- Tonight on "The Proof is Out There."
Is this footage of military helicopters chasing UFOs?
- Discussion ranged from the testing
of new military technology to theories about
reverse engineered alien spacecraft.
- [Tony] Did this century old photo
capture a real Bigfoot?
- People started connecting this photograph
as a possible South American candidate for Sasquatch.
- [Tony] Are these strange green lights
proof of underwater alien craft?
- [Tony] Why are so many twins
being born in one village?
- This is not only a mystery
to those who live in the village,
it's a mystery to scientists.
- [Tony] And did a mishap on the Space Shuttle
attract intelligent alien life forms?
- They look to be objects moving with purpose.
They look like they're there for a reason.
[dramatic music]
- [Tony] Around the globe are videos.
- [Videographer] Oh, there he goes.
- [Tony] Photos and sounds that defy explanation.
[static hiss]
- [Analyst] We don't know where they come from,
who made them, or how they operate.
- [Tony] What are they?
- [Analyst] Some sort of bizarre mutation.
- [Analyst] What's exciting is nobody really knows.
- Extraordinary claims need extraordinary proof.
- I'm Tony Harris,
and as a journalist for more than 30 years,
I've followed the facts where they take me.
Now I'm bringing that spirit of investigation
to the world's strangest sounds and images.
- [Videographer] It's coming towards us.
- [Tony] We'll analyze each one with top experts.
- It's a credible case. It's a credible video.
- [Tony] And pass a verdict on what it is.
- This video was clearly faked.
- The proof starts now.
[exciting music]
- Good evening, everyone,
and welcome to "The Proof Is Out There."
Military pilots fly
some of the most advanced aircraft known to man,
but does that include recovered otherworldly craft?
This first video seems to suggest precisely that.
It's February 2025 in Grand Bay, Alabama.
Michael Gibson is just getting home from work
when he and his wife hear a loud commotion outside.
- It was almost like real loud thunder.
The house was kind of shaking,
almost like it was under attack.
- [Tony] They run out to see what's going on
and record this.
It looked like these four red, bright green lights.
They were so bright.
There were helicopters with no lights
chasing or following these objects.
- [Tony] Looking closer,
we can see the four luminous objects
form a perfect diagonal line.
Each one is comprised of a darkened top, a bright core,
and yellow and red glowing flanks on the bottom,
and trailing right behind four military helicopters.
- [Michael] I was just in shock.
You don't see this kind of stuff
on an everyday basis in Grand Bay, Alabama.
- [Tony] Michael turns to social media in hopes
that others may be able to shed light on this sighting.
Some wondered if the military was chasing ETs,
while others believe the official story.
This was just regular military training.
- There was a lot of discussion online
regarding whether this was
some sort of secret military test,
and that discussion ranged
from the testing of new military technology
to theories about reverse engineered alien spacecraft.
- The topics here that we're discussing today
go beyond life in the universe.
There are serious homeland security
and airspace safety issues.
- [MJ] This story has only caught more attention
because a man by the name of David Grusch came forward
who claimed that the United States military
was actively engaged in such practices.
- I was informed in the course of my official duties
of a multi-decade UAP crash retrieval
and reverse engineering program.
- For a lot of believers,
because the Grand Bay sighting
has no formal explanation from the US military,
apart from it being a training exercise,
that has led them to think that perhaps
the US military was engaged in some sort of test
of reverse engineered alien technology.
- Huntsville, Alabama is one of America's leading centers
for aerospace and defense research.
It is also a place where rumors of secret technology
have swirled for decades,
with some believing our progress
has been accelerated by recovered alien tech.
Could Michael's encounter be evidence of it?
[graphic clicking] [eerie music]
- [Tony] First things first, could these helicopters
be chasing something otherworldly?
- [Marc] They don't exhibit any of the typical observables
we expect to see with UFOs.
There's no non-ballistic motion.
There's no right angle pass.
There's no vanishing and reappearing.
There's no color changes.
- One thing that we do see is
the objects they're following are in a staggered formation.
