I got the surgery I needed
to survive last year.

I got mine ten years ago.

We got money to keep
our little girl healthy,

but what about the next little girl?

Our family has so much gratitude

and we want to help whoever comes next.

Last year, I almost died.

Now I'm going to college.

because we're survivors.

Last year, I was diagnosed
with squamous cell carcinoma,

I didn't want to admit
that it was happening.

I didn't want to talk about it,

not even with my closest friends.

But in New Amsterdam and all
the amazing people in it,

they... they helped me through it.

So I'm a survivor.

And so many others aren't, not yet.
