Episode 8

Mrs. Chef.

Please head home first with Mi Ran.

Oh no, I couldn't do that. How could I do that?

It's okay. We're going back to the safe house this afternoon anyway.

Head back first and prepare everything.

That sounds like a good plan, ma'am. Let's go back together.

You too? You're supposed be here too.

It's ok. I'll do it.

Also, there's plenty of people around to help if we need anything.

That's right, there are lots of personnel here. Let's go back.

You don't have your head on straight.

OK. I'll go home first and get things ready.

Keep up the good work.

We're going back to the safe house this afternoon.

So, let me know if you need anything before then.

Is there nothing you need?

Ok, I guess you don't want anything.

Why?

Why did you bring my father to me?

To stop you from dying.

Why is it any of business of yours whether I live or die?

Do you have any idea how many people are suffering because of you?

Suffering?

I guess so. I'm sorry

for making villains like you suffer.

You're right, we're villains.

We're villains that are imprisoning and surveiling you.

However, it would be nice if you could acknowledge that we're also trying to protect you.

Is impersonating my father by cooking me ramen and buying me ice cream protecting me?

I don't need that so just leave.

Fine.

It seems that I've made your father a useless promise.

Promise?

W-We're arrived.

Just how are you running your security?!

I apologize. It's my fault. I will take responsibility.

Responsibility? How?

I will resign.

Resign? Do you understand what that means?

Do you know what it means to resign from here?

I'll accept your decision.

And those bitches and bastards?

The police are pretending to investigate the incident, however...

However?

The people who tried to kill the assemblyman are now turning their back around

and that girl is now accusing him of sexual harassment.

They're asking for a confrontation with the assemblyman.

(During a criminal prosecution the accused may request confrontation with the accused)

Fine, let them go without any charges.

I'll take care of them after they're released.

- Chief Kim, - Yes.

You must get rid of that bodyguard who betrayed us.

That's the way you prevent others from doing that.

Chase him to the ends of the earth.

Yes, I'll do it per your instructions.

Park Gwan Soo.

I'm requesting the prosecutor's office to investigate

the financial sector immediately.

Don't worry about it. Everything he's saying is just for show.

If he messes with us, he will also...

He's not in! You can't come in here!

Due to suspicion of violations of the Electronic Financial Transaction Act, the Foreign Exchange Control Law

and the creation of a slush fund, we are placing you under emergency arrest.

You have the right to remain silent and everything you say can be used against you in the court of law.

You have the right to retain a lawyer.

Let's go.

Jang Se Jin, damn you!

What brought you here?

From this point on, we are executing a seize and search warrant. Everyone put your hands down.

You over there! Put your hands down.

We are carrying out official duties.

Here he comes.

Assemblyman Jang, please give us a comment.

Are you confident about the prosecutor's investigation?

What do you think the result of the investigation will be?

Everyone, you're all working hard this morning.

I will honestly cooperate with their investigation and clear up everyone's worries.

Could you make a comment?

Please give us more comments.

Assemblyman, please, just one word.

How much did you get from them?

Did you get it or not?

How do you expect the investigation to go?

Please give us a comment!

Just one word, please!

Welcome. Please come this way.

I will.

We're not here to execute a search warrant forcefully.

We're here because the assemblyman volunteered to cooperate with the investigation so remember to mind your manners.

Yes sir.

Oh, have you arrived?

Madam, have you come to greet us?

I apologize for suddenly inconveniencing you.

What do you mean inconvenience? You're doing your official duty.

Please make yourselves comfortable.

To start, we've boxed up everything we could for you.

If you need anything further you can search the house.

You didn't have to do all this for us.

Oh also, did you all eat breakfast?

I've prepared some sandwiches on the kitchen table.

I made plenty so take your time and eat while you work.

Thank you very much.

What are you all doing. Go ahead and eat.

I've heard about Madam's famous cooking skills.

I consider this an honor.

- You're making me blush.- Thank you.

- Come this way.- Okay.

I prepared yours in my study room. Please come with me.

Shall we?

This study is elegant and dignified just like you.

Is that so? Thank you.

Please help yourself.

Thank you.

Is the investigation on the International Finance going well?

Ah, well.

The thing is, even though I know they are related to you,

the higher-ups have an extreme interest in investigating this case, so there's nothing much I can do.

