[THE HARDSHIPS OF INTROVERTS] You know when you talk,
and they go, "Quiet, Soo-bin's talking."
That should be banned by law.
[YES!] [INTROVERT ATTENTION BAN]
[ANOTHER CASE] When I'm preparing for an emotional scene
and they go, "Shh! He's getting into character!"
"Tell us when you're ready. Everyone, be quiet."
[HERE FOR PROMO]
One of today's guests has been here when I wasn't here.
[SICK LEAVE] You were sick
-and couldn't make it -Right.
when Nam-gil and Young-kwang were here.
How did it go?
Well, it was a lot of fun.
I won't name names, but one of them was a talker,
and one of them wasn't.
[CHATTY] [SILENT] How was it?
[CHAT TEMPERATURE SWING] I caught a cold.
One was cold, and one was hot. So I caught a cold.
-But Young-kwang's bringing someone else. -A new friend.
[NICE TO MEET YOU] -A new friend is coming. -Yes.
They should be here by now.
[NEW FRIEND, LONG FRIEND] [BOING] Come in, guys.
[HESITANT] Hi, guys!
[CHAE SOO-BIN] [BACKS AWAY] Hey, friends!
Come in. We film all the way here.
[EMOTIONAL DISTANCE] She looks scared. Come on in.
[KIM YOUNG-KWANG] Take it slow.
You can sit here, Soo-bin.
Our guests usually wait outside for a bit,
-but I didn't know you were there. -Right?
[WE DIDN'T KNOW EITHER] -I was surprised. -How long have you been waiting?
-About an hour. -An hour?
[THAT'S LONG] [HEHE] We're starting with a joke.
Before we get into it,
-thanks for the shirts, Young-kwang. -Yes.
[IT'S NOTHING] With your cats on them.
[YOUNG-KWANG GAVE THEM GIFTS BEFORE] I wanted to give you shirts I had made.
-Your cats, Moon and Baek. -That's right.
Thank you, I appreciate it.
[THANKS FOR THE ADORABLE GIFT] -Thank you. -Thanks, Young-kwang. I appreciate it.
-They have my cats printed on them. -Right.
-When we were filming… Right? -Right.
He had a bunch of them made and gave them to everyone on the crew.
We have something in common. We all have pets.
[THEY ALL SERVE THEIR PETS]
-Young-kwang has cats, and Soo-bin… -I have one cat and one dog.
-I know they have unique names. -They're Haku and Mata.
I was thinking about what to name them, and I'm a fan of Spirited Away.
-There's a character named Haku. -Yes.
-He's so cool. -The one with the bob.
So I got Haku from that.
Then the next year,
I was volunteering with dogs,
-and adopted a Jindo mix from the shelter. -Right.
Because of "Hakuna Matata,"
I thought Haku and Mata would go well.
[TAKE CARE HAKU, MATA] -Haku and Mata. -Yes.
Young-kwang, your day starts with Moon and Baek.
[190 CM CAN OPENER] With opening cans?
Yes, when I'm in my room in the morning,
they scratch the door so I'll feed them.
[RELATABLE] Oh, I know.
I have to come out and open their cans before I can start my day.
I heard that Baek
[GROWTH SPURT] is growing horizontally.
Baek is a Maine Coon.
If you look them up, they look like wild tigers.
But Baek stopped growing this way and started growing this way.
I see.
[HUNGRY] -That cat likes to eat. -A hungry cat.
You can't not give your cat snacks.
[CAN'T STARVE MY BABY] Of course not.
That's how
[DON'T LISTEN GUYS, YOU'RE ADORABLE] they both grew horizontally.
They've become chubby cats.
[CHUNKY CATS SAVE LIVES!] Chunky cats are cute.
I brought the applications
you filled out to join our club.
Soo-bin's keyword is "lovely sloth."
-A sloth? Is it your nickname? -Oh.
[CHILL] They say I look like one.
