Original subtitles

This is Zuma.

I love it.

That's a smart car on steroids.

Does it scream I can go take breaks?

You got the hitch, got the spare tire, got a can for cash, fire extinguisher,

for life. You can see them in the daylight.

And the shovel for digging out if you need to.

It's ridiculous.

I love it.

Are we?

Yeah. Just don't hit any vineyard boats.

Smart car budget?

$16,000.

Spend? $10,000.

Saving up for the $6,000 profit.

But, learning how to work on a smart car?

Great. The ride is actually surprisingly good. You got it really good in that

thing. So we're pretty happy the way things are now.

So, what's going to happen with that?

I'm done.

Thank you. Thank you. What happened?

When a fly goes in your mouth, are you done?

Come on, man. It's not done yet, but it's really close.

It's actually coming to fruition.

I wish we could keep it all.

I'd love to just have a collection of, you know, a warehouse full of every car

that we built. Not me. I'd rather have the money and just build something new

and then give it to the next guy, build something new and do it to the next guy.

I want to get on to this truck that Sean found.

He said this is a pretty cool project. We'll do what we like.

It's another ending saga, right? Right.

One more part of that and one more part of that.

What would you do if there wasn't a new project coming in the store, really?

I'd have to get a real job. Yeah, yeah.

I'd have to get Eric to get a real job.

So the biggest challenge with putting chrome wrap on a vehicle is the bodywork

has to be pretty much perfect bodywork. It's the same stuff they put on

Lamborghinis and Ferraris and all the Mayans are. If it's not perfect and

flawless, you're going to see every little flaw and every single

imperfection. 725.

The chrome let me take this underbird from 1964 and I bring it into the

present. And now I can put it back in 1964 and work along.

This 64th phone-a-verse is the definition of Gotham Garage.

Everybody put their blood, sweat, and tears into this car to make this silver

rocket ship a reality.

Admittedly, on this project, I went extremely overboard and cut the roof off

of it. We sheet metaled in the thin, clear back seat. We put wraparound

aircraft windshields on it.

taking in smoothie wheels, and then we have the Audacity Rapid and Chrome.

So when you're sitting in the driver's seat of this car, you already feel like

you're in an aircraft and a time machine or a shuttle car. You know this car will

all last. You can drive it down the road at 160 if you want to, but if you don't,

you just lay back and cruise.

This car comes from the era when I was a kid, and now I get to play with it after

the whole thing.

You just get lost in the car itself. You get lost in time, but make this a time

machine because it sends you back into 1964.

The connection of this car is really cool. It brings about the dream of

wanting to be an astronaut and fly to the moon.

I can now do that. I'm not really going to the moon, but it sure feels like it

when I'm walking this thing down the highway.

Right now, we spent $15,000 in order to get the T-Bird to this point. If we

sold it, we can get $30,000.

But instead, we're trading it for a 70-year-old deep-side truck that can put

us north on 70 miles an hour when it's done.

Then, Sarah sums up for that $50,000.

How did you meet this guy, Mike? Oh, it's just another one of my friends.

He's a car guy. This guy's been building cars for a while. He's got all 50s marks

all flamed out. He's built that and a couple of other things.

And it's just a project he's kind of got himself on.

He wants something done, so we'll get him something done.

So, uh, do you know what street it is?

Uh, yeah, it's right down here.

Right down here? Right down here.

All right. I need the best.

I need the best.

Wow,

here it is. You'll need your sunglasses.

I've never seen anything like that.

You look like it fits.

Yeah, oh yeah. Looks like it fits, man.

You're a natural in here. Feel free to rev it up a little bit. There you go.

There you go. There you go.

Yeah.

Are you in love?

I love it. Heck yeah, he's loving it.

All right. Let's go take a look at what we traded it for.

Yeah. I'm pleasantly surprised we'll get to drive it. Yeah?

Yeah. I'm hoping.

Let's take a look at this beautiful truck.

Don't take this personally.

This is intended to my resident stepchild over there.

Seriously?

Where's the complete trust?

When we use the word complete, it means that it's actually together.

Or in other words, it's completely different than me.

It's all here, right? All the pieces. It's all around here. I'm seeing it's

really all around here.

Right now, fleets out here are super desirable.

It has the potential to bring us 70 grand, so we're done with it.

But I'm extremely frustrated with Sean right now. If we put this back together,

if everything fits, it's fine to show him what you have to buy.

I

like

the fact that it has

a Corvette rear end in it.

It's all quality parts. There's no cheese ball going on back here.

So all of those pieces equate to a $40,000, $50,000 part on the ground, not

including his labor that he's already done on it. And the birds work 30 grand.

So if I'm trading 30 grand for 50 grand, that's a pretty smart trade.

So I will say, Mike, you've done some really good work. This is the way hard

work was. We made it.

So he's saying you like it.

I'm saying that any parts that are missing, that are coming out of here, I

charge.

That's a pretty good line.

No.

Sean, this is the one time you get very loaded on that trailer while I sit in

the truck.

Get the paperwork.

Get him the other paperwork. We're going to find all the cars. We'll get

everything for you.