So are the helicopters.
This is typical when they're approaching a mission,
doing training.
They stagger themselves for safety.
Mainly, you don't want to run into the guy in front of you.
To me, this indicates it's probably a training maneuver.
- [Tony] But not everyone's convinced.
- [Marc] So in my opinion, this video is of a CGI hoax
because the photographer doing this
captured only the helicopters.
It's human nature.
You're going to follow the oddest,
craziest thing you're seeing in the sky.
So why is he focusing only on the helicopters?
My take is because that's all that was actually there,
and that those four objects were later added.
- [Tony] Fair point.
But here's the thing,
Michael wasn't the only person
who reported and recorded these lights.
To us, that confirms the video is real.
So what are these things?
- The objects as they pass over have marking lights,
the strobes at the top,
but you do see kind of a black structure
that hangs off the bottom.
I think this could be other helicopters,
the MH-6 known as Little Birds.
It's kind of a very small version of the Black Hawk
where special operating teams
will actually hang off the side of the rails,
and they can insert these teams.
They're very maneuverable,
and they often travel in training fights
together with the Black Hawks.
I do think in this case
it's explainable as a training mission.
[graphic clicking]
- Our verdict, we feel confident that these lights
were MH-6 Little Bird
helicopters engaged in
a military training exercise.
But with new innovations
coming out of Huntsville all the time,
Alabama can expect more strange sights on the horizon.
Think you made an embarrassing mistake at work?
Well, in 1996, one Space Shuttle mission
lost a satellite worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
Lucky for those astronauts,
something else happened on that mission
that ended up being way more memorable.
- [Tony] It's February 1996,
and the Space Shuttle Columbia is conducting mission STS 75
using something called the tethered satellite system.
- On that mission, NASA ran an experiment
using a 12-mile long electromagnetic tether.
- [Amy] Designed to generate electricity for the shuttle
as it dragged through the Earth's magnetic field.
- [Tony] But during deployment,
the tether unexpectedly snaps and drifts into space.
- [Tony] Days later,
the crew regains visual contact with the tether,
and this is what they see.
- [Amy] In the footage of the tether,
it looks like there are these spherical objects
that are drawn to it and then pass by it,
almost as though they're interacting with that tether.
- [Tony] Let's look at that again.
Dozens of round objects
appear to be swarming the tether intentionally.
- They look to be objects moving with purpose.
They look like they're there for a reason.
- [Tony] The tether incident initially makes news
for the loss of the $440 million satellite,
but soon attention shifts to these strange objects.
- UFO researchers believe that unidentified objects
are drawn to areas with large energy fields.
So some believe the tether dragging
through the electromagnetic field was
what was drawing these unidentified objects
almost like it was a way for them to charge themselves up.
- A NASA investigation found that the tether failure
was caused by an electrical discharge
which generated enough heat to melt the tether.
The question is, did an electrical discharge
also provoke the convergence of otherworldly craft?
Let's go to the experts.
[graphic clicking] [dramatic music]
- [Tony] Right off the bat, we note a strange discrepancy
in this supposed UFO video.
- I think if there was actually something going on,
you'd see a lot more excitement in this shot here,
but no one really seems
to be paying them very much attention.
- Could this be a UFO? Not likely.
None of them were detected by NASA,
which can see something the size of a wrench and track it.
- That suggests to me that these objects
are not actually out there by the tether itself.
- [Tony] So these are what? Video artifacts?
- I think what we're seeing here is
what is known as bokeh, which is the quality
of an out of focus highlight in an image.
So it's what a dot of light looks like
when it's out of focus.
- The objects that are seen are most likely just debris
and ice particles around the spacecraft itself.
- [Mick] This is something that is commonly seen
by astronauts around the Space Station,
because whenever they open a door,
you get ice particles because the oxygen
that's residual in the airlock will freeze.
So you get this debris that's just kind of floating around.
- [Tony] Now debris doesn't have controlled movement.
According to our experts, neither do these objects.
