Then we set sail...

and the next thing
we got back to familiar shores.

I buried those who had died
from their wounds at sea.

That night, one of the crews
found this overturned tree,

roots sticking up into the air,
like fingers grasping for the sky.

On those roots
were big fat golden rings.

It was like a gift from the gods.

We dug under the tree and
found an old burial site.

A mound full of treasure.

Joar told us..
to leave it all in the ground.

It was a foul thing to steal
from the dead.

But we did not listen.

We divided the treasure
amongst ourselves.

resist taking his share..
