But I don't even look good yet,

and people are giving me
compliments already,

How terrible must I have looked

So even if this diet
is intense,

it's necessary,

I encouraged you
to go through so much.

I'm sorry.

to survive last year.

- I got mine ten years ago.

- We got money to keep
our little girl healthy,

but what about
the next little girl?

Our family has
so much gratitude

and we want to help
whoever comes next.

- Last year, I almost died.

Now I'm going to college.

We get to tell our stories
because we're survivors.

with squamous cell carcinoma,

I didn't want to admit
that it was happening.

to talk about it,

not even with
my closest friends.

But in New Amsterdam and all
the amazing people in it,

they--they helped me
through it.

So I'm a survivor.

And so many others aren't,
not yet.

So that's why
