't really know who I am without your dad.
I don't know who I really am without him either.
But what I do know, he loved.
And he would hate to see us cry on Christmas Eve.
So, I got you something.
Oh.
Oh.
You always call him your North Star. It seems fitting.
Oh, sweetie, it's perfect. Thank you. You're welcome.
I'm glad you love it. Thank you, thank you.
Merry Christmas, Dad.
We miss you.
Cut.
What's it feel like to see him?
Mm-hmm.
I get it. I know exactly what you're feeling. Mm-hmm.
And good luck in being sympathetic.
All right, Marcus and Ellen, we are ready for you.
I'm gonna act like I'm talking to you this entire time. It'll help me out.
Oh, man, the fact that my mom gets to watch me act in this scene is really
surreal. Take a seat right here.
Hi, Marcus.
Hello. Being able to act in front of her on an actual set is just an amazing gift
that I can give to her. Well, Marcus, we can't wait to see you shine. Oh, yes.
But on the other hand, it brings a little bit of anxiety because I don't
want to mess up while she's watching.
If I can make my mom proud, then...
That's all I need in life.
I think it's time to shoot, shall we?
Let's do it.
Places, everybody.
Stand by for cue, Marcus.
Okay. We're so glad that you're here.
I know these chairs.
I'm telling you, why can't we get a recliner on set?
I mean, they give us these director's chairs. I want a recliner. I just don't
want to fall over in the chair.
You are not going to fall over.
Anyway, I'm so glad to meet you.
Yeah, you too.
Pictures up.
Here we go. Three, two, one, and action.
Knock, knock.
Anyone home?
Oh, my goodness.
I'm here.
I don't believe it.
You're here.
Merry Christmas, Mom.
Oh.
But you said that you weren't going to be able to make any time.
Yeah, well, I had to rearrange a few things.
I just hated the fact of you being home alone this year. I had to come home.
Don't be silly.
I'm not alone.
As a matter of fact, my calendar is packed.
I've got your Aunt Carol coming by tomorrow.
And then the girls brunch is on Tuesday. And then on Friday I have a what?
Mom.
You know it's okay.
If you're not okay.
Is it that obvious?
I thought I was doing so well.
You can bake and decorate the house and act like everything is normal, but
you, you... I feel like I'm losing it a little bit. I'm really
having to try to almost push myself to stay in the scene instead of just being
in the scene.
Coming up... Merry Christmas, my love.
One of you will be going home tonight.
You can bake and decorate the house and act like everything is normal.
But you being without your husband
for 40 years is going to be hard.
And it's Christmas.
Well, that just makes it want to break your heart.
Wow. Truth is, I don't really know who I am without your father.
I know, Mom.
I honestly don't know who I am without him either.
But I do know.
He said he loved presents.
And he wouldn't want to see us cry on Christmas Eve.
Here. I got you something.
I know it's a little big.
Uh-oh. He's not supposed to pick up the box.
I'll keep it right here, just for safety.
Yes.
You always called him your North Star.
It seemed fitting.
It's perfect, sweetie.
Merry Christmas, Dad.
Wherever you are.
Cut. Good job. You're amazing.
You're so good. You're amazing.
Wow.
Excellent. Thank you.
I'm feeling a little scared.
I felt like there were points in time when I had to say certain lines or react
in certain ways.
It just, it wasn't coming out the way I wanted it to.
Have fun.
Yeah. Be genuine.
Connect.
Look at her eyes like you look at my eyes.
She'll melt.
It'll be fabulous.
Thanks. Appreciate you. All right, Russell and Lisa, we are ready for you.
What a privilege it is to have this opportunity to go and do this scene with
Sharon Lawrence.
Obviously now being really touched that my mom was here and being able to have
that interaction with her, I think that's going to really play into this
scene. What a beautiful scene. Isn't it beautiful?
Don't you feel like we're already in it? I know.
I'm ready.
He's a popcorn.
Lisa and I, we like our cucumber water.
Here we go.
Action.
Knock, knock.
Anybody home?
Oh, my goodness.
I don't believe it. You're here?
I'm here.
Merry Christmas, Mom.
But you said that you weren't going to make it in time.
I rearranged some stuff.
I hated the idea of you being alone this year. I had to come home.
I am not alone.
As a matter of fact, my social calendar's packed.
Mom. Aunt Mary, she's coming by tomorrow.
And Friday, I have something even more... Mom.
What? You know... It's okay if you're not
okay.
Is it that obvious?
You can decorate.
Or bake like everything's normal.
But the first of anything without your husband of 40 years.
It's gonna be hard.
The first Christmas?
Well, that's enough to break your heart.
I don't really know who I am without your dad.
I know, Mom.
I don't know if I know who I am without him either.
But I do know this.
He loved presents.
Yes. And he'd hate to see us cry on Christmas Eve.
Here.
Okay.
You always called him your North Star, so it seemed fitting.
Oh, sweetie.
It's perfect.
Merry Christmas, Dad.
Wherever you are.
And cut.
So good.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
It was nice having my mom here and being recharged.
Here they are.
She sees the full scope of me from the beginning to the end, and I hope I made
her proud.
How did Rustin do?
He was beyond... all my expectations, and I have high expectations.
I just feel like there's been a lot of work. There's been a lot of growth.
Thanks, Mom. Yes, yes, and I feel privileged to have been able to watch it
like when it was birthed right there on television.
Yeah, for sure.
I'm just really, oh, thanks, Mom.