[I SEE IT] Really?
[THAT'S FUNNY] You do? Who told you that?
People used to say that when I first debuted.
-The sloth from Zootopia. -Oh, Flash!
[THAT'S PRETTY ACCURATE] They said I looked like him.
Young-kwang's nicknames are anything with "Young-kwang."
I can think of a couple, but give us some examples.
[GLORY CHURCH] -It means glory, so "Church." -Right.
[YEONGGWANG GULBI] -Gulbi from Yeonggwang. -Yes.
-Gulbi. -People
-can't choose one. -Gulbi is funny.
[YEONGGWANG GULBI IS GOOD] That one's tasty.
-So… -"Young-kwang Gulbi"!
[HAHA] There's a lot…
[WHY IS HE LAUGHING SO MUCH?]
[IMPRESSED] It can get funny.
[HE'S USED TO IT] "Young-kwang Gulbi" is funny.
Did you have a nickname, Soo-bin?
-My real name is Bae Soo-bin. -Right.
[CABBAGE] So "Baechoo."
[ALSO FUNNY]
I was skinny, so there were "mosquito" or "inchworm."
"Inchworm"?
[SCIENCE PRODIGIES] They must've been smart kids.
[SIMPLE AND FRIENDLY NICKNAMES] I've heard of "water strider."
For personality, you put "introvert" and "INFP."
When INFPs meet each other,
-we go, "Hi." -We feel glad.
-We say hi like that. -There's a connection.
-We don't go, "What's up?" -I see.
[THE INFP CONNECTION] We tend to do that.
"When I'm asked to say something at a table read or party,
I scream internally."
-Yes. -I can totally relate.
-It's too much. -Yeah.
The first table read is when we meet for the first time.
[HYPER] I can't go, "Hey, guys! I'm…"
I have a hard time being like that.
[THE BEST AN INFP CAN DO] I just go, "Hello, nice to meet you."
-You were nervous at your on-stage debut. -Yes, wow.
I was in my first play when I was 20 years old.
A colleague told me,
-"The debut performance is the best." -Okay.
[INNOCENT SOO-BIN] I believed him and invited everyone.
-No! -It was my first performance ever.
When I went on stage, my legs were literally trembling.
When it was over, I was not happy with my performance.
So I cried,
[LEARNED THROUGH TEARS AND REGRET] blaming him.
Did that ever happen again?
I'm always nervous when I'm on stage or in front of a crowd,
-but not as shockingly much as that time. -I see.
You know when you talk,
and they go, "Quiet, Soo-bin's talking."
That should be banned by law.
[YES!] [INTROVERT ATTENTION BAN]
[ANOTHER CASE] When I'm preparing for an emotional scene
and they go, "Shh! He's getting into character!"
"Tell us when you're ready. Everyone, be quiet."
[A CRUEL WORLD FOR INTROVERTS]
[CAN'T FOCUS] -How could I get into character? -Right.
Soo-bin, your hobbies are yoga, ballet, and lying down.
And your interests are lying down. You like lying down.
-I want to stay lying down forever. -Same.
On my days off, that's all I ever do.
-But you have to get up to eat. -Even when I eat.
When I'm home, I don't eat properly.
I love eating cereal.
I pour cereal and milk into a bowl, go to my room, lie in bed,
and eat like this while watching TV.
-You even eat lying down. -Yes.
-And if I want a snack… -Yes.
[JUST LIKE A SLOTH] I lie like this and snack.
-I collect trash and throw it all at once. -When you get up.
[ALSO A HOMEBODY] I also love lying down.
But after a while, my neck gets stiff. It's also bad for your posture.
That's why my posture is bad.
[SPINE SURGERY IS EXPENSIVE] I can kind of see that.
I never said it because it's ridiculous,
but I wish we measured our height lying down.
[CHUNKY CATS WOULD BE INTERESTED]
I'm 164 cm like this,
[SO MUCH POTENTIAL] but what if we measured like this?
