and for as long as
I can remember I had

a best friend named Angel.

I guess I should start
from the beginning.

Angel and I both grew
up in the flatlands

of Oakland, California.

We didn't grow up in the
projects or anything like that,

My mother passed away
when I was real young

so I lived with my grandmother
and my cousin Sasha.

Angel lived next
door with her mother

and her mother's boyfriend.