- [Rich] There's nothing controlled about
the movements of these objects.
Unless a force is acted upon some particle in space,
it'll always go in a straight line.
- [Tony] But what about those
that do appear to change direction?
- [Mick] Another possibility is that the ice particle
can actually act as its own thruster.
Sunlight from one direction
will warm one side of ice particles.
When they get heated, the gases inside them can expand,
and then they can out gas
through a crack in the surface of the ice crystal,
creating a force which pushes the ice particle
in a different direction.
- [Dr. Rogers] This kind of phenomenon is seen
on every Space Shuttle mission,
but unless you have a camera recording it
at just the right time, you don't see this.
[graphic clicking]
- Our verdict: these are simply ice particles
produced by the shuttle.
They appeared distorted due to an optical phenomenon
known as the bokeh effect.
NASA came to the same conclusion.
- The Bigfoot legend is
typically associated with North America.
Asia has yeti stories.
But South America has its own tales of hairy creatures.
Did someone snap a photo of one more than a century ago?
- [Tony] It's the late 1910s in the jungles of Venezuela
near the Tarra River.
Swiss geologist Francois de Loys is searching for oil
when he claims two large hairy creatures
emerge from the forest walking upright.
They begin howling and hurling feces.
- One of his men basically shot one of these things
while the other one escaped into the woods.
They took the creature, propped it up against a box,
and snapped a single
photograph of it.
- [Tony] Take a good look.
The photo shows a posed corpse
leaning against a crate with a long stick
placed under its chin to prop up its head.
De Loys claims the figure stands around five feet tall,
has 32 teeth, the same number as other great apes
like gorillas and people.
It's also missing a tail.
They lose the remains, but the photo survives.
- [Cliff] The photograph sat around out of sight
for a number of years until one day de Loys
showed it to his friend,
an anthropologist named George Montandon.
- Montandon urged de Loys to share it with the world,
and it was soon published in
"The Illustrated London News"
on June 15th, 1929.
He named the animal Amer-Anthropoides Loysi,
believing it to be a missing link between apes and humans.
- [Cliff] After Sasquatch kind of entered
the consciousness of North Americans,
people started connecting this photograph
as a possible South American candidate for Sasquatch.
- [Tony] South America is no stranger to strange creatures.
British adventurer, Percy Fawcett,
wrote that he encountered giant spiders
and once killed a 60-foot long snake.
So could this photo of de Loys' ape
be proof that such fantastic beasts existed?
Let's check with the experts.
[graphic clicking] [intriguing music]
- [Tony] The way it's posed in the photo,
this ape-like creature appears to stand upright.
Does that mean it could be a big foot?
- You can see by the hands and the feet,
they're kind of curled.
That is an arboreal creature,
which means it lives in the trees.
When you compare that to a Sasquatch, which is terrestrial,
they are generally seen as having inline toes,
mid-tarsal break,
and their hands have been described similar to ours
except with just longer fingers and a lot bigger.
- [Tony] What's more, the allegedly five-foot creature
seems small for a South American Sasquatch.
- [Steve] Well, a Sasquatch is generally
anywhere from seven to nine feet tall,
so definitely smaller than a typical adult Sasquatch,
but I think the banana plant was kind of positioned
in a way to give the effect
that the creature looks a little bit larger than what it is.
- [Tony] So fine, it's not a typical Sasquatch,
but could this odd primate still be
the missing link between ape and human?
Since, as with apes, we don't see a tail.
- If we could see the backside,
we could then know the truth about
whether or not de Loys saw a prehensile tail or not.
And the fact that they claim the skull had 32 teeth,
we could have pulled genetics off of that skull,
but we don't have that, and so we cannot verify.
Incredible claims require incredible evidence.
- [Tony] And there is evidence
that de Loys' friend, Montandon,
had a nefarious motive.
- [Dr. Mayor] George Montandon,
who later became a Nazi collaborator,
had this radical evolutionary theory called polygenesis
that was widely discredited even at that time.
Polygenesis is the theory
that different human races originated
from different animal species.