[THAT'S FUNNY] -I could be tall. -That's right.
But yoga and ballet are physical activities.
Well, I do them to survive.
[A MATTER OF SURVIVAL] It's for your health.
[HOMEBODIES CAN RELATE] I get everything done once I'm out.
Not every day, but only when you go out?
I decide to go out one day and get everything done.
Then I come back and lie down.
I thought it was interesting
[BOTH HOMEBODIES] that he and I both love being home.
-Right? -But,
-he never lies down before bedtime. -Then what do you do?
[A BUSY HOMEBODY] He keeps doing stuff. He has a lot to do.
I'm not lying down. I might be sitting.
She isn't just lying down at home. Even on set
[YOU KNOW ME TOO WELL] when we're on standby, she's lying down.
She's lying somewhere on a couch.
[SHE'S A COUCH SLOTH ANYWHERE]
Young-kwang, your hobby is MMA? Nathan also does that.
-You do MMA? -Yes, I recently started.
-How long have you been doing it? -Around three months.
Why did you decide to do it? Do you like watching the fights?
I do, and I did Muay Thai when I was in high school.
-I see. -And then,
I had to work out for a project I was working on,
so I thought it was a good opportunity to try out something I was interested in.
This is my biggest interest these days.
[COMBAT POWER METER] Wondering who Nathan could beat.
[WHAT?] I think about that.
He's physically gifted. His shoe size is 300 mm.
[SHOCKED] Really?
When you have long arms and big hands--
-He has a long reach. -They're long.
-I know. So are yours. -Yes.
Your arms and legs both.
So once I hold Byung-jae, he can never reach me.
[VICIOUS] They used to call me "T-Rex."
[BE CAREFUL NOT TO GO EXTINCT] -I don't like to fight. -Something like that.
Interests, "moderate drinking." You like drinking.
I always want to drink. I don't know how people hold back.
I also like to drink.
These days, I'm always looking at the white of people's eyes.
Nathan's and Soo-bin's are very clean and white.
[FEELING CALLED OUT] You can always tell
how much a person drinks
-by looking there. -Really?
-Are you trying to drink less? -No, I drank yesterday.
[LET'S SEE YOUR EYES]
-Do you like to drink, Soo-bin? -My body refuses alcohol.
-You can't drink at all? -I can, but I turn red right away.
-My whole body turns red. -I see.
But I saw this on Instagram recently.
The alcohol-intolerance gene
-is stronger. -It's dominant.
[LET'S DRINK LESS] I liked it.
Nathan doesn't drink that much either.
Young-kwang, you want to watch all six Alien movies with us?
That'll take so long.
Do you like that series?
I've been watching them since I was a kid.
-It's fun to rewatch movies, you know? -Right.
I had fun rewatching the Alien movies.
It's an impressive franchise,
but I didn't grow up watching them,
[A VAST WORLD] so I can't quite get into them. There are so many.
[A PREQUEL TO ALIEN] You should start with the relatively recent Prometheus.
Watching that before watching the old ones
will make the whole thing easier.
This matches what you talked about last time. You like outer space.
[SHY] What was it, "the Prison Planet Theory"?
That's right.
[A SMALL DREAM] I'd love to go to space if I get the chance.
Really?
Have you guys ever heard of this theory?
[NO IDEA] -No. -Would you like to explain?
[CAREFUL START] It's a conspiracy theory.
It's just for fun.
[EXCITED] -All right. -Yes. So…
It says that planet Earth is filled
with people who were just spirits
but got stuck in human bodies as a punishment.
Us humans on planet Earth are stuck here as a punishment.
But an alien appeared and told someone this.
[THEN WHAT HAPPENED?] Wow.
[WEAK ENDING] That's all.
Sometimes, when you see these on Shorts, you start to think they're convincing.
-Like The Matrix. -Yes.
[CONSISTENT] So you're still on this.