Please investigate them with impartiality.

Yes?

Please consider the higher-ups' will is my will as well.

I understand.

I'll do my best.

The number you dialed is not connected...

Are you still having trouble getting hold of the Chief Secretary?

This is just like Choi Yoo Jin.

In-law, this is not the time to laugh.

What would you rather have me do?

If you went after her uncle like that, then we...

She was able to do that because he's a small fish.

But if she messes with me or my son-in-law

then she would be forfeiting the election.

What money would she use to finance the campaign?

I can't let her do that.

She has such a fierce personality.

When she loses sight of reason she'll do anything to achieve her goal.

The problem is what happens after the election.

If we don't make ourselves secure before the day they enter the Blue House,

we will be in a really dangerous situation.

Including the International Finance Corporation, Sambu Financial and others

under suspicion of 6 counts of corruption

will undergo a major investigation.

In addition, starting with Independent candidate Jang Se Joon, who is voluntarily undergoing investigation,

many politicians in the ruling and opposing parties will be under investigation.

Much attention is being put on the entire political community to see if this investigation will put them in distress.

On to the next news story.

Besides the International Finance Co., they are all our sponsors.

And the investigation?

It's fine, you can talk.

On our side it looks like it may be Assemblyman Kim, Assemblyman Heo, and Assemblyman Song.

What?

With the guidelines issued it's clearly a targeted investigation.

Although I suspected it,

this blow hurts.

If we leave it this way, the confused assemblymen will become agitated.

Can you please leave the room?

Yes, please let me know when you're finished talking.

Min Cheol, is it that Jang Se Joon has nine lives?

Or are we just unlucky?

I apologize for saying this but I think the other side has an exceptional person on their side.

An exceptional person?

The person who tried to attack you last time...

Revolving door?

Mr. Prosecutor! Mr. Prosecutor!

Give us some comments.

How were they? Did they cooperate well?

Please go back.

Chief Park, are you really going to be like this?!

Assemblyman, don't act this way towards a powerless person like me.

Why don't you resolve this with my superiors?

Chief Prosecutor Park, you still have a lot of time left in your term; you should be smart about this.

Did you go blind from staring at the setting sun?

Of course not.

I just wanted nature to take its course.

Was it Chief Kim who laid down these guidelines?

Oh yes, I knew it would happen. I knew it.

Fine, so you can at least wait until the next guidelines are set.

Well, it's not like we'll be starting new investigations.

In any case, within the next 3 days...

Before then you better not mess with my assemblymen for your own good

as I'll be setting the next guidelines! I'm hanging up!

These guys, really.

What's happening with the police investigation?

They're saying that it's difficult to implicate Jang Se Joon...

You idiot!

I apologize.

We can't leave it like this.

I was saving this for the finals but I think I need to pull out the big guns.

After putting together all the reports about Angel, it's clear that she made an appearance in Seochon.

Seok -Cho? Oh my God, that's where I live.

The majority of the sightings have been in the southern part of Seoul Forest.

Pay special attention to that location.

How about Busan?

The results of a photo examination show a 0% match

I see.

- Enjoy your meal.- Thank you.

How about Naegok-dong?

You're the only person who has reported seeing her in Naegok-dong.

Please give up.

Ah... I'm sure I saw her somewhere.

It appears that she was exposed to the public at the park yesterday.

- Where's Anna now?- She's on her way back.

What should I do?

Isn't it the time to make your decision?

You're right we are the villains.

We're villains that are imprisoning and surveilling you.

However, it would be nice if you could acknowledge that we're also trying to protect you

Anna, wake up!

What kind of promise?

What did you promise to my father?

I did not lose my ears! And why don't you sit properly?

It's dangerous... really.

Your father asked me to protect you so I promised him that I will.

What more?

Anyway, since I promised yesterday, I will protect you from now on.

From now on, I won't let anybody hurt you.

- Even if it turns out to be Choi Yoo Jin.- Did I ask to protect me?

Right, but even if your father asked me to protect you, still you are an adult.

If you don't want me to protect you, I will leave your side whenever.

If you don't like it, tell me right away. Got it?

Understand?

Okay.

# Isn't she the Barcellona's Angel?

What are you staring at?

