from the depths 30 stories high free fire is
Dr. Braslow, more bad news.
New volcanoes have been reported in Chile and Alaska.
And Mount Fuji has erupted in Japan.
It looks like the outbreak is worldwide.
The map shows old volcanoes waking up and new ones forming everywhere.
The Pacific Ocean looks like a ring of fire.
It is, but we don't know what's causing it or where it'll strike next.
The seismograph.
An earthquake, right here.
Worse than that, Vance. The volcano that built this island, it's erupting.
We've got to find out what's causing these volcanoes.
Until we do, no city on the Pacific Ocean will be safe.
Godzuki, where are you, Bella?
Cartoon Network's taking a break. We gotta find him. Search around your
house. Maybe he's out back or something.
Zilla has returned, Cartoon Network, and he doesn't look happy.
Okay, Godzuki, ready?
Rock won't mind if we borrow this for a while.
Go fetch, boy!
Zuki? How are the sonar readings, Brock?
Pretty routine, Captain Majors.
Ouch! What in the world?
We must be passing over some pretty weird sea bottom.
Listen to this.
Maybe it's some kind of sea creature.
That doesn't sound like any fish I've ever heard. Try the underwater camera,
Brock.
That's no fish.
It's got Zuki.
And he's got my wrench.
You know you'll get it back, Clark.
I just wish I was as sure that we'll find the cause of those volcanic
eruptions. I've plotted the center of all the activity. A stretch of open
water in the middle of the ocean.
It's more than that, Carl. It's the place where the Pacific crustal plate
runs into the Asian landmass.
What could be there?
Hard to say. We might even find the Jupiter rocket that went down in that
area last summer.
We'll know soon enough.
Anything on the sonar, Brock?
Yes, Dr. Darien. And this time it isn't Godzuki.
Hey, what's going on?
It looks like a huge undersea quake. And we're sitting right on top of it.
Quake is causing a tsunami.
These waves will swamp the calico.
We need Godzilla.
And just in time, look at the size of that wave.
Godzilla will save us!
Godzilla broke the tidal wave.
Dr. Darien, here comes the biggest quake yet.
A new undersea volcano.
What? The volcano.
The whole ocean floor is cracking open.
Whatever's causing those volcanoes is down there under that fault line.
The sea's calming down.
Now's our chance to find out what's going on under the ocean floor.
I'll ready the mini-sub. Pete, you and Gatsuki can give me a hand.
All right!
What are we looking for, Dr. Darian? That fault line we saw before.
And I think this is it.
But it's closed up again.
Any luck down there, Quinn?
The volcano!
Yes, Carl. I think we just found the way in.
Through the mouth of the volcano?
It's too risky.
But the quakes have stopped, and it looks like the only way in.
All right, but be careful.
Dr. Darien, an aftershock!
It sounds like another eruption.
And it's sealing us in.
This isn't just another quake. It's a full-scale eruption.
Ed, Quinn, and Brock are trapped down there. We're marooned up here.
Well, Brock, I guess we walk from here.
But where?
All that water went somewhere.
Our only option is to follow it.
Well, it looks like we have a choice after all.
Left or right?
Left.
I'd like to go after them, but that way's closed now.
Isn't there some other way in? I don't think so, Pete.
Unless... The side vent!
Maybe it's cooled off enough. Let's give it a try.
Watch your step.
This stuff is treacherous.
Be careful, Gatsuki. This obsidian can be slippery.
And let's get going.
Carefully.
Captain Majors! The mini-sub!
But they're gone!
They must have gone on ahead.
But at least we know we're on the track.
Yes, but which track?
Let's try that way.
Listen. Come on!
It's Pete!
They're behind us. Let's go back. Pete, where are you? Captain Majors! Up ahead.
They're... What is
it? I don't know, but I don't think this is the time to find out.
Come on.
It's still behind us! There's light up ahead.
Wow! Look where it's coming from!
A lava spring.
And three more creatures.
Don't look now, but I think they heard it too.
There's no sign of them. Do you think we took the wrong turn somewhere?
Heath, where are you? Got the measures!
It's coming from up there. ahead come on this passage is awfully steep seems to
be taking us under the river these
formations
must come from the minerals dissolved in the underground river
Too fast, Pete.
Gotta get out of here.
But there's no other way out.
Godzuki, try to break through.
Nice try, Godzuki.
But we need reinforcements, like Godzilla.
They see us. And they mean business.
So does he.
We're surrounded.
spent so much time in the water. Godzilla sure is stinky smelling.
Whoa, be glad Cartoon Network isn't in Smell-O-Rama.
At the rate these crystals are growing, pretty soon there won't be any room in
here for us. Right, Pete.
That doesn't look like Godzilla can help.
Guess we're on our own.
Then we'd better do something.
Crystals? Pete, your hand is smaller than mine. See if you can reach the
signaler. But if Godzilla can't come, what good is it? The high frequency tone
itself might do the job.
Hurry!
Can White reach it? You've got to, Pete!
Got it!
Quickly, Pete!
I'm glad that's over.
Look!
That must be where the voices came from. It should lead us to Quinn and Brock.
before they get any closer.
Too late!
Quinn! Frank!
Up here!
They can't follow you!
But we've got to get past them first.
One down, one to go.
Yes, but this one is a walking flamethrower.
Maybe not. Look.
What happens if the things fire?
Maybe they have to recharge between blasts. Maybe this one is already out of
gas. Right.
I hope.
We were lucky. Come on.
Nice flying, Gatsuki!
What do we do now?
We can't go back there.
We can take our chances in the Crystal Cavern. Or we could try that. That must
be the missing Jupiter probe rocket they told us about at the observatory in
Honolulu. If we could reach it, we might be able to escape from here.
Then let's take a look. This could be important.
The rocket's just ahead.
And so's the lava pool.
We might get across.
That bridge will hold us. I'll go first to test it.
It's okay. Come on across.
Sure, I'm okay.
But what about them?
We're leaving them behind unless they can swim.
They've got a long walk around that lava pool.
Let's make the most of it.
Come on, Katsuki!
Well,
Quinn, there's your rocket. What do you think?
It looks like an old test model from the 60s.
But how'd it get down here, Aunt Quinn?
Its guidance system must have malfunctioned, Pete. And its solid fuel
engines kept going until it wedged here. Do those walls look funny to anyone
else? It's like they're two different kinds of rock.
Carl, they are different.
This is where the crustal plates come together.
Another aftershock! But nothing moved.
maybe nothing can move because the rocket is wedged in between the two
plates but the pressure would be tremendous enough to cause volcanoes all
around the pacific now we understand the problem but what's the solution
start the engines while you work on the guidance system we'll stop the volcanoes
while we ride back to the surface just one thing
what are we gonna do about that
gotta lure it out of there everybody get back
you don't have to tell me twice
we'll keep it busy you get inside and try to start the rocket
I hope these things come with instructions.
This is gonna be some job.
Wow! It's Godzilla!
What's he doing down here?
I don't know, Brock, but he's just in time to save our lives.
cone to blast to the surface.
Right.
We've separated.
It feels like we're floating.
Hooray! We did it!
There's the calico. I think we can wade ashore from here.
what's happening.
It looks like another eruption.
Land
ho!
You mean Hawaii ho.
Whatever it's called, there's not a volcano in sight.