It has the most solid storyline of all the conspiracy theories I know.
If you go on YouTube, there's a two-hour video about it.
[CATCHING UP TO THE ALIEN SERIES] It's possible.
[SERIOUS] It's very interesting. I was like, "Wow."
[LET'S ALL WATCH IT NEXT TIME] "Is this real?"
Are you interested in these, Soo-bin?
I don't know about conspiracy theories, but I like space stuff.
[FAMOUS SLEEP AID] It helps me sleep.
-What's on your algorithm? -Incidents and accidents.
-Those are popular. -Yes.
I like them more than space stuff.
Those are good for sleeping. Not recent ones,
but old, foreign ones that are dubbed in Korean.
[RIGHT] -Yes. -What's that?
[JAMES] "James lives in New York."
[FAMILIAR]
-They're really good for sleeping. -Are they?
[THANKS FOR THE RECOMMENDATION] I liked the old, dubbed ones.
You recently enjoyed watching Killing Eve on Netflix.
[A THRILLER SERIES] -You like Killing Eve? -I do.
The characters are very unique.
I really enjoyed it.
-What genres do you like? -I'm not really picky about genres.
[THOUGHT OF SOMETHING] I like to watch anything.
-Why did you laugh? -When we started filming,
-she asked if I watched something. -What was it again?
It was a documentary about a pride of lions.
[REMEMBERED]
-There's this one strong lion. -Okay.
It's a brutal story about how he rules over a region.
-A documentary? -Yes.
[A COOL DOCUMENTARY] -It's not brutal. It's cool. -Well…
What's it called?
[MAPOGO LION COALITION] It's a lion documentary
Male lions usually
[LIONS LIVE IN PRIDES] travel in prides.
[IMPRESSIVE] And these brothers dominated the area.
[INTRIGUING] -Two brother lions? -Brothers?
-No, five. -Five brothers.
There's one with a bald patch.
-He's called Mr. T. -Mr. T? They have names?
They all have names. For example, Pretty Boy.
[A VERY BRAVE NAME] -Right. -I see.
-But Mr. T is ferocious. -Okay.
He kills everyone.
The leader controls the pride, but Mr. T doesn't listen.
Anyway, it's interesting.
-There's a whole story to it. -There is.
That's pretty hardcore.
Those are pretty interesting. The death of the lion.
[SOMBER] It's emotional.
He was the boss, then…
[DOCUMENTARY LOVERS] It's sad.
[FEEBLE] He's like this.
It hurts to see him like that in the end.
[CRYING] It's interesting.
What have you watched recently, Young-kwang?
Indiana Jones.
[AN ARCHAEOLOGIST'S ADVENTURE] -Indiana Jones? -Yes.
The explorer.
I remember from when I was a kid,
[FAMILIAR SOUNDTRACK] there was that song that goes, "dum-dum."
There was a thing called Saturday or Friday Classics.
-Weekend Classics. -Right.
It reminded me of that.
-The Holy Grail. -Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
It was exciting to watch
the treasure hunt story again after a long time.
If we dive into it a bit, I didn't see this as a kid,
[IT MUST BE IN A MUSEUM!] but he's a bad person. He steals.
He feels remorse later on
[YOU CAN'T DO THAT IN REAL LIFE] -in the movie. -Yes.
You both have impressive Netflix filmographies.
Should we take a look?
First, let's see Young-kwang's.
The first is Mission: Possible.
[A DIVERSE FILMOGRAPHY] Hello, Me!, On Your Wedding Day, Trigger. You visited us for that one.
Which one was memorable for you?
I'd have to say the most recent one is fresh in my memory.
[ACTION THRILLER SERIES] -The most recent? Trigger? -The one I talked about last time.
I thought this was interesting.
Sometimes I play a good guy, and sometimes a bad guy.
-But I played a bad guy in that one. -Right.
And people really liked me as a bad guy.
[VILLAINS ARE ATTRACTIVE] Right.