We obviously know that's not true,
and that we all derive from one common human ancestor.
- [Tony] So given all that, what are we looking at?
- [Steve] There is a monkey species that's
indigenous to this area,
and it does kind of match up
to what we're seeing in that photograph.
The cranial structure, its limb lengths,
the fact that it has curved hands,
that all tells me that this is a spider monkey
and not anything close to a Bigfoot that we've seen.
[graphic clicking]
- The verdict: spider monkey.
They're only about two feet tall,
so clearly de Loys measurement was a bit off,
and Montandon's judgment clearly not to be trusted.
Next, we are traveling to a centuries old ghost city
whose mysterious origins continue to puzzle experts.
Was it built by sorcery,
or is it a feat of hyper-advanced engineering?
- [Tony] We're 2,500 miles northeast of Australia
in Pohnpei, Micronesia, where you can find
an epic and uncanny site known as Nan Madol.
- Nan Madol is a city.
It's a stone city.
It's more than 100 plus structures of manmade boulders,
and it's bigger than a football field, that's for sure.
It was built about 800 years ago or more,
and they're built of basalt rocks,
some of them up to 80 tons.
- According to local legend,
the city was constructed by two mythical brothers,
Olisihpa and Olosohpa, who arrived from an unknown land.
- [Tony] Oral histories say the brothers were sorcerers
with the power to levitate rocks
and fly them down to build Nan Madol.
- [Mitch] Adding to the city's mystique
is its isolated location.
Some of the black basalt columns are up to 20 feet long,
were excavated and transported 25 miles
across lagoon waters by a civilization
with no known shipping technology.
We don't fully know how these were lifted into place.
Mythology speculates that this lost civilization
used some kind of unknown technology like magnetic stones
to hoist the megaliths into place.
Basalt is a stone containing
magnetic minerals like magnetite,
and this feeds speculation about magnetic technologies.
- Between 500 to 1,000 people lived in Nan Madol
until it was abandoned between the 15th and 18th centuries.
We think it functioned like a capital city,
a place where priests and nobles lived,
but our mystery is how the builders moved those stones.
[graphic clicking] [intriguing music]
- Some have suggested that perhaps
the ancients were using
some sort of magnetics resistance technology.
If indeed they were using magnets,
they would have to be very large pieces,
and I remind you that archeologists find fish scales.
We would not miss a gigantic set of magnets
that would be used in that way.
So it's very unlikely that magnetism
was part of the key of how they moved these.
There are various ways that you could
lift large stones like this up into place,
but especially when we come to something
that's shaped like a log,
gosh, I mean, you can roll it,
and if you wanted to lift a stone up into a wall,
you'd just pivot by using its weight to your advantage.
If you put a single stone in the middle of it,
you can pivot one side up and one side down,
and then put some rocks on the other side
and then pivot it again, add more rocks,
and you stair step it up.
- [Tony] But some of the biggest basalt columns
were transported from quarries all over mainland Pohnpei.
How?
- [Ed] At the height of Nan Madol,
they made a number of bridges
that would span from one islet to another.
Some of them, you know, 100, 200 feet long.
Probably some of the largest stones
we see in the final phases did not need rafts.
They were able to use the bridge system they created.
The problem for archeologists is we can't prove it.
There's not one theory
that stands out greater than the other.
- [Tony] We'd have more to work with
if the civilization that built this city had survived,
but they're gone too. Why?
- The tradition is sometime in the 15th century,
there was an uprising
because the people were feeling oppressed by the dynasty
that was ruling the island,
and that uprising may have led
to the decline of the community,
but we actually don't know.
We do know there were about 25,000 people
that were living on the islands at the time,
and because we find so few artifacts,
that tells us there wasn't one catastrophic event
that caused the society to collapse.
They had a gradual decline of their society.
[graphic clicking]
- Our verdict: Nan Madol was built
with rollers, tools, and rafts.
The exact process is unknown.
But Barnhart makes a really good case.
Where there's a will, there's a way.
