To use Blender, an animation program, as a drawing program compatible with our 3D printers, you need to make some adjustments within the program.
I'm starting by resetting the program to factory settings, so that it will be everyone's homepage.
What we need to do here is create the scaling.
This object is currently 2 meters long. Since we don't have a printer like this, it adds no value to us.
We need to convert this scaling to millimeters.
To do this, first go to the "Unit" section in the settings on the right.
"Metric" is fine, length is measured in meters.
We're simply converting the length to millimeters.
What happened when we converted it to millimeters?
All the values here have been converted to millimeters.
However, the product is still 2 meters long, or 2000 millimeters long.
We will reduce this to 0.1%.
How do we reduce that 1%? If I put 0.50, it becomes one-tenth. Another 1%, and now it's one-thousandth. So, our object is now 2 millimeters long, 2 millimeters high, and 2 millimeters wide.
Since our scene's scaling is still in meters, we'll convert it to millimeters.
So we need to reduce it to one in a thousand. We can do this from the "Viewport" section, which is the view settings, in the upper right corner.
We're also reducing the scaling here to one-thousandth. Yes, it's now one-thousandth on our scene.
So we can see all our lines. If you want, we can delete all the elements.