It weirdly suits you.
[A VERSATILE FACE] -Right. -It's your smile.
-There's a car chase scene. -In Trigger.
Did you actually drive the car?
It was mostly me. I went crazy.
We filmed it in a neighborhood awaiting demolition.
I had to drive violently, according to the script.
Nam-gil asked me beforehand, "Are you a good driver?"
I told him, "I don't really drive."
Then I started driving wild.
And while he was saying his lines, he slowly reached for the handle.
[LIFE-THREATENING]
It was necessary.
[AM I SHAKING?] -But it's out of character for him. -Right.
He's supposed to be tough.
[LEE DO IS OKAY BUT NAM-GIL ISN'T] But he reached for it.
Just like in the series we'll be discussing today,
[HELLO, ME!] [PINOCCHIO] you played a lot of chaebols.
-It suits you. -Yes.
But they were all different.
[SHY] How were they different?
-They are all chaebols. -Right.
-But some are mature, -I see.
-while some are still a bit childish. -Right.
Some have pain inside of them, while others don't.
[IN THE DETAILS] That's how they're different.
Let's take a look at Soo-bin's filmography.
[MANY LOVELY ONES] Sweet & Sour, The Fabulous, Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy…
Which one was memorable for you?
[A ROMANTIC FILM] -Sweet & Sour. -I see.
-Have you watched it, Nathan? -Not yet.
I think you'll really like it.
[ADDED TO HIS LIST] -You think so? -Yes.
Why was it memorable?
While we were filming,
we had deep discussions about it.
I have a group of really close friends.
When this was released, they came to my place
-and the four of us watched it together. -Right.
They roasted me really hard.
[HARD TO WATCH THEIR FRIEND DOING HER JOB] I get it.
I'm a nurse who kisses IV bags,
[HER FRIENDS WOULD'VE HATED THIS] saying, "Emergency prescription."
You know,
[BAECHOO!] like a little minx.
[WE CAN SEE ALL THE TEASING] Right.
-They were roasting me. -They couldn't stand it.
-Imagine you're in the hospital. -Okay.
And the nurse comes up to you
-and goes like, "Natey!" -Right.
I would confess my love as I leave.
[PRESCRIPTION SIDE EFFECT] -You would, right? -Yes.
I had my gallbladder removed.
If I had a nurse like that, I'd have them remove my appendix, too.
[FOR YOU, I'D GIVE EVERYTHING] -Ask for a liver checkup, and so on. -Right.
[ROMANTIC THRILLER SERIES] When the Phone Rings is also loved.
Your character had mutism.
She communicates in sign language because she can't talk.
And she pursues a career as a sign language interpreter.
I learned sign language for the first time because of this.
You did.
-And I had a lot of fun. -You had fun.
Because my character was an interpreter,
I had to be fluent.
So I tried to study a lot in advance.
-What is it? -Why?
-This isn't funny. Why are you laughing? -It's just that
-I can't focus. -Why not?
He's like, "Hmm."
[I WAS PAYING ATTENTION] -It's just my job! -It's our job!
-Mm-hmm. -It's just…
Byung-jae's like, "Ah."
But he's like, "Mm."
[WAS IT TOO MUCH?]
That's because Nathan is very interested in sign language.
[HMM] -Really? -I really am.
-If I had time, I'd definitely learn it. -Really?
Sign language isn't just about the hands. It's also about facial expressions.
That's right. Facial expressions are very important.
Even if I said the same thing, the expression would change the meaning.
[AN IMPORTANT PART OF SIGN LANGUAGE] You have to be expressive.
You were in a fake marriage in When the Phone Rings.
You wrote a lot of negative things in your diary.
Did you write them yourself?
Yes, but it was not to show someone.
When actors
[SELF-CONSCIOUS] first get the script,
[NOTICED] -we… -Come on.
I'm very self-conscious now.
[SORRY] It's like when you become conscious of your breathing.