Leave it to mom. Yeah, I know, right? It's great.
Another on-set assistant.
That would be me.
This has been my favorite memory of this entire experience, hands down.
Right, well, mom, mom, madre, mom.
I think it's time for us to get ready for this elimination.
Yeah. Time to say goodbye.
You know, it's always hard to say goodbye to my mom, but wherever I go,
I'll always have my family at home.
you know and There's nothing better than that bring it in group hug guys
And I just want to say ladies.
Thank you so much for raising such angels Wow
Sharon getting to watch you play
the mother to my four boys Was absolutely beautiful, but also made me
jealous because I wanted to be in their shoes doing a scene with my mom because
it's so wonderful.
How did it feel for you?
It was such a unique experience.
Every single actor, I felt their heart. I felt the tenderness,
the honesty that you were getting from each of them was very real and
potent. I saw the emotion come out in so many different places that I wasn't
expecting in each of our contestants' takes.
Let's start with Marcus.
First thoughts.
so lovely and warm, and there's a fragility to him.
But when he picked up the box to hand to me, what he didn't really know or keep
in mind was that that had to be where it was for the reveal and for the cameras.
I felt him trying to find a way back to that tenderness that we had. I maybe
wanted him to go...
a little more emotional at times. I agree, because that was what kind of
this whole test was today.
Okay, let's talk about Craig.
I think he's got that comedic ability and that instinct and a timing that you
cannot teach.
He went a little tougher on the mom. The girl's annual holiday brunch. Mom!
To play opposite that was interesting thing for me to feel and observe and
realize that his energy could...
get the best of him we saw real tears he was of all four of them i think the most
raw when it came to his emotion then let's talk about rustin very skilled and
emotionally i think we dropped in in a real way i'm not surprised i want to
be surprised yeah i want to be surprised more with rustin and i do think with
rustin there were little bits that kind of felt disconnected but overall he did
a great job let's talk about our sweet angel
On camera, that face is just, it comes right through the screen, that smile.
And he's very physical.
So the end of the scene was so good. He hugged you like four times. It all was
warranted. Right. He's not afraid to be vulnerable.
And I think for him, having his mom here really helped him get there.
Well, ladies, we have a decision to make. I do. It is splitting hairs,
splitting frames.
But unfortunately, one of our guys has to go home.
Three of us will go to the finale.
I want to be here. This is what I want. This is what I came to do here.
I want to win.
Hello, gentlemen.
Four of you remain, but in the end, only one of you will walk out of here with a
leading role in a Hallmark holiday movie and be crowned Mr.
Christmas.
In today's Star Quality Challenge, you had to act in an emotional scene between
a son and his mom.
We are truly at a point right now where it's splitting hairs, frames, it's all
of these things. Sharon, what was it like working with our guys? What you all
did was really difficult, and I respect what you've had to do. It
speaks a lot to the trust that you developed in your instrument.
We have a promising future in your hands.
As you know, only one of you will be tonight's shining star.
And that person tapped into his emotion at all the right places.
He blew us away with his authenticity and nailed the scene from top to bottom.
The winner of the Star Quality Challenge and tonight's Shining Star is...
Angel. Oh,
buddy.
Oh, good job, man.
My first star quality challenge win.
Ooh, what a relief.
It was such a pleasure meeting you and talking to you, and then I felt your
energy. That was the connection I needed.
Well done. Thank you.
Not only are you today's shining star, you are the first guy going to the
finale. Congratulations.
Now, the hard part.
There are three of you that remain, but there are only two spots available in
the finale.
Rustin, you clearly know who Rustin is, and that's why you act with consistency.
The groundedness with your co-star was clear and beautifully acted.
And because of that, Rustin, you're the second person headed into the finale of
Finding Mr. Christmas.
Good job.
Congrats, man. Congrats.
Oh, yes!
I've worked so, so, so, so, so hard for this. I'm so excited.
Here we go.
Marcus and Craig.
Would you please step forward? Hey, good luck, man. Good luck, dude.
Craig, tonight the scene called for motions, and you came in a little hot at
the top.
If you're going to take a risk, make sure it can land.
Marcus, when you're in the pocket, you're a movie star times a billion.
But you struggle with consistency.
I'm just hoping there's a slither of hope that I brought enough to get me
into the finale.
I'm shaking.
I'm nervous. I'm breathing heavy. My heart's going.
Unfortunately, Marcus, it's time to
take your stocking down. You're going home for the holidays.
Good job. Good job. Oh, man, we're going to miss you. Keep going.
Don't give up.
Marcus, when you started in this competition,
You seemed quiet and cautious, but then something clicked.
You started letting us know who you were, and it was amazing.
Suddenly, that beautiful smile you always flash got even brighter.
Thank you. And meeting your mom today, we now know where you get it from.
I'm thanking both of you for being great mentors and teachers and guiding us in
the right direction.
Marcus, thank you so much, and we can't wait.
to see what you do next.
Thank you. Thank you. Marcus, we love you, man. Thank you. We love you,
brother. Marcus, Marcus.
It's a heartbreak, you know? We put so much work into every challenge, but it's
definitely not at a loss.
I'm extremely proud of what I've been able to do here.
I've learned so much about myself.
I've learned to just trust in myself more and trust in my instincts
and... The more I can trust in those, the more I can do anything.
Guys, this is it. Everything you've worked for and you've learned up to this
point has prepared you for this finale.
We'll see you next time where we crown the next Mr.
Christmas. This is out of this world. There's no room for mistakes.