I told you back then about Lafelt's Angel, she might be a Korean.

She kinda looks like her.

But isn't it bad to write an article with just this proof?

- Maybe?- Yes...

Work hard!

Thank you. For listening to my father's request.

And also for bringing him to me so that I could find out the truth about him abandoning me and my mom.

Don't say stupid things.

- Because your dad did not abandon you. - Stupid things?

Who said that? Dad abandoned us!

When Mom died, when I was taken to Spain, he didn't appear!

You're right! Your dad is a very bad man, a very bad politician.

But if your father did, for real, abandon you,

you probably wouldn't be alive.

Since Choi Yoo Jin is not the type of person to rest her fate on someone with poor chances.

Therefore you should grow up and act like an adult.

if you want to be able to fight someone like Choi Yoo Jin and survive.

Oh my... Hey! Where are you?! Reporter Park!

If I catch you, I'll kill you! Come out right now!

How could you take it from me!

I'll come back soon.

Yes, come back safely.

- Get in. - Why?

Hey, who are you?

I... I apologize.

That's Anna's predicament.

Rather than letting her be exposed to public, it is better to let her die.

In any case, if Anna goes around, causing trouble like that,

I am not sure if Choi Yoo Jin will let Anna live.

What happened? Who was that guy?

It's nothing.

Freeze. Freeze!

Freeze.

What's that?

- Go. - Go?

You don't know the game "Freeze and Go?".

You stop when I say "Freeze" and you move at "Go". "Freeze and Go" game.

Here, Go.

Great job.

Next...

- Sit down.- What?

Sit down.

Like this?

So obedient. That's fine.

What are you doing?

Mutt training.

What?

Freeze.

Go.

Freeze.

Go.

Freeze. Freeze!

I ask o you this favor.

Yes... I lived long enough.

Hello, is this the entertainments department?

About that Barcelona Angel,

I know really well who she is.

Yes, right. It's true!

I'm telling you it's for certain!

Why would I make this up?

She's Anna! The movie star Eom Hye Rin's daughter.

Who am I? Oh, my...

It's not polite to ask those sorts of things.

I'm hanging up! I have to call other newspapers as well. I am busy!

Aigoo!

Now, are you really going to keep saying that she's not in Naegok-dong?

- Wow!- You found her! It's a 100% match!

- Amazing!- It's Naegok-dong!

Please share the location with us!

The address is Naegok-dong 3589-1. Come quick.

You can meet Angel

Yay! Let's go!

You upload the address.

If you get people to gather in front of the house in an hour's time, I'll let you take a picture with her. Understand?

Hooray!

What?

This article broke out.

Now they even know her address.

Move Anna away, hurry!

That... the internet users and reporters are already surrounding her house.

Listen up to what I have to say.

- Hello.- Yes, Madam?

Where are you now?

I'm going to the safe house.

You know what you must do, correct?

What more do I have to wait for?

Shouldn't I just start preventing people from talking?

Yes. Do not fail me.

Yes. But Madam?

Yes?

I need you to authorize me on a matter.

What is it?

I will make my decision at the site

as I watch the situation... But just in case...

Just in case?

If Anna is revealed to the public,

is it ok if I take care of it myself before I report back to you?

Isn't that obvious? Why ask?

It's a hundred times easier to take care of a dead dog than a barking dog!

Yes, I understand.

But I don't think Assemblyman is on the same page.

Call the strike team captain.

Are you trying to bargain with me right now?

It's not like that, Madam.

Doing something to the daughter of a person who will become president

is making me nervous.

Yes, Manager Ju.

He's right next to me now.

I understand. I'll be on standby.

The person you need to be scared of right now is me.

Of course! If it is your order,

I would do it by any means.

I'll see that for myself when I get there. I'm on my way.

- Cancellation of standby. Let's go.- Okay.

I'm at Naegok-dong 3589-1.

Find me the identity of the person who owns the house.

Also, look into her connection with Eom Hye Rin.

Okay.

What should I do, Manager?

What are you saying? Close all the doors and wait quietly.

Hello? Hello?!

Yes, Manager?

President Gook is on his way over there.

He's with the strike team. Assemblyman Jang is in the Public Prosecutor's Office and I can't make any movements.

Sergeant Kim, now Anna is in your hands.