[YOUNG-KWANG FEELS GUILTY] -Hey! -I'm too self-conscious.
I'll just say, "Yeah."
-What was I talking about? -Writing bad things in your diary.
I'd write about how Hee-joo would feel, just like writing in my own diary.
I'd just scribble things down.
In the beginning when she didn't know how Sa-eon felt,
she hated him, thinking he was bad.
So I'd write, "People treat dogs better than this."
When the kidnapper calls to threaten me,
he says to him, "I'll kill your wife."
[SPEAK NICER] And he responds, "Call me when you have the body."
That was very hurtful.
[A WAY TO GET INTO CHARACTER] So I wrote it down, but not to show anyone.
You said there were a lot of cringey lines in this series too.
It's based on a web novel,
[THEY WERE A LOT TO TAKE IN] so yes.
Do you have a hard time with that?
Not really, because in these series,
it's mostly the male characters that have those lines
[AM I AN ONION?] rather than the female characters.
Really? Could you give us an example?
In When the Phone Rings,
there's, "Tell me how to hate you." Something like that.
[UGH] Something you'd never say in real life.
It's usually the male characters who say those lines.
It must be hard for them.
Just hearing them is hard enough already.
Did you have a hard time with our series?
[COMPLICATED] Let's move on.
[IT'S HARD BEING THE PERFECT MALE LEAD]
Speaking of which,
you two got together for a romantic comedy this time.
Tell us about the series.
It's called Take Charge of My Heart.
I play
[HIS FATE] a third-generation chaebol heir
who had heart surgery as a kid
and is living with an artificial heart.
And he meets a woman who can charge it.
[THE WOMAN]
So he signs a three-month contract so that she can charge his heart.
It has all the keywords for this genre.
[ROMANTIC FANTASY KEYWORDS] -"Heart," "contract," "charge," and so on. -Right.
People have been waiting for you to do a rom-com.
[IRRESISTIBLE] I'm grateful.
I brought the teaser.
-Let's watch it. -The teaser's out.
Are lips supposed to feel like this?
I was dreaming about my own script?
She's a writer.
This scene to me
is horror.
Come back healthy.
[CHAEBOL] You must be the perfect leader.
[STRAIGHT TO KISSING?] -What? -In the first episode?
They have to be within ten meters of each other.
The closer they are, the faster it charges.
How can a human charge an artificial heart?
[CHARGE BY HUGGING?] -That's how you charge it? -What a pervert.
Did you say, "live together"?
Just for three months, until my surgery.
Please save me, Bo-bae.
When I'm with you,
my heart pounds so much that I'm scared I might die.
[ENDS WITH A CLASSIC MALE LEAD LINE] -That's good. -Wow.
Many people say, "I'd die without you." But in this case, that's true.
-He could actually die. -Right.
-He needs her to "charge" him. -It has a double meaning.
[SUCCESSION BATTLE] Does he compete to become the heir?
It's basically decided.
He lost his parents as a kid.
He just has his grandma, aunt, and uncle.
-But his grandma is strict. -I see.
So he has to take over.
That's when he gets into an accident.
Last time, Sung-min…
[SUNG-MIN AGAIN] That feels weird to say.
[LOVE YOU, SUNG-MIN] To call him by name.
-He's our friend. -But he's not here.
When he was here, he said this.
In Reborn Rich, he never opened the door himself.
Right.
[MOON AND BAEK'S LIFE] -They open it for me. -They wait on you.
[SO EASY] Not even car doors.
[JUST CHAEBOL THINGS] -They open them for you. -Then I get out.
When we were filming,
I asked if I could just do it myself, but they said I couldn't.
[THIS ISN'T YOUR FIRST TIME] -It wouldn't look right. -It needs to be done right.
What did you do to portray your character's electric powers?
We took extra care to make my hair look crazy.
Before the test shoot,
they brought in this strange silver rod.
My hair was supposed to stand up when I touched it.