- If you are a regular viewer,
you have probably heard the term USO,
unidentified-submerged object.
Not only has the Pentagon
confirmed their existence under the UAP umbrella,
in 2013, US Customs and Border Patrol
filmed one darting around an airport in Puerto Rico.
Turns out that may have only been the beginning.
- [Tony] June 11th, 2023, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
A boat full of fishermen is taking
a leisurely night cruise through the harbor.
- They were just friends going on a fishing trip.
When they were coming back,
they saw these lights under the water.
- [Tony] Cell phone video captures
two giant swaths of green lights
below the water's surface.
- [Tony] Alejandro Rojas leads research at Enigma Labs,
a global crowdsourced database of UFO sightings.
He's convinced this video is both real and really weird.
- [Alejandro] These guys who seem to be familiar
with going out there and fishing
had no idea what these lights were.
You can hear in the video just how nervous
and kind of scared they are.
- We don't typically see illuminated spots
underwater like this.
It's not clear whether it's coming
from one large object, multiple objects,
how big they are, and how deep they are.
- Pilots have also said
that they have seen objects accelerating at extreme speeds
and crossing the air-sea boundary
in ways that defy known human technology.
- [Amy] In a 29-page report released in 2024,
retired Navy Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet said
that any object that could breach the air-sea barrier
without making a sound or a splash
would have absolutely global implications.
Some believe that aliens have
fast-moving underwater technology
and that the US Navy has a secret program
called the Fast Mover Program
designed to detect and track them.
According to one insider,
those reports are classified, logged,
and then locked into a vault.
- When it comes to maritime security,
there's also the possibility
that these green lights in Florida
could belong to a foreign adversary.
- In December of 2025, Ukraine used an underwater drone
to damage a Russian submarine in the Black Sea.
Could these green lights be evidence
of a similar technology operating much closer to home?
- [Fisher] There's somebody there, bro!
- [Tony] In the past,
Navy submariners logged mysterious sonar contacts
as sea life or other natural phenomena,
simply because unidentified wasn't an option.
So could these green lights
just be a misidentified natural phenomenon?
Let's see what our experts think.
[graphic clicking] [mysterious music]
- [Tony] Could these be some type of light-emitting animals?
- A bioluminescent organism is an organism
that can create its own light.
In Fort Lauderdale, Florida,
there are bioluminescent organisms,
including comb jellies and dinoflagellates,
but those are very small animals,
and what we're seeing here is
entirely too bright to be these creatures.
I would say the only thing
that this could be is an artificial light source.
- [Tony] Some have suggested these could be
the underwater lights used by a diver,
but Steingass disagrees.
- [Dr. Steingass] We see a green here,
and that's really not an ideal color to be using at night.
In the water where blue is the most visible color,
that's the best type of lighting to use.
- [Tony] So could we be looking at submersible drones
like the one recently used in the Black Sea?
That argument might not hold water.
- The underwater drones I'm familiar with
are of military use,
and so they typically don't want to announce their location
by shining a light upwards.
- Underwater drones typically have
directional beams of light
that's focusing on whatever the subject is.
We don't see that happening here.
- [Tony] So could this be a genuine USO?
- When people have made those claims,
they talk about these transmedium vehicles
that move really fast in unexplained ways.
This right here is much more pedestrian.
This is a much more everyday example of a light
beneath the water that is of unknown origin.
I'm guessing that this is definitely a human-made light,
but I have no idea what it's attached to.
[graphic clicking]
- Our experts are stumped,
so we're calling this an unexplained artificial glow.
It appears to be emanating from something manmade,
but we haven't identified it yet.
For more on these odd phenomena
and everything else we talk about on the show,
check out this new book,
"Evidence of the Extraordinary:
Discoveries from the Series The Proof Is Out There."
It was written by our executive producer, Miguel Sancho,
and whether you're into UFOs, Bigfoot, or ghosts,
there's something in here for everybody.
- Siberia's forest region is, in a word, huge,
nearly twice the size of the Amazon rainforest.