Your mission is to prevent the media from making contact with the target

Especially if the target starts talking about her father,

you must kill her by any means.

- You know what I mean, right?- Yes!

We're about to arrive.

When we get out of the car, everyone must move quickly to their appointed positions.

Yes!

You, go to the closest distance to the target and be on standby.

If remote interception does not work, eliminate the target from a close range.

After the elimination, quickly leave the site

and remain on standby at BT.

Yes.

If by chance you are captured, you don't know me, understand?

Yes.

Get up. It's time now.

Hey, don't worry.

You can do it.

Oh! Someone's coming out!

Wow! Oh!

Geez, what's up with her!

It's not me. I'm not her.

My Miss will come out in a minute.

Wooow!

But I have a favor to ask you, that's why I came out like this.

You can take photos but

you can't have your flash on. Never!

She really hates flashing cameras, you know?

Sure! Don't worry.

Yes, thank you.

I'm leaving it to you.

Alright.

Shooter 1. Ready.

Miss. It's now your turn.

Be strong!

Freeze?

Target in position.

Ready,

Go.

♫ Run, run. Soon it will be too late. ♫

♫ Lies, lies. And the wind rises. ♫

♫ Run, run. I'm fine. ♫

♫ Lies, lies. It's also my fault. ♫

♫ Look out. Look out. Look out. Look out. ♫

Oh! It's the angel!

The angel has finally appeared!

Wow! So beautiful!

Please look this way!

You're so pretty!

Wow. This is so awesome.

Please look over here!

Wow, so pretty. We love you!

Awesome

Wow, we love you!

You're so pretty!

Look over here!

Hey, hey, hey. Quiet! Quiet!

Hello,

I am the daughter of the deceased Eom Hye Rin, Go Anna.

Your voice is beautiful.

Wow.

Wow!

Are you the Barcelona Angel?

I'm no angel, but the fact was right that I was in Barcelona.

Woah, it's her! It's her!

Then what is your nationality?

Ah, and who is your father?

Shoot!

Right now! Shoot!

- My nationality is Korean,- Wow! A Korean!

and my father is...

You can't.

my father is...

the deceased movie director, Go Joon Ho.

Oh, a movie director?

Wow, so cool.

What are you doing right now?

Not sure. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

Hey, what are you doing? Stop using flash!

Stop it! Don't use it!

Stop using flash!

Stop it! Stop it!

The lady said not to use flash!

Miss! Miss!

Anna! Anna!

Anna, stay with me! Anna, stay with me!

Anna, are you okay?

Anna, come to your senses!

Please stop it! My child is sick!

Anna! Anna, are you okay?

Those two haven't done anything wrong.

It was all done by my command.

Yes, Madam. We thought it was from you.

Shut up!

Why did you do such a thing?

Isn't it better this way? Instead of the angel dying in front of them?

Then why didn't you report in advance?

It's true,

if she died, it would've been a hassle.

Alright, you handled today quickly and well.

Good job.

Madam, it's a lie. You can't fall for it.

It's fine. I can just kill her tomorrow, then.

Isn't that right?

You guys did a good job today, too.

Thank you, Madam.

Thank you.

Will you please excuse us? I need to speak with this guy.

Take a seat.

You've had a busy two days, rescuing the Assemblyman Jang from Park Gwan Soo,

and rescuing Anna from my grasp.

But

are you really going to keep cleaning after childish people only?

Have you given up on Raniya's revenge?

Since they started their first move already,

I want to pull the trigger now.

Madam, it's definitely a lie. They must've planned it toget—

I know!-What?

Are you stupid? Why would you argue there? Do you still not know the difference between being fooled and letting myself be fooled?

Anna is already wielding the knife.

Recently, the famous designer, Jean Paul LaFelt

uploaded a post gaining netizen attraction, nicknamed "Barcelona Angel"

She has recently been found to have been of Korean descent.

The person of interest, Go Anna, has been found to be the daughter of the deceased movie director Go Yoon Ho

and the deceased actress Eom Hye Rin, and has gained more interest.

In addition, Go Anna has been

Anna?

... under the care of Senator Jang's wife, Choi Yoo Jin. We are curious about their relationship.

We can live!

This is the next story...

Oh, you know, just...

Doesn't it hurt?