So I did, but it didn't work.
Because my hair is long. It works better for men.
So we gave it a lot of thought.
The team thought a lot about how to use CGI for it.
Seeing the results, I think it turned out really cute.
You said the way Bo-bae wears gloves and covers herself looks cute.
She doesn't want to cause harm to others.
So when she's in crowded places,
she wears gloves and covers her head so she won't touch anyone.
I found it adorable.
Come to think of it, Soo-bin.
[WHAT?] Have you never killed anyone?
[SO CALM] No, I haven't.
-Not even once? -Unfortunately, no.
-How about Young-kwang? -He's killed many.
[CHILL] I've killed many.
[YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT ACTING, RIGHT?]
-I've never seen Soo-bin kill anyone. -Me neither.
This is off-topic, but you know what's crazy?
[ROLE-PLAYING DEDUCTION GAME] -Do you know murder mystery games? -Yeah.
I got really into it and played it a lot with a bunch of friends.
But I've never been the culprit.
-Killing is not your fate, -No.
[YOU CAN JUST BE A SLOTH] -even in a game. -It's crazy.
So you never accidentally shock anyone in this series?
-She's always, "I'm sorry, excuse me." -I see.
So what's the wattage exactly?
[A STREET FIGHTER CHARACTER] Is she like Blanka?
-Almost. -Almost?
It depends.
When I'm emotionally calm, it's only like a static shock.
Or maybe a bit stronger.
But when I'm sad or angry or get emotional,
I can cause sparks everywhere.
Emotions have an effect on it.
Is that why her name is Bo-bae?
[REALLY?] As in "power bank"?
-Really? -I'm not sure,
but she's saved as "Power bank" in Ho-rang's phone.
[HO-RANG'S POWER BANK] So it has a double meaning.
-That's funny. What is it? -You…
-On your phone, I'm "Rubber gloves." -That's right.
"Human rubber gloves."
So you're "Power bank" and "Rubber gloves."
People would think you're wholesalers.
[PRICELESS NICKNAMES]
So I get that she can charge the artificial heart,
but how does that work exactly?
How do you charge it?
Actually, there's no data on any of it.
Even the doctor is confused.
-It's unheard-of. -We had to figure it out ourselves.
But as physical intimacy increases, it charges faster.
[PHYSICAL INTIMACY?]
[INTRIGUING PREMISE] Something like that.
It goes up five percent when we're close,
and ten percent when we're hugging.
[STUNNED] More with mucosal contact.
-Mucosal contact? -That makes it fast-charge.
[WHY AM I BLUSHING?] -That's mentioned in the series. -Yes, it is.
-Mucosal contact? -It's just what the doctor said.
Holding hands is like the emergency power banks from the convenience store.
[PERFECT ANALOGY] That's right.
Hugging charges faster than that.
[HEHE] Like that.
[ARE YOU HAPPY, NATHAN?]
He loves it.
[ARE YOU READY TO CHARGE?] -I see. -All right.
Soo-bin, you were scared of how tall Young-kwang is?
[OH, RIGHT!]
-We like the height difference, though. -Yes.
I wasn't scared of how tall he is.
[HE IS 190 CM, SO IT'S UNDERSTANDABLE] Of course, it is pretty intimidating.
When I first met him, before we became close,
he was always like,
"I don't like this. I don't like that."
He was kind of a complainer.
[A TALL COMPLAINER] He was like this.
[HUFF AND PUFF]
[WHEN DID I DO THAT?] -He wouldn't do that. -So…
While looking amazing in a suit, he's huffing and puffing.
But the funny thing is that
while he was complaining, he still did everything.
[HE COMPLAINS, BUT DOES HIS JOB]
He was doing everything while complaining.
So once I figured out that's just how he is,
[A CUTE, TALL COMPLAINER] I found it cute.
Remember when you first saw Soo-bin?
-Of course. -How did you feel?