So is it any wonder people believe uncataloged creatures
are lurking amongst its trees?
- [Tony] It's 2011 in Russia's Sayan Mountains
in Southern Siberia.
Avid hunter, Sergey Dyatlov,
is up on a platform waiting for game.
He's dozing off at around 1:00 AM
when he hears a strange sound in the distance.
[creature whistling]
[creature whistling]
- [Tony] Sergey decides to leave,
but at that night's campfire, the noises return.
And this time, it's howls and grunts.
[creature howling and roaring]
- This video contains a wide variety of very unusual sounds.
Some of these sound very similar
to other sounds that are purported
to come from Sasquatches in North America.
- [Tony] Russia has its fair share of Sasquatch sightings,
and its own name for such a creature.
- The indigenous Yakut people of Siberia
have long told stories of a mysterious figure
known as the Chuchunya,
a tall, primitive looking human covered in ragged skins
that was known to steal food,
but would flee whenever they were seen.
- [Tony] Is this what Sergey heard here?
Or could these sounds instead be connected
to another type of ancient human, the Denisovans?
- [Cliff] The area where this video was recorded is not very
far from where the first known Denisovan was found.
A small segment of a finger bone was discovered in a cave.
- [Tony] The discovery was made in 2008
by Russian archeologist digging in the Altai Mountains.
Additional fossil remains,
including the likely skull of a Denisovan,
have since been found at other sites.
Researchers believe that Denisovans
were stockier and more robust than Neanderthals,
but lived at the same time
from around 400,000 to 30,000 years ago.
[creature howling and roaring]
In the 1980s, a researcher was told
a story of two Kazakh hunters
who caught what they called a wild man
in the same mountain range
where the first Denisovan fossil was found.
The hunters felt so bad for the furious hairy creature
that they ended up setting it free.
Is this sighting related to what Sergey experienced?
[graphic clicking] [intriguing music]
- [Tony] Before we go hunting a Siberian Sasquatch,
let's consider if Sergey heard a surviving Denisovan.
- There is zero fossil evidence to support
that Denisovans have been in existence
since the late Pleistocene.
Given that they died out 40,000 years ago,
survivors would've had to have
a population of thousands of individuals
in order to have a continuous breeding population.
- [Tony] Then is it possible the whistling noise
came from a person or a humanoid like the Chuchunya?
- The whistle sounds are very fixed in frequencies.
A human whistle will have fluctuations.
[human whistles]
[creature whistles]
So perhaps these are of some sort of
mechanical repeatable origin,
a windmill rotating that had a creaky hinge.
- [Tony] Yet those whistles aren't
the only sounds we're hearing.
What about these groaning, growling noises?
[creature howling and roaring]
Is it just the local wildlife?
- If we listen to the sound of a bear.
[bear moans]
The sounds of the Siberian recording several times
have this very similar characteristic.
[creature moans]
But there are other long drawn out moans.
[bear moans]
[creature moans]
If we compare those to the Ohio howls
as an example of possible Bigfoot in North America.
[Ohio creature howls]
[Siberian creature moans]
We have that very similar type of quality
with this long drawn out characteristic.
There are sufficient similarities to those
that it could be a plausible comparison.
[graphic clicking]
- Our verdict: unknown source.
The soundscape is so complex
that it is hard to nail down each sound's origin.
There are recent alleged Chuchunya sightings
in very inaccessible parts of the Arctic Circle.
So maybe it's still out there scaring hunters like Sergey.
- There is something inherently uncanny about twins.
Consider the phenomenon known as cryptophasia,
where twins develop a secret language only they understand.
But the strangest matter of twinterest may be in India,
where an entire town is seeing double.
- [Tony] It's August 2008 in the southern Indian town of Kodinhi.
Reports of an astounding discovery
draw news crews from all over the world
to document a bizarre statistical anomaly,
a village teeming with twins.
[villager speaking Hindi]
- [Tony] Young twins in matching outfits
flood the village classrooms and spill into the streets.
