[NARRATOR] Last time on Dragon Ball Z,

ready to do their part to stop Majin Buu,

Trunks and Goten charged up their Super Saiyan powers

for their first lesson in the fusion technique.

[GOKU] Good, now raise it to your maximums.

[NARRATOR] Elsewhere, the wizard Babidi managed to uncover

some valuable information,

and paused his spree of destruction

just long enough to make a very important announcement.

[BABIDI using ESP] Attention, Earthlings! Attention!

So sorry to bother you once again.

Trunks, I am very eager to meet you.

And I suppose that if I can't get you to come to me,

then I'll just have to come to where you live.

[BABIDI laughs]

[BABIDI] It's a place called Capsule Corporation

and it's located in West City.

I hope that you're there to greet me when I arrive,

because if you're not,

then your family and friends will have to pay the price.

Goku, if we let Majin Buu get to West City and destroy it

then he'll destroy the Dragon Radar!

[NARRATOR] In light of this new crisis,

Goku sent Trunks on a mission to find the Dragon Radar.

Meanwhile, he would try to slow down

Babidi and Buu by himself!

[GOKU] Yeah, but you let me worry about them.

[NARRATOR] Majin Buu was more than pleased by Goku's arrival,

eager to face a new and interesting challenge.

And that's exactly what Goku was prepared to give him!

[NARRATOR] Unless Goku can buy Trunks enough time

to retrieve the Dragon Radar,

all hope of repairing Majin Buu's damage

to the Earth will be lost!

But in order to keep this bizarre monster occupied,

Goku may need to use to some unconventional tactics!

[GOKU] I'm guessing an ascended Saiyan

isn't much of a challenge for you.

So how about I take it up to the next level?

As interested as I am to see this trick of yours,

time is short.

The good people of West City are expecting us.

Maybe next time.

Majin Buu! Hurry up and do something nasty to him.

[thinking] From the way he acts,

If he doesn't stop this

[BUU] Oooh! Ooh-oooh-oooooh!

[gasps]

I'm sorry that took so much longer than the others.

But I haven't had much occasion to practice this one.

This is what I call a "Super Saiyan 3."

[whimpers]

[BUU] Ooooh!

There's a Super Saiyan 3 now?

Do you feel that energy?

If I didn't know better, I'd say that was my dad!

But that's... crazy.

I have no idea how, but it's definitely your father.

Saiyan powers are not strong enough to be felt this far away.

It's true that Goku has proven

to be stronger than any of us imagined.

But the chances he'll be able to stop Majin Buu

by himself are still slim.

Well, if Goku can't do it, is there anyone who can?

Hey, somebody's fighting with Majin Buu!

I don't know, but he's my new best friend!

[BUU grunting]

[thinking] He's completely unharmed.

[BUU yells]

[thinking] That's one of Vegeta's attacks!

[growls]

[thinking] Amazing. He can't have seen it more than once.

But he's already mastered one of Vegeta's best moves...

[BABIDI] I've had enough of watching you show off, Buu!

Finish the job!

[GOKU grunts]

[laughs]

Goku, that's enough! You're using too much power.

Please, please stop it!

While you still have some time left. The Earth needs you.

You still have to teach the boys the fusion technique!

[BUU grunts]

[BOTH grunting]

[yelling]

Buu have fun playing with you. You strong.

[BUU growls]

[BABIDI] Hurry! Or do you want me to seal you up again?

[thinking] Trunks hasn't left Capsule Corp yet.

[NARRATOR] Once again, Goku has defied the impossible

by transforming himself into a Super Saiyan 3!

[BUU screams]

[NARRATOR] But how long can these awesome new powers

keep Majin Buu at bay?

[TRUNKS] Where is it? Where is it? Where is it?

Where is it?!

[NARRATOR] Can Goku win Trunks the time he needs

to find the Dragon Radar and escape from West City?

[BUU laughs]

[NARRATOR] Or will he somehow find a way to do

what can't be done and finish off Majin Buu by himself?