I thought she was so tiny, with such a petite face.
She's so small that she almost looks fragile.
I bet you think that about a lot of people.
-Don't you? -Everyone's small to him.
But some people are just especially small.
-Like Bo-young and Soo-bin. -Right.
They're like dolls.
[SHAKE SHAKE] I could go like this.
[ME TOO!] You know?
Some people are like that.
I always say to him,
[HUFF AND PUFF] "I'm not small!"
[A RED PANDA TRYING TO LOOK INTIMIDATING]
-What's this? -What's up with that?
[CHOOSE YOUR FIGHTER] It's like a game character selection page.
I'm 167 cm tall.
That's not small.
[MEASURE IT LYING DOWN!] Hey, calm down.
-But to him, everyone looks small. -Right.
You're 167 cm?
[TEARING UP] That's tall.
[CHEER UP, TINY GIANT YOO BYUNG-JAE!]
[THE WORLD'S TOO BIG FOR BYUNG-JAE] But I get it.
We can see the chemistry between you two
in the behind-the-scenes clip I brought.
-We saw this in the teaser. -Yes.
[BO-BAE AND HO-RANG TAKING A NIGHT WALK] Night walks are romantic.
There's this tension between the two people.
[BOLD]
[SHAKE SHAKE] It's what you described.
[A HUMAN ROLLER COASTER]
Just that, and my heart rate is too high.
That's not good for me.
[ANNOYED] -So annoying! -He loves himself too much.
What were you doing by the Han River?
Bo-bae has a bucket list.
[NEVER DATED] She's never dated anyone.
So she runs into problems while writing.
She wants to actually experience these things.
So in exchange for charging Ho-rang,
he does all the things on her bucket list with her.
-Because he's the only one who can. -Only he can.
So Complainer Kim's like,
-"What's so nice about this?" -Hey.
-Sure, my character complains. -Like that.
Shouldn't it be Complainer Baek?
[CORRECTION] Okay, Complainer Baek.
So they're on a walk when a bike goes by,
and he holds her like they do in a typical romantic scene.
But he only thinks of himself.
[THE CHARGING RATE FLUCTUATES] So she's like, "Forget about romance with this man."
Take Charge of My Heart is being released tomorrow, on October 9.
What should we look forward to in the series?
It feels like a shōjo manga.
It's very easy to watch. It's accessible.
It's cutesy and adorable.
At the same time, the romance is sincere.
So I hope people will enjoy it.
And Soo-bin?
First, the two characters, Ho-rang and Bo-bae,
have great chemistry.
They slowly get closer as they bicker.
-I think that would be fun to see. -I see.
Do you guys fight pretty hard?
Some couples start off like that.
-It's not that deep for us. -I see.
We're both just like, "What is this person?"
[THE PUNK FROM EARLIER?] So it's light.
I don't know why, but these days,
if I'm watching something and someone's actually evil,
-I stop watching because it's too much. -Me too.
Why am I like this?
[IS THIS A THERAPY SESSION?]
[THANKS FOR BEING BRAVE] Let's address that. Why?
[CRYING] I don't know. I used to enjoy it.
-Is it the weather? -But these days,
I'm already like, "Oh, no! What if that person is bad?"
[IT'S TEAR-JERKING] And I stop watching.
Keep it light, you know?
[SAD GUY IN A PURPLE HAT] You should watch this series, then.
[PRESCRIPTION: TAKE CHARGE OF MY HEART] This would be perfect. It's a rom-com.
Young-kwang seems to love Nathan.
[HIS PERSONAL COMEDIAN] -He's so funny. -Thanks.
We're the Netflix Viewing Club.
So I got my hands on Take Charge of My Heart.
-Let's watch it and talk about it. -All right.
[COMING OCTOBER 12] [PREVIEW] We have to film this. So we keep…
Until they say, "Okay."
I see.
I really want to go home.
I don't care about filming promos after this.
I want to be lying down.