[student speaking Hindi]
- According to recent estimates,
there are more than 400 pairs of twins
amongst only 2,000 families in this village.
Comparatively, the entire country of India has
a relatively low twinning rate of only 9 per 1,000 families.
- The community decided,
"That's weird. Why are there so many twins here?"
They themselves know that it is highly unusual,
and they would like to understand
why this is happening.
- Some theorize that there could
literally be something in the water
that is causing such a high rate of twinning.
This is not only a mystery to those
who live in the village or in the surrounding areas,
it's a mystery to scientists
who cannot explain what is taking place here.

- [Tony] Time to ask the experts.
First, is it the water?
- I don't believe that there's anything in the water
that's causing so many twins in this village.
In 2011, there was a study published
in a gynecological journal that showed
that there was no correlation or connection
between the twin birth rates
and dietary or water factors.
- [Tony] Then could it have something
to do with the town's gene pool?
- We do find that when you have
very isolated, small communities
that you're going to have an increase in twins.
- [Tony] But there's a problem.
Women who were born in the town
and then moved away don't give birth
to twins in the same numbers,
and their genes definitely didn't change
with their address.
So,could it have more to do with age?
- [Lisa] As mothers get older,
they're more likely to have twins.
Now, even though that's a really valid theory,
the women in this village
tend to have their children at a younger age,
so I don't think that's what's going on here.
- [Kathy] I don't think it's environmental.
I don't think they're taking treatments to have twins.
It may be some reason we don't yet know.

- Our verdict: this is an unexplained phenomenon.
Although there may be some genetic factors,
a single clear cause remains a mystery.
- [Tony] We have new developments in a story
we first brought to you in a previous season.
Back in July of 2024,
a UFO researcher captured this video
in the Amazonian region of Acre.
Filmed off his monitor,
it shows several fireball-like orbs
cruising slowly through the night sky
before beginning to zigzag at lightning speed.
Let's see that again.
These images call to mind another famous Brazilian case
in the town of Colares.
- Brazil had its own Roswell event
in 1977.
The locals were tormented by what they allege as UAP,
in some cases coming down
and even sucking and removing the blood
from some of the civilian population.
Brazilian military and law enforcement
were called in at the national level to investigate.
- [Tony] And it didn't end there.
In 1996 in the Brazilian city of Varginha,
several locals reported seeing UAPs
and strange alien-like creatures with large red eyes.
- This tells us that perhaps Brazil
may be a hotspot for UAP activity.
- [Tony] Given those other cases,
our team was eager to investigate.
They ruled out a meteor because of the color.
- You can get a variety of colors,
but you're not going to have these
kind of flaming oranges and reds.
- [Tony] Then what about an airplane?
- [Rich] That's instantaneous acceleration.
I can honestly say
that I've not seen anything like that before.
- We landed on genuine UFO
because it fell into that category of truly anomalous.
The new development has to do with that case we mentioned,
the one in 1996 in Varginha,
where people reported alien-like creatures with red eyes.

[audience applauds]
- [Tony] At a recent press conference,
filmmaker and investigator James Fox
claimed the Brazilian army recovered
two extraterrestrial beings that crashed near Varginha,
one dead specimen and one that was still alive.
At the event, Fox presented several Brazilian eyewitnesses,
some of whom described seeing UAP craft
moving in erratic movements
just like the ones from our footage.

[woman speaking Portuguese]
[woman speaking Portuguese]
- [Tony] The press conference even detailed
alleged encounters between alien specimens
and medical personnel.
- One doctor claimed that when he looked
at the alien body on the operating table,
he could tell that it was
of higher intelligence than human beings.
[man speaking Portuguese]
[graphic clicking]
- We are sticking with our original verdict of genuine UFO.
As for the news conference,
the Brazilian military concluded
these claims were fictitious,
although some believe they may be covering up the truth.
One thing's for certain,
there's something strange happening
in the skies over Brazil.
And that's our show for tonight.
Thank you so much for watching.
And as always, remember
to keep those cameras rolling.
[exciting music]