It doesn't hurt.

It looks like you're hurt. Are you okay?

Yeah, I'm okay.

Hey, you really! So dangerous up here!

I'm going.

Don't go.

What?

Stay for a bit and then go.

Don't stand. If you fall off it's dangerous. It's dangerous even if you slip.

Just like you slipped before and cracked the tiles.

Hey, it's not dangerous! I'm not in any danger at all.

It hurts, doesn't it?

It doesn't hurt.

Thank you.

For everything. All of it.

For the train station in Barcelona, the ramen, the ice cream,

for bringing my dad,

for earlier today, and for right now.

♫ Seeing you is painful for me ♫

Well, I mean, all those things are, uh,

you know, things you should be thanking me for.

What?

Be grateful to me.

♫ Every so often I used to cry silently ♫

From now on, your life will be different. You've started getting the interest of many people.

♫ Every so often I used to think of you ♫

From now on, if you have somewhere you want to go, you can go there.

If you have something you want to do, you can do it all you want.

And if you want to be by yourself, there isn't anyone to stop you.

But, you can't be alone.

The moment you walk away from the crow

that's when you'll die.

The reason you've survived up to now is because Choi Yoo Jin didn't need to be wary of you.

But now, the situation's changed a lot.

You have become Choi Yoo Jin's most vulnerable point now.

With your one word, she can lose everything.

From the outside, she'll try to win you over. But once people's interest in you fades,

Choi Yoo Jin will aim for that moment.

Then, what if I first

reveal that Jang Se Joon is my father?

Then you'll become a child that ruins her father's life.

Will you be okay with that?

I understand now.

That's why mother died too. She was afraid that my politician dad would be ruined because of her.

On the day that my mom died,

she was expecting that my dad would come. Like an idiot.

On that day, my dad was supposed to come

but in the end he didn't come.

That's when my mom started drinking. Just like all the other days my dad couldn't come.

Hey, Jang Se Joon. You said you'd come.

You said you would come today.

Alright.

Those words were right. You never had any intention of coming to America with me.

Being an Assemblyman? Is it that good?

Now, I'm going to tell the whole world!

Politics? I don't give a crap!

But she knew she couldn't.

I hated seeing the image of my mom drinking.

I was sick of the smell of her alcohol, the sweat, the tears. And when she went to her room,

she would drag me in and cry herself to sleep.

Mommy

Sometimes, I thought: because mom is like this,

daddy must not want to come home.

That's right. My Anna. To mommy, she has her Anna.

My lovely daughter.

Come to mommy.

But I didn't go to her.

Do you not like mommy?

You smell. Alcohol smell.

I'm sorry.

But, mommy is so sad. She's so sad so that's why. Because she's so sad.

Anna, mommy is so sad.

Can Anna hug Mommy very tight?

I didn't hug her. That day I just thought that Mom

I just thought that Mom was drunk.

Mom, Mom I'm so sorry.

Mom

I did wrong. Mom,

It's okay.

It's just that you were very young.

It's just... that you were young. It's okay. It's okay.

No, it's not.

I was so bad.

If I think about what I did next,

Mommy, take this.

My Anna, you must not like me crying. Do you want me to sleep a very very long time?

Yes. I don't like seeing this. I want you to sleep without waking up. Please.

I wish I could sleep for a very very long time too.

Mommy, take this and sleep. When Dad comes, I'll wake you up.

When Dad comes? Then I'll have to sleep a very long time.

I.. I killed my mom like that!

I killed my mom!

I'm sorry!

If I had known that was the last time I'd see her...

Mommy, it was my fault.

Send him in.

Party Leader, have you been well?

Take a seat.

Yes sir. Thank you.

- You seem you are doing great.- Pardon?

Ah, yes. All thanks to you, Party Leader.

Since you have great insurance, you must feel very assured.

What? What insurance do I have?

Me, and Jang Se Joon. Both sides of the coin.

No, Party Leader, what insurance would I have apart from you?

It's fine, it's fine. Did you bring it?

Oh, yes. Here it is.

Right now, he's registered under the alias of Kim Jae Ha.

That guy was a mercenary in Iraq, but murdered a citizen and then escaped.

Right now, Interpol is looking for him.

Iraq? Blackstone?

No, Blackstone?
